OSLO (Mareeg) – Somali refugees in Norway on Tuesday said they are complaining that they have huge problems that they have with Norwegian authority, we are law abiding people we have respect for system but the system is not protecting us. Our children have been taken away with the help of police. We have gone to the court about a particular child that have taken by social service , the judge has said that there is nothing I can tell you on your case, we live in apartheid country said warsame one of demonstrators

A spokes person for Somali people in Norway Ahmed Mohamed Dirshe confirm that Somali refugees there, held demonstrations rallies denouncing some Norwegian nationals bothering Somali women in the country.

Mr. Dirshe stated when Somali women had given birth their children are taken away, without no reason given, adding that is why they are holding rallies.

He went on to say that Somalis have several times imparted letters of complaint to the authorities of the country they live in.

He said that Norway had turned a deaf ear about their calls and complaints.

Recently, a Somali woman said that her children were taken away by the government of Norway after she was accused of rebuking her toddlers.
Wednesday, April 15, 2011

The current and the former UN Envoys to Somalia

The naivety of many African diplomats comes to light whenever they're named as envoys for conflict-wracked countries in the continent. They fail to resist western powers' ambitions, which are, in essence, to stir up more problems than getting solutions so as they achieve long term political and economical strategies.

It happened when Mauritanian Ahmed Ould Abdallah was named as the U.N. envoy for Somalia in 2007.
It happened again last year when another African, a Tanzanian, was named as the new envoy for Somalia.
Ould, in the process of serving his masters, created more animosities and problems for Somalis: al-Shabab, Ethiopian-trained militiamen, Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama and proliferation of regional states.

I don't want to divulge into each case of African envoys whose mission went awry, but will focus more on Ould, as he is known among Somalis, and the current already pathetic one, Mahiga.
With his Muslim background and good Arabic, many thought Ould Abdallah was the right person to haul Somalia out of its current mess.

He had every opportunity to make his mission a success - that is if he wanted to utilize it: Ethiopia was occupying Somalia, and Islamists and nationalists were trying to evict its forces, but no side was able to dislodge the other; AMISOM was already in the country after being authorized by the Ethiopian-pushed African Union in January 2007; Abdullahi Yusuf, who made his core job to pick up fights with his prime ministers, lost his steam and was waiting to be replaced by any serious leader.

In a word, Somalia had at least three main problems in 2007-8: Ethiopia's occupation, AMISOM's unsolicited presence and ineffectual government.

Simply put, Somalia had the best opportunity to return to the commity of nations, effective and healthy, in 2007-2008 than it had been all previous years since 1991.

But unfortunately Ould squandered every opportunity that came his way and ended his term unceremoniously. I don't think any Somali evens bother to know about where the man now lives. Unfortunately, though, the man did not leave before deepening further Somalia's problems and creating many more intriguing ones.
During his tenure, al-Shabab became the most powerful armed group in the country and spread its influence to much of southern and central Somalia.

Instead of understanding the conundrum that was Somalia under occupation and a failed government. He set out to split the only coherent opposition group that was based in Asmara, Eritrea. He actually splintered it into two.

Ould ran away with Sheik Sharif and Sharif Hassan, rushed Djibouti peace talks and finally came up with another failed administration with little grass roots support. The Mauritanian man's most memorable achievement, if any, was the current cumbersome 550 MPs. Were we fools when we accepted that number? Regret is Satan's work, but the whole idea of adding more members of parliament to an already mostly illiterate house rings hollow, shallow and ill-advised.

Every sane person understood the risk of a ballooned parliament, but Ould cared more about serving his masters than leaving a legacy.

Like every puppet, he was used and dumped. He is gone! Poor him, even he could not get a second term for a 'job well done.' God will award him with what he deserves.

Abdallah is also remembered for his foolhardy attempt to reach out to Somalis in the Diaspora. He was once in Minnesota to lecture them on what needs to be done. Poor him!

Now another poor Augustine Mahiga is repeating the same mistakes - mistakes in the eyes of common observers and Somalis - but good action plans for someone God has blinded his mind's eyes, like Mahiga.
Can anyone in the world explain why Mahiga decided to call for a high level meeting on Somalia in Nairobi, Kenya, when the very Somali government he claims he supports was against it?
Here I quote Tuesday statement by Somalia's Cabinet :
"Clearly, the current consultation meeting in Nairobi taking place 12 and 13 April 2011, was initiated and organized by UNPOS in direct opposition to the views and proposals of the TFG, which were repeatedly submitted to UNPOS and IC.

