Der Telfer Alpinist Bernhard Hangl (senior) ließ sich auf ein "Spiel mit dem Feuer" ein: Seit Beginn der Zeitrechnung des extremen Eiskletterns erreichte die Megasäule auf Höhe des Weilers Weixmannstall im hinteren Pitztal in diesem Jahr erstmals den Boden.
