A little while ago, I auditioned for a Domino’s commercial. I originally auditioned for one role but was called in for an in-person audition for a completely different one. Plus, I got to show off my line dancing skills!

The morning of the casting, they sent me a line-dancing routine, and, obviously, I learned it. When I arrived at the casting, it turned out I knew the dance so well that they asked me to teach it to everyone else! The team at Mann Casting was so appreciative they gave snacks and a bottle of wine for helping. Honestly, it was the most fun casting experience I’ve ever had.

When I left, I had a really good feeling about it. A few minutes later, my agent sent a text that they’d already reached out to check my availability. THEN I BOOKED IT!

Fittings, Blocking & Shoot Days

First up was my fitting, which was all the way in Scarborough. My bf drove me there in his truck and waited while I tried on my first round of outfits. Having him there made the whole adventure more fun.

My first day on set was a Blocking day where we spent the day working through the scenes, movements, camera positions, and how everything would come together. I have two roles in the commercial ‘Line Dancer’ and ‘Coachella’.

After that, I had two full shoot days. It was SO MUCH FUN.

I love being on set. There are so many people and moving parts involved in making even a short commercial. It’s always exciting to see everything come together: wardrobe, hair and makeup, lighting, cameras, choreography, props, and production.

On Day 1, we filmed most of the line dancing on a huge sound stage. On Day 2, we did both line dancing (back on the sound stage) and Coachella, which was on the B-set in a huge room on a big white seamless.

The Domino’s Beta Testers Campaign

The commercial is part of Domino’s new summer campaign looking for Beta Testers. Domino’s is giving people $5 to test out their app, which means you can get $5 off your pizza. The campaign has officially started rolling out, and I am so excited to finally share it.

I haven’t even seen all the different versions yet, but one of the videos Domino’s posted on YouTube already has more than a million views, which is WILD. You can only see me in it for a second, and I’m really small. Look for me about to accept the pizza!

There should be more versions of the campaign popping up over the next little while, so I’m keeping my eyes open to see where else I appear. It’s such a funny thing to spend days filming something, then waiting weeks/months to finally see where your face ends up.

Grateful I got to be part of this campaign, from learning a line dance at home to teaching it at the casting, booking the job, fittings, two amazing days on set; the whole experience was so great.

Also, getting paid to dance and be in a pizza commercial? Pretty great job haha. Thank you to my wonderful Agent, Summer, at Star Talent Inc. She booked 3 of her actors for this one!

Basically, they created my perfect summer wardrobe.

I brought everything up to the farm and ended up wearing the pieces all weekend. They’re so comfortable! The pants are loose and breezy, love that I can wear the short-sleeve top during the day and the longer-sleeve when it gets cooler at night.

The whole outfit has that effortless linen look I love. It’s casual enough to wear barefoot around the farm, hanging out in the garden, but somehow looks totally put together. Add some good shoes and accessories and I could easily wear the exact same outfit for dinner.

That kind of versatility is especially great for travel. Three pieces that all work together means multiple outfits without taking up half your suitcase. Linen is such a classic summer fabric, these pieces are beautifully made, something I’ll have forever.

We’ve been using the Titan Welded Cooler by Arctic Zone for months now, and I can confidently say it is the best cooler I’ve ever owned. And we have REALLLLLLLY put it to the test. This thing is 24 quart and holds 36 cans. Grab one at Walmart for $89 before summer is over!

This cooler has spent countless hours strapped to the back of an ATV, bouncing around trails, going through mud and the bush, camping, hanging out at the farm, and keeping our drinks cold on long summer days. My boyfriend takes it out on ATV adventures all the time and, as you can probably tell from the photos, he is definitely not gentle with it.

Built for Adventures

One of the things I love most about the Titan is how incredibly durable it feels. The welded exterior is sturdy enough that it holds its shape, while still being much easier to carry around than a big traditional hard cooler.

It has travelled down muddy trails, through the woods and into places where I definitely wouldn’t want to bring something delicate. Dirt, mud and water don’t seem to bother it at all. The waterproof exterior is also super easy to wipe down when we get back. This thing is tough.

Yes, It Keeps the Beer COLD

Obviously, this is the important part. It keeps everything really cold. The cooler holds up to 36 cans, which is honestly perfect. Fill it with ice, throw in the drinks and you’re ready for a full day outside. We’ve used it for beers at the farm, camping, ATV trips and basically any summer situation.

There’s something particularly satisfying about being deep in the woods, stopping the ATV, opening the cooler and pulling out an ice-cold beer. Summer perfection.

The Air-Lok Latch Is SO Good

Another feature I really appreciate is the secure Air-Lok latch. You can actually see in the photos how securely the cooler sits on the ATV. When you’re bouncing around trails and going through mud, you don’t want to be wondering whether your cooler is going to pop open.

The closure feels incredibly solid, and the waterproof, leak-proof design means melted ice stays where it’s supposed to. It’s also nice that you don’t have to fight with a zipper every time you want a drink. Pop the latch, grab what you need, close it and keep going.

Easy to Clean, Thankfully!

Looking at some of these photos, you can probably understand why this is important. Our cooler gets dirty. It’s been covered in dust, splashed with mud and taken through some pretty messy ATV trails. Being able to easily wipe down the waterproof exterior is a huge plus.

One of My Favourite Summer Products

I get to try a lot of products, and the ones I end up loving most are usually the ones that naturally become part of our everyday life.

We didn’t just use it once or twice for photos. It lives at the farm. It goes on adventures. My boyfriend takes it out on the ATV. We fill it with ice and beer. It gets muddy.
