If you are not afraid of mail-in rebate (MIR) armageddon (a regular mail-in rebate and an upgrader mail-in rebate), you can get Avid's Studio HD for free after two $30 MIRs. Online or in-store. This is for mail-in rebate gurus only, as double MIRs with upgrader requirements are filled with traps if you are not a battle-tested MIRer.

The Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6 non-USM non-IS lens has returned in-stock at Amazon by Amazon for around $160, and that means the Canon Digital Rebel Instant Rebates have been reactivated again. Please note the Instant Rebate lenses can go in and out of stock like crazy, so YMMV depending on when you read this.

The combined instant rebate on this lens is a $100 discount. If the price of the lens is $160, that means you can add it to a qualifying D-Rebel kit for +$60. The Canon 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS USM has returned in-stock at Amazon by Amazon for $450. This means that the Canon Instant Rebates that include this lens for the Digital Rebels and the 60D and 7D have been activated again.

The lens currently goes for $450. The combined purchase instant rebate discount is $250 off, so you are essentially adding this lens to an eligible Canon DSLR kit for just +$200 more.

The other two lenses (55-250 and 75-300) remain out of stock and unorderable.

On the good news front, the D-Rebel T2i w/18-55 kit has also returned in-stock at Amazon.

Even if you are not interested in it at the current price, you can play a game of "Open Box Price Chicken". The longer you wait, the lower the price will likely be, but the lower the price gets, the chances increase that someone else may buy it.