The TFG and other Somali stakeholders had no input in the preparation of the concept, content or the agenda of the Nairobi meeting. Given that, this is meant to be both consultative and a reconciliation meeting for Somalis, we believe it contravenes both the spirit, the Charter and Djibouti peace agreement.
In addition, the Somali people have demonstrated repeatedly their opposition to the meeting both internally all parts of Somalia and externally across the Diaspora.

The delegation currently participating in the Nairobi meeting led by the Speaker of the parliament has no mandate or authority from the Council of Ministers or the parliament. On the contrary, both have demonstrated publicly and privately to the Speaker their clear rejection to participate. This has included presentation of a motion signed by over 100 members of the parliament (MPs) that was presented to the Speaker, which he decided to ignore.

Given the above, this participation is contrary not only to the policy of state but could potentially damage the interest of the nation as it could lead to potential fragmentation of national institutions. We therefore, condemn this act and call upon the delegation to withdraw from its on-going participation. We also call upon the Somali people and their representatives in parliament to reject and condemn this act in equal measure."
But see the thinking of Mahiga in his latest statement issued Wednesday:
"This is a meeting of Somalis. The international community fully recognizes that it is the
Somalis who hold the fate of their country in their hands, I am only the facilitator of this
meeting and I have used my good offices as mandated by the Djibouti Agreement to try
and bring all the parties together to share information and experiences," Mahiga said.
Can anyone be of any help to get us the Djibouti agreement to understand the argument of Mahiga. I doubt he read that agreement in full.

Honestly, I liked the way the P.M. Farmajo and President Sheik Sharif have slighted him. He actually deserves more humiliations because he acts like he rules Somalia.
Part of his uninspiring press release reads:
"Mahiga said that he had held a number of extensive preliminary face to face consultations, in Mogadishu and within the region, with all key members of the Somali peace process including the President and Prime Minister of the Transitional Federal Government, to share his concept and agenda for the talks. Whilst it is regrettable that the TFG is not here, I have assured both the President and Prime Minister that this is an information sharing exercise between the TFIs, the Somalia States, regions and ASWJ. I hope the conclusions will help inform future substantive meetings.

How calls the shots here, Somalis?

I don't quite understand what makes Mahiga think that Somalia's weak government is not worth its salt even when it depends on the support of the world to survive in the face of al-Shabab? Does he believe that he is the official president of Somalia, and Sheik Sharif and Mohamed Framajo are just his foot soldiers?
Mahiga will regret his decision and I don't believe that he will succeed in his endeavor to prolong Somali crisis by holding more pointless meeting in Nairobi and elsewhere.

Have any one of you read a statement by Mahiga about the devastating drought across the country? Does that mean he does not care about Somalis, the very people he says he is working for its well-being? Mahiga drinks politics, fruitless sorties to Mogadishu and lots and lots of tasteless statements.

Are the Tanzanians so devoid of creativity and humor to an extent they don't appreciate Somalia's culture, which is rich in everything that makes a human being cry and laugh at the same time.
I would wait Somalis to submit jokes about Mahiga - just to show him how wise, learned and humane we are. (send them, seriously, and the best will win a handsome prize.)

Mahiga should know that we kill each other, yet we love each other. Can he check that fact for himself by talking to the real people, not hang-overs around him.
But sadly, the fact is, the Tanzanian diplomat is doing the job he was appointed to do by his masters: To create more problems for Somalis. The Nairobi gathering is nothing but part of that scheme. Be aware, Somalis!

But I wanted to know what the Somalis -- especially the highly educated people in Farmajo's government - are doing to beat back Mahiga. It is my hope that they are mulling over plans to wean the TFG or the SR if you will (short for Somali Republic) off this senseless foreign intervention whose only aim is to undermine the very government it claims to be supporting.

