<p>Your mind begins to drift and you find other things to occupy your time. The following is a helpful list that will ensure that your report will be delayed and that you&#8217;ll blow everything you&#8217;ve worked for. Remember, if you do all the things on this list, you&#8217;ll NEVER suffer from executive stress (you&#8217;ll never be an executive).</p>
<p>1. Start running Norton Anti Virus (or similar). Sit there and watch it work through all your files. At the same time, you could use your Maintenance Wizard and defragment your disk. It&#8217;s probably been a long time since you&#8217;ve done it so it&#8217;ll waste a good chunk of time.</p>
<p>2. Check all your old emails. Reply to a few that you&#8217;ve neglected. Check your message rules and create a few new ones. Check out some of the items on the menus that you&#8217;ve not read before.</p>
<p>3. Make coffee. Make lots of it. Invite friends over. Run out of coffee. Have to go to the supermarket. Meet some more friends. Be invited out for lunch. Drink too much and come back home in the small hours of the morning.</p>
<p>4. Look out of the window. Notice things that you&#8217;ve never seen before. Count the number of leaves there are on the tree opposite.</p>
<p>5. Get online and surf. Find a good chat room. Talk to as many people about today&#8217;s game as you can. Post a few messages on a message board. Find out what&#8217;s going on in Boulder. Check the CNN page. Develop an interest in World Politics.</p>
<p>6. Find that CD Tutorial you bought a few years back. &#8216;How to Speak Spanish&#8217;. See if you can get further than ordering a beer in a bar.</p>
<p>7. Go and look at yourself in a mirror. Worry about getting old/going grey/losing your hair/putting on weight/developing spots/whether you need a tuck here and there. The best thing to do is to go and stand in front of a full-length mirror naked. Jump up and down and see which bits wobble. If that doesn&#8217;t make you break out in a cold sweat, I don&#8217;t know what will.</p>
<p>8. Dial someone you haven&#8217;t spoken to in years. Find out what&#8217;s going on in their lives. Then you can tell them all about the important report you&#8217;ve got to write. They may be sympathetic. They may invite you over for a beer!</p>

<p>However, if you want to get on in life, ignore the above list.</p>
<p>Become focussed. Plan out your report. Make it the best you can. And get it to your boss on time. Don&#8217;t delay, do it today.</p>

<p>Anxiety is the feeling that is generated when we are placed in situations of stress or when we experience physical or emotional trauma. The sweating of palms before an exam or the heart palpitations before a big interview, or even while making a marriage proposal, that butterflies-in-the-stomach are all physical manifestations of anxiety. Anxiety is a very common feeling and has many common reasons. It is a purely natural reaction and as such is not harmful except when it develops into a chronic condition when the individual feels anxiety without any cause for it. One way of looking at an anxiety attack is an early warning of danger. When danger is expected, the body automatically goes into a defensive mode. In case the danger is real this mode sees us through.</p>
<p>As per the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety problems are the most common form of mental illness that exists in the United States. More than 40 million individuals over 18 are affected every year. There are many types of anxiety disorders.</p>

<p>Ending a relationship is hardly the number one thing to do on anybody&#8217;s calendar.   Fact is that when a relationship has just gone sour. Who should make the first move to end it.  The truth is that many bad relationships last way to long.  Simply because breaking up is very hard to do.</p>
<p>Sometimes a break up happens in dramatic fashion. With clothes being thrown out of  windows an things being broken..</p>
<p>Other times, the relationship just slowly peters out .</p>
<p>What is the best way to end a relationship so that neither party gets hurt?</p>
<p>You need to have clear understanding on why you want to terminate the romance.  The immediate reason that jumps into your mind may not be the real reason.  Once you have found the reason, the next step in ending a relationship is to get honest.  That means that in your discussion with your partner that you are true to yourself and to them.</p>
<p>Schedule a mutually convenient time for the breakup.  In general, it is better to do it in person rather than over the phone, but if distance is an issue in the relationship, you should do it sooner than wait for a time you can get together.</p>
<p>Get into a state of compassion when ending the relationship.  If you want to stay friends after the break up, you need to conclude the romantic ties with love and compassion.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t put your partner on the defensive.  Talk about the things you&#8217;ve learned and the memories you will cherish that have come from your love.  Be present during the break up.  Your partner may become very emotional during this time.  You need to respond to their needs.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t take anything personally when ending a relationship.  Your partner may say things they don&#8217;t really mean.  Let these words roll off of your back.</p>
<p>Your partner may need to meet with you a few times to conclude the relationship.   Give your ex what they need to get through the transition time.</p>
<p>But don&#8217;t let them make you feel guilty.  You&#8217;re ready to begin a new phase in your life and it will not include a romantic relationship with your ex.  It is best if you retain a positive relationship of some sort with them, but if you are ending the relationship for the right reasons, it is best for both of you.</p>

