SP: Wednesday Nesting - Dyson Blueprint Review

Admittedly, one of the coolest things about being a blogger is some of the swag that sometimes arrives on my doorstep. A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to test out a limited edition Dyson Blueprint vacuum and I seriously jumped at the chance. J&I did the few simple assembly steps a few weekends ago and I have been happily using it since. I italicized and underlined happily because I am not one to typically like household chores. Seriously, dishes have a tendency to stack up in our house and unless I know a visitor is heading over, dusting and sweeping usually get put on the back burner, too.

But the Blueprint has actually made vacuuming less of a chore ... Let me explain because I wouldn't have believed that statement a few weeks ago, either. ;o) First, it's incredibly light, making it super easy to move ... it swivels to get into tight spaces ... and my favorite part is that it doesn't use vacuum bags - all the dirt is sucked up into a clear canister that you just empty into the garbage - good for the environment and for my wallet! Being a girl who values aesthetics, I'm also smitten with the clean lines and colors of the Blueprint. And the fact that it's mostly all-white, I think it would be a perfect and practical choice to include on a bridal registry! Happy vacuuming! :o)

I always think it's sweet when brides and grooms exchange a love letter on their wedding day. J&I handwrote ours but if you're not happy with your handwriting, typing a letter on a vintage typewriter could be extremely charming, too!

Wednesday Nesting

As I'm getting more and more into decorating + designing our newlywed nest, I thought it would be fun to integrate that passion into my blog and share fun finds, DIY projects, house inspiration and lots more with you every Wednesday. Most posts will be tied to weddings in some way but I thought it might be a welcome change to expand CB and sometimes chat about the joys of feathering our married {or soon-to-be married} nests. :o)

For the first installment, I thought I'd start out with a little house inspiration fit for the fall season. It's the hauntingly beautiful Victorian home from the movie Practical Magic.

I loved all the nooks and crannies and history that went along with the enchanting house and I was more than a little sad to find out that the house doesn't actually exist - it was built for the movie and promptly torn down after production ended. Luckily, I can visit it whenever I like by just popping the dvd in ... but wouldn't it have made the most phenomenal backdrop for a ceremony?! What's your favorite movie house?
