There's so much out there right now, I'm having a blast with looks and decided to mix and match a bit. The MHOH2 hunt ends on the 15th, so don't put it off any longer, and join the group if you haven't and check the notices for post-hunt contests with some pretty impressive prizes being handed out. there's also a date auction to benefit the American Cancer Society -- so if you feel like giving up a couple of hours of your time online for a good cause, go join that too.

The Invite Only hunt (IVO) has only 23 participating vendors offering female (pinke envelope) and male (blue envelope) OR one unisex (yellow envelope) prize at each stop. It took me less than 45 minutes to do the whole hunt and there's some nice stuff to make it well worth your time. No hints though -- you can find them.

Side note: I've entered the MHOH2 Date Auction to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. This cool red jacket is one of the many fantastic FREE items of clothing at Maschienenwerk.

Okay trick question with the title, since most of you would answer with a resounding "Hell Yeah!" anyways. but what if you'd like to show off that spark of deviousness to a new level?

Little Britain is just the store to do that, of course. Besides that the store carries everything from clothing to skins to hair... they make almost all of their stuff customized for both women AND men to wear. You ever wanted to smash some zombies with your favorite gal, you two can wear matching zombeh-killin' duds after shopping at this place.

The store is almost always filled with patrons due to their very popular lucky chairs which change prizes frequently. Currently their lucky chair prize is a tattooed skin LeahJane modeled in her last post.

Right above the lucky chairs is this snappy number (again made in both guys and girls fits):

I like the tongue-in-cheek humor that went into this, and it's readily apparent in most of their designs. This doesn't come in multiple layers like some outfits, but the jeans are made with slim cuffs so you can tuck them into your favorite ass-kickin boots. The belt is mod as well so you can make it fit all the better to hold those jeans up.

Speaking of kickass jeans and zombehs...

The current Midnight Mania for the shop is these 'Dawn of the Dead' jeans. There's separate boards to get a pair for each gender (the men's board is on the right, so don't get them confused). I love the airbrushed designs that Ivica & Drummer put on a lot of their jeans, shirts, and boots and these are no exception.

So git yo' ass down to Little Britain, dammit! Pick up some cool freebies and stick around to snatch some of the regular merch as well. Totally worth it.

I know...your thinking wtf is with that title. Well I wanted a title contain all seven designers that are mentioned in this post.

This is the Den-Dou lucky board skin - Scarface (A) great detail on this skin. The lucky board is located upstairs. The jeans are by Vanilla C. Design - Ripped faded black they are a Sn@tch City, Nightmare Eden prize. Head to Dreamin'g Alice and grab some free vampire bite marks. I am wearing both types, neck and breast (chest). The sexy mohawk is from The Stringer Mausoleum (TSM) Twizzler hunt #8 which is Summon Winter - Halloween orange $1L.

This skin is the Den-Dou group gift called Zombie skin. I must say, that it is a pretty hot lookin zombie. The divine blood filled, Vampire cuddle tub in the background, is the latest freebie put out in the hidden room at Parajen Homes and the hair is TSM twizzler prize #16 In the rain - tripurple1 $1L (Hint: look for something floating on water)

This is the second skin you could win on the Den-Dou lucky board, Scarface (B). Hair is a TSM twizzler prize #9 Summon Winter - Halloween purple $1L. All these shots were taken inside the Parajen Homes skybed Gothic skybox, that is still available for free in the hidden room.

Halloween is a fantastic time of year that is filled with lots of frightening fun. Here is a game for you all to have a bit of fun with, and it will run till November 15th. Head to the Embarcation Center over at Sn@tch City, click on the Nightmare Eden sign on the table. You will be given instructions and a LM to begin you journey into this Sci Fi horror adventure into the future.

You begin in one of these stasis chambers. On your arrival, you begin to realise that something is not quite right with Eden. The bloody corps on the floor some what gives it away. Look around and you'll find a uniform to wear so you can blend in with the rest of the crew.

WTF is that?

This thing has seemed to have dropped an eye ball.

