LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The Michael Jackson memorial service
at the Staples Center on Tuesday will be a star-studded affair, with
singers Mariah Carey, Usher and Stevie Wonder among the participants,
according to an announcement released on behalf of the Jackson family.

Also participating in the event will be basketball stars Kobe Bryant
and Magic Johnson, and singers Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer and Smokey
Robinson, the family said.

The Rev. Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III will be among others
taking part.

Ken Ehrlich, known for producing the Grammy Awards, is producing the
memorial show, his company said. Kenny Ortega, who was to have
co-directed Jackson's series of concerts in London, England, this
summer, will direct it.

Mayer posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon saying "I'm going not to
'perform' but to contribute."

"I'm honored to have been asked to play at MJ's memorial service. I
will be representing all of us who can't be there," Mayer tweeted.
"Going to say goodbye from all us kids."

One notable who won't be attending: longtime Jackson friend Elizabeth
Taylor, who put out a message on Twitter that she "cannot be part of
the public whoopla."

"I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief
with millions of others," Taylor tweeted. "How I feel is between us.
Not a public event."

"I love him too much," she added, "and I cannot guarantee that I would
be coherent to say a word."

Debbie Rowe, Jackson's former wife and the mother of his two oldest
children, will not attend the memorial service, her lawyer Marta Almli
said Monday.

"Although Debbie had originally planned to attend tomorrow's Staples
Center memorial service, we have concluded with Debbie that she will
not be attending," a statement from Almli said. "The onslaught of
media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an
unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on
Michael's legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory
privately."

Fans without tickets to the memorial are being asked to stay away from
downtown Los Angeles and watch the service on television. Details: See

The family decided to provide a free live video feed to networks so it
would be televised everywhere. "Everything about the memorial has to
do with accommodating as many fans as possible," Ken Sunshine, the
Jackson family spokesman, said.

While Jackson's family remains tight-lipped about the singer's burial
arrangements, sources told CNN that relatives will hold a private
gathering at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles Tuesday morning
ahead of the public service. The California Highway Patrol will escort
their motorcade, the sources said.

The gathering is scheduled for 8 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) -- two hours before
the service at the Staples Center arena.

Cemetery officials have not commented on the matter.

While there are five Forest Lawn cemeteries in the Los Angeles area,
media trucks and crews have been parked at the gate of the Hollywood
Hills facility for several days in anticipation of Jackson's possible
interment there.

On Monday, fans chosen by random lottery for Jackson's memorial began
arriving at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to pick up their tickets.

going smoothly.

One person tried to pass off a photocopied voucher; he was ejected, Murphy said.

Each winner gets two tickets, bringing the number awarded in the
lottery to 17,500.

Just 11,000 of those are for seats inside the Staples Center. The
other 6,500 would be for viewing the memorial telecast at the adjacent
Nokia Theater. AEG Live, the promoter of Michael Jackson's London
shows, owns and operates both venues.

Deka Motanya, 27, who works in a doctor's office in San Francisco,
scrambled Sunday night to line up plane tickets so she and her
boyfriend could fly to Los Angeles on Monday.

"Oh, yeah, I'm going," she said. "I'm e-mailing my boss saying I've
got to leave early because I'm going to L.A."

Executors control Jackson's assets

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted control of Jackson's assets
to the executors of his will Monday.

The executors -- John Branca, Jackson's longtime personal attorney,
and John McClain, a music industry executive and longtime friend --
had sought immediate control of the entertainer's assets at a hearing
before Judge Mitchell Beckloff.

The judge appointed the men as special administrators until another
hearing August 3. He said they will be responsible for protecting the
estate from immediate losses.

The men can enter into new ventures only with court approval, Beckloff said.

Jackson died June 25. Since the next day, his mother, Katherine, has
been administering the assets.

Lawyers for Jackson's mother objected to Beckloff's decision, saying
that "irreparable damage" could be done to the estate if Branca is
allowed to take control.

"To award unfettered control to the other side would not serve
justice," said attorney Burt Levitch.

Katherine Jackson's lawyers argued that Branca was removed from
several critical roles by Jackson after the signing of the will. They
argued that the removal from those business roles should also exclude
Branca as executor.

"Quite frankly, Mrs. Jackson has concerns about handing over the keys
to the kingdom," Levitch said.

But Branca's lawyer, Paul Hoffman, said Branca had represented Jackson
off and on since he was 21, that he was his lawyer at the time the
will was written and that he was rehired in mid-June.

Branca represented Jackson from 1980 until 2006 and was hired again
before the singer's death. He helped acquire Jackson's music catalog,
which is worth millions.

McClain is a longtime Jackson friend who has worked with him and his
sister Janet.

The judge ruled that Michael Jackson felt strongly enough about these
executors to name them in his will. He required the two men to acquire
a $1 million bond to insure their work as executors.

The judge said he hopes the two sides can come to an agreement -- a
"free flow of information" -- by August 3.

Hoffman said the two sides met for four hours over the weekend but
were unable to reach "an acceptable accommodation."

In their filing for control of the estate, the men said it would allow
them to tend to Jackson's numerous outstanding debts, legal cases and
business obligations.

At a hearing Wednesday, Beckloff had appointed Katherine Jackson the
temporary administrator.

