Who’s Right About Agenda-21

More and more local communities are rising up to oppose local comprehensive land use plans and local ordinances because they claim the policies contained in the documents reflect the recommendations found in the U.N.’s Agenda 21, which result in the loss of property rights and individual freedom. Consequently, proponents of professional planning and sustainable development increase their criticism of the opposition, often resorting to ridicule and personal attacks. So who’s right about Agenda 21?

All the history and information you need to know about Agenda 21 can be found here. The fact is that many people who speak on both sides of this issue are wrong. For example, the American Political Action Committee recently sent an email that said:

UN Agenda 21 could…

Wipe private property off the face of the earth.
Force you and your family to live in a single-family energy efficient home.
Confiscate private farms and farmland.
Snatch away private landholdings.
Ban individual ownership of cars.

Well, not exactly. Agenda 21 has no enforcement power at all. It is a non-binding document that offers nearly 300 pages of very specific recommendations that may be adopted by nations, states, or local governments. Agenda 21 has no power until a government body incorporates the recommendations into a law, rule, or ordinance. Then, and only then, does the recommendation have legal enforcement authority.

It is true that the official policy of the U.N. is for government to control the use of all land. It is also true that Chapter 7 of Agenda 21 recommends ways for government to take control of land use:

7.30. Subsequently, all countries should consider developing national land-resource management plans to guide land-resource development and utilization and, to that end, should:

(a) Establish, as appropriate, national legislation to guide the implementation of public policies for environmentally sound urban development, land utilization, housing and for the improved management of urban expansion;

(c) Develop fiscal incentives and land-use control measures, including land-use planning solutions for a more rational and environmentally sound use of limited land resources;

This email, however, is designed to scare people into sending a fax to every Senator, a service which the email sender provides for a reasonable fee. Unfortunately, the Senate has nothing to do with the implementation of Agenda 21. It is not a treaty and therefore, does not have to be ratified. No bills come before the Senate requesting funds for Agenda 21. Appropriation bills contain vast sums for “challenge grants,” to be awarded by the EPA and other agencies. Few, if any, Senators recognize these appropriations as funding for Agenda 21. Faxes sent in response to this email are wasted, and worse. For those who may know that Agenda 21 does not need to be ratified, the fax reveals the lack of knowledge of the sender.

Moore County North Carolina’s newspaper, The Pilot, published an article by Joe McDonald that presents a good example of the view held by advocates of Agenda 21. He says: “The document bends over backward to make it clear that the sovereignty of each member country is to be respected.” This is quite true — because the document has no power until its recommendations become local law. McDonald also says:

“Agenda 21 was largely put aside and forgotten about until a gentleman out in California named Michael Shaw, with his Freedom 21 organization, decided that the concept of sustainable development is actually a cover for a communist plot to abolish private property rights and to take over the world.”

Not true. President Bill Clinton created the President’s Council on Sustainable Development in 1993. Until 1999, all federal agencies worked diligently through the PCSD to implement the recommendations in Agenda 21, by rule where possible, and with new legislation when necessary.

Michael Shaw made no claim that Agenda 21 was a “communist plot,” these are Joe McDonald’s words used in a deliberate attempt to ridicule and denigrate a great American patriot. Michael Shaw is not spreading conspiracy theories, he is working to inform his neighbors and fellow Americans that Agenda 21 contains recommendations that, when adopted, will result in the loss of private property rights. A few examples may be seen here (17:34) of how Agenda 21, where it has been adopted into local ordinances, is removing people from their land without compensation and is destroying private property rights.

The recommendations in Agenda 21 lead inevitably to more government control over virtually every facet of human life. Those who champion individual liberty and private property rights should learn as much as possible about Agenda 21 and how to confront it. Join a local Tea Party, property rights, or 912 group and help save your community and this great nation.

The United Nations is holding its’ “Conference on Sustainable Development” in Rio de Janero, Brazil, over three separate sessions in June, to which organizers, led by UN Conference Secretary-General of Rio+20, Sha Zukang [who 'really doesn't like Americans'], expect 193 attendees from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders, according to the Sarah de Sainte Croix March 20, 2012 article in The Rio Times.

The stated themes of this colossal conference, which is structured around a 204-page report titled, “Working Towards a Balanced and Inclusive Green Economy, A United Nations System-Wide Perspective,” are “the green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication,” … [by and through] … “the institutional framework for sustainable development,” according to George Russell’s excellent and quoted-filled FOXNews article today.

More specifically, the debates will cover a … ‘breathtaking array of carbon taxes, transfers of trillions of dollars from wealthy countries to poor ones, and new spending programs to guarantee that populations around the world are protected–from the effects of the very programs the world organization wants to implement.

According to Russell, the Obama Administration officials have supported this “agenda,” which is designed to ‘make dramatic and enormously expensive changes in the way that the world does nearly everything—or, as one of the documents puts it, “a fundamental shift in the way we think and act.”

According to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, proposals on how the “challenges can and must be addressed,” include:

–’More than $2.1 trillion a year in wealth transfers from rich countries to poorer ones, in the name of fostering “green infrastructure … climate adaptation … other green economy” measures.’

–’New carbon taxes for industrialized countries [amounting to] about $250 billion a year, or 0.6 percent of [US] GDP by 2020. Other environmental taxes are mentioned, but not specified.’

–’Further unspecified price hikes … derived from agriculture, fisheries, forestry, or other kinds of land and water use [industries], all of which would be radically reorganized–[to] “contribute to a more level playing field between established, ‘brown’ technologies and newer, greener ones.”‘

– ‘Major global social spending programs, including a “social protection floor” and “social safety nets” for the world’s most vulnerable social groups for reasons of “equity.”’

–’Even more social benefits for those displaced by [this] green economy revolution—such as those put out of work in undesirable fossil fuel industries. The benefits, called “investments,” would include “access to nutritious food, health services, education, training and retraining, and unemployment benefits.”‘

–’A guarantee that if those sweeping benefits weren’t enough, more would be granted … “Any adverse effects of changes in prices of goods and services, vital to the welfare of vulnerable groups, must be compensated for and new livelihood opportunities provided.”‘

“Transforming the global economy will require action locally (e.g., through land use planning), at the national level (e.g., through energy-use regulations) and at the international level (e.g., through technology diffusion),” the document says.

It involves “profound changes in economic systems, in resource efficiency, in the composition of global demand, in production and consumption patterns and a major transformation in public policy-making.” It will also require “a serious rethinking of lifestyles in developed countries.”

This ‘UN guidebook for global social engineering,’ was prepared by the Geneva-based United Nations Environmental Management Group (UNEMG), a consortium of 36 U.N. agencies, development banks and environmental bureaucracies–all of which rely on the contributions, from tax collecting nations for their very existence–not a single entity engaged in the production of goods or services, producing a profit and owning singular wealth.

This UN doctrine seems to directly channel Marx and Engel’s scribe of 1848, “The Communist Manifesto,” wherein its’ organizational and operational structure appears to largely be a paraphrasical equivalent to the 10 short-term demands Marx prescribed in section II., “Proletarians and Communists.”

However, instead of the UN overthrowing the capitalist system, it simply wants to tie it to a leash and be subject to the UN … [a] ‘dictatorship of the proletariat,’ to redistribute wealth around the world to “magically elevate the poverty class to the middle class.

The United States, arguably the most fertile and favorable ground for such a massive experiment, has already spent $15 [T]rillion in taxpayer treasure over the past 47 years attempting to circumvent market forces and eliminate poverty–with no affect.

Additionally, study after study has revealed the UN to have grown into an impossibly dysfunctional gargantuan, having negligent management skills, metrics and accountability, and a source of financially wasteful pandering–second only to the U.S. General Services Administration.

