Ordered Pizza and Sides

As much as I like to make maja blanca and cook mixed vegetables in coconut milk with rice and salted fish then stew fish for meal but cannot kept-up with my time. Very busy and I had only few time left for me to do it all if ever. And my baby love daughter Sam already woke-up. Now goodbye to the cooking-journey in my kitchen then. Option B took its place. Yes, a ready-to-eat one should have to be ordered. " And hot pizza, bread sticks and soda has to be in my table before they are here " --- was what's on my mind lately. And hooray, I got it! After I took shower, I called the pizza delivery and placed an order. They made it on-time! Great job to them. Huts off! The delivery man deserves my tip (not that big but he deserves it). After all, it was friends get-together. Meaning, special :-)

It had been how many months I was not able to eat that meat lovers favorite toppings of the pizza DH and I liked to order. You know, I am in diet for the goal of weight loss blah blah. If you didn't know, it was not yet a year old my baby Sam had been delivered in this world by yours truly. Apparently, I still had the baby fat on me. Ha! So a typical pizza is a no-no (yes, unless if it's non-fat *wink*) for successive eats.

Reunited with City Friends and Our Kids

Oops! You might wonder what I meant My City Friends. It is meant as my friends here in the city where I live. I have three friends here, namely: friend C, friend A and friend P {friends CAP for short. :-)}. It is reunited since we have not been able to be around with each other with our kids completely for how many months already. First time then we were complete. Yesterday was a joy in our hearts and the hearts of our kids. It was at my home. Good thing they suggest it here since no need for me to go there and everywhere. Heh! :-) You know, tomorrow is a pre-op of my baby love. :-)

Okay, friend D and her kids was able to attend. She did not picked-up her mobile as friend C and P called her. Whilst friend C was with her kids bought something and headed towards my home, she saw them. Great that she went. We had. Kids had fun. At first, my daughter Sam got wary but later on she got used with her friends and mine. She had fun among us. :-)

Foods and pizza its bread sticks were served along with misty drink. We had a lot of foods, in fact, there are many leftovers. The foods were not planned so well but see, we had a lot and again we had many leftovers. I think God blessed us. :-)

By the way, we gathered together for the condolence of our friend C, her mother died. Sad. :(

Alright, let's not spoil the time-being for friends reunited. All in all, the friends journey met-up was great though.

4 Pieces Fried Drumstick

Wow! That was (I just had my dinner) my first time I finished four (4) pieces of medium drumstick deeply fried of olive oil by my husband. Yes, he is now the one volunteering to fry chicken every time fried chicken is our meal. I could not contain my happiness of what he is doing. I am happy because I don't like frying chicken. I usually had blisters out of a very hot oil. It is not my first time frying chicken but I don't know know I just cannot minimize the hotness or so. What my husband does and advises me at the same time, is he put a cover on the pan but that is close to impossible to me to do that because our stove is high. Putting a cover in the pan would make it worse for me. Good for him because he is tall. Alright, I am grateful he sees the problem. Ha! I can just remember, every time I had blister/s before, he is always there for me to put vaseline on it so it won't be painful. :-) Just being grateful, on the other hand. :-)

Okay, so, this is a record for me and apparently I am making a note. (*wink*) To pair with my viand 4 fried medium drumsticks, a half a cup of rice is doing great along with a lemon-sugar free maple syrup. Burped! Oops! Excuse me. I just had a great dinner (aside from DH cooked it). Smiley me. :-)

Body Inflammation

Health is very important in our life's journey. If I am weak, I cannot do what I need to do. I cannot do whatever I like, whatever I want. Like for example, traveling, taking care of our home especially my daughter Sam and my DH. Who will do the laundry, cooking, cleaning and likes? My husband can do, but just for the meantime. It is my work and nothing can exceeds the job of being a mother and a homemaker in our home, but me. That is why if there is a little problem of my body, I have to let it cure directly, in an instant if it can be. I cannot trust my family in the hands of another. So I have to be healthy all the time. Being healthy means having no pain which is the result of inflammation in any part of my body. Usually, muscle pain as well as joint and body pains are just normal to me. I mean, it is always there, come and go since my work is also come and go, ooh wait, mostly are routine. Pink Lady, Apple Fruit Name