Worth seeing? If you're a Potter fan, of course. Yates, who directed "Order of the Phoenix," had to compress those liquid memories down for the film. "We've still got some really cool ones. We've got, you know, the wonderful thing is seeing Riddle as a child, which is really scary," Yates told the folks atVeritaserum.com. Grint told Entertainment Weekly that the film is "a lot lighter and funnier" than "Phoenix," which does seem kind of odd considering the fact that there's a huge death in the film.

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop" who once moonwalked above the music world, died Thursday as he prepared for a comeback bid to vanquish nightmare years of sexual scandal and financial calamity. He was 50.

Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

His 1982 album "Thriller" — which included the blockbuster hits "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — is the best-selling album of all time, with an estimated 50 million copies sold worldwide.

At the time of his death, Jackson was rehearsing hard for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13.

As word of his death spread, MTV switched its programming to play videos from Jackson's heyday. Radio stations began playing marathons of his hits. Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital. In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend had sent him. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

The public first knew him as a boy in the late 1960s, when he was the precocious, spinning lead singer of the Jackson 5, the singing group he formed with his four older brothers out of Gary, Ind. Among their No. 1 hits were "I Want You Back," "ABC" and "I'll Be There."

He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his backward-gliding moonwalk, his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched singing, punctuated with squeals and titters. His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks, as was his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who produced "Thriller." "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."

Jackson ranked alongside Elvis Presley and the Beatles as the biggest pop sensations of all time. He united two of music's biggest names when he was briefly married to Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie, and Jackson's death immediately evoked comparisons to that of Presley himself, who died at age 42 in 1977.

As years went by, Jackson became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grown-up life. His skin became lighter, his nose narrower, and he spoke in a breathy, girlish voice. He often wore a germ mask while traveling, kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions, and surrounded himself with children at his Neverland ranch, a storybook playland filled with toys, rides and animals. The tabloids dubbed him "Wacko Jacko."

"It seemed to me that his internal essence was at war with the norms of the world. It's as if he was trying to defy gravity," said Michael Levine, a Hollywood publicist who represented Jackson in the early 1990s. He called Jackson a "disciple of P.T. Barnum" and said the star appeared fragile at the time but was "much more cunning and shrewd about the industry than anyone knew."

Jackson caused a furor in 2002 when he playfully dangled his infant son, Prince Michael II, over a hotel balcony in Berlin while a throng of fans watched from below.

In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him, and of engaging in strange and inappropriate behavior with other children.

The case followed years of rumors about Jackson and young boys. In a TV documentary, he acknowledged sharing his bed with children, a practice he described as sweet and not at all sexual.

Despite the acquittal, the lurid allegations that came out in court took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble.

Michael Joseph Jackson was born Aug. 29, 1958, in Gary. He was 4 years old when he began singing with his brothers — Marlon, Jermaine, Jackie and Tito — in the Jackson 5. After his early success with bubblegum soul, he struck out on his own, generating innovative, explosive, unstoppable music.

The album "Thriller" alone mixed the dark, serpentine bass and drums and synthesizer approach of "Billie Jean," the grinding Eddie Van Halen solo on "Beat It," and the hiccups and falsettos on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."

The peak may have come in 1983, when Motown celebrated its 25th anniversary with an all-star televised concert and Jackson moonwalked off with the show, joining his brothers for a medley of old hits and then leaving them behind with a pointing, crouching, high-kicking, splay-footed, crotch-grabbing run through "Billie Jean."

The audience stood and roared. Jackson raised his fist.

By then he had cemented his place in pop culture. He got the plum Scarecrow role in the 1978 movie musical "The Wiz," a pop-R&B version of "The Wizard of Oz," that starred Diana Ross as Dorothy.

During production of a 1984 Pepsi commercial, Jackson's scalp sustains burns when an explosion sets his hair on fire.

He had strong follow-up albums with 1987's "Bad" and 1991's "Dangerous," but his career began to collapse in 1993 after he was accused of molesting a boy who often stayed at his home. The singer denied any wrongdoing, reached a settlement with the boy's family, reported to be $20 million, and criminal charges were never filed.

Jackson's expressed anger over the allegations on the 1995 album "HIStory," which sold more than 2.4 million copies, but by then, the popularity of Jackson's music was clearly waning, even as public fascination with his increasingly erratic behavior was growing.

Cardiac arrest is an abnormal heart rhythm that stops the heart from pumping blood to the body. It can occur after a heart attack or be caused by other heart problems.

Billboard magazine editorial director Bill Werde said Jackson's star power was unmatched. "The world just lost the biggest pop star in history, no matter how you cut it," Werde said. "He's literally the king of pop."

Jackson's 13 No. 1 one hits on the Billboard charts put him behind only Presley, the Beatles and Mariah Carey, Werde said.

"He was on the eve of potentially redeeming his career a little bit," he said. "People might have started to think of him again in a different light."

Britney Spears To Star In Movie 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton'?

Britney Spears is set to star in a new movie.

The 'Womanizer' singer - who is currently performing her 'Circus' world tour - is in talks to star in 'The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton', which is set during World War II.

The National Ledger website reports: "If she accepts the role, Britney will reportedly play the main role of Sophia LaMont, who creates a time machine and travels back to World War II where she meets a Jewish man called Eton at a concentration camp."

In the film, the couple fall passionately in love and decide to try to return to Sophia's time in order to marry.

The film is set to start shooting when Britney, 27, finishes the second part of her North America tour in September.

No further details about the movie, such as its director, are currently available.

If the movie goes ahead, it will not be the first time Britney has tried her hand at acting.