This game has a number of puzzles that you will need to solve to make your way to the end. The puzzles are quoted as "simple yet slightly challenging" but there are also clues to help you out. Click on anything that you think may be useful.

Poor soul!

There are heaps of prize, from many of the amazing designers that resided in Sn@tch City. They are strune all over Eden, so keep your eyes peeled.

Another challenge lies ahead...keep you wits about you and you will survive!

The main computer has lost control...I've got to get out of here!

Less Grunge, More Grace

Negotium Quan over at Geezer Garments has added a prizes for picks board at his store. It alternates daily between two prizes (for now) and currently what he's offering is this Dandy Brown suit and the matching shoes.

The shoes are a nice low-profile fit, meaning you can wear them not only with the suit but with jeans without having to do much tweaking to your pant hem. They are mod, no copy, though, so careful if you need to adjust.

The suit is a simple cut, no additional prims and Negotium did a really nice job matching up the checked pattern (which can sometimes be a problem on system jackets. There's a shirt, vest and jacket layer which means you can switch it up if you like.

The suit set also come with the sunglasses I'm wearing -- they have an adjustment script so use that to adjust size and position.

Keep in mind that prizes for picks can take up to 48 hours for the system to register it, but in the case of Geezer Garments, you aren't required to join a group in addition so, might be worth a slot in your profile after all. (He does have a group though, so take a look.)

The Hunts Between The Hunts

For those of you steadily working your way through the 174 participating content creators in Make Him Over Part Two, or even if you've completed that and are still eyeing your inventory with dread because now you have to unpack it all, keep in mind that there are other hunts going on as well (Pumpkin Prints, Dark Katz, Vampire Hunt, etc.) and that there are more hunts yet to come either this month or at the beginning of next month --which you know, gives you the opportunity to either economize on your time by doing more than one at a time since a lot of the creators are in more than one or gives you an exxxxxcellent reason to procrastinate on cleaning you inventory.

One of those coming up is the "Enter At Your Own Risk Hunt" beginning on October 24th and I've snagged a couple of items already as a preview. One is from our own Guen, from her store .:CoLLisions:., where she will be offering this cool Incubus Tattoo. Nice detail work for front and back, sepia tinted, undershit, shirt and jacket layer.

Another participant is Marcy over at Wilson's Designs for Men, and this sleek, office casual mock turtleneck and slacks for autumn.

And for something on a smaller scale, Kat McGinnis over at Intrigue, Co., has moved her store (if you didn't know,) and to celebrate she's got three dollarbies hidden in the new location as a thank you . So, go over see her new digs, congratulate her on her new store and take home some new clothes.

MHOH2 - making it easy to look good

If you're feeling a little beat up on the hunt, #7 Little Britain Designs might make the look fit the mood. Ribbed jeans, hard bracers, and body tatts for the scrapes and bruises you've gotten hunting for your prizes.

For a little mix and match, try on this newsboy cap from #12 Casa del Shai, the long sleeved knit sweater from #6 Atui and #19 TashaDesigns worn brown jeans.

At #165 Wilson's Designs for Men you get three outfits and multiple looks. You might have to work a little to find the symbol but it's worth it. I'm especially fond of Marcy's brown jeans and the layered mock turtleneck and sweater. Easy to combine with something to make a more formal look.

And if you see Marcy at the store say hi and thanks.

Sim Hunt - Necrosis Noctis

There's a sim-wide hunt going on at the Necrosis Noctis sim, including hunt items from The Black Canary. You are looking for Pumpkins and the hunt gifts are not free, they run you $10L a shot and in some cases you may not know what you are getting (but most of the stores have promos, so check there first). The hunt only runs a week, I believe and it started on the 15th, but still, I regularly pay far more the $10L for Morrigan's stuff and the other designers are just as talented.