I have to admit this is my first time of this name of apple, Pink Lady, is the name. All I know is that Fuji apple is the best. Well, not anymore now since I have seen this new one. And mind you, it taste like the Fuji, there's nothing difference except that what I just ate was in a bag of little ones whereas in Fuji, I know there are big ones. Who knows there are also big of this. This has grown here in USA and the Fuji is I don't know where it grow. All I know it that it taste very much alike. And it is cheaper than Fuji. I got a dollar and fifty cents for a bag of 12-15 pieces I think. Not bad for a first-timer of this variety huh! I was even skeptical of buying it since most fruits in bags seems like it is not as tasty than the ones that are of pieces (not in a bag). But I was wrong and I am so glad I got this as I can now differentiate what's the difference of the two for now. I will have my journey of finding-out if there is bigger ones of this. I want to try it too if there's any difference to Fuji or the little ones. By the way, it is not very little huh, it seems like medium when compared to the big Fuji I saw (or bought. I bought the big Fuji while bought this one too to the thought of "what if I don't like this" . :-) I don't have a luxury of going back and forth to the store huh! :-)

Sleeping Aid for Travelers and Alike

I still can remember when I did my travel from here in US to Philippines (by birth country) two years ago and the travel from Philippines to here in US (about five years ago). That was whooping 16 hours or about travel with only one stop, in Manila and the other one is in Taiwan and Manila. You know the time difference of California and Philippines, it is 15 or 16 hours (depending if it is Pacific Daylight *15 hours* Time or, Pacific Standard Time *16 hours*). Now what is the effect? Jetlag! Yes, you read it right. Our eyes get used to the sleeping/night time and the day time on the other hand. Let say, it is daylight here in US and night time there in Philippines. Since our body clock cannot adopt easily to the time zone we often need some sleeping solution of that. Some tend to buy zopiclone online or at drug store where sleeping aid is easily available just to get the eyes sleep when all of the people are sleeping. You know, we have to adopt to the surroundings too. :-)

Back to the days when it was my first day in the new time zone, it is very hard for me to sleep in their night time and wakes-up during daytime. That is hard, nope that's underestimate, it's very hard. When it comes to body clock, that is such a whew! I can't say more. I am not complaining though. :-)

Mazanos Banana

Didn't I told you that I am in diet right now? Yes, you bet! Okay, I told you in my other former posts. So I am in fruit diets. Meaning I eat more fruits nowadays and the 30 minutes-1 hour-fruits eating before the typical meal. And to tell you, even if I am not in diet, this mazanos banana variety is my favorite of all the banana family, alright the variety.

By the way, this is my first time that I know how they call it here (or at least in the grocery store or market). As I bought it, I then looked what the name because I know that it is the banana of my favorite. And yeah, it is "mazanos" (or the "tundan" , "tundal" in "Bisaya" birthplace dialect in the Philippines, Camiguin.

And so now I know. I smile left and right because I now know where to get when I ought to get and eat it. And the great catch is, it is very near of our apartment home rented. Yay! Happy me! :-)

DIL Studies in New York

I did not talk about my husband's life journey before we have each other. I think it is best that way as much as he thinks so. Yours truly like that idea as I believe the past should only have to deal with when it could encourage or for the betterment of the present, if not then forget it, don't you think? I don't know about you but that's what I believe so and I am entitled to that. :-)

Okay, so this is the first time I talked about her, my daughter-in-law. She is a darling. She gives me a warm regards when my DH and her talks. I can just remember she gave us (my DH and I) a gift on our wedding anniversary and that's more than sweet to me. Her current school is in New York, New York City. She has many friends and I think she enjoys (despite the hard-work of studying while working) there. She lives in a dorm or one of New York City apartment rentals. So far, she don't have any complains about her place' surroundings and the people and so. Yes, it is expensive living in New York but if you have guts with the right place, then you will have your success. That is a famous word of forefathers, "no guts, no glory" , that is, with the extra of the place/surroundings and the people. So kudos to her for being independent and being able to find a good place. I can just remember two years ago when she sent us her pictures as 1st Runner-Up Miss Jamaica-Florida in the University of Florida where she went for her study. She's a darling, sweet and thoughtful. I pray to have her all the best that this life offer!

