Farm Fresh to You posted a lovely promo video of their Second Saturday farm tour events they host in the Spring and Summer months. What band has eight thumbs and has a cameo in this video?

Loreen owns the Riverwood Inn in Phillipsville. Shes not hot about Cal-Trans’ building a new road through the old growth forrest there (neither are we). And it’s best not to mess with Loreen.

Last week we got a last minute call to open for Billy Joe Shaver at the Palms in Winters. You know, just your usual last minute call to open the show for a country music legend.

This is a great family friendly event. Bring a picnic, ride a tractor, dance to some music all in the picturesque Capay Valley.

Hi folks, we’ve officially awoken from our winter hibernation, and are ready to kick things back into gear. We played our first show of 2010 last night and debuted a few new songs. We’re working on our plan for the year and have some good ideas in the works.

Our PA (or public address system, as we lovingly refer to it) caught fire recently. Yeah, huge amounts of billowing, electric smelling smoke poured from its every orifice one evening before a rehearsal. Repair? Replace? Upgrade? Those are the questions. How do you want to hear the Bottom Dwellers?

You know what? Radio doesn’t actually suck. We have three great stations in the Sacramento valley that play fantastic independent music or all types, including plenty of Bottom Dwellers. KDVS, KVMR, and KXJZ to name names. Start tuning in and find new music.

Wednesday night we were awarded a Sammies Readers Choice Award for Outstanding Country/Bluegrass Band at the Sacramento Area Music Awards.

For those of you who werent able to attend the Sammies Country/Bluegrass showcase the other week, Its pichers! Its almost like you were there, only quieter. 

You really do like us! The Bottom Dwellers have been nominated for the 2007 Sammies, and were all atwitter with delight. Chris, Ivan, Adam and I offer our generous and humble thanks to the dear readers of the Sacramento News & Review and to our esteemed Bottom Dwellers diehards who put your two cents where your mouth is.

One of the lesser known facts about the Bottom Dwellers, is that our drummer brews beer. And not just any beer, mind you. He brews exceptionally great beer. Beer that you would most readily choose in place of anything on the shelf at your local boutique grocery. And now theres proof! 

What do you call a musical group consisting of an NGO project manager, ex-punk rocker, high school teacher, and a multi-media designer that just piled out of a blue propanefueled passenger van? Answer: The Bottom Dwellers, a new country act out of Yolo County, Ca., whose cut, "Company Truck" was recently featured on NPRs Car Talk. 

The Bottom Dwellers are my new favorite country act in town. This CD is ample proof of why that is. Eighteen tracks of country tinged by the demon rock and roll.
