Cycling with hubby

I'm back of cycling again after months of resting *wink*. Well, I'm not so fond of cycling when it's cold weather, but now the temperature is above 15 degrees, then for me that's already a nice time to cycle. I cycle mostly with hubby or my brother-in-law because I don't have the guts to cycle all alone. I admit, I don't have much confidence to cycle alone especially in the crowded area. Aside from that, we live close to the centrum, so if I get my bike in the storage room, then I guess it's the same time if I start walking from home to the centrum. But today we cycle a little bit far, farther than I thought. From home going to haagse bos (forest), then to Wassenaar and to Voorburg to visit my friend's house. We took a break there for about 45 minutes, then we went home. Overall that we cycle for today was about 16 kilometers, phuuuu...Now my legs hurt,, muscle pain strike me.

Friend's house visit

I don't have many friends here in NL but I'm happy that I have a few friends that I can count on. I prefer being like that, rather than having many friends and you even didn't know if they are really true friends. When I'm free, then I sometimes spent time with my friends either we do shopping, having dinner or just visiting their house and just hang out together.

Anyway, a week ago when I visited the house of my friend, I saw their old casio keyboard. It's a coincidence because two days before I've been in her house, I just saw that casio keyboards at the internet. I was searching for that because I'm planning to save on casio keyboards. Yes! I'm in the mood of learning on how to play the keyboard again. Actually, this is the second time that I try to learn, the difference was, I'm in the NL now and not in PH, LOL.

Early breakfast @ IKEA

Since it's holiday here in NL, hubby and I decided to go to IKEA to buy some stuff that we need. It came to our mind also that since we go there, then we can also eat the 1 euro breakfast at the restaurant of Ikea. It was indeed cheap the 1 euro breakfast, as you can see in the picture above. Since hubby and I don't drink coffee or tea, then we bought our own chocolate milk.

Anyway, hubby was having fun with it but not me. I only ate croissant and drink the chocolate milk. The rest I don't like it, even the boiled egg.

His bday celebration

It's my brother-in-law birthday today, so we had a small family gathering with some snacks and dinner. Since I'm into cake baking, I made a funny birthday cake for him *wink*. I'm glad that he likes it. Mostly I baked moist chocolate cake but since they often complain that they had enough chocolate cake already, so I made this vanilla chiffon cake. In between the cake I put strawberry jam. They said it's delicious but I find it not because I don't like strawberry and I don't like chiffon cake. So I just watch them while they were enjoying every bite of their cake.

While they were having fun with their cake, then I took time to do some surfing through the internet until I find fast cd duplication. It just came into my mind that a month ago, hubby's friend asked him about this fast cd duplication.

Oh, oh, oh..what can I say in this movie, hmm...the best. It's a long movie but story line was perfect, special effects were amazing and there some part that you would laugh. I just loved Iron Man 3 and I can't wait to have that in DVD...

Time check : it's now 8:04 pm and hubby still taking a nap, hmm.... He was tired when he came home today, so now he is charging because tonight it's going to be a long night I guess. Well, depends on what kind of activities we see later at the centrum. It's Queen's night, so a lot of live band music and other activities that we can see. Last year we were there too but it's bad weather, so we find it not so interesting to stay longer but today, seems like it's okay, as long there is no rain.

I had a delicious lunch at my friend's house yesterday. We had three different kind of foods such as friend chicken, ham and some chicken soup with coconut milk on it. While she was cooking, I informed her in advance that I want to take a picture for the final result but like always, we talk a lot, so I forgot. I just remembered when we were done eating our lunch. Well, too bad or else I have something to share, so better luck next time *wink*. I always visit her house anyway, so there are still many chances.

Though I'm inside the house but still I can hear the sound of the wind. The sun is shining so bright only it's too windy, so much better to stay home and continue my jewelry making project *wink*. I'm just in the mood of making it, so I grab the chance while I'm whole day free. I'm afraid also that maybe if I go out, then I'm blown by the wind, LOL. Anyway, have a nice day!

I lost my necklace

I felt sad that my 5 year old silver necklace was gone a week ago. I remembered that I wore it on that day but when I'm at work, I just noticed that it's not on my neck anymore. It's one of my favorite necklace because the pendant was cute. A flower with some glitter on it. I tried to search same kind of pendant here at the centrum but I can't find. Anyway, this was the third time that I lost a jewelry and I hope this will be the last. The two previous jewelries that I lost were both earrings, gold and silver.

Lack of materials

Few months to go then it's already summer time. I cross my fingers that we have a nice sunny summer this year. I can't wait to feel and embrace the sunny weather.

Anyway, since summer season is almost approaching, it just came into my mind the idea of making a new jewelries using Swarovski beads. So two days ago I decide to stay home, then I can spend time making some jewelries but sad to know that my golden wire was totally empty and I even didn't notice it. Though I have enough swarovski beads but the wire I used was still import from Philippines. I saw some wire here at the hobby store but it's different from the one I used. So I just see if my sister can send me those special wire and I hope it arrives here before summertime *wink*.

Blue Orchids

"Of course you like that orchids because its blue", that's what hubby said to me when we were at the flower shop. He knows that I'm a blue fanatic, well, it's my all time favorite color since I was a kid and until now still it didn't change.

Anyway, we were at the flower shop because I wanted to buy beautiful flowers for my mother-in-law. But these blue orchids really caught my attention. It's so rare for me to see this kind of orchids, so I bought it for her and I'm glad that she likes it *wink*.