Fish Stew

I am into fish nowadays. The most that I like to cook and craved for is cooking it without a cooking oil. I just had fish soups with vegetables and sometimes no veges on it, just plain spices like bell pepper, scallions (green onions or the onion leaves), tomato, ginger, lemon grass with salt. :-) My tummy already smiled (or can smile all the way) that way. Didn't I told you that it feels like heaven of eating without cooking oil on it especially these days? Yes, I did. Ha!

And you bet, I have a fish stew sitting over my stove this time. It is fresh from my own kitchen. Nothing beats home-made! The pompano-kind of fish (only thinner, sorry forgot the name) is just right for the time. Oops, I just remember the other fish I thaw, will check it after I finish this. I think, it is already great to cook. Okay, tomorrow first thing in the morning. Back to the stew, mmm.. I can now smell it's deliciousness in the air. Ha! As clear as crystal, I am now hungry. It's time for me eat. Ciao!

Lemons, my Kitchen Tiles Cleaner

Yes, the fresh lemons would do for cleaning the kitchen tiles.

As much as I know lemons can be a good cleaning stuff for stained clothes,a very good cure for cough, meat marinade, an ingredient for detox cleansing, a usual juice and the likes, this can also be a good stuff for cleaning. Just as I said, it is a great stuff or kitchen tiles cleaner, to name just a few! It's not that I know. But days before this day as I extracted a juice from it, there are residue spilled into the tiles of my kitchen. And before I knew it, it already made my hard to clean dark spots in the tiles now squeaky clean. Whew! What a good find. Now I know. You know what, I find it very hard what to do with the above tiles in the kitchen in a savvy way (yep, I don't want to put grout on it, well, before putting such you have to let it clean so the dark spots won't be spotted still since our tiles in the kitchen is color off-white (close to white).

So, that's a great news to those moms/homemakers/housewives like me who wants to clean their kitchen in a savvy way. I got a juice at the same time I have cleaned my kitchen! What a great day! Smiling left and right me. :-)

I Love to Eat Tuna!

I love eating sea foods especially healthy tuna. It is either fresh from the ocean, canned or frozen is best for our health. As it has been said, tuna is pack with protein, omega-3, vitamin D, and selenium which plays an important role in our body. According to the research of scientific study, diet rich in fish that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, like canned tuna, can curb or prevent cognitive decline, dementia, depression, neuro-psychiatric disorders, asthma and inflammatory disorders. An issue between tuna and pregnant women questioned but scientific studies prove that tuna is safe to eat for pregnant women! It is even proven that pregnant women who always eat tuna boosts her child's brain. While it is true that pregnant women should stay-away see foods that have high-mercury (like shark, mackerel, swordfish, tilefish), it is actually SMART to eat seafood during pregnancy (following what your OB-GYN or doctor words about what fish to eat or not)!

For me, I prepare my healthy tuna food usually for sandwiches. My family (especially DH) likes it a lot and even always requests me of preparing him to bring to his work. Since I love pampering him and our tummy, I always do it. I also have come to search for another tuna recipe which I will have to prepare for my beloved in the next following days. I am chasing and been reading a Caribbean-Style Albacore recipe which I plan to cook. I find it good for us because we are into diet.

I can't wait to chase for tuna this coming days to cook this recipe. Ciao...

Suitable Clothing for a Job

The proper clothing or gear does not only make the person more comfortable but also provides the level of protection that the person needs. In certain occupations journey, such as being a fireman or a military person, the proper gear is important. In as much as having access to the firefighting equipment is important the proper protective gear provides the firemen the protection they need as they perform their duty. Wearing protective gears allow the firemen to move more comfortably and gives them the confidence that they will be protected from injuries. Clothing should have to be made like that of Nomex Fabrics that are not only known to have good textile properties but more importantly, should have excellent heat resistance properties. Firemen should use a a suitable protective gear of particular properties and type in order for them to work in a comfortable manner in the firefighting time. The choice of specific fabric woven of Nomex fiber which does not change with frequent laundering is very important. Okay, not only for firemen but all jobs which requires special comfort of suits.