The mother-of-two enjoyed success with her 2002 movie 'Crossroads' and was in negotiations to star as Daisy Duke in 2005's 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. The role eventually went to Britney's pop rival Jessica Simpson.

Jangan sampai kejadian saya ini menimpa ke nyawa manusia lainnya. Terutama anak-anak, lansia, dan bayi. Bila anda berobat berhati-hatilah dengan kemewahan rumah sakit (RS) dan title international karena semakin mewah RS dan semakin pintar dokter maka semakin sering uji coba pasien, penjualan obat, dan suntikan.

Saya tidak mengatakan semua RS international seperti ini tapi saya mengalami kejadian ini di RS Omni International. Tepatnya tanggal 7 Agustus 2008 jam 20.30 WIB. Saya dengan kondisi panas tinggi dan pusing kepala datang ke RS OMNI Internasional dengan percaya bahwa RS tersebut berstandar International, yang tentunya pasti mempunyai ahli kedokteran dan manajemen yang bagus.

Saya diminta ke UGD dan mulai diperiksa suhu badan saya dan hasilnya 39 derajat. Setelah itu dilakukan pemeriksaan darah dan hasilnya adalah trombosit saya 27.000 dengan kondisi normalnya adalah 200.000. Saya diinformasikan dan ditangani oleh dr I (umum) dan dinyatakan saya wajib rawat inap. dr I melakukan pemeriksaan lab ulang dengan sample darah saya yang sama dan hasilnya dinyatakan masih sama yaitu thrombosit 27.000.

dr I menanyakan dokter specialist mana yang akan saya gunakan. Tapi, saya meminta referensi darinya karena saya sama sekali buta dengan RS ini. Lalu referensi dr I adalah dr H. dr H memeriksa kondisi saya dan saya menanyakan saya sakit apa dan dijelaskan bahwa ini sudah positif demam berdarah.

Mulai malam itu saya diinfus dan diberi suntikan tanpa penjelasan atau izin pasien atau keluarga pasien suntikan tersebut untuk apa. Keesokan pagi, dr H visit saya dan menginformasikan bahwa ada revisi hasil lab semalam. Bukan 27.000 tapi 181.000 (hasil lab bisa dilakukan revisi?). Saya kaget tapi dr H terus memberikan instruksi ke suster perawat supaya diberikan berbagai macam suntikan yang saya tidak tahu dan tanpa izin pasien atau keluarga pasien.

Saya tanya kembali jadi saya sakit apa sebenarnya dan tetap masih sama dengan jawaban semalam bahwa saya kena demam berdarah. Saya sangat khawatir karena di rumah saya memiliki 2 anak yang masih batita. Jadi saya lebih memilih berpikir positif tentang RS dan dokter ini supaya saya cepat sembuh dan saya percaya saya ditangani oleh dokter profesional standard Internatonal.

Mulai Jumat terebut saya diberikan berbagai macam suntikan yang setiap suntik tidak ada keterangan apa pun dari suster perawat, dan setiap saya meminta keterangan tidak mendapatkan jawaban yang memuaskan. Lebih terkesan suster hanya menjalankan perintah dokter dan pasien harus menerimanya. Satu boks lemari pasien penuh dengan infus dan suntikan disertai banyak ampul.

Tangan kiri saya mulai membengkak. Saya minta dihentikan infus dan suntikan dan minta ketemu dengan dr H. Namun, dokter tidak datang sampai saya dipindahkan ke ruangan. Lama kelamaan suhu badan saya makin naik kembali ke 39 derajat dan datang dokter pengganti yang saya juga tidak tahu dokter apa. Setelah dicek dokter tersebut hanya mengatakan akan menunggu dr H saja.

Esoknya dr H datang sore hari dengan hanya menjelaskan ke suster untuk memberikan obat berupa suntikan lagi. Saya tanyakan ke dokter tersebut saya sakit apa sebenarnya dan dijelaskan saya kena virus udara. Saya tanyakan berarti bukan kena demam berdarah. Tapi, dr H tetap menjelaskan bahwa demam berdarah tetap virus udara. Saya dipasangkan kembali infus sebelah kanan dan kembali diberikan suntikan yang sakit sekali.

Malamnya saya diberikan suntikan 2 ampul sekaligus dan saya terserang sesak napas selama 15 menit dan diberikan oxygen. Dokter jaga datang namun hanya berkata menunggu dr H saja.

Jadi malam itu saya masih dalam kondisi infus. Padahal tangan kanan saya pun mengalami pembengkakan seperti tangan kiri saya. Saya minta dengan paksa untuk diberhentikan infusnya dan menolak dilakukan suntikan dan obat-obatan.

Esoknya saya dan keluarga menuntut dr H untuk ketemu dengan kami. Namun, janji selalu diulur-ulur dan baru datang malam hari. Suami dan kakak-kakak saya menuntut penjelasan dr H mengenai sakit saya, suntikan, hasil lab awal yang 27.000 menjadi revisi 181.000 dan serangan sesak napas yang dalam riwayat hidup saya belum pernah terjadi. Kondisi saya makin parah dengan membengkaknya leher kiri dan mata kiri.

dr H tidak memberikan penjelasan dengan memuaskan. Dokter tersebut malah mulai memberikan instruksi ke suster untuk diberikan obat-obatan kembali dan menyuruh tidak digunakan infus kembali. Kami berdebat mengenai kondisi saya dan meminta dr H bertanggung jawab mengenai ini dari hasil lab yang pertama yang seharusnya saya bisa rawat jalan saja. dr H menyalahkan bagian lab dan tidak bisa memberikan keterangan yang memuaskan.