I'm wearing TBC's The Caged Bird: shirt, slacks tie, mourning band. Boots are from Redgrave (not free) hair is from MADesigns from the current MHOH2 hunt. Allyah is wearing The Unlucky: Victorian unisex, shirt, corset and bloomers. Her hair is Gothic Neko from Ambion in the same hunt - Ambion is next door to The Black Canary and they are also offering an autumnal skybox. The hunting season isn't nearly over and if you weren't aware, the wildly popular "Make Him Over Hunt" is gearing up again to start on the 15th. A lot of the current hunts for October are a mixed bag for us guys, and with so many of them, it's hard to know where and if you should devote any time to them, but I've got a couple of things here that I've tripped over that you might want to take a look at and make a grab for before they are gone.

Sable Rose - Basics Emerald Stud Earring (front and back)

The first up "Ear Basics," an offer from Sable Rose that is meant for guys but is unisex. You might have to dig some change out of your virtual couch for it, but it's worth it. For $50L you get a mega pack of basic earring sets. Yes, earrings..., studs, hoops, and piercings that go with pretty much anything and everything you need that aren't modified women's earrings and aren't so big and blingy you blind everyone in a 50 metre radius. I'm not show you all of them, but there are 34 sets in this pack, gemstones and industrial, along with a sizing and placement card and pieces that when you rezz them, even if they are small, won't typically end up inside your head, because these were fitted to a male avatar. And while you are there, you might hang out a bit at the lucky boards in the back. Rosie has put in her her very cool Coexist set (from the jewelry faire post) along with a version of her Zoe gothic cross...and that makes the whole visit a bargain.

Decked out? Good... let me show you another kind of deck, this one for free. JJ Lane furniture participates in a lot of hunts, and the quality of their stuff is top notch and relatively low prim. they also have a Prize for Picks aspect to their subscribo and even if the airier styles they carry (they do mostly beach style furnishings) they are worth keeping on your radar. Currently they are in the Pumpkin Prints Hunts (look for the pumpkin with the paw print) and the Halloween Hunt reboot (look for the black bat) and if you want something for your deck or outside patio...you can't miss with these:

JJ Lanes Adirondack deck set - #14 on the Pumpkin Prints Hunt: This is an amazing amount of furniture as a gift. It has one double set of adirondack chairs with a shared table (3 prims), a single chair with a blanket and pillow set attached (3 prims) , another single chair, (1 prim) a side table (1 prim) and a greenhouse flower arrangement (which pops at 17 prims)
Copy/No Mod/No Trans
This has a great menu driven set of sits and poses; the single chair with the pillow allows seating for two, possibly more; pose choices forboth men or women. It says teal, but it has that nice weathered look that works on any porch you may have or just on the edge of a beach or dock.

GreenHouse Dining Table (3 prims) & 2 Bar stools (4 prims each), with Rug and Cape Bureau (7 prims) It's #46 on the Halloween Hunt - Copy/No Mod/No Trans.
Again, the sits are awesome, the look is yeah, light and breezy, but if it's getting colder where you are and you want a reminder of summer, you won't go wrong with this set.

And while you are redecorating, let me point you the newly introduced Pocket Gardens by Carter Denja & Stormy Aluveaux. Carter contacted me a week or so ago because I'm kind of a landscaping nut, and I went to look -- and I was really impressed with what they've done. The gardens are exactly as advertised: of varying sizes and prim counts so you can fit them to your tiny urban rooftop, or integrate them into an existing landscaping plan. They come with pose sets an optional base and a texture and/or theme menu for the ground and color type. Larger ones come with a optional hedge prims for privacy and water features depending on the size. I bought one at 44 prims immediately... but they were for purchase, so not really something I could post here. Except Carter is kind of awesome and she's put a small version (11 prims) into her subscribo. Join the group, get a garden...but do take the time to look around the grounds and take your next date there *grins*. (Two shops, Downstairs at Madhu's World Cafe - very cool place, and her conservatory at New Toulouse Algiers.)

