Blue Bird Nursery Idea

Nursery Design Idea:
This nursery is a beautiful and completely original vintage nursery design focused around a simple blue bird tree decal.
Amanda used fabric swatches and embroidery hoops to create a very effective, but inexpensive feature wall next to the crib. It's an easy DIY project anyone can do to coordinate the nursery wall decor with the crib bedding and pull together the other decor elements in the room.

Nursery Design Idea:
This Babe in the Woods Nursery is an original spin on the very popular tree theme seen in so many baby nurseries at the moment.
Instead of painting her tree, Leanne created it entirely out of brown and green paper offcuts. Then she made the word "baby" using decorative reeds and florists wire and laid it over the tree.
The result is a totally DIY, easy to create but very effective nursery mural! Why don't you give it a try?

This Alice in Wonderland baby nursery is a stunning, modern take on an old favorite. The colors just pop! Best of all it's almost completely DIY and it's gender neutral.
Most of the nursery wall decor in this room has been created by cutting out silhouettes from different colors of sheet neoprene. The silhouettes are then attached to the wall using double sided sticky tape.
A great idea if you are renting and aren't allowed to paint your nursery walls!

Painting clouds on the nursery wall is easy with some thinned down white PVA paint and a few different types of sponges. Experiment with dabbing, twisting and swirling until you achieve the desired effect. Add extra layers to some of the clouds to make them appear closer.

This nursery decorating technique lends itself well to any nursery theme that includes a sky. Some examples include: butterflies, hot air balloons and birds, as well as, any landscape such as a safari scene or a sunny beach nursery mural.