Keesokannya kondisi saya makin parah dengan leher kanan saya juga mulai membengkak dan panas kembali menjadi 39 derajat. Namun, saya tetap tidak mau dirawat di RS ini lagi dan mau pindah ke RS lain. Tapi, saya membutuhkan data medis yang lengkap dan lagi-lagi saya dipermainkan dengan diberikan data medis yang fiktif.

Dalam catatan medis diberikan keterangan bahwa bab (buang air besar) saya lancar padahal itu kesulitan saya semenjak dirawat di RS ini tapi tidak ada follow up-nya sama sekali. Lalu hasil lab yang diberikan adalah hasil thrombosit saya yang 181.000 bukan 27.000.

Saya ngotot untuk diberikan data medis hasil lab 27.000 namun sangat dikagetkan bahwa hasil lab 27.000 tersebut tidak dicetak dan yang tercetak adalah 181.000. Kepala lab saat itu adalah dr M dan setelah saya komplain dan marah-marah dokter tersebut mengatakan bahwa catatan hasil lab 27.000 tersebut ada di Manajemen Omni. Maka saya desak untuk bertemu langsung dengan Manajemen yang memegang hasil lab tersebut.

Saya mengajukan komplain tertulis ke Manajemen Omni dan diterima oleh Og(Customer Service Coordinator) dan saya minta tanda terima. Dalam tanda terima tersebut hanya ditulis saran bukan komplain. Saya benar-benar dipermainkan oleh Manajemen Omni dengan staff Og yang tidak ada service-nya sama sekali ke customer melainkan seperti mencemooh tindakan saya meminta tanda terima pengajuan komplain tertulis.

Dalam kondisi sakit saya dan suami saya ketemu dengan manajemen. Atas nama Og (Customer Service Coordinator) dan dr G (Customer Service Manager) dan diminta memberikan keterangan kembali mengenai kejadian yang terjadi dengan saya.

Saya benar-benar habis kesabaran dan saya hanya meminta surat pernyataan dari lab RS ini mengenai hasil lab awal saya adalah 27.000 bukan 181.000. Makanya saya diwajibkan masuk ke RS ini padahal dengan kondisi thrombosit 181.000 saya masih bisa rawat jalan.

Tanggapan dr G yang katanya adalah penanggung jawab masalah komplain saya ini tidak profesional sama sekali. Tidak menanggapi komplain dengan baik. Dia mengelak bahwa lab telah memberikan hasil lab 27.000 sesuai dr M informasikan ke saya. Saya minta duduk bareng antara lab, Manajemen, dan dr H. Namun, tidak bisa dilakukan dengan alasan akan dirundingkan ke atas (Manajemen) dan berjanji akan memberikan surat tersebut jam 4 sore.

Setelah itu saya ke RS lain dan masuk ke perawatan dalam kondisi saya dimasukkan dalam ruangan isolasi karena virus saya ini menular. Menurut analisa ini adalah sakitnya anak-anak yaitu sakit gondongan namun sudah parah karena sudah membengkak. Kalau kena orang dewasa laki-laki bisa terjadi impoten dan perempuan ke pankreas dan kista.

Saya lemas mendengarnya dan benar-benar marah dengan RS Omni yang telah membohongi saya dengan analisa sakit demam berdarah dan sudah diberikan suntikan macam-macam dengan dosis tinggi sehingga mengalami sesak napas. Saya tanyakan mengenai suntikan tersebut ke RS yang baru ini dan memang saya tidak kuat dengan suntikan dosis tinggi sehingga terjadi sesak napas.

Suami saya datang kembali ke RS Omni menagih surat hasil lab 27.000 tersebut namun malah dihadapkan ke perundingan yang tidak jelas dan meminta diberikan waktu besok pagi datang langsung ke rumah saya. Keesokan paginya saya tunggu kabar orang rumah sampai jam 12 siang belum ada orang yang datang dari Omni memberikan surat tersebut.

Saya telepon dr G sebagai penanggung jawab kompain dan diberikan keterangan bahwa kurirnya baru mau jalan ke rumah saya. Namun, sampai jam 4 sore saya tunggu dan ternyata belum ada juga yang datang ke rumah saya. Kembali saya telepon dr G dan dia mengatakan bahwa sudah dikirim dan ada tanda terima atas nama Rukiah.

Ini benar-benar kebohongan RS yang keterlaluan sekali. Di rumah saya tidak ada nama Rukiah. Saya minta disebutkan alamat jelas saya dan mencari datanya sulit sekali dan membutuhkan waktu yang lama. LOgkanya dalam tanda terima tentunya ada alamat jelas surat tertujunya ke mana kan? Makanya saya sebut Manajemen Omni pembohon besar semua. Hati-hati dengan permainan mereka yang mempermainkan nyawa orang.

Terutama dr G dan Og, tidak ada sopan santun dan etika mengenai pelayanan customer, tidak sesuai dengan standard international yang RS ini cantum.

Saya bilang ke dr G, akan datang ke Omni untuk mengambil surat tersebut dan ketika suami saya datang ke Omni hanya dititipkan ke resepsionis saja dan pas dibaca isi suratnya sungguh membuat sakit hati kami.

