I should probably get this printed in an A0 format and hang it in front of my desk, just to remind me this'll all be over soon and I get to relax. SOON!

This is what's actually going on. I'm such a cliché, I KNOW, posting pics of my books? Jeez. I'll probably replace this by a picture of a dancing cat or something when my mind's straight.

My sincerest apologies to anyone I have yet to get back to (seriously. So sorry). My mailbox is flooding and I have no idea where to start. I hope you'll all be patient for a little while longer (june 28th to be exact, yikes!)I promise I'll make it up to you all.

In the meantime, hit the sidebar (I tend to update twitter/instagram/SVPPLY/etc when I have a spare minute), I won't be gone completely!

PAPER & CHAIN

I really hope most of you didn't notice I haven't blogged in 39 days (...oops), but what can I say, real life caught up with me? So anyway, this post's long overdue, meet Paper & Chain!

I got myself the Brass Vega studs (TREAT YO SELF! - no worries if you didn't get the Parks & Rec reference) and have been wearing them on/off for the past 3 weeks (well that's how long overdue this post is).
Paper and Chain is designed by the lovely Ismay (check out her awesome blog!) and Naomi. Because their designs are all handmade it does take a little while before your order is sent out, but let me tell you: it's worth the wait. Don't know if I've ever gotten so many compliments on my earrings before (granted, I don't wear earrings that often, but still).

I've been following Karla Spetic since her very first collection and she keeps surprising me every time I see pictures of her latest collection popping up. This time (this is her AW 12 collection), she put together a lovely colour palette of her usual pastels (peach, light blue, cream) together with bright yellow & red - added bonuses are the leopard print and Roy Lichtenstein reproductions!
I'm loving the flowy organza skirts as well. They're not that wearable (unless you don't mind walking around showing off your granny pants), but fantastic nonetheless.

I couldn't help myself so I put together a little oufit featuring one of her dresses, when you're done drooling over these pastels, scroll down to see the lookbook!

I don't know about you, but I love a good necklace or bracelet. And THESE by Alyssa Norton are good, very very good. Simple yet colourful & fun... Did I mention they're silk & sterling silver? Yes way.

By the way... aren't these pics amazing? All credits go to LN-CC for that. I like how their creatives are always so 'editorial-like' and not just 'webshop' (if you know what I mean). So yes, bonus points for that, LN-CC! (oh as if I didn't love you guys enough already!)

So, I've talked to you guys about french brand Ysterike before and well, here I am once again.
Short introduction in case you're just tuning in: Ysterike is designed by lovely French lady Sarah Lespagnol, key words for her collections are sweet & cute, playful, colourful, ... You get the point.

So what's new? Well, it seems Ysterike is doing great! Her latest collection just arrived and is - in my oppinion - her best one yet. PLUS, there are a few new international stockists(!), I don't think I have to introduce you guys to Pixie Market, right? Check out more stockists here (Opening Ceremony NYC & LA are also on the list, pretty impressive for a small French brand that's only a few seasons old if you ask me...). I think a CONGRATS is in order!

Personal favourites are the little Chloé dress (the peter pan collar/col claudine & triangular opening in the front one) and the pink blouse/liberty print skirt combination. Oh yes, and err...e-shop's right over here guys ;)

Niels Peeraer only graduated from the renowned Antwerp Academy of fine Arts last summer (piling up the awards & prizes on the go) and there seems to be no stopping him. Take a look at his latest collection, "the lotus and the snake, the curse of the white fox". Beautifully designed accessories in natural coloured leather: handbags, bracelets, an amazing head piece etc. I'm swooning over that little handbag (and every other piece).

If you're in Paris for PFW, be sure to drop by the Ra Showspace (rue de la corderie, 14), from march 1st-4th to see his work!

It's been way too long since I've featured another photographer on here (well I guess that's what you get for not blogging for so long), so without further ado, I present you Kevin Hsia.

Kevin's based in Chicago, shoots analog only (and shoots it well if I might add) and I think you all need to see these.
Below you'll find a set of pictures from 2 collections, the first few are from a hiking trip in Colorado - some breathtaking landscapes that make you want to pack your backpack and leave on a hiking trip yourself - and the second part are from a trip to France - Paris & Versailles to be more exact. I haven't been to Versailles in wintertime but the picture of the gardens covered in snow is kind of magical.

I don't know about you but I've been pretty amazed by Givenchy these past few seasons (and I'm sure I've mentioned it one time too many already, sorry). The prints of the new season are as amazing - maybe even better than - last season's and if you haven't seen them yet, check them out now.

Good news if you're up for some Givenchy in your wardrobe this summer by the way, LN-CC is now stocking the brand as well! I'm sure they'll have a great selection of items as is the case with all their other brands. For now there's only a bag or 2 and this (amazing!) scarf available, but more is coming soon:) Pretty COOL, right?!

With a little bit of a delay, I give you the last 2 parts of this year's Advent Calendar...
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas, I know I did!

So let me tell you about this Swedish perfume brand Byredo. Some of you might know it, but in case you don't, here's a short intro.
Byredo is the project of Indian/Canadian-Swedish born Ben Gorham, a fine arts graduate who decided he'd rather create fragrances than paintings. What ensued can be seen below: a high-class perfume brand (that in some way reminds me of Le Labo, another one of those high-class perfume brands that doesn't feel that commercial as most perfumes do these days); 16 perfumes so far (17 if you count in the one he created for the Acne AW10 show - yes, 1 perfume, just for that night!); scented candles and body care as well, in short: everything to make your life smell good.

This one in particular, Palermo has top notes of bigarade and sicilian bergamot, a heart of fresh musks and rose absolute and base notes of skin musks and ambrette flower. Sounds divine, doesn't it?

Tune of the day: not a tune, but an entire short film! (No worries, it's only 6 minutes long). This is "Mourir auprès de toi" (To die by your side), a collaboration between Olympia Le-Tan and genius Spike Jonze (easily one of my favourite directors).
