An old friend of mine called me up and asked if I was interested in shooting holiday pictures of her and and her son Trent – they are both so adorable I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve known Cherie for years now, she was my neighbor -turned-roommate, back when we both lived in Austin, and somehow we both ended up here in the Dallas | Fort Worth area.
Cherie and Trent brought along a super fun couple, Crystal and Adam, who also wanted to get some holiday pictures. Both sessions also brought their adorable pups!
We wandered around McKinney for an hour or so.. here’s just a preview of what we got!!

Since Valerie second shoots for Blue Sunshine Photography, It was no secret that I was going to force her to let me do her maternity pictures. We started at her house, here in Fort Worth while we waited for her husband to get home, then we walked around Downtown Burleson for a while. She looks so pretty with her big belly! We can’t wait to see Chase ( and do newborn pictures ) in December!

Misty and Jeff | Dallas Trash the Dress Photographer

Saturday was a busy day for Andy and myself. After the Tea Ceremony in Irving, we had a baby shower in Keller, and ended the evening with a WONDERFUL family in Fort Worth. Lourdes, Santos, and their little girl were a pleasure to photograph. Lori and Dat | Irving Tea Ceremony Photographer

Andy and I met up with Lori and Dat the morning of their wedding to photograph their Tea Ceremony at Lori’s parent’s house.
At traditional Chinese weddings, Tea Ceremony is an equivalent of exchange of vows at a western wedding ceremony. This official ritual is still widely practiced at modern Chinese weddings on the wedding day, either at home or at the reception.

We really enjoyed watching this wedding tradition happen and were able to get some wonderful photographs of the tea ceremony and of Lori getting ready for both the tea ceremony and the church ceremony.

Mary and John Rehearsal | Dallas Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mary and John to photograph their rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
They were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. It’s a beautiful Catholic Church on Kenwood Drive, here in Dallas, Tx.
After the rehearsal Mary and John had their dinner with family and friends at Sambuca on 2120 McKinney Ave! Very cool place! The flowers and decorations looked AMAZING- and John’s cake was one of the coolest grooms cake I’ve ever seen!
It was so nice meeting you guys- Congrats to you both! Enjoy St. Lucia!

{ The beautiful outdoor ceremony took place at the historic Heard Craig house in McKinney. It’s has a beautiful garden for an outdoor wedding.
The reception was at Rick’s Chophouse in Downtown McKinney! It was awesome!
Rick’s had a private dining room that was beautifully decorated that awaited the newlyweds and their guests. }

So, through the process of booking us as your photographer for your wedding, photographing your engagements, more than likely getting some beautiful bridals done, and all the emails we send back and fourth ( either to plan your sessions or just to say “hello ) we get to know you pretty well! And we like that. We especially like when we can see your personality as a couple in your wedding details ( from the colors, the cake, to the way you make your getaway!! )
Justin and Denise are a wonderful example of showing their personality during their wedding celebration! They shocked us and their wedding guests with “The Evolution of Dance” as their first dance! It was AWESOME!! They were fantastic! Here just a few of the highlights of the dance- Check out the rest here!

Chad and Meredith- Dallas Engagement Photographer

Once again, Chad and Meredith! We had so much fun with them we had to show you more.

they may not like this one too much.. I had to post it though, I love when engagement pictures are FUN!

So, when we sent out our "getting to know you" email to this lovely couple, Chad mentioned that he liked photography and joked that Meredith had a new hobby of collecting Bridal Mags! We thought this would be a fun shot, and I really like the way it turned out! I also grabbed a vintage camera out of my collection and let Chad and Meredith play for a little bit! Super fun!
