New version of codefight cms has been released and is now available for you to download at github repository.
Latest version is tagged as 2.6.1.0 `TinyMCE VideoJS`. From the name you must have understood, that we have upgraded tinymce probably first time since first used in this open source codeigniter based php content management system. Also, we have now added support for videojs youtube video embed in static and blog pages.

Codefight CMS - version 2.2.1.0 'Lighter'

As title says new version of codefight cms is now released with version number 2.2.1.0 with code name 'Lighter'. In this version I have organized all the libraries and models in sub-folders and wrote helper functions to load them easily when required.
Folder structure looks like this:

New version of Codefight CMS has just gone live. It's numbered as 2.2.0.2 and named as 'Codeigniter CMS'. Finally, I decided to dedicate name to Codeigniter :)
This version includes bug fix for group permission. Also, now it's possible to give/deny permission to any page's function for certain group without listing it as a menu. It will still appear on permission list, so you give permission to perform the action, but it won't serve as a top menu on admin.
Also, I have slightly modified the helper of language file. default_lang.php file will always load. So, you can set global translation there. But if you want to load certain file for certain controllers then, on your controller just set the language file as:

After spending my first few days of my holiday, I am happy to release new version of the Codefight CMS named as 'Mount Everest' and Version Number is 2.1.0.0.
So, Now onwards I am gonna give name to every version of Codefight CMS :)
This version has Group Permission. So you can have different groups and give access to admin to certain sections only.

This is my first post after long time, actually never posted after version 1.7.2.This post is just to let you know that new version has been uploaded and it is now ready to download.There has been few enhancements on the system. I also completely removed previous XML based module installation with php array.Also, now you can translate the system into your language. Just copy the english folder and translate to your own.Any text inside function __('') will be translated if it's available.more to follow later.- happy codefighting...

Codefight CMS - A light weight Codeigniter php framework cms.

Codefight CMS is based on CodeIgniter Framework - Open source PHP web application framework, which is very easy to learn.
The latest version will have a multiple website manager. The new version is almost ready and is in staging for testing purpose before its official release.
If you would like to get informed about the latest releases and news please do subscribe to our feed.
Since Codefight CMS is available for use free of charge, I would appreciate and welcome any feedback, contributions to the code and help translating language files into your language. This is now available on Github.

Codefight CMS version 1.7.0 is out now. Hope you like it. :)

This version consists of a folder and a file manager, and the file manager comes with access security. You can assign the access permission to public, group or just a selected user.
Access permission can be given to a whole folder or just a file. I am trying to make it one of the best open source file managers based on PHP -- this means you can download for free and modify as to your requirements.
I have tried my best to keep it bug-free, however, this is not guaranteed. So, if you find any bug or issue, please let me know. I will update and include the fix in the next release.
There were other small bug fixes and updates included in the current version of the Codefight CMS.

To make room for other plug-ins and modules, I have made a lot of changes this time. I have renamed all tables to singular from plural and changed all file names and variables accordingly. I have now combined common files for frontend and backend. This, time I have given some time for search engine optimization (SEO) as well, so all pages, blogs and links are SEO friendly. I will also continue to optimize as I discover the SEO secrets and tricks in the future versions. I would love to hear some feedback from SEO specialists out there. Since I am not selling this CMS software (I am providing this software based on Codeigniter at 100% free), I won't be able to pay you guys. I really appreciate everyone who sends me tons of proposals everyday, so if you are happy to provide feedback for free, that will be most welcome.
This week has been amazing week -- I got a chance to receive training on Zend Framework, and hopefully I will get chance to learn more next week in advanced classes. Thanks to Mike Larcher, Managing Director of Acidgreen Pty Ltd (A Web Development Company) for paying my training fees. I still love the CodeIgniter - Open source PHP web application framework, though.
Thanks for all the feedback you guys sent me through twitter, email and forum. All the feedback re-generates the power inside me to take Codefight CMS to the next level. Knowing that you guys are using my software and seeing it in action makes me happy and encourages me to make it better and more powerful.
After watching the Masterchef Australia grand finale -- and seeing Adam Liaw win the title -- refreshed my mind and inspired me to write this blog post (a long time after my last post). So, I must congratulate Adam Liaw for the great title and lots of cash prizes. I was also inspired by the Callum Hann's deserts. Watching such a young chef beat every other contestant was great. As its over now, hopefully Masterchef Australia Junior will be as exciting as this was.
Before I wrap up my post, I would like to request that all the users of the software help me by providing feedbacks, ideas, libraries, plugins etc.
I need to wake up early in the morning and its already 11PM, so I would like to say good night to everyone out there and have sweet dreams.

