Darkroom is a full featured web-based photo gallery that can be embedded anywhere like a widget. There are a number of different ways to use Darkroom, but the overall goal is to make your pictures look amazing on the web. There are two main components to the application: the gallery and the photo suite.
    The Gallery
Darkroom's visual component allows you to present pictures in appealing ways. It is added to a page by placing the directly after a list of images, or by giving a list of images the class "darkroom_enabled". Once it has been added to a page, Darkroom automatically finds these pictures and transforms them into a compact gallery. When a visitor interacts with the gallery, the rest of the page is dimmed and they are given the option to expand to a view that fills the window. This more advanced view features 3D viewing and flick gestures, and can provide much higher detail for the pictures. The gallery is partially customizable using CSS, including colors and sizes.
    The Photo Suite
The second part of Darkroom is the Darkroom Photo Suite. This component provides a management interface for your gallery, and offers a better way to organize photos on the server. The suite is an additional piece because it requires PHP to function, because of the server interaction and image processing features. Darkroom Photo Suite is easy to use and can be configured very quickly.
