Numerous media accounts: Major Hasan’s neighbors, medical trainers, colleagues, friends, cousin — even the store owner to where he bought his food — all heap praise on Major Hasan’s temperament. This appears to be psy-ops, six ways to Sunday. –LRP

The alleged shooter received his medical degree from the military’s Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 2001 and is a graduate of Virginia Tech. Early on Thursday, he showed no signs of worry or stress when he stopped at 7-Eleven for his daily breakfast of hash browns, said Jeannie Strickland, the store’s manager. “He came in (Thursday) morning just like normal,” she said, “nothing weird, nothing out of the ordinary.”

Second Gunman In Custody At Army’s Fort Hood -Report 06 Nov 2009 A second gunman is in custody after a shooting at the Army’s Fort Hood in Texas in which at least seven people were killed and 12 wounded, reports KCEN-TV of Waco. The report comes about two hours after a first suspect was captured, shortly after gunfire broke out. Authorities say the gunmen were dressed in fatigues, though it’s not confirmed whether they are military personnel. It’s also not known if the victims were military personnel or civilians.

Surviving Fort Hood shooting suspect arrested at golf course, officer says Updated 2334 GMT 05 Nov 2009 A senior officer who was playing golf Thursday near Fort Hood, Texas, told CNN he witnessed the arrest of one of the two surviving suspects of the shooting at the Army installation. Shortly after the shooting, the officer said, military police told him to clear the course and he saw other MPs surround the building that held the golf carts, he said. The senior officer said he ducked into a nearby house for cover as 30 to 40 cars carrying MPs approached. He said he saw a soldier in battle-dress uniform, his hands in the air. The MPs ordered him to lie on the ground and open his uniform, presumably to ensure he was not carrying explosives, the senior officer said. He said an MP told him that authorities considered the man to be a suspect in the shootings after having overheard the man say he was with the shooter. The man was surrounded for 25 to 30 minutes, until a convoy of vehicles arrived, led by a Ford Crown Victoria and carrying men in suits, and he was taken away, the senior officer said.

But the military and federal investigators pointedly refused to release further details on how the shootings happened, why there were initial reports of multiple attackers and why officials took several hours to correct news media reports that Major Hasan had been killed.

Most significant, officials were not prepared to say whether the attack was the act of a lone and troubled man or connected to terrorist groups, foreign or domestic.

Ms. Hutchison said in remarks at the base that while Major Hasan was the only one who had opened fire, it was still unclear whether he had planned the attack alone. “That is a question still to be asked,” Ms. Hutchison said. “That is not a question that has been resolved.”

Fort Hood shootings: FBI given gunman’s name six months ago

The US Army major who killed 13 people in a shooting spree at America’s biggest military base had come to the attention of the FBI six months earlier over possible links to extremist comments posted on the internet.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a devout Muslim who was trying to buy his way out of the Army, was suspected of being the author of postings which compared suicide bombers to heroic soldiers who throw themselves onto grenades to save others.

It also emerged that Hasan, 39, had described the US Army as “the aggressor” in Iraq and Afghanistan and was resisting a planned deployment to Afghanistan, raising questions over whether the military missed warning signs which might have prevented the massacre.

Witnesses said Hasan shouted “Allahu akbar”, Arabic for God is great, as he opened fire – a phrase commonly used by Islamic militant suicide bombers – though investigators said there was no evidence he had been recruited by al-Qaeda or other Islamic extremist organisations.

Republican congressional recruit: ‘Enemy is infiltrating our military’

One of the Republicans’ most favored congressional candidates — a former commander at Fort Hood, Texas — said Friday that the “enemy” had infiltrated the US military after a Muslim Army psychiatrist allegedly massacred at least 13 at the Texas military base.

According to the Hill, the comments were made by GOP candidate Allen West.

Allen West (R-Fla.), a retired military colonel who served as a commander at the Texas base, said in a release that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s attack may indicate a broader effort by Islamic extremists to recruit downtrodden members of the military.

“This enemy preys on downtrodden soldiers and teaches them extremism will lift them up,” West said in a statement. “Our soldiers are being brainwashed.”

The release added that West claims “the horrible tragedy at Fort Hood is proof the enemy is infiltrating our military.”

