The first thing to go is going to be my personal blog. Since I started my blog on my photography website, I haven’t blogged as much here, and trying to continually come up with ideas for blog posts, and keep this blog updated has become too time consuming.

I will continue to blog, mostly photography related things over at my  photography blog . At the end of this week, if you visit connormcc.com  or blog.connormcc.com  it will be redirected to CMC Photos.

So after nearly 6 years, and 640 posts this is probably the last one. I may return to blogging here in the future, I don’t know, but it won’t be for the foreseeable future.

I must admit, I was unsure about this film when Lori suggested we go see it. I loved the Muppets when I was younger, but so many remakes and sequels that are being made at the moment and pretty rubbish. It was well worth going to see though. Slapstick comedy, cheesy puns, and a great soundtrack, with songs specially written by Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords, what’s not to love?

Somewhat out of the blue, the lights were off and there were signs in the window saying that Belfast now the nearest store. I haven’t heard any news as to why the shops have closed or what will happen to the staff.

The Ballymena branch is still listed on their website, and there has been no information on the news about the stores closing, but regardless of the reason, it is one more closure in the Tower Centre. It’s a real shame.

I haven’t seen the artist. Not because I’ve been too busy, or have no interest. The reason I havent seen the artist is because out of all the cinemas in Northern Ireland, only one is showing the award winning film!

One cinema, with 2 showings a day, and only in the VIP screen, are showing the critically acclaimed film. QFT did show the film for a couple of weeks, but that was before most people had heard much about the film.

Not only is it very annoying that the majority of people in NI are pretty much being prevented from seeing this film, but surely this is a major business failure on the part of the cinemas by missing out on one of the years biggest film.

This post has been inspired by the fact that I really want to see the artist, and also by this blog post by Brian Henry Martin at UTV ( which you should go and read because it is much better than my post). What Brian is encouraging us to do is to contact our local cinema and demand that they screen the artist.

If any of you do contact your local cinemas and get a response or even better, they start screening the artist then please let me know.

Outfoxed, is a game where your character, a fox voiced by Jackie Fullerton, has to catch as many chickens as possible, while avoiding a host of adversaries, such as a shotgun armed farmer, or his knife wielding wife.

At £1.49 it really is a bargain and is available on the app store now.

Netflix launched in the UK a few weeks ago, and I started my one month free trial with them last week. The selection at the moment isn’t great, but I hope it will improve over time. Even with the mediocre selection I already love Netflix more than LoveFilm. For one, I won’t forget to post DVDs back anymore, but the main attraction is that it gives me unlimited streaming of the library for £5.99 a month, that is much better than LoveFilm.

At the moment I am working my way through Arrested Development, and plan to watch a few films at least before my trial runs out, then I will decide if I’m going to keep it on or not. I haven’t bought Apple TV yet, and probably won’t, mainly because I can stream Netflix to my iPad and also through the Xbox.

Anyone else use Netflix? What do you think of it?

I love this advert that is on TV at the moment. We can be very negative about Northern Ireland a lot of the time, so this is a nice change.