My new haircut

Every time I cut my hair, I always said to hubby that I will stop using some hair clip but I always failed, LOL. Since I was high school, I got used to it already that I have some clip on my hair or creating some hair style on my hair. My hair will stay normal only before I go to bed, then hubby always encourage me that I try to go out in the house without anything on my hair. He sometimes removed my hair clip at home while we were watching TV, but in a few minutes, I put it back again.

Last week, I cut my hair again and hubby directly said to me that I can maintain my hair only for one week and after that, I'm back to my old style again, LOL. I tried to break that record, in fact it's the eight days already that I went out without anything on my hair, yahooo!!. At first it was a bit annoying and feels some itchy on my face every time the wind blows. I even got a neck pain because I'm too conscious on my hair haaaa. It's a little bit OA (over acting )but it's the truth. I really tried to change but it doesn't mean I forget my old hair style, I still do that but not every day *wink*.

Yummy mango float

Finally, I got a chance to make this yummy mango float. I've been longing to eat this month ago but I never got a chance to buy some sweet mangoes. I had luck that the toko store here in the centrum sell sweet mangoes that almost taste like Philippine mangoes. So without any hesitation, I bought it and directly made mango float. It feels relieve after I ate the mango float, it's like for weeks I kept thinking about and now I finally eat it.

I'm glad that the package (balikbayan box ) that we sent to the family has a tracking number. Upon checking it now, I know it already where it is. I know it still takes weeks that it reach there but it's a feeling that you know where your package is, then I feel secured with it. I guess that's one of the advantages of having a tracking number, it's convenient for customers like me.

Anyway, one thing that we put in our package was the hypoallergenic dog beds for the two dogs at home, namely Chow-chow and Jordan. My younger sister and brother kept asking me this already, so finally it's now on their way.

Actually, this picture was taken a few weeks ago before our balikbayan box was picked up here at home. We got the biggest box (XL) just to make sure that our pasalubong will fit in. Well, one of the pasalubong is my hubby, LOL. He fits perfect in the box and he even tried to close the box haaa. I just can't help it but to laugh. Well, this is also the cheapest way to travel to the Philippines, LOL.

While checking my facebook, one of my relatives was uploading this picture. It flashback me the time when I was still in the Philippines. These were the snacks that I sometime ate, in fact, I know where my cousin bought these yummy dessert because it's the same fast-food where I sometimes visit. Watching these yummy foods make me hungry, phuu..I wonder when I can eat these pinoy snacks again.

These were the foods that we ate during our friends visit at Karen's house in Capelle aan den IJssel. We were only three people but we had so many yummy foods. We just miss eating this kind of dish, so luckily Karen can cook so well. We had a wonderful time, aside that we ate a lot, we also talked a lot, LOL. Another reason that we visited her is to see her newly born baby, namely Riv.

These were the foods that we ate during our weekend bonding. As our Saturday lunch, we both ate beef steak with some french fries and mix vegetables at Argentinos restaurant in Amsterdam. As dinner came, it wasn't a plan to eat pork tenderloin but we end up there because we were at Amstelveen already. So we decide to eat at the restaurant after playing bowling. Sunday morning, we got free breakfast at the hotel and as our lunch we ate at the Hema which was located at the shopping center of Amstelveen. I took grilled salmon with some fries while hubby took sate with some fries on it. It was a great weekend with a lot fun and many yummy foods that we ate.

Hubby and I were planning to stay at Grand Hotel Amstelveen last year but due to some bad weather and also conflict of plans then it never happened. Luckily two weeks ago, we finally made it to stay in this hotel. The place Amstelveen has not much things to do, in fact we explore more in Amsterdam because it only takes about 30-40 minutes by public transportation. Anyway, the hotel looks fancy and elegant inside. We have a nice room with a big flat screen TV, big bed, tub, shower, toilet and etc. Next in the hotel is the bowling alley that we enjoy it and of course a cozy restaurant where hubby and I ate our dinner.

Whole week free but busy

I'm whole week free from work but busy with other things *wink*. In other words, I'm almost fully occupied with other commitments with family and friends. Well, I enjoy it rather than doing nothing or just sitting at home. Monday was always a busy day for me because that's our (me & my mother-in-law) ironing schedule at home. Tuesday I hang out with my bro-in-law, he took a day off just to accompanied me for our Leiden day out. And today Wednesday, hubby took a day off also to accompanied me for our day out. We had a few lists of plan but since the weather still cold, so we end up shopping at Rotterdam. Tomorrow, supposedly I meet a friend too but since she is busy, so we cancelled the plan. Well, I make another plan just to make myself busy. I will be cooking tomorrow for our dinner, pheeww...the fourth times that I will be cooking after 1.6 years living here in NL haaaa. Friday, I will be meeting my other friend here in the centrum. Saturday, hubby and I will be going to Amstelveen and will be staying overnight at Grand Hotel Amstelveen. Sunday afternoon, we are back home and all tired, for sure we go to bed early because the next day back to work again.

Busy cooking and talking

During the surprised dinner of my friend, my other friend and I were busy cooking the foods. We were in the kitchen because we were busy preparing our dinner, so while cooking, we were also busy talking. While the men were in the living-room, talking, having some drinks and waiting for the dinner.

Anyway, when we were back home, I asked hubby what they were talking while they were in the living room. He said many things and even about churches. He said that one man shared that in their church they had this premium american made church chair. Hubby has no idea about it on how it looked, so we directly check it through the internet. Well, it looks fancy and elegant.