Actually, as this directly smacks of the long-discussed “UN Agenda 21,” America must treat this audacity of the United Nations as a wake up call, and say “[last] check please”–then hit the UN exit doors without delay.

Tom DeWeese, the founder and director of the American Policy Center http://www.AmericanPolicy.org (NOTE: the link was giving me problems so the site might be temporarily down) informs an audience in Albany, NY about the origins of Agenda 21, the central planning strategy that has grown out of the United Nations since 1993 to become soft law in the cities and counties across America to control all facets of the economy for an international redistribution of wealth.

This United Nations program lays out a comprehensive plan of sustainable development locally, nationally, and globally in every area where humans affect the environment. Basically it's the UN's plan to establish control over all human activity, including man's reputed contribution to climate change.

You are witnessing a plan that is taking place all across the United States NOW. It has many names but it’s the same plan. UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development: Sustainable Cities Strategy. It is a regional plan that creates unelected boards of elected officials who are engaged in erasing the boundaries between cities, counties, and states.
You are losing your ability to influence your government policies at the same time that you are being solicited for your opinion. It’s a tactic to placate you. This is the Delphi method of manipulating groups and controlling populations that may protest. By 2050, or sooner, there will be 11 Mega-Regions in the United States that include parts of Mexico and Canada. Local and state boundaries and jurisdictions will be dissolved. This is not a delusional rant.

What are these plans called? Your government is using similar names for all of these plans and they are all the same: Regional. They are being rolled out NOW. The adoption date is MID-2013. ALL OVER THE US.
Most of us are unaware that the plan we are fighting is the same plan, with minor variations, being imposed in the name of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding public transportation, and funding low-income housing. All plans include Smart Growth–high density housing with restrictions on personal space and car usage. All plans support high speed trains–the building block of Mega-Regions. All plans give power to regional transportation and planning boards (MPOs and COGs) through federal and state fund disbursements. In all plans housing and transportation are now linked. In all plans population projections are hugely inflated. All plans will go forward as planned. This is a planning revolution.
Here are just a few plans around the country using the word “VISION” a UN Agenda 21 buzz word. Other plan names use variants on the sustainability jargon. There are thousands of these plans and they all have a goal of transformation–a jargon term for destruction.

We need to use civil disobedience. Refuse to accept these plans. They are not YOUR plan. They are destroying our government and installing a new regime. This is UN Agenda 21 / Sustainable Development / ICLEI. Educate yourself and others. This is war. Join us at Democrats Against UN Agenda 21 in fighting for our freedom.

Even those who believe themselves devoted patriots (including devout Christians) may foolishly be enticed by the powers that be, into violating Americans’ sacred and essential Popular and national Sovereignties. It has been happening for a long time, now.

People who believe in a Sovereign nation called the United States of America are being duped into not only violating the mandates of our Constitution, but even worse, into nullifying our own Declaration of Independence from the control of foreign, kleptocratic power.

This is the tragedy for us all, laying under the noses of those who foolishly follow the stratagems of those seeking hegemony over us via “global governance” and it’s ploy, “sustainable development,” a.k.a., “millennium goals,” a.k.a., “green growth,” as outlined in United Nations’ Agenda 21. WHAT ICLEI Was UP to at the WASTE of TIME Called the DURBAN CLIMATE CONFERENCE – HINT: It’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

The Durban Climate Conference is winding down and there will be no binding agreement on so-called climate change. This is good news.

But ICLEI was busy at the Waste of Time called the Durban Climate Conference coming up with new goals and plans for local governments to implement Agenda 21. It’s the usual unconstitutional stuff:

ICLEI, as at previous COPs, is working to ensure that local and subnational governments are appropriately engaged and empowered in the design and implementation of the global climate agreement. In Durban, we are following up on our hard-won success at COP16 in Cancun, where for the first time local governments were recognized by the UNFCCC as official “government stakeholders” with a seat at the table for negotiations.

The Constitution forbids local US governments from having a “seat at the table” to negotiate at UN climate conferences. They cannot be “stakeholders” with foreign governments.

ICLEI made an “intervention(pdf document)” to the final plenary session of the Waste of Time today and they issued this(pdf document) Durban Adaptation Charter. Here’s a few highlights:

Recalling that Agenda 21 identifies local government as the “level of government closest to the people” with a “key role to play in making sustainable development happen”;

ICLEI implements and supports Agenda 21. Don’t let anyone tell you different no matter what his/her title is!

Noting the 2010 Cochabamba Final Declaration of the World People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth that acknowledges that the future of humanity is in danger as a result of pursuing a model of limitless growth and that the significant adaptation debt borne by the Global South must be addressed through financial compensation, improved social and environmental justice and an acknowledgement of the importance of ecological integrity.

Impoverish the Western nations to pay to the so-called developing nations. Ron Paul says this is so the poorest in the USA can support the richest in the developing nations.

Welcoming the outcome of the Cancun Agreements where local and subnational governments are recognized as “governmental stakeholders” in the global climate regime, as a concrete achievement of two decades of global climate advocacy of local governments;

More unconstitutional stuff!

Acknowledging that globally, local governments play a strategic role in addressing climate change, because of their direct activities in delivering local government functions; their responsibility for laws and regulations that can influence adaptation and mitigation; and their ability to demonstrate leadership and innovative solutions in this area; (emphasis added)

Agenda 21 will reduce liberty in your community especially if they are a member of ICLEI!

We commit to climate change adaptation as a key consideration in all key local government development strategies and spatial development frameworks. Institutionally climate change should be located in a high level integrating office such as the Executive Mayor or City Manager’s office of the local authority.

It’s December 9, do you know where your mayor or city manager is? This means more liberty-killing regulations!

We will build our climate financing through generating funds internally and through seeking the development of innovative financing mechanisms that enable direct access to national and international funding for our registered adaptation actions. We support the creation of a local adaptation thematic window in the Green Climate Fund, and in so doing we will seek the support of national governments and multilateral funding institutions.

Join ICLEI and we’ll get you grant money! Even from foreign sources. No American city should be allowed to accept money from a foreign source other than a specific gift or bequest.

We will ensure cooperation with all levels of government to implement plans and measures at the local level that harness and strengthen approaches to multi-level governance and improve interdepartmental co-operation in order to more effectively address factors reaching beyond local government boundaries, including climate change hazards, trends like urbanisation and migration, and institutional and legal frameworks. In this regard we would support the appropriate representation of local governmental stakeholders, with relevant experience, on the Adaptation Committee of the Cancun Adaptation Framework. (Emphasis added)

“Multi-level governance” means regional governments and/or world government institutions. “Migration” could mean you must be a sanctuary city! “Appropriate representation of local government stakeholders” is more unconstitutional confederation forbidden by the Constitution!

We the signatories of the Durban Adaptation Charter designate the Mayor of Durban to present this Charter to the high level segment of COP17/CMP7 meeting here in Durban to urge Parties to urbanize the global climate agenda and subsequently to present this Charter to the World mayors Council on Climate Change to consider appropriate implementation mechanisms.

More proof that no US city can legally be a member of ICLEI!

History was made today as 114 mayors and other elected local leaders representing over 950 local governments from around the world, came together in the signing of the Durban Adaptation Charter(pdf document), a political commitment to strengthen local resilience to climate change

I would like to get the names of the US elected officials who signed this or participated in ICLEI’s part of the Waste of Time. I’ll try to find out. Meanwhile: Do you know where your mayor was this week?