There is a lot of ways to skin a cat, but Farmajo and Sharif need to skin the so-called international community. (Take care, Somalis! those who made Somalia a livelihood project are reading these lines and will try everything to prolong our problems)

Skinning the IC should start with forming a solid, interest-free relationship between Sheik Sharif and Farmajo and good working relationship between the parliament and the government. The outside thugs - I mean the so-called international community - will always try to stir up more tensions among Somalis, but I'm happy to say that since Farmajo was appointed as our country's P.M. a lot of things has changed.

The government has started to act like a government despite the enormous challenges facing it, chief among them Mahiga's attempt to undo its recent security successes to restart things afresh, so as problems continue to recur and buildup.

The rest of what I wanted to say in public can be worked out behind closed door sessions at the presidential palace in Mogadishu. My final point is: Farmajo and Sheik Sharif should teach Mahiga and his cohorts a lesson he will not forget. Lesson One: Should be about how Somali can live without him and the cliché of international community, exactly like other conflict-ravaged countries did. source Hiiraan
Wakefield

NEW YORK-Mareeg.com – The shootings of United States Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and
others in Arizona last month are but the latest in a series of mass shootings in the
US in which the (alleged) perpetrator suffered from an apparent mental disorder.
Predictably, the Arizona tragedy has elicited calls for policy changes. But what, if
anything, should be done differently?

The vast majority of severely mentally disordered individuals are not violent.
Predicting which few without a prior history of violence will become violent is
almost impossible. At the same time, proposals to protect society from the
dangerously mentally ill pose basic civil-liberties issues.

A Russian reporter, Andrei Sitov, raised this question when he asserted at a White
House press conference that American freedom was complicit in the Arizona shootings:
“As to why – it does not seem all that incomprehensible, at least from the outside.
It’s the reverse side of freedom. Unless you want restrictions, unless you want a
bigger role for the government...This is America, democracy, freedom of speech,
freedom of assembly, the freedom to petition your government. And many people
outside would also say the ‘freedom’ of a deranged mind to react in a violent way is
also American.”

President Barack Obama’s press secretary answered defensively that American values
do not endorse violence. That is true, but irrelevant. The question is whether
American values favoring individual rights somehow facilitated the Arizona tragedy.
After all, rates of severe mental illness are about the same across the developed
world, yet the US seems to have more such shootings than do other countries.

One freedom-related suggestion is that the US needs stricter laws that keep guns out
of the hands of the mentally ill. But the alleged shooter had never been formally
diagnosed as mentally ill, so such targeted laws would not have prevented him from
obtaining a gun. General gun control is essential, but unlikely for now.

The US also needs more accessible mental-health services. Although his college
demanded professional evaluation before he would be allowed to return, the suspect
in the Arizona shootings, it seems, failed to seek help from Tucson’s available
services. Unlike those with physical illnesses, mentally ill individuals often are
unaware – even vehemently deny – that they have a problem, thus forgoing treatment
and losing desperately needed disability benefits.

Many colleges have increased monitoring of students’ odd behavior by
threat-assessment teams. But such mass screening is notoriously ineffective in
predicting violence, often yielding enormous numbers of misidentified threats. For
example, psychiatric screening for suicide risk in one New York high school
identified 44% of the student body as being at risk. Similarly, screening for loose,
eccentric thinking yields mostly individuals who never become psychiatrically
disordered.

In the months before the shootings, the suspect’s behavior displayed marked signs of
serious mental problems, including confusing speech, disruptiveness in class,
bizarre imagery, deterioration in social, academic, and occupational functioning,
and a dramatic personality change. With such blatant signals, why didn’t others
intervene? Arizona law allows any interested party to report an individual’s bizarre
or threatening behavior to the authorities, who can involuntarily commit the
individual for psychiatric evaluation.

Though his community college suspended the suspect for his threatening demeanor, it
took no further action. One reason is that American educational privacy laws
severely restrict the sharing of information, even with parents, let alone with
other authorities. Additional privacy protections for medical records sometimes make
it difficult to notify parents when a child is troubled.

Moreover, the US Constitution prohibits preventive detention: even severely
disturbed individuals cannot be detained involuntarily unless judged an imminent
threat to themselves or others. College counselors apparently did not think that the
suspect met this demanding threshold. Although disruptive, the suspect was able to
function – as shown by the disciplined nature of the attack.