Codefight CMS Version 1.4.2.6 based on Codeigniter 2.0
This new version took a while to release. I would like to thank first to chaleswa, eowynx and shershen for great feedbacks.
In this version I have added submitted form viewer. So, now when any form like contact us page is submitted, you can view the details through admin and it will be emailed to your assigned email as well.
Adding google analytics is now easy. Just look for "Web Property ID" in your google analytics account and copy and paste in the admin. The ID looks like "UA-852764-1". To paste the ID, navigate to 'Settings/website/Google Analytics Web Property ID'.
Note: CI 2.0 is not released yet and i used the one from Bitbucket.

After weeks of testing with new version of codeigniter which is yet to be released, finally Codefight CMS version 1.4.1 is out now for you to use it for free. Note: CI 2.0 is not released yet and i used the one from Bitbucket. Matchbox didn't work properly with this version so i completely removed it. So, there is no modular separation now. I have decided not to use any modular separation until official update.
If you find any bug, need any kind of help with the use of the software or even request new features then you can do so through our forum at tenthweb.com.
I would like to thank a lot to chaleswa, who provided a great feedback and bug report.

This weekend i spent really lot of time fixing and upgrading codefight cms (backend). And, i am so happy with the outcome. Still a lot of feature addition is remaining. I have finished changing the skin of the backend and updated code for better management.
Dark green is replaced with blue, grey and other colors. Moved left menu to top. Fixed some other CSS.
Codeigniter version 2.0 is in the oven for baking now, so i'll be adding more features and test compatibility with that version soon. I hope you like this new version. Please post some feedback, feature requests, bugs on tenthweb forum.

As usual new release contains few bug fixes. Also, it now supports PHP 5.3. Plus, its now compatible with Codeigniter Version 1.7.2.
I am working on banner manager and have attached the draft copy which now supports inserting html or other scripts. There are other fields as well but they are not connected yet. You can insert banners to the blog post easily by adding {{ banner id}}. No space before banner, I had to put space here in post, otherwise it will parse the tag and insert the banner here or if not found, it will just remove the tag.
Now templating is much more easier. I haven't used any template parser to make it easy for every PHP programmer. With just few lines of code in the template and new CSS file will give you the site you want in very short time.

Multilevel menu library for codefight cms

Codefight cms is built with the help of codeigniter cms. Last weekend i wrote a multi-level menu library. You can use it for codefight cms or wherever you want.
This may not be perfect but it works. If you have a better idea i would like to know. This is how it looks like.

Added MY_Controller to extend codeigniter's Controller.
Why?
To define commonly and frequently used options in just one controller, so we don't have to call those stuff every time in every controller. And making easy to access setting keys and values. Now setting values can be accessed as:
settings['pagination_per_page']; ?>

Today got some time, so worked on admin settings and released this version. If you get any bugs please notify me via tenthweb forum. With this release admin is now more powerful. You can set default template for first page load for the visitors through admin settings. You can create setting keys and use where need. E.g. meta_title, this you can use as default meta title.
You can create unlimited setting keys as you need and you even don't need to create fields for newly created keys to set them. You can choose 'textarea, textbox, radio and drop down select' for those keys and those keys will appear on site management under settings for you.

Another version of Codefight cms has been uploaded to google code on 01st may, 2009. For more information about the system and download and installing instruction, please visit preview and download section.
This release has option to compact the html source code so that unnecessary spaces are removed which helps to load the page faster. Also there is a option to combine css files into one.

Codefight cms, file structure and how to use it?
When i first started to code for codefight cms, i had no idea that it will reach to this position one day. Not only it helped me to learn codeigniter more in depth but it also helped me to write something now and then. And, to my surprise, kevin rudd's stimulus package was the winner todate[23rd apr, 2009] to get the traffic to my site.
If you want to edit something or extend it, you need to be familiar with codeigniter php framework. But if you want to use it as it is with few configuration,then you can setup in few minutes and start using it.

Codefight files are found in different folders. As of version 1.0.0 there are 4 root folders and few sub-folders.
app: This contains 2 folders admin and frontend. Application code files can be found in these folders. Files related to admin are found in admin folder and those related to frontend can be found in frontend folder.
app ? admin: Here are also quite few folders. Mainly you will be touching is config, modules and views.

Codefight CMS version 1.0.0 released.

Today on 19th of April, 2009 codefight CMS is released as version 1.0.0. This has half size of previous pre-release code, as the files were cleaned up. Still there are few unnecessary files which are taking spaces but they won't interfere with the coding and probably will clean up on next releases.
With this release i have separated and grouped main application and skin folders.
I hope this will be useful for someone and will give me feedback. Any feedback is welcomed. All feedbacks, suggestions are welcomed.
If someone will like to contribute code, themes and if i use that i will fully credit those and will add to supporters list along with those who donated through paypal.