There was one but of good news on the ICLEI website:

Our 550 U.S. local government members — 1,200 worldwide — are sharing solutions and helping one another stay connected to the explosion of local sustainability innovation. (emphasis added!)

There used to be over 600 members:

Oklahoma City, OK, has joined ICLEI as our 600th local government member in the United States. We’re pleased to reach this membership milestone with the addition of such a key city, which is the largest in Oklahoma, as well as the state capital. It’s worth taking a moment to look at what Oklahoma City has already accomplished in its efforts to become more sustainable, and what it hopes to achieve, especially through membership in ICLEI.

But it’s now down to 550 and Oklahoma City is on the Wall of Honor as an EX-ICLEI member. We need about 550 more cities to join her!

Sadly, my city is so addicted to the federal money/bribes that they have embraced Agenda 21 for all it’s worth. They will never turn their backs on ICLEI. The city and county are members and they live and breathe the propaganda.

Our local officials consider me a conspiracy theorist and a bit crazy. But, in the same breath they admit they have never read the documents that I have made freely available on this blog. When offered the documents they refuse. Sadly, they are just drones that have been programmed for the New World Order.

Maryland county charts a path out of Agenda 21

Last February I wrote about how one brave county was taking the lead in fighting Agenda 21 – the United Nations “Agenda for the 21st Century.” The government of Carroll County, Maryland, was the first governmental organization to revoke membership in ICLEI, the U.N. sponsored organization created to insinuate Agenda 21 “Sustainable Development” concepts (also known as “Smart Growth,” “Walkable Communities” and a host of other positive-sounding misnomers) into local government planning and zoning ordinances. ICLEI is the acronym for the International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives – Local Governments for Sustainability.

The County also abolished their “Office of Sustainability” and the commissioners undertook the arduous task of expunging the many references to “Sustainable Development” that were embedded, like metastasized cancer cells, throughout the County master plan.

This series of actions enraged local leftists, who used the left-sympathizing local newspaper as a platform to launch endless, dishonest, ad-hominem attacks so venomous that one letter to the editor complained “I’ve lived in Carroll County all my life and can’t recall when I have ever seen such nastiness directed toward an elected official!” Paraphrasing the McCarthy hearings he asked, “Have you no shame, you group of haters?”

But the hypocritical Left is fine with such tactics when directed at their enemies, so the attacks continue unabated. If this is what they are willing to do when their power remains relatively contained within the rule of law, what would they do with unchecked power? I think we already know.

As has been described elsewhere, ICLEI has partnership relationships with about 600 local governments nationwide.

Or rather, had relationships.

As a direct result of Carroll County’s actions, eighteen other counties throughout the United States have been inspired to revoke their membership in ICLEI. As of October, this now includes two counties in Washington and – are you ready – one in Massachusetts. Counting cities, 54 governmental entities have dropped out, about 10 percent of the total U.S. membership. This is a significant development, and may be what amounts to a quiet revolution.

Exercising their quintessential American rights, landowners in Houston County, Minnesota decided they had had enough five years ago and set out to reclaim their rights after the County Commissioners started making directives on how people could and could not use their own land. The fight continues today as threats, court proceedings, the stripping of Constitutional rights and lawyer’s fees fly frantically back and forth, egged on by Progressives in positions of power who are more interested in the environment and instituting Agenda 21 than they are in the rights of property owners. Cass Sunstein, is that you hiding behind the EPA again? Who’s a little Marxist?

Enter Houston County’s Commissioner who called the Constitution an ‘old document.’

“I know we’ve sworn to uphold the Constitution but it is an old document; times have changed,” stated Commissioner Tom Bjerke.

Well sir… If you think that the Constitution is outdated, perhaps you should take your viewpoint and move to a more ‘Progressive’ country in Europe, or perhaps Russia would be a better fit for you. I’m sure you would be much happier with like-thinking comrades. Don’t let the American door hit you in the behind on the way out.

The County Commissioners have told those citizens attending meetings to sit down and shut up. The local paper has told them that they have said enough and have quit taking letters to the editor longer than 500 words. But if you are on the side of the Progressives, well have your say! The media propaganda machine is in full swing skewing the truth as usual as I understand it.

In 2007, Houston County sued a young, newly married couple due to the new land use plan. The couple, who had just legally bought the home, was given four options to “settle the situation.” The couple was required to move their house fifty feet, purchase an additional 32 acres of land, sell their property to a neighbor, or tear their house down. Dealing with “impossible options,” the couple chose to appeal the ruling in the Minnesota Supreme Court. The court refused to hear their case, thus leading them to sell their property. The couple is now renting the very house they once owned.

That’s ridiculous and just wrong. And they didn’t even get to have their day in court, which probably wouldn’t have mattered any way since the County and State have already decided that this couple had no rights, Constitutional or otherwise. What a farce. This makes me boiling mad. And this couple is not alone, there are over 50 landowners in the area facing similar situations. Ask yourself, what would you do?

The County Commissioners have ignored the petition requesting they resign – over 700 landowners signed that petition. For a small county in the southeast corner of the state, that is a huge number of petitioners. These Commissioners have ignored all efforts by the people to have their voices heard concerning their Constitutional rights as landowners. They are told at meetings, in no uncertain terms, not to bring up the Constitution.

But these patriots are not giving up:

A small group of landowners decided that it was time to educate others, and themselves. With easy-to-read handouts of the Declaration of independence, quotes of the Founding Fathers, and parts of the Constitution, the group spent their evenings going from door to door, talking to their fellow citizens and asking for support.

And the march to take back their freedom has brought them to the Minnesota Federal Court, where they will plead their case. Fighting oppressive regulations and the blatant violation of Constitutional rights, these patriots are also fighting the insidious label by the Progressives of restricting their property’s use for “the public good.” That is Progressive lingo indicating that they: a) don’t feel there is any such thing as private property, b) the Constitution is irrelevant and c) landowners are too stupid to know what is good for them. If they do not prevail in Federal Court, property rights will be gutted and zoning rights will be the standard. Mull that over for a second… It renders the Constitution meaningless – individuals will no longer have the right to say what they can and can’t do with their own property – bureaucrats will wield that power. How very Marxist.

The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that “nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation”. Houston County is essentially saying that they aren’t taking the property. They’re just telling private property owners that the county, not the landowner, will control the use of private property.
This is unacceptable. If Houston County wants to be the final arbiter of what land can be used for, then it should be required to purchase the land from the landowners at a fair market price. If Houston County isn’t willing to purchase the land for a fair market price, then it shouldn’t have decision-making rights, final or otherwise.
Essentially, Houston County wants everything for nothing. That sounds more like what happened in the former Soviet Union than in the United States.

I’m sure there are tons of legal documents being issued. This cannot stand. I’m beginning to see the scene from The Patriot where Benjamin Martin says to plead with the King and plead again if necessary. But pleading has been done on this over and over to no avail. Better yet, this is reminiscent of Andrew Jackson and his Manifest Destiny. The question is if the Federal Court rules against Constitutional rights, will we allow this wicked writ of the Midwest to stand? Or will it be time to take a stand that will shake this country to its very foundations?

