A. R. Rahman was born on 6th January 1966 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

His father is R. K. Shekhar who was a film music composer and conductor for Tamil and Malayalam films.

A. R. Rahman's nicknames are “the Mozart of Madras” and Isai Puyal.

He is the founder of the Chennai-based rock group, "Nemesis Avenue".

He mastered various music instruments like Keyboard, Piano, Synthesizer, Harmonium and Guitar.

He is a talented composer, singer-songwriter, record producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist and philanthropist.

He has been described as the world's most prominent and prolific film composer by Time.

He has won two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fourteen Filmfare Awards, thirteen Filmfare Awards South in addition to numerous other awards and nominations.

In 1995 he was the recipient of the Mauritius National Award and the Malaysian Award for contributions to music.

He was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for his first West-End production.

Four-time National Film Award winner.

Six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

In 2009, Time placed Rahman in its list of World's Most Influential People and for his score of Slumdog Millionaire, he won the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music, and two Academy Awards for Best Original Music Score and Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards.

Rahman has received honorary doctorates from Middlesex University and Aligarh Muslim University. Later the year Rahman was conferred the honorary doctorate from Anna University in Chennai. He has also won two Grammy Awards, for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album and Best Song Written for a Visual Media.

In 2010 entered Guinness World Records as the original composer of "Maa Tujhe Salaam", from the album Vande Mataram - the song performed in the most number of languages worldwide (265).

In 2010 Rahman was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor.

In 2011 Rahman's work for the film 127 Hours garnered him Golden Globe, BAFTA and two Academy Award nominations for Best Original Music Score and Best Original Song. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Trinity College of Music, presented to him by Trinity College London.

The UK based World Music magazine Songlines named him one of 'Tomorrow's World Music Icons' in August 2011.

The most memorable awards will be the Oscar (not one but two) that he won recently.

A. R. Rahman has his own in-house studio called Panchathan Record Inn at Chennai, arguably one of Asia’s most sophisticated and high-tech studios.
He sold more than 300 million records worldwide of his film scores and soundtracks making him one of the world's all-time top selling recording artists.
He is the highest paid composers of the motion picture industry.
He’s doing many commercials and recently he did one for Honda with the title “Hero Honda” which attracts all the viewers.

Arya’s real name is Jamshad Cethirakath. He was born on 11th December 1980 at Trikaripur, India. Asin Thottumkal was born on 26th October 1985 in Kochi, Kerala. She is a well known Indian film actress, model and a stage performer. Starting her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003 and won a Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for the film. After a number of films, she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her critically acclaimed performance in her second Tamil film Ghajini (2005). She played the lead female roles in blockbusters such as the action comedy Varalaru (2006), the action thriller Pokkiri (2007) and the big budget production Dasavathaaram (2008). In late 2008, Asin made her début in Bollywood with Ghajini, the remake of its Tamil namesake, subsequently winning the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She attended Naval Public School from L.K.G.(Pre.K) till 10th standard (grade). Then she attended St. Theresa's School in Kochi for her Plus Two. Action Replayy is a Hindi science-fiction, romantic-comedy film which was directed and produced by Vipul Shah and starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai in the premier roles. Neha Dhupia, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Randhir Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav played supporting roles in this film. The film was released on 5 November 2010. It was the story about a young son who hates and scared to fall in love due to his parents’ behavior and attitude towards love, family and their understanding. Ram Gopal Varma is the director cum producer for trilingual Indian film Raktha Charitram. The release of this movie starring Surya in the lead role in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi has been postponed from November 26 to 3rd December 2010. ‘The movie has been certified with ‘A’ certificate. 'There are 3 cuts in the film due to violent scenes’, said censor board officials. The total duration of the film is said to last for about 5 hours and the film will be divided into two parts, which will be releasing within two or three months gap. The role of political leader Paritala Ravindra is played by Vivek Oberoi, with Surya enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri, Shatrughan Sinha, playing N. T.
