The Green Energy Act came into effect a very short time ago here in Ontario, Canada. Green has not only become super trendy, it really is becoming and morphing into a way of life for many. It has become more apparent and more important for all of us across the world to incorporate green living into our lives as we need to repair and save our Earth. The future, at times, looks bleak. We need to pull it altogether and show we care. Green is definitely a mutual connection for all of us.

It has been difficult to watch the demise of industry & its jobs here in Ontario as many people have steadily relied on such work for a very long time. The same holds true across the world. Green collar work gives many a new opportunity and while providing income, also educates the green collar worker about all the right things needed to be done in order to be green.

In Toronto, a small but powerful company called Village Technologies is currently making strides in the green world. With a recent trip to Pennsylvannia to visit City & State Officials to discuss greening up 900 abandoned homes and solar hot water heating systems for their pools, Village Technologies knows its stuff when it comes to saving on energy bills, and greening up your buildings. Breast Cancer and Raising Awareness

Please visit the above link to view a photograph that is being exhibited with Photosensitive in association with the Canadian Cancer Society. This is an awesome honour to be asked to submit my work. I had the opportunity to work with breast cancer survivors, painting women with mastectomies and surgeries and I learned how valuable and precious life is. These women were shining examples of what it means to love life.

Take a look at the photos in the whole exhibition. These photos will be touring around Canada for the next 1.5 years in different cities. Thank you to all those who participated.

Cancer Connections launches at Victoria Park, Regina, Saskatchewan, at 12.30pm on Wednesday June 10.
The exhibition will be showing there until June 28. Then July 15 marks the launch of Cancer Connections at the Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where it will be showing until August 5.

Other cities to be visited this year are:

King Square, St John, New Brunswick, August 19 - September 3.

Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, September 10 - 27.

St John's Newfoundland (venue to be confirmed) October 6 - 25.

In 2010, we will be going to Vancouver, British Columbia; Calgary, Alberta; and Ottawa, Ontario.