I will leave it to each of you to search your souls and decide what side you are on. Remember the principles of our founding fathers and the Constitution – remember what this country was founded upon. Here is the press release announcing the lawsuit:

The Houston County, Minnesota Landowners Concerned About Property Rights have endorsed new litigation to get government back in the hands of “We the People.” The Complaint, to be filed in the Minnesota Federal District Court, asserts that the Houston County Commissioners, the Board of Adjustment, and the Planning Commission, as well as Houston County Zoning Administrator Bob Scanlan and Environmental Service Director Richard (Rick) Frank are violating the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the landowners in Houston County.
The case, which will be filed during the week of October 3, 2011, argues that the County, Scanlan and Frank have violated the private property rights, the rights of due process, the rights to freedom of speech and association, the right to petition for redress of grievance and the right to equal protection of the law to similarly situated landowners in the application of the County’s Land Use Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The case is being brought under the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1871.
“We are not a litigious group,” said Robert Ideker, a Houston County landowner. “We have tried to work with the County; we have attended dozens of meetings and hearings; we have written dozens of letters, but no one will listen. This last year, we even tried to talk to the Commissioners individually to express our concerns about the protection of property rights, and some landowners were told that the Commissioners would not speak to them. These are our elected representatives; it boggles my mind that they won’t even hear what we have to say.”
“At some of the meetings, we are told not to talk about the Constitution and the protection it guarantees to U.S. citizens. We need to get government back in the hands of the people; we just want the use of our property, our land and buildings. As we have told the County numerous times, we are not against civil law, but if our property use is not harming our neighbors or the environment, we should be able to use our property. We aren’t disrespectful to the County, but they should listen to our side as well. We are disappointed that we have to resort to the federal court to get a fair hearing on our concerns.”
The disagreements with the County came to a head when concerned citizens who had been deprived of their property rights went to the county officials, only to be rebuffed for their concerns. The landowners, often referred to as Landowners Concerned About Property Rights, then drafted a resolution, which was signed by 700 of the County’s landowners, that urged the County Commissioners to recognize the protections for private property and property use. That petition was presented to the Commission in 2007. The Commissioners never responded.
The Concerned Landowners filed litigation in state court challenging the land use plan and zoning ordinance in 2010, but during the research and discovery in the case, many landowners learned that the issues between the County and its citizens were significantly deeper than the land use plan; those issues go to the heart of the guarantees in the U.S. Constitution that are protected by the Federal Civil Rights Act. That is why the landowners are dismissing the state court case and endorsing the Federal District Court Civil Rights case. Dismissal of the state court case does not mean we agree with the County, it means we want to resolve all the claims at once and that can only be done in Federal Court.
“Civil rights are the rights belonging to an individual by virtue of his or her U.S. citizenship, especially the fundamental freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and by subsequent acts of Congress, including property rights, civil liberties, due process, equal protection of the laws, and freedom from discrimination,” explained Ideker. “Specifically, section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act makes monetary and equitable relief available to those whose constitutional rights had been violated by a bureaucrat or official acting under State authority.
The Federal Civil Rights Act stands as one of the most powerful authorities under which federal courts may protect those whose constitutionally guaranteed rights are deprived. Section 1983 provides a way individuals can sue to stop past and prevent future violations of constitutionally protected rights. Section 1983 applies to both governmental employees as individuals and to state and local boards and commissions acting under state authority. It requires that the individuals or boards be responsible for the decisions they make, and not simply hide behind a claim that they are ‘following the law.’”
“It is disappointing that it has come to federal court litigation, but there is nowhere else to turn. We would still be open to talking to the County officials to try to come to a resolution,” said county land owner Tom Groeschner. “But we can’t really talk to them if they won’t listen to us. Don’t we have to put government back in the hands of ‘we the people?’”

EXCLUSIVE: EPA Ponders Expanded Regulatory Power In Name of ‘Sustainable Development’

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency wants to change how it analyzes problems and makes decisions, in a way that would give it vastly expanded power to regulate businesses, communities and ecosystems in the name of “sustainable development,” the centerpiece of a global United Nations conference slated for Rio de Janeiro next June.
The major focus of the EPA thinking is a weighty study the agency commissioned last year from the National Academies of Science. Published in August, the study, entitled “Sustainability and the U.S. EPA,” cost nearly $700,000 and involved a team of a dozen outside experts and about half as many National Academies staff.
Its aim: how to integrate sustainability “as one of the key drivers within the regulatory responsibilities of EPA.” The panel who wrote the study declares part of its job to be “providing guidance to EPA on how it might implement its existing statutory authority to contribute more fully to a more sustainable-development trajectory for the United States.”
Or, in other words, how to use existing laws to new ends.

According to the study itself, the adoption of the new “sustainability framework” will make the EPA more “anticipatory” in its approach to environmental issues, broaden its focus to include both social and economic as well as environmental “pillars,” and “strengthen EPA as an organization and a leader in the nation’s progress toward a sustainable future.”
Whatever EPA does with its suggestions, the study emphasizes, will be “discretionary.” But the study urges EPA to “create a new culture among all EPA employees,” and hire an array of new experts in order to bring the sustainability focus to every corner of the agency and its operations. Changes will move faster “as EPA’s intentions and goals in sustainability become clear to employees,” the study says.
The National Academies and the EPA held a meeting last week in Washington to begin public discussion of the study.

The Transformation of Government

Where did governments — at every level — get the idea that they are supposed to manage the affairs of their citizens? Governments were first created in America to serve their citizens. Now, citizens must ask their government for permission to build a house, to drive a car, to open a business, or to buy a gun. The role and authority of government has changed over the years from an entity that serves the needs of its citizens to an entity that manages the affairs of its citizens.
In recent years, especially since the emergence of Agenda 21 in 1992, government has assumed the role of forcing its citizens into lifestyles that government dictates. Agenda 21 is a set of policy recommendations designed to achieve what it defines to be “sustainable development.” The document claims that this transformation of society is necessary to save the planet.
One of Agenda 21′s first policy recommendations is to “…ensure sustainable management of all urban settlements…” (Article 7:15), which means to force people off the land and into high-density, planned communities. Consequently, government decided that it is a bad thing for citizens to move to the suburbs. Government labeled this practice as “urban sprawl,” and condemned it. Moreover, government continues to enact laws to prohibit or severely discourage people from moving to the country.
Local governments are encouraged, or forced, to adopt Comprehensive Land Use Plans that often create “Urban Boundary Zones,” beyond which municipal services will not be provided. To discourage “urban sprawl,” some local plans even require up to 40 acres to build a single home outside a UBZ. Even then, the government often dictates the maximum size of the structure, the percentage of the land that must be left in its natural condition, and the location of the structure in relation to any stream or hill. In some instances, government can even require a home builder to purchase open land and dedicate it to the government as mitigation for despoiling what government says is a wetland or critical habitat.

Why does government think it has either the wisdom or the right to dictate to a private citizen where he should live?
Government management of lifestyles doesn’t stop with dictating where its citizens must live. With the introduction of the International Green Construction Code, government will be able to force private citizens to use the paint and building material it dictates, as well as the plumbing fixtures and appliances it dictates. Moreover, under the specifications of this onerous code, government can require “Smart Meters,” and even specify the level of natural light that must be available in the building. NOTE: How many of you were duped or forced in to Smart Meters? I was.
This transformation of the function of local government is partially the result of requirements dictated by state governments, but primarily, it is the result of pressure from the federal government. The federal government gave the American Planning Association more than $5 million to produce model legislation for state governments to adopt. The APA produced “Growing Smart: Legislative Guidebook.” The federal government offered states a variety of grants to adopt and implement the legislation promoted in the APA’s guidebook. The federal government has provided a variety of grants to local governments and to non-government organizations, to promote and implement the recommendations set forth in Agenda 21. (NOTE: This is why I call my local officials useful idiots)
Here is a copy of the Growing Smart Legislative Guidebook. Now you can see what is being forced on your local government. Read it, challenge your local officials and get them to stop the madness.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development offers a “Partners for Sustainable Communities” grant program that has Agenda 21′s sustainable development projects working in 49 of the 50 states. The Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency also has grant programs that promote the implementation of Agenda 21′s sustainable development recommendations.
Perhaps more than any other influence, Agenda 21 is responsible for transforming government from a servant of the people to the master of the people. Agenda 21 is the outgrowth of a fundamental transformation of philosophy established in 1976 at the United Nations Conference on Human
Settlements. That conference adopted a document which said:

Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice…. Public control of land use is therefore indispensible.