Great fabrics are indeed should have to be very suitable or comfortable for any type of protective garment such as those used by workers in an industrial factory. The thing that military folks should have to use great fabric, is something that I can think of "it must be durable and quality in nature, don't you think? Now, that is something to think of. Smile. :-) The uniforms that the military use during combat should have to be made in the form that do not easily get burned and cracked-up.

Steamed (tinola) Pompano with Lots of Veges

Picture below is a bowl of pompano fish soup with lots of vegetables which apparently you can see it in the middle. The one in the right side fish is the pompano, a kind of fish which is so yummy-delicious for steamed soup. My first time for this fish as made into steamed soup. I am glad my friend P introduced this fish to me and I declare as so delicious for this kind of fish recipe. To go with the fish meat, on the left side is a non-fat brown and white rice {yes, I mixed it. You would surprise how tasty it is when you try it. Try it to taste for yourself. :-) }

I tell you it's so yummy! No cooking oil is present and lots of veges involve, is heaven to me! This picture got a lot of likes of my friends in my Facebook. I don't know if you like this but for sure me and my friends love this fish soup so much. Didn't I tell you that eating vegetables first makes me not crave for rice anymore? If you don't know yet, a meal for me isn't complete without a rice. It seems like it isn't a meal or I did not eat anything. Knowing such would be perfect for diet. Whew! What an awesome find. :-)

Eating Fruits Before a Normal Meal

After a 10 days-detox cleansing diet I had which the ingredients was being given by a good friend Anne, special thanks to her, now a very dear friend (Elaine) too is introducing to me the 30minutes fruits-before-meal routine (I am making a so-called words, but you can see what is it in the pattern). Yes, I am in that current routine though I still drink some sugar-free or Grade B maple syrup-lemons juice. And I tell you, I can see the good effect on it. I was told to eat fruit/s first before 30 minutes to an hour of eating the normal meal. Friend E told me about fruits, but I am also including the vegetables from soup (like steamed fish soups and alike) though the latter is a bit different with fruits since when eating the meal, I ate (or continue to eat) the vegetables first in the fish soup I made and to tell you what, I don't need to eat rice (I am a rice person, I can't eat a meal without rice or else it seems like I am not eating at all. Makes me more crave in that way.) with it after such. What I did the last time since I like to eat the fish and I can't eat the 1/2 cup of rice I had but I can't also eat the fish without rice, I just decrease the volume of rice. So instead of 1/2 cup, I just the 1/4 or 1/8 of it. And my fish craving had been successfully done. At the same time, I had protein (oops! not sure what we can get with the fish meat, correct me if I am wrong)!

So I am so ready for my other set of diet which is this "30 minutes fruits-before-meal" for now. Yay! By the way, did you know that I already lost four-five pounds (4-5 lbs) from my detox cleansing diet for 10 days? Yep, a crash diet. First time ever. :-) Hope to maintain it or loss a bit. :-) (I had other post of it)

Had Fun in my Mayo Cinco Birthday

Yes, four days ago I had my "Forever 25" birthday. I just hide my age in that phrase in quotation mark as you read. Ha! And now, it is my baby love daughter's month day. And minutes from now, I have to get ready to leave to go to church with my friend Te Claudia, whom was not present in my after-day birthday (a day after my birthday) celebration with my friends. My family's celebration was on the day of my natal day. Me and my two friends (one with her family, much thankful she has with them which made it more) were present in one restaurant, Sizzler. I love the idea of being in a serenade. Ha! My first time being serenaded during my birthday. It made my day! The waiters and waitress along with my friends sang along and I was just smiling all the way. I can't thank them more for making it a very happy one. We're just few but very happy. I think I can share you the video which my friend A took. Next time. For now, I have to go on the next round so I can already prepare to go to church, my friend C would have waiting for us with my daughter. Bye for now. Thanks for being here.

DH Cooked Last Night

Being a mommy can be quite overwhelming. Usually, she is dealing with house chores (aside from taking care of the baby) like cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the kitchen and all the areas of the house because a baby's immune system is different with a typical person. You know what an infant's immune system is. She/He can capture something and because an illness in just a snap of our finger's time. So it has to be cleaned, everything. And so while embracing such work, a husband should also has to help.

