ORIGINAL SIN
Jump up dnb giant Original Sin will rock out the main room, after going solo from Generation Dub he’s gone from strength to strength, playing at the biggest raves in the world and producing dancefloor smashers on Hype’s Playaz Recordings. Check out his recent EP ‘Dr Feels Good’. Support comes from Breakz legend Zippy; Tinnitus legend El Mundo; local lad Sweep and Breakz residents Trick and Goatboy.

WALSH
Having been in the dubstep scene from its conception in Croydon, Walsh is the man of the moment with his new label Biscuit Factory Records. The first release is a collaboration with Benga, which demonstrates his skill at producing a surging bassline. An awesome DJ sure to kill the back room, support comes from the Base boys RLM & Rudetone; Herbal Mafia favourites Brothers Grime and resident Sikh & Destroy.

Grooverider rose to fame in the late eighties with partner Fabio, and championed the emerging UK breakbeat culture that eventually split from house and techno to become hardcore. From this developed jungle, and then drum and bass. He is now considered a “godfather” of drum and bass, and his influence on the development of the genre cannot be overstated. Expect a cutting edge set, this man never disappoints.

Supporting we have the best in local drum and bass talent:
BROWNSOUNDZ, SARAH TONIN, GOATBOY, ZIPPY and TRICK.

The back room is a dubstep and mashup zone with some of Herbal Mafia’s finest:

Herbal Mafia brings you a battle of epic proportions featuring York’s finest against their dirty southerners!

First up mashup masters Jethro and Moxx are going head to head in a 2 hour battle – anything could happen here! Then the drum and bass showdown begins with TJ Flux and Zippy against DJ Sauce (Paradigm) and Brownsoundz (ex Tinnitus).

The back room will be host to a producer battle, original tunes only! Brothers Grime will be taking on Goku and Theft from local label Shire Sounds and Albi 1 B will be taking on Loxley aka Royce Rolls of Bombtank. Warming up the back room we have Movement’s very own Bambooman.

There will also be urban and freestyle artists in the chillout area so make sure you check out the talent there too.

Only £3 before 11pm so it’s worth getting down early!

LOGISTICS
Together VIP stormed the scene in 2004 on the renowned Spacejam EP, and since then 3 albums and several releases on Hospital Records have secured Logistics as one of the most respected producers anywhere. His 2006 album ‘Now More Than Ever’ won BBC 1Xtra’s 2007 Xtra Bass award, and he has been described as “bridging the gap between a lacklustre sub-genre, liquid funk, and more exciting, dancefloor orientated drum & bass”. His latest album ‘Crash Bang Wallop’ demonstrates his seriously inventive fusion of new and old school sounds, and we can’t recommend it enough.

BROOKES BROTHERS
Supporting Logistics we have the hugely popular Brookes Brothers, one of the major breakthrough artists of recent years. Pioneering the more recent soulful sound of drum & bass, the brothers have consistently produced quality tunes. Their first release on Breakbeat Kaos was the outstanding ‘Hard Knocks / Mistakes’, which received enormous radio support and was dropped by the biggest DJs everywhere. A string of further quality releases led to the anthemic ‘Tear You Down’, one of the biggest tunes of last year which reached number 1 in the UK dance charts.

He went from making dark garage tunes with Benga at the age of 15 on Fruity Loops to being discovered by Hatcha in Croydon a few years later to being one of the pioneering forces that has changed the course of the UK underground music scene.

His music has made dubstep accessible to mainstream music media particulary with 2005 hit ‘Midnight Request Line’, his Essential mix for BBC Radio 1 in 2007 and his recent remix of La Roux’s ‘In For The Kill’.

Skream has released records on Tempa, Tectonic and Big Apple Records, he hosts a weekly radio show, Stella Sessions on Rinse FM and is probably the most well known dubstep producer in the world.

The next Herbal Mafia is on Saturday 28th November featuring a 3 deck set from Hospital Records’ CYANTIFIC.

Fresh was one of the main men in Bad Company, the drum and bass group that changed the shape of drum and bass with classics like ‘The Nine’ and ‘Planet Dust’. Since then his solo career has gone from strength to strength after forming the legendary ‘Breakbeat Kaos’ label with Adam F (Pendulum, Baron, Chase & Status, Brookes Brothers, Nero).
