The theme for the night was inspired by Bacchus, the ancient Roman god of wine and celebration, so naturally, the dress code was “dress as your favourite wine.” I pulled this red-fringe dress and faux-fur jacket from my storage archive, and tbh, felt like the perfect look. A little dramatic, a little vintage, very much red wine.

One thing I always love about the Bata Shoe Museum is how they make history feel stylish and alive. This exhibition is about shoes, yes, but it’s also about people, culture, craftsmanship, travel, and everyday life from nearly two thousand years ago. Seeing footwear from that time up close is such a cool reminder that fashion and function have always been part of the human story.

The event had such a great vibe with music, wine, and a beautiful spread of Roman-inspired bites. The museum was transformed with columns, drapery, statues (even human ones! ha), grapes, candles, and all the dreamy ancient-Rome details. Part museum opening, part party, part fashion moment.

I went with Nadia and ran into so many of my favourite girl friends! It was especially fun because one of my girl chat groups had our first IRL hang in ages. You know when the group chat finally becomes real life? Love that. It was also two days before my birthday, so it was especially fab to hug some of my favourite people.

The evening started with a red carpet moment and a quick intro from two of the stars, Patrick J. Adams and Elle Chapman, before we settled in for the screening. Loved the VIP experience, which included dinner, popcorn, and in-seat service. Natalie and I ordered a fountain Diet Coke, the best style of Diet Coke in my personal opinion. (McDonald’s Diet Coke is #1 in my heart!)

We watched the first two episodes, and I was into it right away. The series is created by Taylor Sheridan, so it has that strong, cinematic storytelling he’s known for. The show is set in Montana, and it’s beautiful; wide open landscapes, a bit rugged, my favourite.

Watching shows on the big screen is so good, more immersive than your usual at-home watch.

A few days later, I found myself in Brantford, Ontario, sitting in a courtroom set surrounded by cameras, crew, and some seriously talented actors. The show is called Vladimir, and it just launched on Netflix today. And guess what? I’m in it. I watched a couple eps and it’s a great show. Very sexy! After watching, I found out they called “us” something else, but I don’t want to spoil it.

Okay, let’s be clear, this is not a big role. I’m not speaking. I’m not central to the plot. I’m simply part of the group of women (victims!) sitting in the courtroom gallery. But if you watch Episode 7 and Episode 8, you can spot me in a few shots.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at my wardrobe, and taking selfies after hair and makeup.

One of the funniest parts of the day was that the Toronto Blue Jays were in the World Series while we were filming. So between takes, and especially once we wrapped, everyone was sneaking back to watch the game. The set was an old courtroom in Brantford, so imagine a group of actors, crew members, and extras gathered around, watching baseball in the back of the courtroom. It was honestly hilarious and such a fun vibe.

It also happened to be the final day of filming, so they went all out for the wrap meal. There was roast beef, chicken, lobster, mashed potatoes, tons of sides, and an entire table of desserts. It felt like a full celebration dinner. I snapped a photo of my plate because it was too good not to keep as a memory. It was such a fun way to end the day, and I had a really great time working with everyone on set.

Anyhow, here are a few snaps from our TV of me in episodes 7 and 8 of Vladimir on Netflix. I’m wearing the pink cardigan.

Honestly, it was so much fun. Here’s to bigger roles in 2026!