The United States government accepted and endorsed this document with signatures provided by William K Reilly, who was to become the Administrator of the EPA, and by Carla A. Hills, who was to become U.S. Trade Representative who negotiated the World Trade Organization and the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The United States also endorsed “Our Common Future,” the report of the 1987 U.N. World Commission on the Environment, as well as Agenda 21, produced by the 1992 U.N. Conference on Environment and Development. Since the 1970s, the United States environmental policy has been guided by the United Nations. These policies are constructed on the Marxist idea that government exists for the purposes of ensuring that all people benefit equally from the earth’s resources. Marx says that government should abolish private property, and should take from those who have the ability to produce wealth, and give it to those people who do not produce wealth.
This is the objective of Agenda 21. This is the ultimate goal of sustainable development. This is happening in your community.

If you have been a reader of this blog for any amount of time, you are aware of what Agenda 21 is and its ultimate goal. If you do not know about Agenda 21, please go back and read the previous posts and that will get you up to speed.

Now it’s time to look at the connections and see how this whole thing works and why it’s working. This article is from the American Policy Center. However, the original article contained no links to back up what they were saying. I found and linked just about everything I could that would verify and expand on the facts asserted in this article. NOTE: Some of the links are to .pdf documents.

This is great information for you to use and arm yourself with. Share this with anyone that cares about our future. Use this to explain Agenda 21. Rip off the warm fuzzy labels like a band aid. Hurts for a minute but then you can see the ugly truth of Agenda 21.

ATTACK OF THE NGOS

One rarely hears of it. Few elected officials raise an eyebrow. The media makes no mention of it. But power is slowly slipping away from our elected representatives. In much the same way Mao Tse-tung had his Red Guards, so the UN has its NGOs They may well be your masters of tomorrow, and you don’t even know who or what they are.

There are, in fact, two parallel, complimentary forces operating in the world, working together to advance the global Sustainable Development agenda, ultimately heading toward UN global governance. Those two forces are the UN itself and non-governmental organizations (NGOs.)

Beginning with the United Nations, the infrastructure pushing the Sustainable Development agenda is a vast, international matrix. At the top of the heap is the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP). Created in 1973 by the UN General Assembly, the UNEP is the catalyst through which the global environmental agenda is implemented. Virtually all of the international environmental programs and policy changes that have occurred globally in the past three decades are the result of UNEP efforts.

But the UNEP doesn’t operate on its own. Influencing it and helping to write policy are thousands of non- governmental organizations (NGOs). These are private groups which seek to implement a specific political agenda. Through the UN infrastructure, particularly through the UNEP, they have great power.

The phrase “non-governmental organization” came into use with the establishment of the United Nations Organization in 1945 with provisions in Article 71 of Chapter 10 of the United Nations Charter. The term describes a consultative role for organizations that are neither government nor member states of the UN.

NGOs are not just any private group hoping to influence policy. True NGOs are officially sanctioned by the United Nations. Such status was created by UN Resolution #1296, giving NGOs official “Consultative” status to the UN. That means they can not only sit in on international meetings, but can actively participate in creating policy, right along side government representatives.

There are numerous classifications of NGO’s. The two most common are “Operational” and “Advocacy.”

Operational NGOs are involved with designing and implementing specific projects such as feeding the hungry or organizing relief projects. These groups can be religious or secular. They can be community-based, national or international. The International Red Cross falls under the category of an operational NGO.

Advocacy NGOs are promoting a specific political agenda. They lobby government bodies, use the news media and organize activist-oriented events, all designed to raise awareness and apply pressure to promote their causes which include environmental issues, human rights, poverty, education, children, drinking water, and population control – to name a few.

Amnesty International is the largest human rights advocacy NGO in the world. Organized globally, it has more than 1.8 million members, supporters and subscribers in over 150 countries.

Today these NGOs have power nearly equal to member nations when it comes to writing U.N. policy. Just as civil service bureaucrats provide the infrastructure for government operation, so to do NGOs provide such infrastructure for the U.N. In fact, most U.N. policy is first debated and then written by the NGOs and presented to national government officials at international meetings for approval and ratification. It is through this process that the individual political agendas of the NGO groups enter the international political arena.

The policies sometimes come in the form of international treaties or simply as policy guidelines. Once the documents are presented to and accepted by representatives of member states and world leaders, obscure political agendas of private organizations suddenly become international policy, and are then adopted as national and local laws by U.N. member states. Through this very system, Sustainable Development has grown from a collection of ideas and wish lists of a wide variety of private organizations to become the most widely implemented tool in the U.N.’s quest for global governance.

Who are the NGOs?

The three most powerful organizations influencing UNEP policy are three international NGOs. They are the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the International Union for Conservation and Nature (IUCN). These three groups provide the philosophy, objectives and methodology for the international environmental agenda through a series of official reports and studies such as: World Conservation Strategy, published in 1980 by all three groups; Global Biodiversity Strategy, published in 1992; and Global Biodiversity Assessment, published in 1996.

These groups not only influence UNEP’s agenda, they also influence a staggering array of international and national NGOs around the world. Jay Hair, former head of the National Wildlife Federation, one of the U.S.’s largest environmental organizations, was also the president of the IUCN. Hair later turned up as co-chairman of the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development.

The WWF maintains a network of national chapters around the world, which influence, if not dominate, NGO activities at the national level. It is at the national level where NGOs agitate and lobby national governments to implement the policies that the IUCN, WWF and WRI get written into the documents that are advanced by the UNEP. In this manner, the world grows ever closer to global governance.

Other than treaties, how does UNEP policy become U.S. policy? Specifically, the IUCN has an incredible mix of U.S. government agencies along with major U.S. NGOs as members. Federal agencies include the Department of State, Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Park Service (NPS) the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and the Fish and Wildlife service. These agencies send representatives to all meetings of the UNEP.

Also attending those meetings as active members are NGO representatives. These include activist groups such as the Environmental Defense Fund, National Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, Zero Population growth, Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, the National Education Association, and hundreds more. These groups all have specific political agendas they desire to become law. Through their official contact with government agencies working side-by-side with the UNEP, their political wish lists become official government policy.

How the NGO wish list becomes law how can this be, you ask? How can private organizations control policy and share equal power to elected officials? Here’s how it works.

When the dust settled over the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, five major documents were forced into international policy that will change forever how national policy is made. More importantly, the Rio Summit produced the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). UNCED outlined a new procedure for shaping policy. The procedure has no name, nor is it dictatorial. It is perhaps best described as “controlled consensus” or “affirmative acquiescence.”

Put in simple street language, the procedure really amounts to a collection of NGOs, bureaucrats and government officials, all working together toward a predetermined outcome. They have met together in meetings, written policy statements based on international agreements, which they helped to create and now they are about to impose laws and regulations that will have dire effects on people’s lives and national economies. Yet, with barely a twinge of conscience they move forward with the policy, saying nothing. No one objects. It’s understood. Everyone goes along, because this is a barbaric procedure that insures their desired outcome without the ugliness of bloodshed, or even debate. It is the procedure used to advance the radical, global environmental agenda.

The UNCED procedure utilizes four elements of power: international government (UN); national governments; non-governmental organizations, and philanthropic institutions.