The National Republican Congressional Committee in October selected West as one of 32 new members of its “Young Guns” program designed to promote challengers and open-seat candidates in the 2010 midterm elections. West formerly served in Iraq and Afghanistan and was the 2008 Republican nominee to unseat Rep. Ron Klein (D-Fla.) in the state’s 22nd district.

“This enemy preys on downtrodden soldiers and teaches them extremism will lift them up,” West said, in a statement titled “Terrorists Are infiltrating Military”. “Our soldiers are being brainwashed.”

While admitting that more information was needed about Thursday’s tragedy, West nevertheless called for a renewed effort on the part of the military to prevent Islamic extremism from penetrating its ranks.
“The most importantly thing right now is that we objectively assess this situation,” West said. “But it is imperative that we take steps to make sure this does not happen again.”

With the demise of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America and the restructuring of many of its key priorities under the banner of the North American Leaders Summit, other trilateral initiatives are also passing on the mantle of deep continental integration.

The Fifth Annual North American Forum was held in Ottawa on October 4-6, 2009. In a news release the group describes itself as, “a community of Canadian, Mexican and American thought leaders whose purpose is to advance a shared vision of North America, and to contribute to improved relations among the three countries.” It goes on to say that, “They come together annually to explore linkages among the mutually reinforcing goals of security, prosperity and enhanced quality of life.” Meetings are co-chaired by former U.S. Secretary of State, George Schultz, former Premier of Alberta, Peter Lougheed, as well as former Mexican Finance Minister Pedro Aspe. The North American Forum has no business office and no business address. It consists of the three co-chairs, along with their extensive network of contacts in government, business and the military, meeting privately to champion North American integration. The news release also stated that, “This year’s meeting of the North American Forum focused on the need for Canada, Mexico and the United States to work together in responding to the global economic crisis and promoting a quick return to strong and sustainable growth. In addition, the Forum included special sessions on two critical issues: one on energy and the environment, and the other on transnational crime, arms smuggling and drug trafficking.” The North American Forum has been described as a parallel structure to the SPP.

The Standing Commission on North American Prosperity is an initiative of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce and directly relates to the ongoing efforts to further merge North America. The group characterizes itself as “an united effort of distinguished individuals from Mexico, Canada and the USA to provide sound economic and social policy guidance to the political leaders of the three countries for the future prosperity of all peoples of North America.” It notes that, “In the aftermath of NAFTA and the SPP initiatives, a vacuum presently exists in developing a vision for North American prosperity. The lack of such a vision jeopardizes previous achievements in building strong economic ties across North America made during the past 15 years.” It also states that, “The Commission will meet 3 times a year and will provide ‘A North American Prosperity’ White paper to the leaders of the three countries upon conclusion of each session.” The group’s inaugural Summit was held at Georgia’s Kennesaw State University on May 12-13, 2009.

The Future of North America Summit presented by the Standing Commission on North American Prosperity was scheduled to take place on November 2-3 of this year in Toronto, Canada. It was reported that the Summit was cancelled, but there is no indication if it will take place at a later date. The meetings would have included the participation of past political heavyweights such as former Mexican President Vicente Fox, former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, as well as former Chilean President Ricardo Lagos Escobar. The agenda would have dealt with economic, environmental and climate change, energy, trade, transportation, along with other issues and how they relate to North America. In a recent article Manuel Pérez-Rocha, director of the NAFTA Plus and the SPP Advocacy Project, raised some valid questions concerning the meetings. He stated, “Are we going back to the future? Why are these former leaders ‘representing’ countries they don’t run any more? Is their purpose to dictate to our actual presidents what to do to build North America? Why was ex president Lagos from Chile invited at all?” What is clear is that with the SPP no longer the vehicle being used to create a North American Union, other groups and initiatives are further advancing deep continental integration.

