I think wine does taste better with age. At least, that's the reason I'm giving for having consumed my own weight of it and cheese over the long weekend. And I wasn't even in Napa - gasp! One tricky thing about aging, though, is that the cheese does tend to catch up with a body. My underwear are currently feeling snug - I really don't know how you two eat the way you do. And, seriously, enough with the the lukewarm attitude to my city. Just because Vancouver doesn't try all that hard to be loveable doesn't mean it should be under-appreciated. Clearly, you need another 5-hour hike to reflect on it. Come back! We can do yoga!

you guys are having an adventure with what I used to eat for breakfast as a child. Every Sunday morning certain restaurants, bakeries,or meat markets in the Hispanic Barrios would sell Barbacoa, a misnomer as directly translated it signifies bar-b-que, what it was literally, a baked cows head, cooked overnite at about 225, from there everything was edible and yummy, you could eat everything on a taco with salsa. from the eyes we would discard the pupils and spread it on a tortilla, fat and gristle and salsa, the tongue was so tender, as were the cheeks (lips) as you cooked them, and even the brain. It was food from the parts that nobody wanted (as is Menudo, tripas , and sweetbread) You most assuredly would survive a major catastrophe in this world as you could get by on anything you find dead on the road. You guys are fun to watch, and I look forward to watchin you cook.

Wow! What a great post and the video was fun and informative. You guys are great and while I've never seen cow lips in a market, now I know what I'm looking at if I ever run into them. Not sure I'll buy them, but I'm happy to know they're out there.

Hey guys, please promise me that if you're ever in my neck of the woods that you'll let me meet up for drinks. Or something delicious. Also, I share your views on Vancouver: lovely to visit occasionally, but I'd never live there. Ever.

Happy (belated) Birthday Nicole!

looks really good.
I went to Kells in downtown Portland. They have the best double decker "rueben" I have ever had. I would suggest it, along with there lamb stew. Good stuff and even better vibes come from that place.
I have another suggestion for a place, it is called Pendleton, Oregon. They have a world famous round-up and this year is the 100th year anniversary.