Such protections should not be surrendered easily. The irony of Sitov’s comment is
that during the Soviet era, Russian political dissidents were psychiatrically
diagnosed, institutionalized, and drugged into submission. Soviet Premier Nikita
Khrushchev, paving the way for the political abuse of psychiatric diagnosis, argued
that, “Of those who might start calling for opposition to Communism…, we can say
that clearly their mental state is not normal.”

The line between angry political extremism or eccentric normality and delusional
mental disorder is tricky to draw. If restrictions on involuntary commitment to
prevent crime are eased, zealous prosecutors could circumvent civil liberties. Such
abuses have emerged when preventive institutionalization has passed constitutional
muster, as in the laws some US states have enacted in order to incarcerate “sexually
violent predators.”

So, what can be done? Sitov was correct to the extent that the Arizona shootings
were likely facilitated by a uniquely American interaction between legal protection
of individual privacy and freedom, lack of strong community bonds and resources, and
easy access to handguns. Americans must acknowledge that educational and medical
privacy laws require limited exceptions for notification of family and authorities
when clear signs of severe mental illness surface, so that colleges and other
institutions can take timely action.

Adequate community mental-health services with educational outreach can induce
disturbed youth to get help voluntarily. Perhaps prudent loosening of the
imminent-harm standard for involuntary commitment in clear cases of severe disorder
might be helpful. Screening, if carefully targeted to limit errors, also may have a
role to play. Finally, improved gun control vis-à-vis the severely mentally ill is
imperative.

Such measures might have prevented the Arizona shootings. A stronger community
response, supported by limited exceptions to legal restrictions on
information-sharing, could have allowed involuntary evaluation of the suspect.

If he refused treatment and was released because he posed no imminent threat, his
severe mental disorder would nonetheless have been diagnosed. Placing him
immediately on a “watch list” for weapons – frequently updated under strengthened
laws – could have prevented him from purchasing the gun and ammunition he
subsequently used. Mareeg.com- Mogadishu 19 November, 2010

The new Somali Prime Minister, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, yesterday paid a visit to AMISOM Force Headquarters in Mogadishu and was briefed on the mission's activities by the Force Commander, Maj. Gen. Nathan Mugisha.

The premier expressed his gratitude for the support that the Transitional Federal Government had received from the AU peacekeeping mission, noting that they were instrumental to the success of the Somali peace process and the rebuilding of the country's institutions.

He also thanked AMISOM for the humanitarian support the mission continues to give to the residents of the city through the provision of free medical care and potable water.

Gen. Mugisha, on his part, assured the premier of AMISOM's continuing commitment to helping Somalia rise from the ashes of the last two decades. “A strong, independent and prosperous Somalia is not only good for the Somali people,” he said. “It is also the continent's best defence against the evils of international terrorism and maritime piracy.”

Accompanied by the Force Commander, Prime Minister Mohamed also toured the Al Jazeera Training Camp where he was shown a model barracks under construction. AMISOM instructors at the camp are training recruits of the Somali national army, from the strategic and tactical command to infantry soldiers. Over 4000 soldiers and officers have so far been trained in the two years the camp has been operating.

The Prime Minister later toured government positions and bases in the city where some of these troops have been deployed and was received warmly at Hoshi and Villa Baidoa.
Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Mareeg.comThe newly elected president of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo, inherits a state which is unrecognized by the rest of world. In political terms, the country is isolated: it has hardly any diplomatic representatives in its capital, and with few exceptions, Somaliland emissaries are not stationed in foreign capitals. As a consequence, the country lacks any access to the international financial system and qualifies little, if any, bilateral and multilateral financial assistance whether it is credit or direct aid. Additionally, international corporations can not invest because of the high risk to stockholders capital in a country where there are no diplomatic ties with mother countries.

International isolation is coupled with the dire condition of the local economy. There are no manufactured goods or other products, except for livestock, which are exported to the outside world. Local food production has dwindled over the years and most products for basic necessities are imported. The rutted and debilitating roadways in Hargeisa, the capital city, which are worse than it were in the 1960s, is emblematic of the general wellbeing of the country.

In general the economy is fueled by remittance from the Diaspora. Revenues, which total only in the tens of millions, are collected, due to pervasive corruption, from those who do not have political connections such as small traders ( caanalayda iyo bacadlayaasha). Those who have political connection are known to evade paying their share of taxes.

