WTH! MySQL Database Errors? BRIG!! What’s up!

That’s a question I’m getting a lot lately. And to be honest I’m not really sure what I can do about it.

Here’s what I can say. When you see that message take solace in knowing we haven’t been compromised. It seems all the help from Bluehost and WordPress from the last time is really helping. (Thanks guys!)

So what’s really going on?

It seems that the Lodge is being hit by BlueHost’s “Throttling Hammer.” Yep, you heard right the dreaded “Throttling Hammer”.

I’m not sure what is the exact cause and am looking into seeing what can be done.

It might be It might be related to a new Wordpress Plug-in that helps with dwnloading and streaming the podcast though the blog.

Or could be just the fact you guys are so AWESOME! and have accessed the RSS Fead for over 10,825 times in the last 72 hrs.

Not to mention accessing the Episode 11 a whopping 4,016 times in the last 72 hours using up 113,214,763KB (yes, KiloBytes) of bandwidth in just 2 days.

I’m not bragging, because Daewin and I are both floored and still in shock that honestly more than a handful of friends listen to us shoot the breeze and chase squirrels each week.

So please, take this as a very sincere and humble thank you. Thanks for making this thing so much fun to do each week.

So we’re looking into the different causes and solutions. I’m reaching out to BlueHost to see what we can do to resolve it. In the meantime, please bear with me as I work on fixing it.

We really should’ve guessed things were going to be off this week when our recording machine decided to crash after playing a bit of Monty Python. Ring out your dead indead. lol

Here’s a reminder that you were suppose to set your clocks back if you lived anywhere in the US with the exception of Arizona. If you live there, well, don’t set your clocks back just remember that at 11pm Eastern/8pm Pacific (I’m pretty sure that will be 9pm in Arizona.) Oh! And for you folks over in the UK? (Yes, Luol just for you.) That should be about 4AM. Anyways here’s hoping everyone has their clocks set back so we can all make it to the show on time.

THL Podcast: Episode 10 – 2 Hunters, 1 Chatroom and loads of bad accents

As we do each and every week, Daewin and I had an awesome blast recording over on Ustream. I’ll have to say that this week was even more special. Why? Glad you asked.

We had Luol visit us from England. We had several first time visitors and of course all of our regulars like Admon, Kharandos, Pattmyn to just name a few. And of course there were squirrels. (We just can’t seem to get rid of the buggers.)

The other reason this was such a super special episode is we had an awesome turnout even though the WoW Podcasts of podcasts, The Instance, just happened to be recording at the exact same time.

I just want to say Thank you! Thanks, for choosing to sit in with Daewin, I and that pesky squirrel instead of doing 1,001 other things, including listening to Scott and Randy over on The Instance.
