@Roxanne: Thank you for your question Roxanne! You can use uppercase and lowercase, however I would recommend using all lowercase as a best practice unless your legal department insists on the contrary. Also remember to spend very little time on meta keywords, in the SEO priority list, this task is definitely on the lower end of things.

If you decide to use the meta keyword tag, should you use all lowercase even for product names or acronyms?

@pdfoxy: According to the document referenced in Danny’s post, spaces are ignored. I would recommend following this practice, of using spaces, and keep your keyword list on the small side, to no more than a dozen, but actually I would recommend a list size with even fewer keywords than that for your meta keywords tag, for small to medium sized sites.

@pdfoxy: Hey pdfoxy, content is king to Google because it serves them well, from their search applications to products such as AdSense. However, when looking at it without this proprietary bias, links are what will make your site move up or down in the Search Engine Results Pages. Specifically, what I mean is that a link from a good site will help, while a link from a less trusted website may actually hurt your site’s position in the engines. Hope this helps!

wow a lot of decent articles here! i think out of all the comments Shiner’s was the best as it sort of explained what was going on with tel and a lot of its goals. great stuff! thanks for making all of this available!
