Many thanks for your comment.

I totally agree that this is going to be a very interesting period with a lot of work. I consider myself lucky to be around the start of my career and to possibly be able to do it in cleantech and sustainability.

Literally everything has to be reinvented... Yes, we are going to be busy in the next four decades if we are serious at decarbonizing France and the entire world.

This is nothing new. When I was an undergrad at Penn State in the early seventies they had a digested demonstration facility that got little traction from the farming community. Some farmers did utilize this technology deriving all but free electricity and, not insignificantly, a much better liquid fertilizer to broadcast on their fields. Hopefully this time around things will go differently and digesters will become common.

Already HAVE them for my Computers, Cellphone, power tools, and many panel sets for our 100% solar powered Home, WHAT'S a "Power Bill"? We haven't gotten one since 1993. Going total solar is the way to go.

I would like to recommend three new nonfiction books that do a good job of convincing skeptics that we need to cut back now and begin the conversion needed to avoid collapse, but your spam blocking won't allow the listing. See authors Brian Czech, Dietz and O'Neill, and Richard Heinberg.

Sorry - typo in that last comment.

Simple and ingenious! Our water is not sufficiently protected. This is the type of research we need more of to improve the management, protection, and health of water resources.

Interesting article! Thanks a lot! I do believe that a energy transition and sustainable development within the next decades is highly important for France. We're currently seeing the trend ob urbanization, so sustainable development is a important part of a energy transition. Siemens, for instance, have announced that they are seeing a great potential in South African cities: http://www.siemens.co.za/sustainable-development/ There are a variety of things that need to be tackled, such as a more sustainable infrastructure, a more sustainable energy supply, more sustainable building technologies,…
It’s going to be very tough but highly interesting years!

If you do not have experience in energy engineering you can still take and pass teh exam and get a EMIT (engineerng manager in traing)certification. You then have 3 or 4 years to get the experience and qualify for CEM desigination. Good Luck

Yes! You are spot on about energy audits. They will provide homeowners more information about their home and how they can improve and reduce their energy usage.

It's an investment into your home, definitely worth the time and money to decrease a home's footprint on our environment.