The 2009 meeting of the NAFTA Free Trade Commission was held in Dallas, Texas on October 19 of this year and brought together top trade officials from the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The meeting was used as an opportunity to celebrate NAFTA’s achievements and to plot a course for the future. Manuel Pérez-Rocha stated, “What the three governments are really doing is incorporating the already-buried, George W. Bush-led Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) agenda into NAFTA. While current presidents are stripping the SPP label, which has garnered much negative publicity, they’re keeping its principles to armor NAFTA as an instrument for further deregulation.” He also said that, “the merging of the SPP prosperity agenda into NAFTA is evident, especially after the recent Dallas meeting. In their declaration, the trade officials stated that since 2007, the three countries have worked together to protect and enforce intellectual property rights. This was one of the SPP’s plans, together with a ‘framework for regulatory cooperation,’ a ‘North American plan for avian and pandemic influenza,’ and an ‘agreement for cooperation on energy science and technology,’ which are also well under way.” Mexico is scheduled to host the next NAFTA Commission meeting in 2010. Despite the demise of the SPP, many of its key objectives have already been implemented or continue to move forward through other initiatives.

Speaking at the annual policy forum of the Canadian American Business Council held in Montreal on October 21, U.S. ambassador to Canada David Jacobson said that there are no immediate plans to reopen NAFTA. He also echoed Washington’s sentiments that the trade agreement is working well for all sides. This could not be further from the truth as NAFTA is badly flawed. Minus a few cosmetic changes that the Obama administration might make regarding side deals related to labor and the environment, the reality is that NAFTA will remain intact. The NAFTA structure is also being used to advance SPP objectives. All the talk of renegotiating the agreement appears to have revived the 15 year old trade accord and renewed the push for North American integration. This could lead to NAFTA’s expansion into a North American Union and might serve to further spread its failed model to other parts of the Western Hemisphere.

There are some fundamental questions that should be asked of any proposed treatment, including vaccines. Does it do what it claims it will do? What are the benefits? What are the risks? What are the alternatives? How has the proposed treatment been promoted to physicians and the public? Yet, as I have demonstrated in my last article entitled â€œStop the Swine Whine,” these questions have been largely ignored by H1N1 flu commentators, who have substituted propaganda, hysteria, and fear-mongering for legitimate information.

It is under the backdrop of the H1N1 flu hysteria that the FDA has quietly approved another human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine for girls and for the first time, an HPV vaccine for boys. These vaccinations, according to the vaccine makers, will dramatically lower cervical cancer rates in women and genital warts in men. Or will they? As usual, the truth is much more complicated. With the advent of regular Pap smear screening of women in the U.S., the mortality rate from cervical cancer has dramatically decreased. Now, compared to some other cancers like breast and lung cancer, cervical cancer kills a relatively small 4,000 women in the U.S. per year. As a result, the majority of cervical cancer victims come from the third world where regular screening is not the standard of care.

While every death due to cervical cancer is regretful, will the vaccine really decrease these mortality numbers any further? The answer to this question is supremely important because if it is shown that the vaccine has no benefit or is only marginally effective, then the whole framework of HPV vaccination would be in doubt. In order to answer this question we must ask how 4,000 women could die from cervical cancer when they are receiving regular screening. Surely, a cancer that is known to take up to a decade or more to develop from initial pre-cancerous changes would be caught well in advance before it became problematic. So why are women still dying? The answer is intuitively obvious. The 4,000 are comprised of a subpopulation of women defined as underserved that don’t go to the doctor to get screened in the first place, much less get vaccinated. It is frequently these women that show up in the emergency room with inoperable and incurable invasive cervical cancer. Therefore, it is also these women that contribute the vast majority of deaths related to cervical cancer.

So why promote a vaccine to a population of women that are already getting regular screening and will not likely get any mortality benefit? Should not the vaccine makers be promoting their vaccine exclusively to the high-risk population that is not likely to obtain routine screening? Of course, this logical approach would not pay back any research and development investment or put money into the corporate offices of these companies.

