There are a bevy of sites that offer free credit reports. Many of them request your report for you from one of the big three (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) reporting services and then subscribe you to a credit monitoring service trial. They will then charge you if you forget to cancel the trial.

EACH of the big three credit reporting agencies allow every US resident to recieve a free credit report every 12 months. That means you can effectively get three free reports per year.

Go to AnnualCreditReport.com to sign up and recieve the only TRULY free credit reports. This site is sponsored by the big three reprting agencies and results in nothing but your credit report. Go there and check out their FAQ, it will answer all your questions.

Welcome to CashFree.org. This site has been an idea in the making for years, and has finally come to fruition. We’ll report on the stories related to electronic payments, finances, budgeting, and more. If it involves cash (or the lack of it) we’ll tell you about it.

We want a world where cash is no longer needed. Don’t worry, we’re not a crazy group that thinks all payment systems are irrelevant and unecessary. On the other hand, we feel greatly that payment systems are 100% necessary. We just don’t so much like cash and carrying it around. We’d prefer to use credit cards, smart cards, etc.