And last, let me point you in the direction of SF Design and the fact that swaffette has not only been offering men free stuff since I first rezzed, she is currently offering up a new pack of something every month at her Penryn shop. This month, she gets back to the basics, with a fat pack of men's low rise trunks black, blue, burgundy, grey and purple. Swaffette has you covered from the casual to the most formal, and she's a staple for men's wardrobes in SL even beyond these basic briefs. You don't have to join a group or subscribo to get her monthly freebies... but SF Design is another place I check pretty regularly to see what she's got out that's new.

Halloween Loco Poco style!

They have done it again! The dynamic duo of Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, creators of Loco Pocos, have yet another amazing event set up for us to enjoy!

Loco Pocos Trick or Treat. The event is set up so you can play as either a Loco Poco or as a human.

When you arrive at Loco Poco Island, find your way here and click on the spooky pumpkin. For those of you that were lucky enough to do the Loco Poco Halloween hunt last year, you'll remember how much fun it was filling your pumpkin with loads of goodies.

When you arrive, grab yourself a pumpkin shaped candy bag. Then start banging on lots of doors to collect your goodies.

A little warning, some of the residents that live in this village aren't particularly fond of trick or treaters.

They keep their goodies and candy to themselves and will give you a good fright to try and scare you away. Be strong and all your door knocking will reap a wonderful reward!

Black gummy bears are a witches favourite treat, besides chocolate coated bat wings.

What's with the rusty key in my pumpkin? Hmmm...wonder what that's for?

Macabre Hunt (Part 3)

And as promised... here's some stuff from the last 3rd of the Macabre Hunt :-)

One of the two skins available from Ali Couture (#61) has an interesting blue tint and tattoos already in place. The shading is lovely and I like the shading over each part.

Pie Hole (#64) went with the darker side of the Snow White tale with the Queen as the Witch for the gals, and a Coal Miner avatar for the dudes. I dunno but when I see this avie, I keep thinking about a certain Rammstein music video. Hmmm. ;-)

I don't typically wear neko gear, but the two sets from Neako (#65) were cute without being 'overdone'. The men's set comes from the 3rd & 4th apples with the ears & tails (2 versions) in one and the kitty feet in the other (also 2 versions). The ears and the tail have bones to go along with the Corpse Bride & Groom theme but doesn't distract from the cuteness of both sets.

I've always been a fan of The Stringer Mausoleum (#69) since Helena makes such unique hairstyles. Wandering around I was delighted to see she also does skins and some clothing including this men's Fox Stole. Normally you'd think of a stole being for the ladies, but this one actually works with your fav Steampunk outfit. :-)

And finally...

The very last stop on the Hunt is the mall placed above the Alice in Wonderland RP sim, Nevaria (#73).

One of the two gifts from Rasetsukoku at the end of this Hunt is the Sword of Litha which includes a script to draw and sheath the sword and a belt that's made in both men's and women's sizes. A great addition for any period piece outfit you may decide to throw on.

And that's the Hunt! Got one more day to run through before all these goodies are gone. Don't fret, though. There will be another Hunt in the Spring with new gifts and new challenges for each designer. :-)

Find Ash group gift

Reopa Laval designer of Find Ash, one of my favourite hair stylist, has opened the new store and has a new gift out: "FA"Cover Fringe.
The hairstyle is supposed to be mostly worn by a woman but with little work it fits on a not extra sized male shape.
Textures are realistic and shiny as always and it comes in two tints, light brown (showed) and honey blond.
Available in store (dollarbie) and in group notices.

Beer anyone?

Now you can take your icy cold beers with you in this awesome running cooler. Just rezz on the ground (in a place you are allow to rezz objects), sit and ride away. If you press the up and down arrows at the same time, it will switch the cooler into hover mode.

The running coolers cost $300L at SORA Motors but if you head over to Trenza mall, you could win one from the lucky board. Letter flips every 10 mins. The free version cooler is hot pink but who cares, pink is just a colour and this baby is a lot of fun...try it! It is adjustable so you can make your avatar fit right and you can also take a passenger for a ride too.

Shiver me timbers and Color me chaos... Arrh! ya dirty scoundrels! Remember long ago when you were a pesky lil kid, did you use to love making things out of cardboard boxes? like cars, cubby houses..pirate ships! Then you'll love this crayon coloured, cardboard pirate ship that's held together with sticky tape. It is a fun costume that made me smile and rem minis about cardboard tube sword fights with my brother.

