I first met Cassandra at the Brisbane College of Photography and Art around 5 years ago. After having worked as a photographer for several years I decided to brush up on some technical colour theories and studio lighting. Cassandra is also a talented photographer and friend. Cassandras work can be seen at http://www.cazphotography.com.au Besides working for Cassandra and Brad who are awesome I loved the idea of the “First Look”. I will create an updated trailer to include the First Look soon so best to join my facebook site to be updated on that. Essentially the first look is when the Bride and Groom meet privately before the ceremony… and I guess it is a good way to say that the day is about them and for them…. Also when Caz and Brad came into my studio at Albion I discussed the idea of personal vowels with them which I am a big fan of. For some couples complementing the celebrant or priests speech with more than a simple ” i do ” has always made sense to me…… Ian Wilkinson was photographer at the wedding and helped to calm Caz’ nerves in the morning…. Gabriel and I had a great time telling the story of your relationship and life…. Other guest photographers at the wedding were Yohti from Yohti Images, Louise Williams from Emotive Images, Meg Chetwynd from Meg Chetwynd Photography and more…. Acoustic covers were provided by the talented Benjam a band that I remembered from a professional photographers AIPP party that I attended a few years ago. Anne & Shaun came to visit us at our studio and I was very excited about capturing their wedding. Anne and Shaun’s photographer was Ian Wilkinson and we had the opportunity to capture the story of their relationship in our film. HALEY + DAN // destination wedding @ Town of 1770

Our team was really looking forward to the wedding for Haley and Dan at the Town of 1770. We provided photography and cinematography for the wedding of Saffron and Marek the day before at Hamilton Island so it was a tight schedule for us to get to 1770. However we were not disappointed as Haley and Dan pulled all the stops with a relaxed beach themed wedding that turned out to be a party like no other. We were especially impressed by how loud the groomsmen had ACDC songs blasting as we all drove to the lookout at 1770 taking over what seems like normally a quiet kind of town…. best regards, Normy B

Saffron called our team from Canberra and asked us to photograph her wedding on Hamilton Island. Our team photographs and films a number of weddings each year at the Whitsunday Islands. We have also captured wedding photography and cinematography at Daydream Island, Airlie Beach , and Lindeman Island over the last years. Our storytelling approach to wedding cinematography is especially fitting for destination weddings as we are able to capture the guests and surroundings in a cinematic way. Saffron and Marek’s wedding was just beautiful and intimate and very special to be a part of. Ramsay and Priscilla asked our team to capture the story of the relationship with cinematography for their wedding day held at the Ladies of Victories Church and the Victoria Park Gold Course and Function Centre. The photographer on the day was our friend Stephen from Grapeshot Studios.
