I work for a web-network of healthcare brands in which I am in-charge of video production for the company. Here is work done in 2009.Title plates are a tribute to my grandfather whose boots I used as a model reference for the intro and outro scenes. In 2007 i heard this track made by a friend, Hendrik Meyer, and felt inspired to create a video with existing footage originally produced to be used in live video performances. The result is more a collage of filmed and animated VJ-footage then a music video. However, the project ended up in the drawer and stayed untouched for years. Normally i dont like to pick up and go on with old ideas. However in this case I still liked the idea and Hendrik asked me nicely to finnish it ... so, here it is!

My thesis topic was on the Aesthetic Experience, and the video I did was an exploration into the mind, the thought process and the sense of discovery. I wanted to poetically show the happenings within the mind as an individual experiences art, and the gratification that comes from the art. The imagery I used was my interpretation of the goings on within an individuals brain and the interaction of preconceived notions and past experiences that one draws on while viewing and interpreting art, what that looks like visually, to illustrate the gratification process and at the same time, hopefully, create a mesmerizing piece that allows for viewers to themselves have an experience.

Come on, take a closer look... Nokia commissioned HUSH to develop an installation for their retail Flagship stores worldwide. Timed with Nokia's launch of the Supernova phone series, we created a physically interactive kiosk that challenges the viewer's notions of voyeurism and provides a unique media experience for customers in the retail environments. Working closely with technical partner Obscura Digital, we creative directed the project from concept to completion. The project combines beautiful portraiture footage, the form factor design of the kiosk's structure and branding, as well as the back-end C++ code that generates particle animations on the Supernova-shaped mirror display screen. Yeah, it's a lot to juggle.