Withheld from the public by the mainstream media have been an increasing number of physicians and scientists coming out against the vaccine and its supposed benefits. Recently, for example, “Columbia University professors Sheila M. and David J. Rothman published an article in the Journal of the American Medical Assn. blasting Merck, which produces the Gardasil HPV vaccine “for paying grants to medical organizations that are strong advocates for vaccination. ‘Telling every mom she needs to get her daughters vaccinated to protect them from cancer is creating a market out of thin air,’ David Rothman says. ‘They’re already protected’ through regular Pap smears, he adds.” (1)

Another researcher, Dr. Diane Harper, who participated as the “lead researcher in the development of two human papilloma virus vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, said the controversial drugs will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates and, even though they’re being recommended for girls as young as nine, there have been no efficacy trials in children under the age of 15.” (2)

She has also added that because the rates of cervical cancer are already so low that “even if we get the vaccine and continue Pap screening, we will not lower the rate of cervical cancer in the US.” (2)

The next logical question is that if all cervical cancer can be prevented by the HPV vaccine then why can’t we just stop performing Pap smears in women and just give them the vaccine instead? When I have talked to patients and even some physicians about the HPV vaccine, I have consistently been presented with the misconception that the vaccine is 100 % protective against cervical cancer. The truth is that the vaccine protects against two strains of HPV — HPV 16 & 18, which are thought to be responsible for only 70% of cervical cancer cases. So despite the vaccine, women could be still infected with HPV strains that cause up to 30% of cancer cases. It is because of this that women need to continue regular screening just as they have already been doing. Therefore, the added layer of the vaccine adds nothing more than cost to the existing Pap smear screening regiment.

In addition, there are no long term studies that demonstrate that the vaccine truly prevents cervical cancer itself and not just infection rates. There is also no data that shows that the protective effects of the vaccine will persist into a woman’s 30s, 40s, and 50s when cervical cancer is most predominant. So far, the vaccine has been marketed, approved, and given to young women almost exclusively.

What about the risks?

The vaccine makers claim that the HPV vaccine carries no long-term side effects. However, the “Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) has received more than 15,000 reports of reactions to the vaccine, including more than 3,000 injuries and 48 deaths” after patients received the Gardasil vaccine. (3) While these reactions may not be all attributable to the vaccine, it is clear that reactions, sometimes severe, have occurred after vaccination.

Has this information caused the vaccine makers to withdraw their promotional material and cervical cancer reduction claims? Quite the contrary, their promotion efforts have continued. The Gardasil vaccine, with sales of $1.4 billion in 2008, has not only received generous advertisement promotion but has also been promoted through generous donations to physician organizations such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and Society of Gynecologic Oncologists. It is these organizations that have further disseminated HPV vaccine hysteria to member OB/GYNs and primary care providers.

In addition, “Merck has been lambasted for tactics such as lobbying lawmakers to make vaccination mandatory.” (1) This has included the example of Texas Governor Rick Perry, who under pressure and possible coercion from Merck, infamously announced that the HPV vaccine would become mandatory for all girls in Texas. This announcement, which would supposedly save Texas women from the scourge of cervical cancer, directly threatened the medical rights of women and if enacted would have set a dangerous precedent for future draconian public health measures. It was only when news sources and concerned families discovered the role that Merck had played in Gov. Perry’s decision and began to ask questions about his motivations that he was forced to acquiesce and reverse his previous announcement.

Unfortunately, while in some cases government has relented, in other cases it is become more dictatorial. More recently, this was highlighted when a woman from England attempting to immigrate to the United States was denied citizenship because she refused the HPV vaccination. It appears that where domestic governments have had limited success, the immigration services have not. Somehow the idea of forced vaccinations upon foreigners has been deemed as less newsworthy. Their lives are not as valuable.

In a final straw, Merck has sought and been approved by the FDA to vaccinate boys with Gardasil. This vaccination, which as has been demonstrated can cause serious side effects, will now be given to boys in order to treat relatively innocuous genital warts and extremely rare penile cancer. I am sure that it is no coincidence that according to Bloomberg, â€œapproval in boys could add as much as $200 million to $300 million in annual salesâ€ to Merck. (4)

What has been lost in all the disinformation has been the requirement of sexual intercourse for transmission of the Human papilloma virus. All it would take to put a stop to cervical cancer for good would be for providers to promote and patients to practice monogamy. As usual, this aspect has been downplayed by the vaccine makers.

What Is Money? Part 13: Exported Inflation

If you think people are confused about monetary affairs inside the borders of the nation they live in, you should listen to their explanations of money outside the country, beginning with the idea of “money outside the country.”

If you read the financial press, you will run across this phrase: “exported inflation.” We never hear the terms “imported deflation” or “exported deflation.”