Pihak manajemen hanya menyebutkan mohon maaf atas ketidaknyamanan kami dan tidak disebutkan mengenai kesalahan lab awal yang menyebutkan 27.000 dan dilakukan revisi 181.000 dan diberikan suntikan yang mengakibatkan kondisi kesehatan makin memburuk dari sebelum masuk ke RS Omni.

Kenapa saya dan suami saya ngotot dengan surat tersebut? Karena saya ingin tahu bahwa sebenarnya hasil lab 27.000 itu benar ada atau fiktif saja supaya RS Omni mendapatkan pasien rawat inap.

Dan setelah beberapa kali kami ditipu dengan janji maka sebenarnya adalah hasil lab saya 27.000 adalah fiktif dan yang sebenarnya saya tidak perlu rawat inap dan tidak perlu ada suntikan dan sesak napas dan kesehatan saya tidak makin parah karena bisa langsung tertangani dengan baik.

Saya dirugikan secara kesehatan. Mungkin dikarenakan biaya RS ini dengan asuransi makanya RS ini seenaknya mengambil limit asuransi saya semaksimal mungkin. Tapi, RS ini tidak memperdulikan efek dari keserakahan ini.

Sdr Og menyarankan saya bertemu dengan direktur operasional RS Omni (dr B). Namun, saya dan suami saya sudah terlalu lelah mengikuti permainan kebohongan mereka dengan kondisi saya masih sakit dan dirawat di RS lain.

Syukur Alhamdulilah saya mulai membaik namun ada kondisi mata saya yang selaput atasnya robek dan terkena virus sehingga penglihatan saya tidak jelas dan apabila terkena sinar saya tidak tahan dan ini membutuhkan waktu yang cukup untuk menyembuhkan.

Setiap kehidupan manusia pasti ada jalan hidup dan nasibnya masing-masing. Benar. Tapi, apabila nyawa manusia dipermainkan oleh sebuah RS yang dipercaya untuk menyembuhkan malah mempermainkan sungguh mengecewakan.

Semoga Allah memberikan hati nurani ke Manajemen dan dokter RS Omni supaya diingatkan kembali bahwa mereka juga punya keluarga, anak, orang tua yang tentunya suatu saat juga sakit dan membutuhkan medis. Mudah-mudahan tidak terjadi seperti yang saya alami di RS Omni ini.

Saya sangat mengharapkan mudah-mudahan salah satu pembaca adalah karyawan atau dokter atau Manajemen RS Omni. Tolong sampaikan ke dr G, dr H, dr M, dan Og bahwa jangan sampai pekerjaan mulia kalian sia-sia hanya demi perusahaan Anda. Saya informasikan juga dr H praktek di RSCM juga. Saya tidak mengatakan RSCM buruk tapi lebih hati-hati dengan perawatan medis dari dokter ini.

wahh..lagi-lagi facebook kena serangan

Boston. Para peretas (hacker) melancarkan serangan terhadap 200 juta pengguna Facebook dan berhasil mengumpulkan kata sandi (password) dari beberapa diantara jutaan pengguna Facebook selama kampanye terakhir mereka menjarah para anggota situs jejaring sosial populer itu.

Barry Schnitt, Juru Bicara Facebook, mengatakan pihaknya tengah memperbaiki akun Facebook yang diserang peretas, seperti dilansir reuters, kamis (14/05).

Dia menambahkann bahwa Facebook telah memblok akun-akun yang terkena serangan itu tanpa menjelaskan seberapa rinci jumlah akun yang diserang.

Para peretas mendapatkan banyak kata sandi melalui apa yang disebut sebagai serangan phising (pancingan) yang membobol akun sejumlah anggota Facebook dan kemudian mengirimkan pesan email ke teman-teman sang pemilik akun dengan perintah mengklik situs-situs palsu.

Situs-situs palsu ini dirancang seperti halaman Facebook, sementara para korban diatur sedemikian rupa untuk masuk kembali (log) ke situs yang dianggapnya Facebook, padahal sebenarnya mereka sedang memasuki salah satu situs yang dikendalikan para peretas dan tanpa sadar pengguna Facebook telah memberikan kata sandi mereka kepada peretas.

Tujuan serangan peretasan seperti ini umumnya dikelaskan sebagai pencurian dan menyebarkan pesan-pesan sampah (spam).

Domain-domain palsu milik peretas itu diantaranya adalah www.151.im, www.121.im dan www.123.im. Facebook sendiri telah menghapus semua referensi yang berhubungan dengan domain-domain palsu tersebut.

Schnitt mengatakan bahwa tim keamanan jaringan Facebook percaya bahwa para peretas hendak mengumpulkan sebanyak-banyaknya informasi penting dan kemudian menggunakan akun-akun yang diserang itu untuk mengirimkan pesan-pesan palsu berisi tawaran produk farmasi dan produk-produk lain yang kesemuanya palsu kepada para anggota Facebook lainnya.

Facebook telah memerangi serangan serupa dua minggu lalu, kata Schnitt.

Facebook yang dimiliki perseorangan dan jejaring sosial pesaingnya MySpace yang dimiliki News Corp, mewajibkan para pengirim pesan dalam jejaring sosial untuk menjadi anggotanya dan merahasiakan data pengguna dari orang yang tidak memiliki akun. Oleh karena itu, para pengguna Facebook cenderung tidak mencurigai pesan-pesan yang mereka terima.

