<description>After a few weeks of searching, Kelly Scott and her team from Kelowna, BC have found their new lead. Scott confirmed on Wednesday that Jacquie Armstrong will fill the void left when Renee Simons was asked to leave the team. Armstrong will play the lead position to kick off the 2009/2010 season in hopes of giving the Scott rink a shot at winning the Canadian Olympic Trials.

<description>Canada finally took home some gold from the world stage. After Jennifer Jones and Kevin Martin were sent home without gold from the womens and mens world championship and Kaitlyn Lawes and Brett Gallant both returned with silver from the world juniors, it was time for Canada to stand atop the podium at a world curling championship. And that moment came true thanks to the effort of Pat Sanders and Eugene Hritzuk, who won gold at the world seniors.
