My new job lasted a year, then I was laid off, but it is fine, I have been unemployed for 3 years and never been Healthier or Happier!

It is kind of hard to adjust to NOT having to be somewhere every day, but it gets easier. I had unemployement for about a year, but went on very few interviews, there just isn't anything out there.

The next year I kept up looking but still nothing, now though I do the books for a friend, doesn't bring in a bunch of cash but enough plus it keeps my mind from going to mush.

I mostly blog at https://swobodasays.wordpress.com/ now. It is really hard to keep up more then one blog I have tried and failed :)

Thank you to all my followers, I hope you come on by to the new blog.

809 Area Code Scam Alert

809 Area Code

We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code.. The woman said 'Hey, this is Karen . Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I have something important to tell you.' Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809. We did not respond. Then this week, we received the following e-mail:

Do Not DIAL AREA CODE 809, 284, AND 876

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809

This one is being distributed all over the US ... This is pretty scary, especially given the way they try to get you to call.

Be sure you read this and pass it on.

They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc..

In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls.

If you call from the U.S. , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute.

Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. WHY IT WORKS:

The 809 area code is located in the Dominican Republic ..

The charges afterward can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call.. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong.

Please forward this entire message to your friends, family and colleagues to help them become aware of this scam.

Ok, sucker that I am, I decided to try the Sensa Diet. It seems easy enough, just sprinkle it on your food before you eat.

I had a diet once before, called Sprinkle Thin, but it did change the taste of your food, this one isn't supposed to be noticable.

You get 2 months worth for $4.95 but you have to make up your mind in 1 month so we will see. For anyone who does a Trial Offer, print out how to do the cancellation and then make sure to mark on your calendar to cancel about a week before so you don't forget!

Peter Pan ROCKS - Tinkerbell is the BEST

We LOVED Peter Pan. It was great. There was NO bad seat in the house. The effects were awesome, almost to awesom actually, my friend gets motion sick and for a few minutes she was iffy, but it all smoothed out.

This NOT I repeat NOT the Disneyland sweet and light version of Peter Pan and this is NO singing. Come with an open mind and ready to be dazzled. I loved the way they did the sets, the animals and the flying.

However, Tinkerbell is a Stinkerbell....she is great. She really does steal the show, and she is not your regular sugar and spice fairy, remember she is living on an island with the lost boys.

Go see it and enjoy...it was a hoot! Everyone there loved it, all ages, from kids to grandparents.

OK....so I have the following items in my kitchen...corn on the cob, barbequed ('cause I am smokin' on the bbq!), ground beef (frozen), diced tomatoes (with spices), tomato sauce, big arse can of kidney beans.

So I made CHILLI.... let me tell you though, it is NOT 5 alarm, heck it ain't even 1 alarm....I no likey the spicey! But it sure is TASTEY!

I opened the can of diced tomatos and added the big can o beans, while that was simmering, I added the tomato sauce and defrosted the meat, which I added.

The I cut the corn OFF the cobb and added it, I let it simmer for about 2 hours and then brought it to work...why you ask? cause my one son doesn't like beans....and my other son and husband don't like the chuncky tomatos..jeeezzzz and they wonder why I don't like to cook!

So me and my co-workers are enjoying it....hah...YUMMY in my tummie. of course they added salt and tabasico sauce....no problemo :-)

I sent my pretty kitties picture to a few "contests"....well I got a e-mail back from one site telling me she is in the top 100 of cutest pets (duh, she sure acts like it..DIVA) so they want me to pay $70.00 to get a book that she will be included in...NOT

I also got an e-mail telling me that my picture is in the top 1000 pictures and in order to go further in the judging process I needed to send in my $20 entry fee....hmmm NOT.

I really need to get that cat a job.....

College Bound...

My youngest is going to community college to get his AA degree....what a difference from when I went, credits where $6 and you couldn't be charged more then $60 no matter how many you took!!!!

So the other day he tells me his one friend may be coming back to CA and his is going to go to college in San Diego, this is where my son wants to go also.

So, in a year, he maybe in S.D also, the cost....$10k + per year O M G!!!! There goes my retirement fund!

He is like...I will get a student loan, and I was like NO you won't, I don't want my son starting out in DEBT. He will get there on his own no need to start him out there.

I told him to start looking into Grants, since you don't have to repay those and to start saving up. Auugghhh.

Work vs Clean Kitchen

My one son has made it his lifes mission NOT to work...so my husband makes him work around the house...I have a problem know....I LOVE coming home to a CLEAN kitchen...if he gets a job, no more clean kitchen.....Auugghh

I am not sure I want him to get a job....I really really like a clean kitchen.....aauugghhhhh

Brazilian Blowout - Bohyah!

I got a brazilian blowout before, it lasted for almost 3 months, it is great....I just got done again....in fact my husband is like....isn't it time to get your hair done????

Seriously huge difference...well worth the time and money!!!

The only thing is, if you color your hair, do it a few weeks before the blowout this way it will help to lock it in!
