I’m sure you’ve all seen this screenshot. This is from the last episode of the OVA series, featuring the unedited article of the original Tokisaka Incident. I originally thought that the name, Tokisaka Incident, was derived from the fact that the incident occurred a place called Tokisaka. While I was checking through signs to be typesetted for the EnJ movie, I noticed the article once again. This time, I paid more attention to it. On a random urge, I visited the Eve no Jikan website (http://timeofeve.com/) and checked the Character page. The character page lists whether characters are humans or robots and I thought it was odd how Akiko was listed as unknown, so I did a bit of checking.

Upon comparing the photo of the girl in the article with Akiko’s photo on the website, I realized that Akiko is the said girl. The kanji caption underneath the image is blurred (by the creators) so I couldn’t really tell when I first saw it, but after looking at it very closely, I figured it that this is what it says:

常坂アキコちゃん

Translated, that reads: Tokisaka Akiko-chan. In other words, the 5 year old girl that was injured was Tokisaka Akiko. The incident was actually named after the person involved, not the place.

Yeah, just wanted to share.

I’m pretty sure that people already know of the two active projects at the moment (if you don’t, check the Chaos Fansubs tab at the top there). Well, Pokemon hasn’t progressed much. We have some better raws now, but I’m not feeling very motivated to TL it. If there’s a Pokemon fanatic somewhere out there reading this and wants to translate it, please join us! We will do everything else, including the checking and editing of your translations!

The other project is Zettai Karen Children DVDs, a joint with II-Subs. Episode one is pretty much done, but now II-Subs have jumped ship due to personal issues amongst their staff. But that’s fine. Since my group doesn’t really have an encoder, they’re providing the raws they’ve already encoded for us to use. Aside from that, I think we’ve got everything else.

And one final thing to add is the pickup of a brand new project! We are now doing the Time of Eden Movie (Gekijouban Eve no Jikan). This project will be another joint, this time with the group that brought you the best Blu-ray version of Clannad: Mastodon Infantry Internationale! We also have a fellow BakaBT staff member, kureshii, joining us on this project to help with editing, styling and typesetting!

Moving onto other things: Chaos Translations. Golden Sun 4 Koma isn’t progressing at the moment. I’m focusing my efforts on fansubbing at the moment. I’d like to work on the others, but it would be so much easier if I had more staff! Please consider joining us if you are interested in our projects! Other scanlation projects include Hayate no Gotoku! (redoing chapters that have only had crap scanlations) and Zettai Karen Children (same deal as as HnG).

I also want to work on Light Novels with Chaos Translations. To be completely honest, Baka-Tsuki does a poor job on novels. The formatting and translation leaves a lot to be desired. Of course, I can’t really start since I have too much on my plate at the moment.

Finally, Chaos Music. I’m in the process of uploading a huge album to my XDCC bot. After that, there are some others to encode and release.

To the guy who requested Omakase Guardian by Guardian 4: It’s finished downloading and I’m waiting for the current upload to finish before working on it!

To the guy who requested Ultra Eleven OST: Sorry, but it’s nowhere to be found!