The NGOs are the key to the process. They create policy ideas from their own private agendas. The policy idea is then adopted by one or more U.N. organizations for consideration at a regional conference. Each conference is preceded by an NGO forum designed specifically to bring NGO activists into the debate. There they are fully briefed on the policy and then trained to prepare papers and lobby and influence the official delegates of the conference. In this way, the NGOs control the debate and assure the policy is adopted.

The ultimate goal of the conference is to produce a “Convention,” which is a legally- drawn policy statement on specific issues. Once the “Convention” is adopted by the delegates, it is sent to the national governments for official ratification. Once that is done, the new policy becomes international law.

Then the real work begins. Compliance must be assured. Again, the NGOs come into the picture. They are responsible for pressuring Congress to write national laws in order to comply with the treaty. One trick used to assure compliance is to write into the laws the concept of third-party lawsuits.

NGOs now regularly sue the government and private citizens to force policy. Their legal fees and even damage awards are paid to them out of the government treasury. Through a coordinated process, hundreds of NGOs are at work in Congress, in every state government and in every local community, advancing some component of the global environmental agenda.

However, the United States Constitution’s Tenth Amendment bars the Federal Government from writing laws that dictate local policy. To bypass this roadblock, NGOs encourage Congress to include special grants to help states and communities to fund the new policy, should they want to “voluntarily” comply.

Should a community or state refuse to participate “voluntarily,” local chapters of the NGOs are trained to go into action. They begin to pressure city councils or county commissioners to accept the grants and implement the policy. Should they meet resistance, they begin to issue news releases telling the community their elected officials are losing millions of dollars for the community. The pressure continues until the grant is finally taken and the policy becomes local law.

Americans must begin to understand that the debate over environmental issues have very little to do with clean water and air and much more to do with the establishment of power. NGOs are gaining it, locally elected officials are losing it, as the structure of American government changes to accommodate the private agendas of NGOs.

COLORADO – “Montezuma County Sheriff Dennis Spruell is waiting for his conscience to tell him: Should he start handing out tickets this week to U.S. Forest Service agents who are closing backcountry roads? Should he cut locks on gates that shut off access to public lands?

The fact that a county sheriff is considering such actions against the federal government is a good indication that more than a run-of-the-mill dustup over road and trail closures on public lands is erupting in the far southwest corner of the state…

In recent weeks, protesters have marched on the local Forest Service and BLM office located between Cortez and Dolores, calling Forest Service officials “government pukes.”

OREGON – (3/2/11, by Sara Foster, NewsWithViews.com) “Josephine County, Oregon -When Gil Gilbertson was sworn in as Sheriff of Josephine County, a rural county in southwest Oregon, in 2007, he had 30 years of law enforcement experience behind him, both in the United States and with various military missions overseas.

So when citizens of the county began coming to him complaining of “harassment” by U.S. Forest Service law enforcement officers (LEO), he said he’d investigate their concerns, figuring he could work things out with the local ranger district. After all, as the county’s chief law enforcement officer he was in the “club” and moreover had gotten along with the “feds” — though he disagreed with their road closing policies and other efforts to keep the public off public lands which cover 68 percent of the rural county.

He contacted the local ranger district for information, but instead of answers he was bluntly told that No, they couldn’t, wouldn’t discuss anything about any complaints with him, but he could file a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)… Gilbertson sent a blistering letter to the District Ranger of the Wild Rivers Ranger District in Caves Junction… ‘As the CLEO [chief law enforcement officer] of this county, elected by the citizens, saddled with the expectation and responsibility to safeguard their rights, I fully intend to uphold the laws against any threat, inappropriate or unlawful actions against them…”.

UTAH – (10/6/10, San Juan Record) “Hunters in San Juan County face a number of roads that have been closed on National Forests. ‘We have been hunting this area since my dad was a kid,’ said one Blanding resident, who asked that his name not be used. ‘It seems like they have closed a thousand roads’.”

MONTANA – ( 8/26/10, Helenair.com) “The Helena National Forest Service has truly been busy this summer. They have had excavators up in the forests removing roads and portions of roads for the sole purpose of making them impossible to navigate. These are not maintained Forest Service roads, yet the excuse they used was to save money in the long run by taking these roads off of their maintenance list. The sole reason for these road closures is to prevent sportsmen from accessing hunting grounds.”

IDAHO – (6/16/11, Capitalpress.com) “A county government in Idaho has filed a legal complaint against the U.S. Forest Service over road closures that allegedly limit residents’ mobility and discourage tourists. Valley County has asked a federal judge to declare the agency’s travel management plan for the Payette National Forest as unlawful due to violations of environmental and administrative law.

“They didn’t do it right,” said Matthew Williams, the county’s attorney. “No appeals, no hearings. They just did it.”

The road closures by the Forest Service have also been happening in California, Nevada and other states.

Former Sheriff Richard Mack, in his book “County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope” summed it up when he said “The founders of America warned us that we would lose more freedoms from gradual encroachments by those in authority than by sudden usurptions from any foreign enemy…The COUNTY SHERIFF is our nation’s LAST LINE OF DEFENSE, for the preservation and return to, fundamental and individual liberty.”

The USDA (a member of the new Rural Council and the IUCN, an organization that promotes U.N.’s Agenda 21) used your tax dollars to send David Ferrell, Director of Law Enforcement and Investigations, to Canada for the 9th Conference of the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE) where “… environmental compliance and enforcement experts from over 50 countries gathered to identify new actions to promote enforcement cooperation to…support the shift to sustainable development…”

On INECE’s website, it states: “Agenda 21: An international mandate for building compliance and enforcement capacity as an essential element of environmental management… Agenda 21, Chapter 8, Section 8.21. Each country should develop integrated strategies to maximize compliance with its laws and regulations relating to sustainable development. Does this seem like the Forest Service might “promote enforcement” to make U.S. citizens comply with Agenda 21? It’s important to know what the USDA is “participating” in:

“INECE is striving for a global network which starts first at local levels, networking among key institutions of government, the police, environment agencies, sectoral agencies; second among local groups and with related regional and national groups within nations; third, between governments and NGOs; fourth internationally in bilateral cooperation; fifth regionally among nations among all relevant groups; and finally, sixth, on a global scale among the various groups as needs arise and catalyzing ideas and approaches and cooperation around the globe.

The mandate for environmental compliance and enforcement was introduced as a direct result of the consensus at the International Workshop which gave the participants the confidence to move toward this very important international statement. Language in Agenda 21 empowered UN organizations to more actively support compliance and enforcement institution building activities.”

Regarding any mandate for USDA “enforcements” to close off roads, forests and public lands, remember the Tenth Amendment “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Sheriff Mack sums this up best “…local officials have the right, the power, and the duty to stand against the far reaching incursions by our own Federal Government.” Mack cited a Supreme Court case in which Justice Scalia wrote a ruling for the majority that stated “The Federal Government may not compel the states to enact or enforce a federal regulatory program.”

The Road to Rio is America’s Road to Ruin

The globalists at the United Nations are busy preparing their agenda for the Rio + 20 Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which will be held on June 4 – 6, 2012. They have prepared a draft entitled “Enabling a Flourishing Earth: Challenges for the Green Economy, Opportunities for Global Governance”. It is truly amazing that this is not being devised in Dr. Evil’s hidden lair in the depths of some inactive volcano or on a deserted island. This has been made available for everyone to read. It reveals the true intent; the hopes, dreams and aspirations for this new world order that they have been working on for twenty plus years. The entire document can be viewed here.

In the document they make reference to the Earth Charter, which is purported to be “an ethical framework for a more just, sustainable and peaceful world”.