It's an amazing amount of work and laid out in a simple, easy-to-use format with guides and notes on how to best utilize your newbie status to take advantage of the amazing offers out there to help new avatars get started.

Also, the launch of the Free Finds For Men Designer Spotlight is official, the first post featuring one of our favorite and most generous freebie givers, Photos Nikolaids of A:S:S: you won't necessarily find much free stuff in this adjunct blog, but it is our way to highlight and hopefully drive business to those designers we feel are generous, creative and whose designs might appeal enough to get you to part with a few lindens.

As you can see, I have lost a little weight since my last post.

For a very limited time, Krist Tenk of Tenk Tank is offering this amazing skeleton avatar for free. It's a cool looking, well made skeleton. Ideal for this time of year and perfect for scaring the neighbours. Tenk Tank is a great little store filled with heaps of character avs like Sponge Bob, Pinocchio, Woody, Donald Duck, just to name a few. They range from around $200 - $400 linden which is a pretty good price.

I am rather embaressed. I have never been so naked. I have gone all shy now so stop looking at me and head over to Tenk Tank and pick up your own piece of inner beauty before it's gone!

Macabre Hunt (Part 2)

Yeah I know I'm a little late with the second installment, but part of it was due to having a hard time picking just a few things to photograph. Digging through more and more items found in this hunt is like a Goth Christmas. However I did have to narrow the items down...

So here is a sampling of items you'll get in stores #25-#50:

You actually get 3 furniture items from SMOTD (#29) including this Rusty Musty Reading Couch with 2 sitting poses and dusty books to place wherever you wish. It's even purposely leaned back so you can set it up against your favorite wall.

Sal-eela (#32) and Tacky Star (#34) had items that actually look good together so I went with it. The kilt from Sal-eela has great texturing and a resize script so you can adjust on a whim. I even managed to get it small enough for my female av which made it even more cool. Tacky Star's Prince Charming tattoo comes in 3 layers with a realistic scar across the front and "Prince Charming" curved across the back. The black choker comes with it as well for a more Gorean look.

Just going to the Violent Seduction (#35) store was a blast. The setting for the store is incredible and Ikaru decided to tease folks by placing out a cauldron if apples at the entrance (which we all were clicking on incessantly despite the fact none of them were the real hunt item). ;-) In the end, though she did do a great job with these troll ears and tail for the dudes. I may just wear the ears, themselves, when I'm feeling a bit more ghoulish.

Virtual Props & Poses (#41) is an interesting store since they don't do Photo areas or pose balls like some other stores do but instead they offer actual props to sit on and pose for even more dramatic photographs. Their contribution Hunt is this Mousetrap Prop with 6 different menu driven poses. Street Dermatology (#40) offered both a skin and this Briar Rose's Cursed Needle necklace as gifts. The necklace is actually big enough for guys to wear and the detail on the pendant is quite interesting with tiny red droplets and suspended needle inside.

I've seen folks wear gauges in SL before and they never seemed to impress me, until I saw these from Gauged (#44). These aren't just the gauges but prim ears as well. These have not only a resize script to fit each one to your head, but also a plethora of different skin tones and 6 different gauge designs (I'm wearing one of the 2 Jack Skellington designs included). You may need to adjust your shape and shrink down your normal ears to fit these but it's worth it.

Probably one of the longest names for an item I've ever heard, the Mad Hatter's Nightmare Decked to the 9's top hat from Forsaken (#50) has soooo much incredible detail and I just fell in love with it. I'm a hat fanatic to begin with, but this giftie topped the charts. Everything from playing cards to dead bird heads are on this thing which makes it a great item to wear not only for Halloween but any other time you need an extra touch of freaky for your outfit.

I'll try and get #51-#73 out before the Hunt is over but please do check out all the stores for not only their gifts but also all the other awesome items they sell. :-)
