(pictures and video below!)What a day/week/year!Today we took S. to Childrens Hospital Boston for a check up on her heel. I am happy to report that although she will continue with this condition (Sever's Disease) for a couple years, she now has no restrictions on her! She is allowed to do all her gymnastics and only limit herself if it hurts, but she won't make it worse and she needs to make

Ahh...yes.Another couple weeks have come and gone. I ask myself, "What have we accomplished?" and the truth is, not a lot.In the last couple weeks I have been feeling ill on and off, however it's been better the last 2 weeks. I will suddenly get so tired that I can't even direct S. without sleeping for an hour. I wonder how I can do it when the twins come!S. also fractured her wrist last week

I just found a nice twin site that not only has good information, but is doing a giveaway for cute twin onesies! "Win Adorable Onesies for Your Twin Babies!"(pick me! pick me!)Shouldn't they be called twosies? Just like "infant" is now "twinfant?"

Ahhh...The first week of school. September is here and promises of apples, pumpkins and leaves hang in the air.Oh and tears. Big crocodile tears. School must begin again and where there is school, there is sure to be math.S. began the week by working herself up into hysteria regarding her math. "I HATE WORD PROBLEMS!" she exclaims. I spent a whole evening reassuring her that this year would

New year, new opportunities for learning. Somewhere around January I will be delivering twins, a boy and a girl, and I'm sure that our school days will be very different from what they are now. Life will change and we will learn all kinds of different things! All part of the joys of learning at home. Life is learning and we will embrace every part of what God has given us!We loosely follow a

Greetings from the great state of Maine!Spring decided to show it's face this week and we enjoyed a couple days of warmer weather. Windy, but finally into the 50's. Yes, that's warmer weather here.S. had spent last week as a sickie on the couch. This week wasn't too different. She was okay Monday and Tuesday, then the fever came back Wednesday and Thursday.Monday S. was really not operating

I love it when I become so wrapped up in my Bible that I forget to drink my coffee. It lets me know that I love His Word. And I want to learn more. And that I should love my coffee less.John 15:6 says, "If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned."Then I caught sight of one of my many tomato

When your heart and mind are filled with "sludge" it clogs up the "River of Life" so that God can not flow out of you. Then your basement floods.I said in my Weekly Report that the basement had flooded. Now we know why, physically and metaphorically. We have a drain pipe that runs all the water away from the house so we were puzzled as to why the basement flooded. Yesterday, when Jon went to

Well, this week has been a complete bust.First, the bright side -- I got signed up on facebook! That has been fun and interesting.(Do I WANT to talk to some people? I never thought I'd see HIS face again)I talked to people that I never thought I'd see/talk with again! I loaded old pictures and remembered old times. I had to remind myself to get up from the computer and live in the now!I

What a week! I am emotionally tapped, physically worn out and mentally dead.My brain didn't work well this week and we just couldn't finish everything I had planned. We did chapter 23 in The Explorers Bible, which means that we are on schedule there. Half of it we did orally. I just didn't have the patience for writing.Spelling got a little behind--we just skipped a test. No biggie...I'll quiz

Sorry about the words at the top. I'm trying out a new video program. She earned 4th all around out of 25 gymnasts in her age group, so we are very proud! Her goal is always to beat her best scores. She tied them on vault and floor, but not quite on beam and bars.Enjoy!

From the Tower of Terror to bananas in a box, this has been a pretty good week.If the beginning of the week had carried over, we would have been toast. Some time ago, we had decided to start school an hour later (9am) so that dd could get a little more sleep. This seemed to work for a few weeks but then I began to notice that there were a lot of little things that were not getting done, even

I'm not so sure I can even remember what S. accomplished.Where is my coffee???Bible: Explorer's Study Bible chapter 19. The Israelites are COMPLAINING about their food. Funny, so are my kids. Do I sense a heart issue here? The fact that God sent quail and struck it with plague while it was in their mouths produced quite a reaction from S.Math U See: Lesson 19 also.