They understand that their “green” initiative has not progressed as quickly as they had hoped it would. Cap and trade schemes that involve redistribution of wealth from developed countries to developing countries based on a market price on carbon dioxide emissions have not generated sufficient revenue. A new or additional economic or market solution should be implemented, because humankind has transgressed against nature. Humans have been treating nature as a commodity. The “loss of biodiversity, desertification, climate change and the disruption of a number of natural cycles are among the costs of our disregard for nature and the integrity of its ecosystems and life-supporting processes. As recent scientific work suggests, a number of planetary boundaries are being transgressed and others risk being so in a business-as-usual world”, according to the U.N. Secretary General’s report to the U.N. on Harmony with Nature.

Their proposal is to create a new world organization, naming it the World Environmental Organisation(WEO) which will have a global legitimacy and mandate to have jurisdiction over what are considered the “common goods”, defined as “fresh water, healthy soil and clean air, but also the oceans, the atmosphere and diversity of life” since it would be difficult to implement or trade on these “common goods” that are not privately owned or traded on markets.

This document states “Our proposed WEO should be mandated with a trusteeship function over global public goals and common goods”. Much like a legal guardian is appointed in the case of a person who is unable to represent him/ herself, such as an infant, insane or senile person, they are proposing such a legal guardian to represent and give “legal voice for the otherwise voiceless environment”.

For the WEO to have global legitimacy it will have to be widely democratic, representative and participatory by all members of the United Nations.

They intend to focus on the participation of the estimated 1.9 billion youths of the world, and their access to various forms of media, to implement these goals for the management and equitable distribution of these “common goods”. The education of our children is being advanced by the International Baccalaureate Programmes, with the stated goal of creating good global citizens, as explained in a previous article Is the International Baccalaureate Programme Co-opting Your Child?

To fund this fair and equitable distribution of wealth they are proposing a “Global Commons Trust Fund” that would impose a tax or levy on any person or entity that uses a “global common”. Finally, to raise additional revenue they also propose a global tax on financial transactions. Below is a video of Richard Trumka speaking to the European Socialist Party last year about his support of a “Robin Hood” tax.

The United Nations is intent on utilizing social, environmental and economic justice to exact taxes or levies on the water we drink, the air that we breathe, and the rivers, lakes, streams, seas and oceans in which we fish or upon which we navigate. In the context of this current draft from the United Nations, it might be interesting to re-read a previous article on Executive Order 13547. This is all fitting together quite too neatly.

We must impress upon our representatives, elected or appointed, to withdraw from the United Nations immediately. American’s must wake up to this imminent threat to our freedom and security, in fact to our very existence. If we go down, the world will soon follow. I fear this is the true intent of the Rio + 20 Conference.

Why should you care?

Social engineering and behavior modification are some of the true objectives being implemented under the guise of environmental and climate protection. This is accomplished by exploiting people's desire to maintain a healthy and lasting environment in the name of “sustainability.” Here is an example of how ICLEI changes behavior, jut like another organization called “Fostering Sustainable Behavior”.

It is also ICLEI’s job to implement United Nation’s policies that restructure our representative form of government through global and regional development (< click and then view slide show). Policies and programs take control from our representative government and put it into the hands of regional, non-elected boards. This allows elected officials to shirk their responsibilities. It turns us into a soviet system that is based on Regionalism. It facilitates both communism and fascism. Representative government with defined limits is the basis of a free and just society.

Cool Mayors Fire-up Hot Debate

ICLEI methods include infiltrating local government. Organization representatives seek to be hired into local planning departments or they provide “toolkits” to staff. Too many elected officials such as Cool Mayors allow ICLEI to influence policy changes through the use of funding incentives and rewards. While some of these policies sound good on the surface, they result in consequences such as:

High-density housing scams
Traffic congestion
Open space where access is not allowed
Government “partnering” with favored private businesses and non-profit agencies, using your tax money
Undermining Constitutional administration of government
Managed control over your life
Mismanagement of public utilities
Prohibitions on natural resource management leading to increased fire hazards, lack of water, and private property restrictions,
Increased taxes, fees, regulations and restrictions

Governors and State Legislatures who enact the Benefit Corporation Legislation either condone the transformation of America, or they are ignorant sheeple who are too dumb to hold elected office. Either way, it is up to us, the people, to educate them and find at least one representative in each state who will introduce new legislation to make Benefit Corporations and Sustainable Development/Agenda 21 null and void. Then, for those who do not support abolishing the Benefit Corporations and Sustainable Development/Agenda 21, we must organize and support the candidate who is running against them so that we can kick their butts out of office.

Background Information:

Conjoining government with private corporations is commonly referred to as ‘crony capitalism,’ ‘public-private partnerships,’ ‘corporatism’ and now ‘Benefit Corporations.’

“Benefit Corporations are a new class of corporation that are required to create a material positive impact on society and the environment and to meet higher standards of accountability and transparency. Model legislation was drafted by Bill Clark from Drinker Biddle & Reath.”

Packaged in the same rhetoric we hear from Obama, it begs the question, “Accountability and transparency to whom?”

Regardless of what they call it, it all leads to a fundamental transformation of the United States of America – away from the free market system that our country was founded upon and transforming it into a fascistic form of dictatorial totalitarian rule. We have seen Obama accelerate that transformation and now we discover that Progressives have been working at the state and local levels to advance their agenda and destroy our free market system through Benefit Corporations and Sustainable Development/Agenda 21. For those who do not yet realize what is at stake, one word encompasses all of it – freedom.

Take a look at the logo for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Benefit Corporation logo (B Corporation – “Using the Power of Business to Solve Social and Environmental Problems”). Coincidence?

In the U.S. today, we see private corporations joining with the Federal government and doing its bidding. Think of Obama and GE, Facebook, Google, Monsanto, banks, major utility companies and many other large corporations. Liberal CEOs who have jumped on the Progressive bandwagon are just as dangerous as the Progressive politicians we elected into office.

Unfortunately these corporations are in our homes and our lives through the products and services we use… and those that Obama’s government forces down our throats (e.g. the SMART meter that monitors and records energy usage in our homes every minute of every day; hazardous light bulbs that are now mandated; Facebook that now monitors us and our children through facial recognition and more).

Brief History Lesson for Governors and State Legislators:

Fascism:

1. A) A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism. [Note: Eric Holder’s DOJ actively practices racism against Caucasians.]

B) A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.

2. Oppressive, dictatorial control.

Corporatism:

“Theory and practice of organizing the whole of society into corporate entities subordinate to the state. According to the theory, employers and employees would be organized into industrial and professional corporations serving as organs of political representation and largely controlling the people and activities within their jurisdiction. Its chief spokesman was Adam Müller (b. 1779—d. 1829), court philosopher to the Fürst (prince) von Metternich, who conceived of a “class state” in which the classes operated as guilds, or corporations, each controlling a specific function of social life. An Italian politician who led the National Fascist Party and became the 40th Prime Minister of Italy in 1922.

Give him an inch and he’ll take a mile… 95% of America’s land area to be exact – rural America.

You might be thinking this doesn’t affect you because you don’t live in ‘rural America,’ but think again because the agenda in play is to eliminate all property rights in the U.S.

The first order of business is to drive out the 16% of our population who currently live and work in rural America. The final steps to implement the “Agenda for the 21st Century” have begun.