President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo inherits this dire economic and political situation. How can he then take the people to the Promised Land, as he pledged during the last months of the campaign? How can he lead the country towards economic growth and international recognition?

The search for international legitimacy will be facilitated by the fact he embodies the will of the people by being legitimately elected by the people. He is not an incumbent who somehow got reelected by manipulating a re-election effort as is common in third world countries; he is an opposition candidate, who, without question, in a free and fair election, defeated an incumbent, a very rare occurrence in third world countries. This fact will be helpful to him when he meets foreign leaders. He will therefore make more mileage into the search for recognition and will most likely be able to secure more financial assistance.

But he should NOT only look to the outside world for help; he must look into the domestic front to raise some capital to fix, among other areas, the roadways in the country and first and foremost that of the capital. As they say God helps those who help themselves. In the same vein, the rich countries will help only those who help themselves and take concrete steps towards that goal.

Remittance sent to the country by the Diaspora should not be immune to taxation. If the small traders who etch a living by hustling, under the scorching sun, all day long, are paying their share of taxes, why should not those who receive hundreds of dollars each month? I do not speak for the Diaspora, but given how patriotic they are and love to see their country develop, they would not mind to add few dollars each month to the bill they send each month only and only if that surcharge is used transparently, and dedicated towards the development of the country.

There is difference between when a candidate is campaigning for office and when a candidate wins and is faced with the awesome responsibility of governing a nation. President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud made it clear he means business and is determined to move the country forward. He deserves the full and continued support of the people in Somaliland. May his tenure in office lead towards the fulfillment of the aspirations of the people, which is economic progress and international recognition.
Tuesday, June 29, 2010

For the two decades, Mogadishu a pearl at the Indian Ocean achieved popularity as centre for massacring human being and the destruction of what the Somali Nation collectively established for more than three decades. In contrast to that, Hargeisa ones been barbarically destroyed by the last Somali Military regime, demonstrated remarkably peaceful coexistence and political maturity exercises to certain extend.

The election exercise in the secret capital of Somalia and the region as such has two major objectives. One objective is to elect a president for the regional self governing body and the other one is to keep course and manifest their dedication to become independent from ruined south Somalia.

Apart from the exciting extremely primitive, polluted clan political agitations, Said Barre scholars in Hargeisa, are running against the Somali unity blindly for the last decade and they produced young generations in Hargeise who are ready to die in Las-anod for their clan agenda.

Just like Al Shabab, the political actors are mobilising secretly young people been electrified by subtle clan based hate following ala Said Barre era wh to invade peaceful places like Lassanod or perhaps lasqore to proof there beloved international Communities, British Empire and what they call “Somaliland friend” that Sool, Sanag and cyan is part of their alleged Republic..

They are able to do things like that soon at any time because they are miss used generations as far as the so-called Somaliland agenda is concerned.

To demonstrate the dimension of the fanatic altitude one is confronted in Hargeisa today, is that teachers refuse to register Jowhar, Mogadischu or Baidao as birth place of students. This not cheap smear campaign against any holly independence claims of the region but a reality that can be proven easily in the schools.

Take time and check it out before you react emotional.

To simplify this issue, Hargeisa is openly a tribal area according to the political class in Hargeisa. That is why Somali refugees in Hargeisa weren’t allowed to elect a somali president of the autonomy NW region of Somalia just like the Ormo, Amhara refugees are not Eligible to elect.

In other words and wisely thinking, Somali IDPS in Hargeisa are refugees in their own country but the primitive clan doctrine of the local politicians and highly qualified academicians in Hargeisa categorised them as external clans from South Somalia.

Politicians in Hargeisa literally manifested something which is against all Somali cultural, moral and social norms.

Paradoxically, the vast majority of the political elite, academicians and technocracies in Hargeisa used to live in the south before the collapse of Said Barre regime and weren’t all Mujahidin as they all claim today.

They used to live and intermarry perhaps with some of the refugee clans who are vegetating relatively in a peaceful environment in Hargeisa today in the various parts of South Somalia.

These gentlemen and women spent most of their life in Baidao, Kismayo Mogadischu, Bossao Beltweyen or elsewhere in the south and had perhaps good time with their people.

The Somali people in the south neither terrorised nor humiliated you and they had not committed any crime against you what so ever and they owe you no apology. The crime in Hargeisa was not carried on behalf of the Somali people in the South but in the name of a dictatorial regime and many of you was part of that regime.