Think about “exported inflation.” Except for Keynesians, most people see general price inflation as a bad thing. How is it that the free market leads to a situation in which something that is bad for the entire world takes place, and the sole beneficiary is the United States? Why isn’t a free market arrangement – international trade – beneficial for all parties?

My suggestion: let us look for something that is not free market or else stop talking about “exported inflation.”

PAPER DOLLARS

If someone hires an illegal immigrant – referred to these days as an “undocumented resident alien” – and pays him in cash, the immigrant may send some of this currency back home. He inserts paper money into an envelope, addresses it, sticks a stamp on it, and mails it to someone living in a foreign country. Paper money leaves the United States.

The person who receives this paper money probably does not report this to the tax collectors in her country. If she deposited it, she would have to report it, so she does not deposit it. She may not even have a bank account. So, she spends it.

Despite the fact that Fort Hood gunman Nidal Malik Hasan was a psychiatrist, the media has failed to even raise the question of whether he was taking psychotropic drugs before he gunned down over a dozen of his colleagues during yesterday’s tragic rampage, a hefty indictment of how the establishment rushes to blame politics, religion, gun rights, or any other factor for mass shootings in order to hide the direct link between such massacres and the use of anti-depressant drugs.

It has been confirmed that Hasan was an Army psychiatrist at Fort Hood. Psychiatrists have a history of “self-medication” because of the easy access they have to psychotropic drugs.

In almost every major mass shooting over the past two decades, since anti-depressant drugs became popular, the killer has been on SSRI’s – serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

The establishment media, allied closely as it is with the pharmaceutical industry, uniformly fails to stress this common factor, preferring instead to blame shootings on gun rights or, as in the case of Hasan, political motives.

However, any fair study of mass shootings cannot justifiably come to any other conclusion but the fact that SSRI’s play a central role in causing assassin’s to go berserk and engage in the kind of carnage that the average person struggles to comprehend.

Immediately after we learned of the Virginia Tech massacre, the largest mass shooting in U.S. history by a single gunman, we predicted that the assassin would be on psychotropic drugs, which is exactly what turned out to be the case.

Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, as well as 15-year-old Kip Kinkel, the Oregon killer who gunned down his parents and classmates, were all on psychotropic drugs.

Robert Hawkins, the 19 year old who killed himself and eight other people with an assault rifle in Omaha, Nebraska in December 2007 had a history of treatment with psychiatric drugs for depression and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and was on prozac.

Jeff Weise, the Red Lake High School killer was on prozac, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczinski, Michael McDermott, John Hinckley, Jr., Byran Uyesugi, Mark David Chapman and Charles Carl Roberts IV, the Amish school killer, were all on SSRI psychotropic drugs.

Northern Illinois University killer Steven Kazmierczak had taken Prozac.

Since these deadly drugs are prevalent in almost all mass shooting incidents, where is the call to ban prozac? Why is the knee-jerk reaction always to attack the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans to self-defense? The fact that yesterday’s shooting occurred on an Army base is the only reason that the establishment media has been unable to blame the carnage on gun rights. Instead, they have exploited Hasan’s religion to stir up more hatred for Muslims in a crude attempt to reinvigorate flagging public support for the war on terror.

Scientific studies proving that prozac encourages suicidal tendencies are voluminous and span back nearly a decade.

In 2005, it was revealed that Eli Lilly had full knowledge of a 1200% increase in suicide risk for takers of their Prozac. This evidence came in the wake of findings published in the British Medical Journal a year previously.

In 2006 a report was published outlining the fact that anti-depressant drug Paxil doubles the risk of violent behavior. Another study published in the Archives of General Psychiatry revealed that teens taking antidepressant drugs are more likely to commit suicide.

It is a well known fact among the makers of these drugs that they are directly linked to behavioral disturbances including agitation, panic attacks and extreme aggression, yet their use is so commonplace that they have now even found their way into our drinking water.

The corporate media, owned as it is by the U.S. military-industrial complex, will continue to gratuitously and shamelessly exploit yesterday’s tragedy by characterizing Hasan’s religious and political beliefs as the main motivation behind the massacre, without even investigating whether or not he was taking psychotropic drugs and what role these played in why he suddenly snapped, a character trait completely at odds with how Hasan’s own family described his personality.
