Chrome is neat, clean, and functional. FF is extremely useful, but can slow down on slower machines if used to its full potential. IE is good for people who are basically PC n00bs and don't know how to use anything else properly. IE is also good for n00bs because it is a very safe and secure browser to use day to day so no one has to worry about identity theft and fraud from improper internet browser usage.

All of this is my opinion of course, but I think I am considerably accurate.

Cool, nice list. A few ones I haven't tried out yet. What is the maximum number of extensions you have installed? I have had so many bad experiences with FF extensions that I now try not to install anything...

Regarding delicious, I still prefer the FF plugin, because the Chrome doesn't allow me to browse by tags, which is my main way of looking through delicious...

Hello from Bulgaria ! Here most of young people use Firefox too. Chrome is not so popular yet. From the reviews and comments about Chrome, i left with good impressions and would probably try it on my PC (but keep the good old FF).

Great post! Totally agree with you, Chrome is fast and efficient.. but don't think I'm quite ready to leave Firefox yet thanks to the big range of plug-ins. I know it's a bit silly but quite like FF's 'personas' as I'm a big fan of customizing and adding your own little touches to browsing :)

IE,,, let's not even go there :)

btw which are your favourite FF plug ins?

Content is important, but nowadays people are going overboard on "filler". I think people need to slow down on their content and take some time to analyze each piece/article they add to their site. When I go to a site and read "content", I can see who is taking pride in their site and who is just writing a bunch of fluff.

I like number 4 and 6. Your post on number 4 is so true. I feel I can be engaged in a conference I couldnt attend by following tweeters that have had a live cam at one.

The post on number 6, I have to agree with because it helps us promote our blogs and connect with others who may be blogging about the same stuff and we can connect with them and also get more info that we may be lacking about the same subject.

Very good post and thanks for sharing.

Hi Zack,

Yes the WP-Supercache is a must-have for blogs! About the Tweetmeme: It is a dilemma: one the one hand it is really encouraging the users to tweet your blog posts ...on the other hand you can clearly see that the tweetmeme external stuff take around 3 secs to load sometimes, which is pretty sad for such a tiny simple button.
Not sure if I will end up bouncing it, too. At least would be worth to test what happens with this site without tweetmeme.

cheers,

Very timely post. Speed is very important now, to the serps as well as the user. There are many things you can do to speed up your page. Wordpress has some plugins that help, such as wp-super cache. Another good plugin to disable is the Tweetmeme. It calls on some external stuff while the page is loading, thus slowing down the page speed. Some argue they want to keep it, and that is fine I guess. I ended up dumping it.