Today you are discriminating, segregating and humiliating the same innocent brothers and sisters of the good old days in Somalia.

Coming back to an eventually coming up bloodshed in North West Somalia which should not be under estimated, the political class in the area are basically organised on clan bases and the “Somaliland” independence is just a farce.

Having said that, the people in Sool, Sanaag and Cyan are equally organised on clan bases and recently they establish a liberation front which will consequently lead to a bloodshed..

The signs of war in that particular area are getting more and more visible. It will be irresponsible from the side of the so-called Somaliland friends to fuel the situation through nonsense recognition agitations because these charlatans underestimate purposely the dynamics behind the fanatic clan matadors of both sides.

Peace loving and poor people in Togdheer and Sool and Sanaag will be the victims of the clan agenda warriors at the end of the day. The so-called Somaliland forces must go back immediately to their clan area so that peace will prevail in the area.

It is undisputable that the vast majority of the people in these regions don’t want what they call “Somaliland” except some political jugglers from these regions. You cannot force them to take your dictatorial political agenda with the help of few jugglers from las-canod.

They manifested their stand during this and last presidential election and should be respected if you claim for yourself to be a model for African democracy which is literally or to my opinion a hot air.

I must admit that this piece will raise the temper of some of the reads from NW Somalia which belong to but consider this please as a contribution to the democracy and freedom of speech which is a guideline for political recognition fabulously followed and practised in Hargeisa and else where in NW Somalia today
Hussein Nor, the spokesman of the information affairs of ONLF guerillas said in an interview with Shabelle radio that they were ready for talking with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Meles Zenawi saying if Ethiopia was ready for the talks between the two sides and stop intimidations and problems committing by the Ethiopian troops to the people in the Somali region in Ethiopia.

Moallim Hashi Mohamed Farah, Mogadishu governor for Hizbul Islam held a press conference in Mogadishu and said they ordered men to grow beard and shave moustaches.

The group banned radio stations in Mogadishu from playing music and songs and in April. Most of the radio stations complied the order.

“We ordered women to take veil and cover their bodies and they complied, so men should take the order as women did,” said Moallim Hashi.

“Anyone who is caught defying the order will be punished,” added Moallim Hashi, although he did not elaborate the kind of punishment.

Al Shabaab militants gave men the same order in Kismayo last year. The two groups imposed strict versions of Sharia in areas under their control, including banning of watching and playing football.

Fisheries and Marine Resources minister and deputy prime minister, Abdirahman Haji Aden Ibrahim Ibbi, said the negotiations between the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (TFG) and Hizbul Islam have been under way for the past several weeks.

Ibbi said he hoped that the group will participate the commemoration of the country’s Independence Day which is first of July.

The move comes as tension between Hizbul Islam and al Shabaab mounted in areas under the control of Hizbul Islam after al Shabaab deployed more troops in Afgoye and Elasha Biyaha outside Mogadishu.

Fighters loyal to Hizbul Islam have been joining to al Shabaab for the past several weeks and the leader of Hizbul Islam Sheikh Aweys called on al Shabaab to respect his group.

Residents say al Shabaab fighters armed with battle wagons were deployed near the town where Hizbul Islam fighters control.

Hizbul Islam officials sent more fighters as reinforcement to the town and fighting that can erupt between the two groups is imminent.

Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys, the leader of Hizbul Islam criticized al Shabaab over a recent take over of Baladweyne town, the regional capital of Hiiraan region in central Somalia from his group.

Speaking to the reporters in Mogadishu, Aweys rebuffed the actions taken by al Shabaab and called on them to respect the legitimacy of his group.

Separately, another tension mounted in Yaqshid district in Mogadishu after al Shabaab fighters have reported tried to take over Yaqshid police station from Hizbul Islam.

The standoff between the two groups started in October last year when al Shabaab announced an administration in the port town of Kismayo unilaterally.

Since then, there has been secret hunt down assassinations between the two groups and yet they fight against the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (TFG) and the African Union Troops together.

Residents in Elasha Biyaha and Afgoye towns expressed concern about the troop movement and the tension which has arisen in the area and called on the Islamist groups not to fight in the populated areas where thousands of IDPS reside.
