Cinnamon Pumpkin? YES PLEASE!

Meet Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Creamy Body Scrub. Good gravy, it is the most scrumptious thing I have ever smelled. Pumpkin… cinnamon… vanilla….. oh my goodness. I was in heaven. I didn’t smell the apple notes, but maybe I was too intoxicated by the pumpkin. Either way, I found a whole line of products in this amazing scent and I am diving head first in to Fall with them!!! Sorry Summer, but don’t fret, I’ll be back next year!

Even before dinner began, we got the royal treatment!  Our makeup was done with Cinderella-inspired cosmetics from Sephora.  While it won’t actually debut until the Spring of 2013, make sure you are on the look out for the Disney Reigning Beauties Cinderella Collection by Sephora.

I wish I thought to take a photo at the time, but even the eyeshadow pallet cover had Cinderella’s coach on it.  Love!  And did I mention the nail polish?  Look for a set of six coming soon to Sephora by OPI – with colors So Totally Enchanted, Step Off Sister, I Blue My Curfew, Rags to Rhinestones, Self-Maid Millionaire and my favorite Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Pink!  So excited to have these adorable new nail colors.

After our makeup was done, we were shown some beautiful pieces from the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Jewels collection and allowed to pick a bracelet, necklace or pair of earrings.  Each piece was stunning (and so sparkly) … making it a tough choice.  I put on the necklace and felt just like Cinderella.

During dinner, we viewed a special fashion show including not only children’s Cinderella inspired fashions, but even a line for adults!  The Cinderella Fashion Adult top from the Disney Store below was my favorite because of the rhinestone detail.

My newest obsession is the Disney Cinderella tumbler from Tervis.

With an easy-open snap lid, it is large enough to fit ice cubes (holds 24oz!), fits in my truck cup holder and is made so it reduces condensation/sweating on the outside of the tumbler!  I take this everywhere with me now!  Next time you see me at the gym, my Cinderella tumbler will be in tow.  In fact, I took it with me to the YMCA today!

Even Christian Louboutin has come out with a Cinderella inspired shoe that I covet.  Louboutin’s design is made of white lace adorned with crystals and sparkling butterflies – and only 20 pairs of the Cinderella shoes will be produced!  (So figure there will be 19 left after I get mine, OK?)

Disney has outdone themselves for sure with all things Cinderella!  I see a Cinderella holiday season in lots of little girls (and big girls) futures.

The Classic Croc.  Nothing about it screams comfort to me.  Or style.  I said it.  I know that so many people swear by them, love them… but I have just never been able to get on board. Until that is my friend Audrey put together a Crocs party for several bloggers.  Her small boys are always in them and I decided that maybe it was finally time I see what all this Croc business is about.  I knew I needed something different though, the classic would not be for me.   As I looked over the website, I couldn’t help but notice what a selection of styles and colors they had.

Looking over the heels and wedges I found a few cute things, but nothing that specifically called my name.  I generally don’t even do flats (aside from flip flops or sneakers), but once I came across these

and I knew that this was the pair I needed to try.  TheMelbourne II Lace Cabana Stripe.  Color choices were Fuchsia / Oyster as shown above and Sea Foam / Oyster .  I went with the Sea Foam.  I could not believe how incredibly comfortable they are!!!

I can wear them all day – they feel really good!  And I have been totally surprised by all the compliments I have gotten from people about how cute and stylish my shoes are.  People never guess that they are actually Crocs.  While they usually retail for $44.99, they are currently on sale online for just $24.99!  That ladies, is a great deal!

I have been telling my friends that I feel like I crossed over to the dark side… but I like it.  These have completely changed my views about Crocs.  While I will never be the girl in the Classic, I see many more cute pairs like the Melbourne in my future.

Then I got bored with it. While it was a good reference if I was looking for basic medical facts, I always felt like it was missing something. Needless to say I never bothered with those books with the next 3 pregnancies. In fact I turned to online mom groups with pregnancies 3 and 4.

Sacred Pregnancy by Annie Daulter

I recently came across Sacred Pregnancy by Annie Daulter. Annie Daulter is an extraordinary author. You can tell she really put herself into this book to make it the very best it could be. Her attention to detail, consideration to all aspects of pregnancy, and ability to personalize the experience of pregnancy for the reader makes it one the best – and in my opinion the only pregnancy guide any women could need. Only a few pages in and I was already falling in love with this book. It’s so much more than the run of the mill pregnancy books that are filled more with medical facts and a lot of time, misinformation. Although it does mention things like symptoms and what’s happening with your body; it also gets into other aspects of pregnancy such as your body image, your relationship with your spouse, forgiveness and meditation, to name a few. It gives you a different outlook on how you are feeling and what you may be experiencing.

At the end of each chapter there are blank pages where you can record your own experiences – a journal of your pregnancy. What an awesome keepsake is that!

Week 4 - Meditation

Each week, as the book has it broken down to, features topics such as your body, your baby, your spirit as well as reflection, ideas and other topics you won’t find in most other pregnancy guides. Even the titles of each week are unique – cravings, bonding, fear, etc. In addition, the book also includes recipes to help with certain symptoms and ailments, ideas for relieving stress, music to relax to… its incredible. The artwork by Elena Rego & Alexandra DeFurio is absolutely gorgeous and so inspiring. They capture pregnancy in such a beautiful, artistic and natural way.

Week 8 - Body Image

This book takes you on a spiritual journey through pregnancy and empowers you, instead of scaring you and leaving you full of questions like most pregnancy books. I would have loved to have had a book like this when I was pregnant. Whether for yourself or a friend, make Sacred Pregnancy your guide through pregnancy.
