Do you have pumpkins left over from Halloween?  We had 2 small pumpkins that we got for free when we were camping.  The boys decorated them with markers, but otherwise they were untouched.

After watching Foodie Daddy’s pumpkin pie demonstration at the Saving Up Event (and easy recipe for no-bake pumpkin pie), I was motivated to actually try to use the pumpkins that I had sitting around.  So, on Sunday afternoon, I cut up one of the pumpkins so that I could roast pumpkin seeds.  However, I’ve read several places on the web how easy it is to make your own pumpkin puree.  So, I tried it…it really is quite easy.  I plan on making Money Saving Mom’s pumpkin muffins (without the chocolate chips tomorrow).

I would also like to use this opportunity to thank our veterans for the sacrifices that they have made each and every day that they were in the service.  They were willing to sacrifice their lives for my freedom and many of them did lose their lives.  I also thank the families of the veterans for the many sacrifices that they also had to make while their loved ones were serving our country.

In my family, we have the Little People nativity play set as part of our Christmas traditions.  There are several versions of the playset, but the Fisher-Price store has the exclusive version.

Now through Thursday, you can get free shipping at the Fisher-Price store when you use coupon code FREEM at checkout.  The nativity set is currently priced at $33.00, which is a decent price compared to other stores like Amazonfor a similar set.

Fisher-Price does not appear to offer cash-back opportunities for shopping.

• Meijer will honor competitor prescription coupons, but will only offer up to $10.
• Some CVS stores will accept competitor prescription coupons. Plus you earn $1 ECB’s for every 2 prescriptions filled at CVS.
• Kmart will accept competitor coupons
• Other pharmacies that accept competitor coupons are Osco Drug, Fry’s Food Stores, Albertson’s Food Stores and even some Walgreen’s will do so but they are few and far between.
