It’s official!

Some highlights of the beautiful details. Both Natalie and Paul have demanding careers, leaving very little time to plan a wedding. Natalie’s mom, Ingrid, did an impressive job behind the scenes to bring this wedding vision to life!

She and Arthur were enduring a long distance relationship with Weilyn in San Francisco and Arthur in Boston. While we were happy to finally get to meet Arthur, we were even more excited to witness and capture the emotion that came with the two of them being reunited  - even if just for a short weekend. It was so easy for them to forget about being in front of the camera; they were so happy just to be in front of each other :)

We shot in two locations: the Marin Headlands and the Embarcadero. I love the variety in these images – from playful to polished with ease.

This venue was a perfect fit for Heather and Jamie, which was no surprise, since Heather took on the role of planner extraordinaire for her wedding (and did quite a remarkable job)! From the authentic pews that were brought in for the ceremony, to the decadent cakes her mom made by hand (and frosted on location), every last DIY detail was sweet perfection. Even though we were busy shooting, it felt like a mini retreat just spending the day at the ranch with these two.

The next two images beautifully capture the undeniable depth of feeling Jamie has for Heather. We are so fortunate to witness true love like this.

I was lucky enough to be standing next to Cliff under these stars when this image was captured – a surreal moment (and photo) we will never forget.

Janisha and Arthur began their day getting ready at Le Meridien hotel in downtown San Francisco.

For the Baraat, Arthur rode horseback on the streets of the financial district to the Bently Reserve; there was a surge of energy as the crowd joined in the excitement!

If you ever need to be reminded what being in love looks like, simply catch the expressions on Arthur and Janisha’s faces as the ceremony began.


The couple portraits Cliff captured are among my all-time favorites – these two look so good in front of the camera!

I loved how guests sipped on Japanese sake while enjoying a delicious Indian meal, then snacked off a taco truck later in the night :)

We could not wait for their wedding festivities, which took place over two days, with day one taking place at Dunsmuir Hellman House.  A Sangeet is a pre-wedding Indian celebration, with a variety of awesome performances and dancing.  What made the night most interesting was the fusion of Indian and Japanese cultures, reflecting the couple’s heritage. Most of the performances starred family and friends, followed by a mesmerizing belly dancer (although Janisha proved to be fierce competition for her)!

It was a great party – stay tuned for day two :)

Lush green vines surrounded us as we drove up the winding road to the idyllic ceremony site at the very top of hill. The elegant outdoor dinner, with sweeping Sonoma County wine country views, was held at the same spot where John proposed to Julie :) What a treat to have been a part of this amazing day!