Para peretas melancarkan serangan phising tahun lalu untuk menyebarkan virus jahat yang dikenal dengan nama Koobface (merujuk pada Facebook). Virus ini terunduh melalui komputer pribadi milik anggota Facebook ketika pengguna mengklik situs yang dikirimkan kepadanya melalui email yang kelihatannya dikirimkan teman mereka sesama anggota Facebook.

Setelah ramai pemberitaan tentang Facebook diserang peretas, kabar terbaru muncul. Sebentar lagi pengguna Facebook akan bisa berkomunikasi dengan sesama teman lewat fasilitas video chat.
Sebuah halaman file JavaScript dari tembolok situs Facebook mengungkapkan beberapa petunjuk tentang fitur terbaru yang sedang dikembangkan oleh situs jejaring sosial tersebut. Dalam halaman tersebut tertulis kode-kode yang merujuk ke layanan video call, seperti waiting for your friend, video call denied, incoming call, dan loading video call.

Banyak orang meninggalkan email dan mulai beralih ke situs jejaring sosial untuk berkomunikasi dengan sesama teman. Setelah Facebook meluncurkan layanan video call nanti, bukan tidak mungkin aplikasi IM pelan-pelan juga akan ditinggalkan.

Dengan semakin lengkapnya metode komunikasi yang ditawarkan Facebook, situs garapan Mark Zuckerberg ini diprediksi akan menjadi saluran komunikasi yang sulit ditandingi oleh penyedia layanan serupa di jagat maya.

Surutnya isu Flu Burung ...eh tiba tiba virus baru lagi yang muncul "Flu Babi"

BELUM hilang dalam ingatan kita bagaimana penyakit flu burung berjangkit di dunia (termasuk di Indonesia) dan menyebabkan sejumlah orang menjadi korban dan jutaan ternak unggas dimusnahkan. Kini, masyarakat dunia kembali dikejutkan dengan berjangkitnya (atau mewabahnya) virus flu babi di Meksiko. Sepertihalnya flu burung, flu babi juga berjangkit dengan cepat sehingga wabah flu babi di Meksiko menjadi ancaman bagi seluruh penduduk dunia.

Apa sebenarnya penyakit flu babi itu? Flu babi adalah penyakit pernapasan yang menjangkiti babi yang disebabkan oleh influenza tipe A. Wabah penyakit ini pada babi rutin terjadi dengan tingkat kasus tinggi namun jarang menjadi fatal. Penyakit ini cenderung mewabah di musim semi dan musim dingin tetapi siklusnya adalah sepanjang tahun. Sebenarnya flu babi tidak menjalar pada manusia, meski kasus sporadis juga terjadi dan biasanya pada orang yang berhubungan dengan babi. Catatan mengenai kasus penularan dari manusia ke manusia juga sangat jarang. Gejala flu babi pada manusia serupa dengan gejala-gejala flu musiman manusia.

Merebaknya virus flu babi di Meksiko harus jadi perhatian dunia. Karena terbukti, flu babi ini telah menjangkiti manusia. Sejauh ini setidaknya ratusan orang telah meninggal akibat wabah ini di Meksiko dan lebih dari seribu orang lainnya terkena penyakit ini. Hal ini membuat Meksiko dalam posisi siaga. Warga kota diperintahkan menggunakan masker wajah. Pejabat berwenang telah memerintahkan penutupan sejumlah tempat umum seperti sekolah, museum, perpustakaan, dan gedung bioskop.

Badan kesehatan dunia (WHO) memperingatkan kasus-kasus di Meksiko (dan Amerika Serikat) berpotensi menyebabkan pandemi global dan menegaskan situasi ini serius. Akan tetapi, WHO juga mengatakan masih terlalu dini untuk menilai situasi ini secara akurat.

Saat ini, WHO mengatakan dunia hampir mendekati situasi pandemi flu dibandingkan tahun-tahun sejak 1968 – tingkat ancamannya adalah tiga dari skala enam. Tidak ada yang tahu dampak pandemi penyakit ini sepenuhnya, namun para pakar memperingatkan korban tewas bisa mencapai jutaan orang di seluruh dunia. Pandemi flu Spanyol, misalnya, yang dimulai tahun 1819 dan juga disebabkan oleh virus H1N1, menewaskan jutaan orang.

Berita baiknya, kasus-kasus di Amerika Serikat sejauh ini memperlihatkan gejala-gejala ringan. Parahnya wabah di Meksiko kemungkinan disebabkan oleh faktor wilayah yang tidak biasa yang kecil kemungkinan terjadi di wilayah lain di dunia.

Akan tetapi, fakta bahwa sebagian besar korban berusia muda menunjukkan satu hal yang tidak baisa. Sebab biasanya flu musiman cenderung melanda kaum berusia tua.

Mengenai pengobatan pada kasus flu babi, bisa menggunakan dua jenis obat yang biasa digunakan untuk mengobati flu, yaitu Tamiflu dan Relenza. Kedua jenis obat ini cukup efektif dalam mengatasi kasus-kasus flu yang terjadi sejauh ini dan tersedia cukup termasuk di Indonesia. Ilmuwan Amerika telah mengembangkan satu vaksin baru, namun diperlukan waktu untuk menyempurnakannya dan juga memproduksi dalam jumlah yang cukup untuk memenuhi permintaan.

Flu babi yang sekarang berjangkit di Meksiko berbeda dengan jenis flu burung yang menyebabkan kematian di Asia Tenggara dalam beberapa tahun ini. Jenis flu babi ini adalah H1N1 jenis baru, sementara flu burung adalah H5N1.

