To give room for other Plug-ins and modules I have made a lot of changes this time. I have renamed all tables to singular from plural and changed all file names and variables accordingly. I have now combined common files for frontend and backend. This time I have given some time for Search engine optimization (SEO) as well, so all pages, blogs and links are SEO friendly and I'll continue to optimize as I'll discover the SEO secrets and tricks in the future versions. I would love to hear some feedback from SEO specialists out there. As I am not selling this cms software - Based on Codeigniter and providing 100% free, I won't be able to pay you guys, who send me tons of proposals everyday. If you are happy to provide feedback for free, that will be most welcome.

This week has been amazing week as I got chance to get the training on Zend Framework and hopefully will get chance to learn more next week in advance classes. Thanks to Mike Larcher, Managing Director of Acidgreen Pty Ltd (A Web Development Company) for paying my training fees. I Still love CodeIgniter - Open source PHP web application framework though.

Thanks for all the feedbacks you guys sent me through twitter, email and forum. All the feedbacks re-generates the power inside me to take the codefight cms to the next level. When you know that someone is using your software and when you see it in action that gives a real happiness and encourages to make it better and more powerful.

After watching Masterchef Australia grand finale and see Adam Liaw win the title, refreshed my mind again and sat to write this blog post long time after my last post. So, I must congratulate him (Adam Liaw) for the great title and lot of cash prizes. I was also inspired by the Callum Hann's deserts. Being so young and beating every other contestant was great to watch. As its over now hopefully Masterchef Australia Junior will be as exciting as this was.

Before I wrap up my post I would like to request all the users of the software to help me by providing feedbacks, ideas, libraries, plugins etc.

I need to wake up early in the morning and its already 11PM so I would like to say good night to everyone out there and have a sweet dream.

Codefight CMS Version 1.4.2.6 based on Codeigniter 2.0

This new version took a while to release. I would like to thank first to chaleswa, eowynx and shershen for great feedbacks.

In this version I have added submitted form viewer. So, now when any form like contact us page is submitted, you can view the details through admin and it will be emailed to your assigned email as well.

Adding google analytics is now easy. Just look for "Web Property ID" in your google analytics account and copy and paste in the admin. The ID looks like "UA-852764-1". To paste the ID, navigate to 'Settings/website/Google Analytics Web Property ID'.

Note: CI 2.0 is not released yet and i used the one from Bitbucket.

Make the image on any website to dance for you. Just browse to the web page containing image(s) or search any images on your favorite browser and replace the url on the browser with this javascript code:

You can perform general calculation directly from the search box. Like 15/3*2-1 etc. or 10 stones in kilos, 100 dollars in pound, 98 f to c, 420 in roman numerals,

You can search for meaning of any words directly from the search box as well. For example search for definition of fact as define:facts For this one google seems to be ahead of other browsers for better result.

Do you want to know the world time quick and easy. Just type time: and place you want to know the time of. Like this: time:nepal This will return the current time of Nepal. This is currently supported by google only.

Do you want to download MP3, Software, Movies etc lying around on the web hiding from us but not from search engines then do this to find what you want, may be you will be lucky to find it. intitle:"index.of" mp3 this will get you the list of MP3s direct links. Like that for movies you will type intitle:"index.of" Name of movie. You can use intitle: to search any web pages containing search term on the page title.

Similar to intitle: you can use inurl: to search words that appear on the url. inurl:cms will return search result that contain cms on the url itself. You can use this to find live webcams out there too. just try this: inurl:view/view.shtml

And, to search within body of websites intext:codefight.

Do you want to search for specific file types? For example you want to search for some free tutorials in pdf format. Then you can do so by using filetype:. e.g. make money filetype:pdf. This will search for pdf only. Also you can exclude filetype from the search by adding minus before filetype like: make money -filetype:pdf. This will search web for "make money" excluding pdf files.

You can find how many websites are pointing to your website by link:codefight.org.

To find related website as yours search as: related:codeigniter.com.

To find information about a website info:codeigniter.com.

To search within specified website only site:codefight.org. Also, site:.org will search org domains only.

To search movie reviews, trailors and showtimes do this movie: robin hood or film: robin hood, movie: showtimes.

To find quickly the director of any movie try this director: The Dark Knight. similarly casts as cast: moonlight

Similarly there are more options you can use such as music: band name, song etc, weather Kathmandu, population of Nepal, allinurl:cms, allintitle:cms tutorial, allintext:best cms, allinlinks:?codeigniter cms,

Also, don't forget to search "answer to life, the universe and everything".

After weeks of testing with new version of codeigniter which is yet to be released, finally Codefight CMS version 1.4.1 is out now for you to use it for free. Note: CI 2.0 is not released yet and i used the one from Bitbucket. Matchbox didn't work properly with this version so i completely removed it. So, there is no modular separation now. I have decided not to use any modular separation until official update.

I mistakenly canceled one order and spent a day to go through magento & different forums and blogs and searching for a solution and this is how i fixed myself after few tries. I am still not sure how to extend the controller so i modified the core file and made a copy so i can paste back if overwritten when upgrade or i can copy when i find the solution how to extend or override a magento controllers.

There is no easy method like adding product attribute for category yet. But we can achieve this by adding from database. You just need to deal with three tables in the database.

First one is: eav_attribute

This weekend i spent really lot of time fixing and upgrading codefight cms (backend). And, i am so happy with the outcome. Still a lot of feature addition is remaining. I have finished changing the skin of the backend and updated code for better management.

Dark green is replaced with blue, grey and other colors. Moved left menu to top. Fixed some other CSS.

Codeigniter version 2.0 is in the oven for baking now, so i'll be adding more features and test compatibility with that version soon. I hope you like this new version. Please post some feedback, feature requests, bugs on tenthweb forum.
