Apparently 4.3 is available now, which is not what you were hoping for, but is on the way to where we want to be. They have given a small detailed description of what is within this update, targeting future developments. Hopefully they have fixed the small errors (play counts, podcasts) found from 4.1.

Hopefully this means that the apps and stuff are around the corner, maybe even the 17th of November, the same date as the Xbox Update. We will have to wait and see.

Its about time! Today, Steve Ballmer announced that Windows Mobile 7 will include Zune integration! This means that the name "Zune" will get "out there" more, and the Zune will become more popular than ever! What do you guys think? Is this good? Bad? Is Microsoft finally going in the right direction some more?

I personally think so, With the ZuneHD, and Windows 7 both being a pretty good success, bringing Zune to Windows Mobile might do good for both the Zune, and Windows Mobile.

So it seems there was an unknown amount of ZuneHD hats that were made not too long ago. Well, a ebayer named Purecoda is currently selling a ZuneHD hat made by New Era. It is a fitted as some people would like to call it. Now, you only have a little over 2 days to bid on this item, and I would strongly suggest bidding on it if you want it, seeing as the bidder notes that it was given to him the day of the ZuneHD release by a zune Rep, so there’s a chance a hat like this won’t come on ebay again. For a long time now we have been speculating whether Microsoft will release the Software, and with it the potential of the Zune to Apple Mac’s. Time and time again they have never really let Apple have a taste, and rightly so. But it leaves you to think, if you want to beat the competitor, don’t you have to join them first?

I feel releasing an Apple Zune Software would potentially grab Ipod users a lot easier, as they can try the service out for themselves, without having to play around with stupid VirtualBox programs which let you run a Windows OS within the MAC OS. It could spread the Zune into Apple land and grasp some of their users. Now that would be a good idea.

You also have to think about the Potential of the Zune Pass. This is now becoming DRM free, which allows the music to be put onto any device, including the Ipod’s. This could create a huge problem with the people at Itunes, where I feel $15 a month is a lot better than $1 a song, and we could start seeing Ipod owners using A Zune Pass. Not the full monty, but Microsoft is on the right track.

I also see a good point to this, and to the past. Why release something that isnt good, and give it to everyone? I mean, it would leave a bad taste for the rest of that devices life, correct? I feel Microsoft are finally proud of the Zune, and can now release it to the wild, seeing as a International release might come early next year, also.

I don’t know about you, but I feel this is a good way to slowly win over more users, and eventually RULE THE WORLD *ahem* ,back the Zune franchise.

Again, this is not set in stone, but Microsoft are thinking about it. But first they have to sort the Zune on the Xbox, Zune on Windows Mobile, and THEN, they can decide whether or not fanboys deserve such a great experience.

Flash 10.1 has been released, and is now capable of running on near every mobile device with a screen, says Engagdet. This bodes well for our beloved ZuneHD and would blast it way past the Ipod Touch/Iphone. Why you say? Because for some odd reason, Apple have kept the Itouch closed down for this update, keeping Flash well away from those devices. Also, this will allow YouTube to stream at HD quality!! So this is great news, IF, and its a big IF, Microsoft let the update progress to a next firmware upgrade. Lets hope, shall we?

Looks like some more information is being dug out of the Zune Software source code. Apparently, Rafael Rivera of WithinWindows has hacked up the code and found a gem of a find. There is (or was) plans to include internet radio inside the Zune Software!

However, if you think about it, wouldn’t it take away from the use of the Zune Pass and/or duplicate streaming over the web anyways? I dunno if we’ll see this, but it’s definitely worth noting…