Kemungkinan flu babi mewabah di Indonesia?

Penyakit flu babi yang disebabkan oleh swine influenza virus sejauh ini sudah menewaskan puluhan ratusan nyawa di Meksiko. Dirjen Pengendalian Penyakit dan Penyehatan lingkungan (P2PL) Tjandra Yoga Aditama mengatakan, virus flu babi berpotensi mewabah di negara lain, termasuk Indonesia.

Ada beberapa langkah yang bisa dilakukan untuk mencegah penyakit flu babi, seperti dilansir Badan Pusat Pengendalian dan Pencegahan Penyakit AS atau Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Beberapa langkah tersebut antara lain:

Tutupi hidung dan mulut Anda dengan tisu jika Anda batuk atau bersin. Kemudian buang tisu itu ke kotak sampah.
Sering-seringlah mencuci tangan Anda dengan air bersih dan sabun, terutama setelah Anda batuk atau bersin. Pembersih tangan berbasis alkohol juga efektif digunakan.
Jangan menyentuh mulut, hidung atau mulut Anda dengan tangan.
Hindari kontak atau berdekatan dengan orang yang sakit flu. Sebab influenza umumnya menyebar lewat orang ke orang melalui batuk atau bersin penderita.
Jika Anda sakit flu, CDC menyarankan Anda untuk tidak masuk kerja atau sekolah dan beristirahat di rumah.

Di Meksiko, negara yang paling parah dilanda wabah flu babi ini, pemerintah negeri itu mengeluarkan imbauan bagi warganya untuk tidak berciuman, meski hanya cium pipi. Pemerintah Meksiko juga mengimbau untuk tidak berada di antara kerumunan orang banyak serta tidak berdekatan dengan orang lain yang sakit. Penggunaan masker juga digalakkan di negeri itu. [a]

Telkomsel Hadirkan Broadband Network di Indonesia Timur

Untuk mendukung perkembangan wilayah Indonesia Timur, Telkomsel telah meningkatkan kapasitas jaringannya dengan menambahkan 930 Mega byte per second (Mbps) melalui kerjasama dengan Metra sebagai penyedia link transmisi.

Peningkatan kapasitas jaringan ini merupakan upaya Telkomsel dalam upaya menggelar High Performance Broadband Network untuk koneksi Jawa-Makassar-Ambon-Papua, dengan menggunakan transmisi Satelit IDR (Intermediate Data Rate) mengingat tidak adanya link transmisi Fiber Optic dan Terrestrial.

"Peningkatan kapasitas jaringan merupakan langkah kesiapan Telkomsel sebagai Broadband Network Operator. Sebelumnya kondisi koneksi dari Jawa ke wilayah Indonesia Timur menggunakan transmisi satelit IDR dengan tipe koneksi berbasis E1, mengingat kebutuhan kapasitas yang sangat besar maka kami menggelar tipe koneksi bundling STM-1 (Synchronuse Transfer Mode 1), di mana 1 STM-1 setara dengan 63 E1 atau 155 Mbps. Penerapan link transmisi dalam bentuk bundling STM-1 berbasis IP (Internet Protool) ini merupakan pertama di dunia," ujar Direktur Utama Telkomsel Sarwoto Atmosutarno, melalui keterangan resminya, Kamis (7/5/2009).

Program peningkatan kapasitas ini telah dimulai sejak Juli 2008 dan selesai April 2009, dengan tambahan kapasitas baru 6 (enam) STM-1 setara dengan 378 E1 atau 980 Mbps. Penggelaran link transmisi tersebut terbagi dalam 2 tahap, yakni periode Juli-Nopember 2008 untuk koneksi Ambon dan Papua menuju Makassar sebanyak 3 STM-1 dan Nopember 2008 sampai April 2009 Ambon dan Papua menuju Surabaya sejumlah 3 STM-1.

STM-1 merupakan teknologi canggih modulasi 64QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) berkecepatan tinggi yang mutakhir.

Untuk mendukung kehandalan performansi link transmisi 6 STM-1 tersebut, pada titik HUB di Makassar, Surabaya, dan Timika dipasang antena ground station berdiameter 13 meter. Sedangkan di Ambon dan Jayapura dipasang antena berdiameter 9 sampai 13 meter yang didukung oleh provider satelit seperti TELKOM, METRA, PSN, CSM, dan TELENET.

Dengan adanya penambahan kapasitas baru 6 STM-1 atau 930 Mbps ini, kini Telkomsel telah menghadirkan kapasitas transmisi sekitar 3.000 Mbps guna memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasi suara dan data dari Ambon-Jayapura-Timika ke Manado, Makasar, Surabaya, dan Jakarta.

Dalam pengoperasiannya, setiap STM-1 didukung 2 transporder satelit sehingga 6 STM-1 tersebut menggunakan 12 transponder atau separuh kapasitas sebuah satelit. Telkomsel saat ini telah menggunakan 3 satelit untuk melayani berbagai wilayah Indonesia terutama kawasan Indonesia Timur dan daerah pedalaman serta pebatasan negara.

Penambahan kapasitas tersebut tentunya akan meningkatkan kenyamanan komunikasi pelanggan yang berada di kawasan Indonesia Timur, sekaligus terhubung dengan seluruh jaringan Telkomsel yang dilayani 27.500 BTS menjangkau lebih dari 95 persen wilayah populasi Indonesia, serta didukung teknologi layanan data mulai dari GPRS, EDGE, 3G WCDMA, hingga HSPDA.

