Haritha V Kumar from Thiruvananthapuram topped the examination. She is also the first Keralite in 20 years to have topped the civil services examination. The last time a candidate from Kerala to top the examination was in 1991.</p>
<p>Haritha V Kumar is an Engineer by profession who completed her degree in Electronics and Communication from Government College of Engineering, Barton Hill. She is currently undergoing training as an Indian Revenue Service Probationer at NACEN.  She is also an ardent lover of Carnatic Music, Old Malayalam Movie Songs &amp; Malayalam Literature.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Out of the 13,092 candidates who qualified for the mains examination, 2674 of them were selected for the personality test and interview. A total of 998 candidates were successful after the interview process. There were 245 girls in the final list of selected candidates.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The second rank also went to a student from Kerala University, V.Sriram who is an MBBS student. Stuti Charan of Delhi was ranked third.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">I would like to share my job HUNTING EXPERIENCE. I didn&#8217;t study in some very classy college and not many companies came. Although, I was the only girl in the 5 selected amongst 600 odd students. It was a start-up company that offered 1.8 lpa but I was really proud about where I stood in the crowd. Although, it never gave us the joining and I had sensed this pretty early.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Soon, I moved to New Delhi and started my job hunt. Gave interviews, ran after consultancies etc. One instance, I went for an interview in Noida. It was a very small company and would give us job for 6 months without pay but yes,you would have learnt a lot. I was astonished to see that even for a job without pay there were around 500 people. I pity the situation of Engineers today cos from childhood without knowing we were asked to Run even without knowing why we were doing so. It&#8217;s nobody&#8217;s fault. That 1000 sq.feet company became the destination of every engineer&#8217;s dream and a door shut for the helplessness, trauma and frustration. I did see tired and hopeful eyes around me at the same time. Tired for the pressure of being unemployed and hopeful that this may end today. I remember that day everyone started to push and became uncontrollable. Clearly remembering,being a girl I climbed the gate of the office and caught shirt of one guy so that somehow I am in the first row of students to be called. I managed to go 4th for the walk-in. I was satisfied with my interview and waited 3 hrs for the result in that no-mans land. Even the guard didn&#8217;t offer water when students asked them. After waiting, it was declared that the vacancy has been filled by someone on referral. After continuous banging throughout the day when you come to know this, only an engineer can say what it feels like. I was much dejected and decided to go home for sometime. One feels at the end of the world every time. One loses confidence on himself.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I returned back to Delhi after 20 days and got a call from very good company but alas was rejected in the final round. My parents wanted me to return back but I was adamant and less humane this time with a determination.After 2 days, I got selected in world&#8217;s 5th best company to work for. The phase had ended. The darkness was engulfed by light. Today, I am really happy with my job and have become more innovative to grow in this industry. So remember, after every sunset their is a sunrise and this dark phase can transform you in most positive way. Don&#8217;t just add to the mob of Engineers. Do what you want. Many engineers including me never had interest.So don&#8217;t do what you are bound to do and leave what you love doing. I wanted to become a lawyer but somehow managed to be an okay engineer. I hope you find this worth reading.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">TNEA, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission is a process through which about 150,000 engineering aspirants go through every year to get themselves enrolled into the state Engineering Colleges. This is a single window kind of counseling procedure for admissions to Engineering courses available in various colleges across the state. The process is done by the Anna University and it is a completely transparent process .</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Issue of Application &amp; Submission</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Anna University issues the  TNEA applications. Engineering aspirants need to fill this form and submit it. The  candidates application number is the the number in the coding sheet. This is also the reference number for the candidate for any future references, hence it is essential that the candidate keeps this number handy. All the candidates who have submitted the application are then ranked by the Anna University and called for the counselling process.  The applications are scrutinized after the submission, the coding sheet is then scanned and the data transferred to the computer for the counselling process.  All the data which requires supporting documents is checked for, hence it is essential that the candidate attaches all the supporting documents properly.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Publication of Rank<br />
</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The maximum mark arrived at by taking Physics and Chemistry marks at a total of 50 and Maths at 100. Hence the maximum marks one can obtain is 200. The candidates are then ranked on the basis of their aggregate out of this 200. There will be many candidates at the same marks in which case the following rules are applied  for tie-breaker.</p>
<ol>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Two candidates having the same aggregate marks, higher Maths mark is ranked above.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Maths mark if same, higher Physics marks would be used to break the tie.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Maths and Physics mark being same, Chemistry mark would be eventually same.  Elder candidate will be ranked above the others.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">DOB being same then a 10-digit random number is used  decide the ranking . The candidate with highest random number is ranked above the other.</div>
</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The random number is generated publicly in a transparent process and mentioned in the website before the counseling, latter the rank list is published and put on the website.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Call letter for Counselling<br />
</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Candidates are called for counselling based on the rank.  A call letter is send to the candidate containing the date of counselling to his communication  address, it is also published on the websites and leading dailies in TN.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Single Window Counselling</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On  the day of  the counselling , TNEA follows the following process:</p>

</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Candidate need to remit the fee towards counselling in the bank counter and accept a bank challan after giving their call letter. Candidates will be allowed to remit this amount much before their counselling session. The challan will have the candidate&#8217;s ranking in the respective counselling session.</p>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Briefing Session</strong></div>

</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Candidate can be  accompanied by one person at the allotted time. After entering the briefing hall, the candidate&#8217;s attendance will be taken for that session .  Candidates are then briefed about the order of arranging their certificates and other procedures that follows.</p>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Verification of Certificates  and Allotment</strong></div>

