I’ve never done crazy patchwork before, so when a friend said she was going to make a crazy patchwork lampshade recently I decided to join her. It sounded mad enough and a bit whimsical. And it was loads of fun, not just the making part, but making something with a close friend. We just sat on the sofa laughing, poring over fabrics and stitching – by hand. Sorefoot Running

Achilles Tendonitis. It’s painful and it means I can’t run. Well, it means I shouldn’t run. And since the big race about 6 weeks ago, I’ve probably done less than 20 miles. Until Sunday that is. My little one!

I brought this little bundle home 14 years ago. 14 years and 4 days. He’s grown a bit since then; in fact he’s the same height as me now (5’5.25″) – and weighs about 10 stone more!
