Well I am retired now I should have more time to work on my blogs.
When we retired we purchased a home in the country, it is a fixer-upper. This will be our retirement project. I will try to keep progress updates posted.

I seem to be good at losing time. It has been a few months sense my last post. I am not very good at writing my thoughts down. I guess that I am more of a talker than a writer. Now my wife is very good at writing. She has a natural talent for expressing her thoughts. I have a shallow blank mind when it comes to writing. I guess that I should have thought of that before I started this blog. It sounded like a good idea at the time. Maybe I will just leave the writing up to my wife..

Well it has been too long since my last post. I guess that I let time slip by me. My prayer is that God will grant me the insight to be more regular at posting on this blog. It seems like every time I go to write something my mind goes blank. Could be my old age.... Or that I spend too much time doing other things. God has given us so much to be thankful for and we tend to take it for granted. We are a blessed people and have been given eternal life. What more could we ask for. God is so great and deserves our praise and worship.

It sure seems like winter is speeding right past us. We haven’t had too much snow or real bad weather so far, but winter isn’t over yet… I don’t know if it is because I am older or what but this past year has flew by so fast. When you get close to the finish line it sure comes up a lot faster than it is at the start line…….

Lately it seems like the months just fly by, is this God telling us to get our house in order! Is the Lord’s return just around the corner? This summer just flew by. I need to quit wasting God’s precious time and start getting busy sharing the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Do you all know that Jesus came to seek out and save that which was lost? He (JESUS) Died on the cross to save you and me. He paid the price for our salvation. And it is by His blood that we have been redeemed. If we confess our sin, He is faithful to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Right where you are at, you can ask Jesus to save you.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Did it again!

Well I went and did it again. I let another year slip by. It must be my age. I think that I had better get busy with this blog. Well this year we have started a new job, one that will give us more free time. I will have to be more active on my blogs. Now I just need to have something to write about. I could be like a lot of folks and complain about high gas prices, the government or the weather. But I would rather talk about the positive things. Things like Jesus is lord, God's grace is awesome and His love reaches the end of the earth.

Valuable lessons!

Over the years I have been taught many valuable lessons. Things like think before you speak (this is a real hard one for me) Look before you start walking, treat people the way you would like to be treated and there are no free rides, work for what you want. But the most important thing that I have learned is that life with out God is no life at all. Without Jesus I would be lost!

In my life time I have worked as a heavy equipment operator, carpenter, mechanic,welder, auto body tech. painter, supervisor, grocery manager, auto detailer, auto salesman, motel manager. Now mind you, I am no expert at any of the above but I have had a chance to work at each job over two or three years and some much longer than that. Each field I had a chance to work in I enjoyed and worked hard to do a good job. The one thing that I have learned that challenge is good. I have always felt the most useful when I was challenged by a new field or job. Now I am not suggesting that this will work for everyone but I can’t complain. I was fortunate enough to work well in all of the jobs that I have had. I feel that when one stops learning they stop living. I am always ready to learn something new. The family has always told me that I was a jack-of-all trades and master of none.

What have I done!

Well a good place to start is at the ripe old age of 17 I served in the Army, operated a bulldozer, earth mover and a 5 ton water truck. This all took place in Thailand. This let me grow up fast and wild with out much regard for life, living in the fast lane. I enjoyed the people over there and if things would have worked out different I would have liked to have returned on a mission trip or just a nice visit. Too old for that now! I think that it is a great chance to be able to see how others live in foreign places. A few years ago I had a chance to go to Nicaragua on a mini mission trip to do some work on a small mountain school. I really enjoyed that even if it was just a short time (7 days). In my lifetime I have had a chance to do many things. If you visit often I will share a few of them. I do not proclaim to be anybody special or have any insight on anything just felt like sharing my life with the (www.) Thank you for listening.

The title of this blog is a way of life. In it you will find just about anything pertaining to life through the eyes of a 57 year old that is always learning and never tires of learning. Life for me has seen many adventures. Some good and some not so good then on occasions some really great ones. I hope that this blog won't be to dull for the rest of the world.
