We are proud to announce the release of our first annual report. The report describes the three principles of the Hybrid High School Model and discusses our plans for the future. The Hybrid High School Project has studied several high schools and programs to improve skills over the past three months. Using this research, the concept paper has been revised.

You are invited to join a project headed by Bill Coplin at Syracuse University to develop a detailed plan for a Hybrid High School. You can read a concept paper and sign up to receive e-mail updates from this blog. If you do this, you will be able to join a network of former students in the Policy Studies Program at the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University and colleagues whom I have worked with throughout my career. The blog will be used to communicate developing ideas and to gain comments from members of the network.

The goal is to develop a plan that can be distributed to those interested in starting a new school, or revising an existing high school program. I will be teaching a course this fall that will do all of the necessary research. Your role as a member of the network would be to provide advice and also indicate your support.

Please read the concept paper and provide your reactions under the comment option or in an email to me at wdcoplin@syr.edu. Also, feel free to pass the link to the blog and concept paper on to anyone who you feel would be interested in such a project.
