An erudite YouTube musician used yesterday's Google Doodle to create something rather special

Yesterday's Google doodle of the Moog synthesiser gave us all a chance to have a little tinkle on the pre programmed ivories and proved that musical talent only lies within a select few of the Mixmag staff.

But YouTube musician Brett Domino made more than good use of the doddle, layering tracks to create a rather impressive version of Daft Punk's 'Aerodynamic'.

The collection features reissues of the skateboarding brand's iconic Era, Slip-On and Sk8-Hi models, and each piece is draped in stonewashed canvas with various all-over graphic prints from the Vans archives.

Complete with original Van Doren heel tab branding, this latest series is set for release at select retailers in July.

Below you'll find the galleries shot form the our first three tour nights that took place at Earth nightclub in Derry, Gibb Street Warehouse in Birmingham and Ministry of Sound in London. At each event Mitch stylists were on hand to style the hair of any messed up clubber than fancied a new look.

Leica unveil a new compact camera

Leica have unveiled the second model in its X series of compact cameras. Named the X2, the German company's new offering features a newly designed image sensor with 16.2 effective megapixels, and combines it with a high performance Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 ASPH lens.

Combine all that with slick, minimalist design, and the result is one of the best compact cameras you can buy.

The Leica X2 is available in the UK from May, with an RRP of £1,575 inc VAT.