</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Candidate&#8217;s certificates and supporting documents will be verified (in original) . TNEA holds the right to reject a candidate if the certificates are not original or any discrepancies are found. After the  successful verification the candidates will be allowed to the counselling hall.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Candidates are called based on their session rank for counselling. The students can then choose a seat from  available seats . Three choices are allowed. Based upon the final session rank , choice will be confirmed.</p>

</strong></div>

</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Once  the seat is allotted, the candidate can collect the allotment order at the Allotment Order section. Candidates should verify that the college and course  printed in the allotment order is as per his choice. The candidate then takes this allotment order to the college for admission before the last date mentioned in the allotment order.</p>

The <strong>Executive Trainees</strong> will be sponsored  for one year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Metro Technology and Management by  DMRC. On successful completion of the course, the Executive Trainee will be  inducted in DMRC as <strong>Assistant Manager</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Eligibility :</span></strong></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Training and Probation :</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The selected candidates as Executive Trainee will join IIT/Delhi for a period of one year. On successful completion of the course and appointment as Assistant Manager, they will be placed on Probation for a period of two years (including period of training other than IIT/Delhi), where they will undergo intensive training for prescribed duration. The Corporation has the right to enhance or reduce the training period at its discretion for any or all the trainees. During the probation period, the candidates shall be required to pass various examinations. The service of the candidate during probation period can be terminated by the corporation if the performance of candidate is found to be unsatisfactory, in accordance with the terms &amp; conditions of offer of appointment.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Pay and Emolument :</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<div id="_mcePaste" style="text-align: justify;">The Executive Trainee will be sent for one year „Post Graduate Diploma Course” in Metro Technology and Management at IIT/Delhi. During the course, the trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs.25000/- p.m. Accommodation facility for self only will be arranged by DMRC during the period of the course at IIT/Delhi.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="text-align: justify;">On successful completion of the course, the trainees will be inducted as Assistant Manager in DMRC in IDA pay scale of Rs.20600-46500/- (Basic pay + 35% perks + prevalent DA in IDA + 30% HRA or Lease of Rs.21000/-, Site allowances and Company Vehicle etc. ) Trainees who secure more than 85% marks during the PG Diploma course will be granted two advance increments upon joining as Assistant Manager, those securing between 80% to 85% will be granted only one advance increment at the time of induction while those who secure less than 80% marks will be fixed at the minimum of the grade.</div>

<li>A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 70% marks with  Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level.</li>
<li>For CPL &#8211;  Graduation with 60% marks with Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs. 66500/- for Tech. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of  Defense (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore during May &#8211; Oct 2013</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">(b) SSB interview will be conducted in two Stages. Stage I test consisting of intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day.Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 days).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">(c) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">(d) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstance.</div>

<li>Bachelor of Law (5 years integrated Full Time course after 10 + 2) or Bachelor’s Degree with Full Time Bachelor of Law (3 + 3 years after 10 + 2), from Institutes / Universities, recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country.</li>
<li>General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% Marks in Bachelor of Law (3 years or 5 years Integrated Law course), in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations. SC / ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% Marks in Bachelor of Law (3 years or 5 years Integrated Law course), in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Age :</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Upper Age limit not above 28 years as on 24.04.2013 for General category candidates.</li>
<li>Upper Age limit is relaxable by 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates.· Upper Age limit is relaxable by 3 years in respect of OBC (non &#8211; creamy layer) candidates.</li>
<li>In respect of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Upper Age limit is relaxable by 10 years, which will be over and above the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Emolument :</span></strong></p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>During the training period, the Trainees shall draw a Stipend comprising of Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance &amp; Canteen Allowance. Besides, bachelor accommodation or  House Rent Allowance is also admissible during the training period, depending upon the place of posting, as per company rules. The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) per annum during training is Rs. 4.2 to 4.6 lakhs.</li>
<li>On successful completion of the training, the Trainees would be absorbed as Officer (Legal) with a Basic Pay of Rs. 16,400/- in the Grade-II Scale of Pay of Rs. 16,400-40,500/. On absorption, the candidate will be eligible for Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance, other Perks &amp; Allowances, Company Accommodation / House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Leave, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Gratuity etc as per company rules.</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Service Bond :</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Selected candidates shall execute a Service Agreement Bond to serve HAL for a period of 5 years (excluding the training period). In case of breach of the Service Agreement during the training period or after absorption as Officer (Legal), the candidate is liable to reimburse the actual training expenses (including recruitment expenses, all the remuneration paid and expenses incurred during the training period), subject to a maximum of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Selection Procedure :</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Eligible candidates will have to appear for an Objective Type Competitive Online Test at their own expense, on the date, time and venue, which will be mentioned in the Admit Card. Candidates are required to produce one of the original &amp; valid Identity Card (i.e., Voters ID card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Passport &amp; PAN card) to prove their identity before the Invigilator, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the Online Test.</li>
<li>The test will be of 2 ½ hours duration. The test will be in three parts. Part – I will consist of 20 questions on general awareness. Part – II will consist of 40 questions on English &amp; Reasoning. Part – III will consist of 100 questions on Law. The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will have to give their choice for appearing in Hindi or English at the time of applying for the post which can not be changed subsequently.</li>
<li>The Online Test will be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai &amp; Noida. Candidates are required to choose any two cities as preference – 1 &amp; 2 for Test Center and no change in any circumstance will be considered subsequently. However, HAL reserves the right to add / cancel any centre and allocate appropriate centre to the candidates.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">The candidate has to download his Admit card from HAL website. Admit cards will not be sent either by post or by e-mail.</li>