<p>&#8220;There is a wonderful, mystical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind- are always attained by giving them to someone else.&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s so true, isn&#8217;t it? I don&#8217;t know who it was who first said those wise words (if you do know then please tell me), but I have no doubt they lived a very happy life, because they have discovered one of the secrets to happiness.</p>
<p>In fact, the secret to success in all endeavours is found in this quote. No matter what you desire, give first and you will receive.</p>
<p>If you want to receive love, then give love. Not exclusively to one person, but to everyone and everything. Express love to your life, your circumstances, your friends and family, and even the people you pass in the street. If you love all, you will receive love back, and you&#8217;ll become the kind of person who attracts that special person, and those special relationships, and a life of blissful love.</p>
<p>If you want to get rich then don&#8217;t do it through the dog-eat-dog world of competition and win-lose deals. Give increased value to others. Wallace D. Wattles talks about this in his book Science Of Getting Rich better than anyone else I&#8217;ve come across (see the Resources Page on my website to get a free copy). You get rich by providing more in use-value than the cash-value you receive. You get rich through co-operation rather than competition. You get rich through providing win-win deals. You get rich through providing others with the opportunities to improve their own lives. Once again, give and you will receive so much more back.</p>
<p>The same applies to happiness. If you want to be happy, give happiness.</p>
<p>Turn your focus around. It&#8217;s not all about you. Look out into the world and find opportunities to give happiness.</p>
<p>James Matthew Barrie said, &#8220;Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.&#8221;</p>
<p>The great Mark Twain said, &#8220;The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.&#8221;</p>
<p>Give happiness and you will get happiness. It&#8217;s the only way.</p>
<p>Who can you make happy today?</p>
<p>Who can you go and see, just to hang out together?</p>
<p>Who can you phone to tell them you miss them?</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t take much. Smile to someone who is feeling down. Hold a door open for someone behind you. Compliment someone on their clothing. Thank someone for a job well done at work.</p>
<p>Happiness is so easy. Just give it to someone else, and you&#8217;ll find more than enough is magically left behind for you.</p>
<p>Give happiness. Be happy. And smile!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For some of us, spirituality is considered a religion, and for some it is not. For some spiritualists, we still see them dealing with their spiritual belief and see them stuck between two worlds. One world is the &#8220;new belief system&#8221; based on our personal growth, soul growth and our evolution, and their second world is also attached to one, or some part of, religion that makes it a hard time to let go regardless of the reason, but still wants to move beyond that belief system. That will create a conflict that when we decide we want to grow sometimes we are not allowed to bring the old system with us. That will slow us down. Think about it!!!</p>
<p>What do I mean by a &#8220;new belief system&#8221;? For many belonging to spiritualist temples, churches or even centers, the &#8220;new belief system&#8221; plays a big part and is proof of the existence of a Soul after its departure from this plane. That is very good and an important thing to do or prove. I believe that by doing this we are emphasizing an important factor, but at the same time somehow disregarding an even more important part, which is our (in this lifetime) Soul existence and why we are here in the first place.</p>
<p>A person called a spiritualist is a person that outgrew all the issues of hate, anger or frustration of traditions that are attached to a specific set of morals or values. That spiritualist&#8217;s concern is for his or her own evolution first and then for the love and compassion that he or she can bring to the world by respecting another human Soul instead.</p>
<p>How do I define spirituality or being spiritual? In reality, it is very simple and defies all the laws that our society has dictated to us for many years. Spirituality is not a belief system, not based on morals and values but more on understanding and consciousness of our existence and people should try to distinguish the differences.</p>
<p>Spiritual is simply a way of living. That&#8217;s all! What do I mean by this? Being spiritual is being free and basically living by your own values, which assists in the growth of your own Soul and at the same time helps us to respect a human being as a human being. You can belong to any religion while still being spiritual.</p>
<p>Spirituality is not a threat to anyone in reality but is the next step up for the growth of the Soul. Just think about it from that angle!!! So we are here is grow and be in our spiritual path of understanding.</p>
<p>Being associated with another Soul on your spiritual path does not really mean you have karma to deal with that person, but in effect you are receiving a gentle push, or being provided with a little help, to go forward in your own personal growth.</p>
<p>Life is simple so let&#8217;s not complicate it further regardless what our lessons and experiences are in this lifetime.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I seem to lost count on how many times I&#8217;ve read and heard of celebrity marriages failing almost left and right. Not that I care (and personally I don&#8217;t), it seems strange that we often see movie and TV stars as flawless people, living the fairytale life of riches and glamour. I suppose we all have to stop sticking our heads in the clouds and face reality.</p>
<p>There are many ways to lose your sense of self-esteem despite of how trivial it could get. But whatever happens, we should all try not to lose our own sense of self.</p>
<p>So what does it take to be a cut above the rest? Here are some of the things you can think and improve on that should be enough for a week.</p>
<p>1. Know your purpose Are you wandering through life with little direction &#8211; hoping that you&#8217;ll find happiness, health and prosperity? Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own unique compass that will lead you to your truth north every time.</p>
<p>This may seem tricky at first when you see yourself to be in a tight or even dead end. But there&#8217;s always that little loophole to turn things around and you can make a big difference to yourself.</p>
<p>2. Know your values What do you value most? Make a list of your top 5 values. Some examples are security, freedom, family, spiritual development, learning. As you set your goals for 2005 &#8211; check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn&#8217;t align with any of your top five values &#8211; you may want to reconsider it or revise it.</p>
<p>The number shouldn&#8217;t discourage you, instead it should motivate you to do more than you can ever dreamed of.</p>
<p>3. Know your needs Unmet needs can keep you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be right, to be in control, to be loved? There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed or even depressed for that matter. List your top four needs and get them met before it&#8217;s too late!</p>
<p>4. Know your passions You know who you are and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but will not derail your chance to become the person you ought to be. Express yourself and honor the people who has inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.</p>
<p>5. Live from the inside out Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. For most of us city slickers it&#8217;s hard to even find the peace and quiet we want even in our own home. In my case I often just sit in a dimly lit room and play some classical music. There&#8217;s sound, yes, but music does soothe the savage beast.</p>
<p>6. Honor your strengths What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? List three &#8211; if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify these. Are you imaginative, witty, good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others.</p>
<p>7. Serve others When you live authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others -your spirit &#8211; your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them.</p>
<p>Self-improvement is indeed one type of work that is worth it. It shouldn&#8217;t always be within the confines of an office building, or maybe in the four corners of your own room. The difference lies within ourselves and how much we want to change for the better.</p>