And that was what my Dear Husband did last night when he got home. Oops, not that complete cook like preparing the stuffs and such. Okay, I did the preparation of the chickens for him to cook. Preparation means washing and cleaning the chicken. I took-off the skins and put some lemons on it so it is flawless. :-) Yep, it needs to take-away the before-skin stuff before preparing for seasonings and flour coating.

Hubby can sense the overwhelming task I have and I am thankful of that. One thing also why he did it because he is asking something. Ha! When he does that, no questions ask for the reward. :-) Happy wifey me! Smiling. :-)

Made Steamed Fish Soups for Already Days as Viand

Whew! Yeah right, it has been days that I am making steamed fish soups as my viands. It has been already aged that I don't like foods that has anything cooking oils on it, most of the time. I mean as it has been cooked. I don't know but that's what my body told me so. And I love it!

By the way, I am making my steps for me to loss weight. So far, it has been five days that I am doing my detox cleansing. Thanks to my friend Anne/Annie for this idea.

And so back to my fish viands, rather steam soups viands. I don't know if you like it that way but for me, I so like it (obviously)! I even thinking of making again now that don't have such in the kettle anymore. Addicting? Nah! My taste coincides to what my goal is, which is to loss some unwanted weight. So good luck to me on this journey. Smile. :-) I am seriously making this do come true. Even if won't get into my target goal, at least I loss some and it's not on the unwanted weight raise "chu-chu" (it is a term) but a progressive weight loss. :-)

After a fun-filled night with friends, you start the drive home. Along your route, you see red and blue flashing lights behind you. Next thing you know, you’re facing a breathalyzer. Of all the tests you take in life, the breathalyzer is one you definitely DO NOT want to fail.

What is a Breathalyzer?
A breathalyzer is a machine created to measure a person’s blood alcohol content (BAC) from a mere puff of breath. Breathalyzer tests are a means to an end for police forces. These devices don’t give a precise BAC amount, but an estimate based on the way alcohol breaks down within the human body. Often times the breathalyzer is given alongside a field sobriety test. It is a preliminary exam used to help officers decide whether or not a DUI arrest is necessary.

What’s the Legal Limit?
In all states, the legal BAC limit is .08 for adults. For teens, many states have adopted laws allowing DUI charges if any alcohol is present during a breathalyzer. This is lower than in the past, but since teens are underage and alcohol-related teen accidents claim so many lives each year, it’s understandable. Many drinkers won’t feel any impairment at this stage. Body weight, food consumption, and metabolism affect how you process alcohol. Most women weighing between 120 and 180 pounds will reach the legal limit after three drinks. Men weighing between 160 and 200 pounds will reach it at only four or five drinks.

What if I Refuse?
Don’t refuse a breathalyzer test. In most states, refusal is the same as admitting guilt. You can’t defend yourself in court well if you’ve basically admitted you were driving drunk. Lower BAC levels detected via a breathalyzer may allow fewer penalties than a refusal.

What Happens if I Fail?

Living Life as It is My Last!

It came into this idea as yours truly is in the point of settling down. Well, after such, actually. I know where I have to stop and being contented of what I have. No more working wise and hard just to attain such goal but rather, making the most of everything I have. I like the idea of "I don't have everything but I am making everything I have" , don't you think this is a great adage? Okay, this is about why should we have to live life as it is the last. As in we just have to enjoy to the fullest. Enjoy the present, never mind the past (just make it as an inspiration and point of idea) and not to worry about the future as the future will worries itself. :-) As in, we just have to fully make what we can do today for the future and it will do its way. Being wise and hardworking would be the key but that is not all about it. Being contented too and knowing where to stop.

It is great to imagine one can think of not worrying of anything because they are doing everything what one can do currently. Now it is the fate to determine the next. Remember that God does wonders and won't leave us in the dark tunnel if we are doing good. HE even won't leave those non-followers, how much more those followers, right?

Alright, we just have to do what is best and God will do the rest. Living life as it is our last makes difference! :-)