Di samping itu untuk melayani lebih dari 73 juta pelanggan di seluruh Indonesia, Telkomsel menyediakan kapasitas handling SMS sebesar 47.100 SMS/detik atau berkemampuan melayani hingga 4 miliar SMS/hari dan kapasitas handling pelanggan atau HLR (Home Location Register) hingga lebih dari 100 juta pelanggan.

Kabar gembira bagi pengguna seluler yang menyukai segala macam hiburan. Kini Sony Ericsson memperluas pelayanan hiburan kepada konsumen berupa konten PlayNow. Konten PlayNow Arena dan PlayNow Plus yang akan memberikan segala kemudahan bagi para pecinta hiburan untuk mendownload film, serial TV, judul-judul game dan ribuan lagu bebas lansung ke ponsel.

Untuk perluasan layanan PlayNow sendiri, Sony Ericsson telah mendirikan kios PlayNow di beberapa negara Asia, termasuk Indonesia. Melalui kios PlayNow, konsumen dapat mencari dan membeli konten hiburan ponsel dengan mudah berkat panel berlayar sentuhnya yang memiliki sistem interface yang sangat intuitif dan mudah digunakan.

Bagaimana caranya? Dengan menggunakan kartu PlayNow yang tersedia di gerai Sony Ericsson tertentu, konsumen hanya perlu menghubungkan ponsel mereka ke kios download, pilih konten hiburan yang diinginkan, dan dalam beberapa menit saja seluruh konten tersebut akan terkirim langsung ke ponsel.

Di hari peluncurannya, kios PlayNow akan menyediakan film-film blockbuster, serial TV, permainan, serta lebih dari 23.000 lagu bebas DRM (Digital Rights Management). Solutions for JavaScript hosting in Blogger

There are lots of things that can’t easily be achieved in Blogger without the usage of special ‘scripts.’ As they are a growing solution for most of the features we’d like our Blogger blogs to have, we deal with a huge setback: ‘where to host them.’ We know Blogger only allows users to upload images and videos, but not other type of files.

As Blogger users, we like two things about it: it’s easy, and it’s free. But hosting isn’t, and the famous ‘free hosting services’ always have their own tricky terms related to the bandwidth consume and/or available space. Many of them are even just for ‘sharing’, and we’re not able to get from them valid, direct URLs to our hosted files.

I’ve listed some of the solutions we can apply until Google decides to give us the option of uploading other types of files.
1. Changing .js for .txt

What we call ’scripts’ are only files with plain text. They have a .js extension, which is not exactly obligatory, and it’s the reason why many hosting services won’t let us upload them.

What we can do, then, is simply changing the .js extension for a .txt extension and upload these files to Fileden, for example; then, using the provided URLs like always.

3. Adding scripts directly to our templates

We must take in consideration that adding long scripts directly to our templates can make it a little messy and confusing; this doesn’t mean that long scripts won’t work.
4. Using Blogger’s “HTML/JavaScript” gadget

Adding this type of scripts to our templates might result impractical. Also, changing its .js extension for a .txt one, because of its volume, would make it consume a lot of bandwidth. Here’s a good solution for that.

In our templates, we create a new Blogger gadget section adding the following code after :

Once this is done, from our Dashboards, in the ‘Elements Page,’ we will see a new section above our template layout. We add a “HTML/JavaScript” gadget from there, with something like this:

We must avoid adding titles to these gadgets; however, if we’re going to add several scripts in different gadgets, we might… after adding this line before :

Also, it seems Blogger interprets all “<” and “>” appearing in the scripts not as expected. To solve this, look for these symbols and add a space before and after each of them. Here’s an example:

Google Pages was kind of the perfect solution for all of this; however, this beta service is soon coming to an end. Google says they will merge both Google Pages and Google Sites so we can create sites in one second; but just imagine a good and trendy site with NO JavaScript at all… I wonder why Google never merged Blogger with Google Pages, as it did with Google Adsense and Google Friends.

I could have listed some of the free services we could use, but considering what has happened with HostFile (dead already), Google Pages (dying), and lately Skydrive (not recommended), we can easily conclude that unless it is isn’t our own host, we will always have limitations.

If you are a user of Blogger noticed that posting an entry appears in the search engines ordered by “Blog Name | Title of the post.” This puts you at a disadvantage compared to other blogs if we talk about positioning.

The robots that indexed pages give much importance to the first words of the titles of entries. But with copying and pasting a few lines of code that can do the reverse Blogger order of title by achieving a better positioning. Let’s go!

The code can display the name of a particular entry without bringing the name of the blog in the first position (an aspect that remains search engine positioning). In this way we can optimize titles in the following way.

* Go to the tab “Design” and subsequently to the “Edit HTML”.
* Find the code for the titles:

Thus the title for the homepage, archives and labels remain unchanged (blog name: element) and the titles of the entries are optimized (name blog entry name).

Why not also optimize the titles of main page, archives and labels? In most cases it is not appropriate because the search engines can confuse the content of a particular entry by a label or archive, parts where the information is not remains static. Blogger even in the robots.txt file has automatically excluded.

This detail does not do magic with the search engines, but if it helps them to better classify the content of your articles, you can supplement it further optimizing the URLs of your posts.