Decades in the making (long before Obama became President), the framework was slowly integrated into the U.S. all the way down to the local level in the form of environmental programs (e.g. Sustainable Development, Smart Growth). With Obama in office, the race to the finish line has begun with a President whose stated goal is “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

Obama’s administration has initiated the final phase through Executive Order (EO) 13575 and new oppressive regulations. Here’s a taste of the first steps of Obama’s takeover…

FOOD: Family farms are facing an all-out assault on their very existence by Obama’s administration. From his Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) proposing to regulate agricultural vehicles as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs), to armed raids at raw food stores, to regulating vendors at Farmers Markets, there’s a war being waged against those who produce and provide food for the people of our country. What the FMCSA is trying to do will end family farms in our country whose children contribute to planting and harvesting their crops; their children would not be able to operate agricultural vehicles if classified as CMVs. Although the FMCSA is backing off due to pressure from the public and from Senators, they’ll try again when they think we’re not paying attention.

WATER: We all remember that the government denied water to the farms in California’s Central Valley which utterly destroyed the crops and the families who lived there. Government control and manipulation of our water supply is hitting farms with a vengeance and it doesn’t stop there… it extends to our cities, as reported by Janet C. Phelan in her article, “Homeward Bound – Water As A Weapon.”

“At the same time that the economic realities are keeping us close to home, the government is amassing campaigns, in cities across the country, to get us back on tap water and off bottled water.

The proponents of tap cite a number of reasons that they prefer tap to bottled – drinking bottled water contributes to the emission of greenhouse gases (because the water has to be transported); the increasing amount of plastic bottles in landfills; the sapping of aquifers by bottled; and that selling water guts efforts to make safe drinking water a basic human right. There is increasing concern that chemicals leaching from plastic bottles into the contained water may, in fact, be carcinogenic. Numerous reports recently peppered the main stream press alluding to high bacteria levels in bottled water and a low fluoride level in bottled water.”

Through FOIA requests and relentless investigative reporting, Ms. Phelan discovered multiple, parallel water-pipes in Medford, Oregon. When she tried to determine why there was a second water pipeline and what it could possibly be used for, she was met with denials and lies. What she did discover was this (think ‘Michael Chertoff – former DHS Chief – who is also connected to the company that manufactures the naked body scanners used in our airports’)…

“Other indications point to a cover up concerning water pipes. Larry Chertoff, who is one of the top water guys in the country, was interviewed by this reporter and vehemently denied that the double water line system exists. When emailed the Spokane blueprints attached to this story, he declined further comment. Larry Chertoff, by the way, is the “secret cousin” of former Department of Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff. Larry Chertoff is currently a director of Alinda Capital Partners LLC, the largest independent infrastructure private equity fund, and has had more than 30 years experience in the public and private sector working on water projects. He was chief economist for New York City’s Environmental Protection Administration. He was also the US correspondent to Global Water Intelligence, as well as an advisor to the NYC Comptroller on watershed protection issues. He is a founding Board member of the Environmental Action Coalition, Water Industry Council and Water Institute of the National Council for Public Private partnering and a member of the National Research Council’s Water and Technology Board Committee of Privatization of Water Services in the United States.”

“We call Larry a “secret” cousin, for he vigorously denies a familial relationship with DHS Michael Chertoff, although Larry’s ex-wife has copped to the fact that they are, indeed, cousins. Michael Chertoff was a co-author of the U.S. Patriot Act, which has legalized the use of poisons and delivery systems, in the infamous Section 817.”

LAND: When our government mentions “conservation,” “wetlands,” “wildlife” and “sustainable,” what they mean is they are taking possession and control of the land and the American people will not be allowed to inhabit those areas. Here’s an excerpt from Obama’s White House Rural Council Report:

“The Administration has made significant investments in expanding outdoor opportunities to create sustained economic growth in rural America, including enrolling 7.1 million acres in the Conservation Reserve Program, which retires environmentally sensitive farm lands and has set aside 300,000 acres in the program specifically to benefit game species; partnering military with state and local governments, land trusts, and landowners to secure conservation easements through the Readiness and Environmental Protection Initiative (REPI) which protects more than 170,000 acres; removing 86,927 tons of biomass from our National Forests to produce energy; and working with farmers to restore wetlands habitat on 470,000 acres in the Gulf coastal plain following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in order to conserve migratory waterfowl.”

In Wisconsin:

“The Landscape Stewards program, a partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, will leverage up to $200,000 to support coalition-based conservation efforts beginning next year, with each grant matched by equal contributions from the coalition partners – part of President Obama’sAmerica’s Great Outdoors initiative.”

Also, we must not forget that when the government decided to blow up the Birds Point levee and flood people out of their houses and farms, Obama’s Federal government offered to buy their land… and George Soros was buying up the flooded farms too.

The Obama administration has been working hand-in-glove with the United Nations (UN) to end property rights in America and transition to Global Governance. Once achieved, the citizens of this country will become slaves to the colonial rulers – the globalists who will institute a world-wide Socialist economy under Communist/Totalitarian rule. If you still question whether this is really happening, then define “Global Governance.” What do you think it means?

If we still doubt what Obama and his administration is doing, all we need to do is listen to what they say and look at what they do.

USDA – New Programs:

USDA and EPA Create New Partnership to Improve Drinking Water Systems and Develop Workforce in Rural Communities.

“The agreement we are announcing today represents an exciting partnership between USDA and EPA that will greatly enhance our investments in water systems and also develop a skilled workforce to oversee them,” said USDA Rural Utilities Service Administrator Jonathan Adelstein.”

Biomass Production Projects to Promote Renewable Energy Development and Create Jobs in Rural America.

“WASHINGTON, July 26, 2011 – Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced today the creation of four additional Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) project areas in six states to expand the availability of non-food crops to be used in the manufacturing of liquid biofuels. The four project areas set aside acres in California, Kansas, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington for the production of renewable energy crops.”

What the government is saying here is that they will be taking over enormous areas of land in five states (for starters – and in addition to all the land they’ve already taken from the American people) to create “biofuel” farms. Say goodbye to farms that were providing food for the people of this country and say goodbye to private property owners in the areas the government is taking over.

Don’t be fooled by their claim that what they’re doing will create jobs and strengthen the middle class. Obama has been using that lie for the past 2 ½ years to push his agenda through and weaken the middle class, thinking that Americans are too stupid to realize what’s really going on. Obamacare was advertised as a job creator; where are the jobs? The trillion dollar stimulus was supposed to create jobs; where are they? And the list goes on.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. So whenever you hear Obama claim that his programs will create jobs or strengthen the middle class, know that he uses this lie to mask his takeover which is actually designed to eliminate the middle class and destroy liberty and freedom in this country.

That’s what Obama means by “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

Land, food and water… make no mistake – the government is taking those things away from the American people. Based on their performance to date, we know that the purpose of the takeover is NOT to benefit the citizens of this country. It is to fulfill their “Agenda for the 21st Century” of ending private property rights, destroying our country and placing it under Totalitarian government rule which, throughout history, has always led to unspeakable poverty, starvation and enslavement of the citizens.

Making food and water a “civil right” under government control (versus under control by We The People as it is in a free market system) means giving the government the power to tell you what and how much food and water you are allowed to receive, if any. Put another way – if government controls your access to food and water, they control you and can require you to do whatever they dictate in order to receive the food and water that only they can provide.

Just ask yourself, “Why is Obama putting programs in place that take control of our land, food and water and displaces the people who currently own property in those areas?”… and “Why is Obama eliminating food crops to create non-food crops… will that maintain America’s food supply or decrease it?”

In June 2011, President Obama signed the White House Rural Council. To make good on the promise to control rural life and its resources, on August 8, 2011, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the EPA announced a national partnership “to improve rural drinking water and wastewater systems.”

The Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, who chairs the White House Rural Council and thus controls 16% of U.S. land, “is working to coordinate USDA programs across the government and encourage public-private partnerships, to improve economic conditions and create jobs in rural communities.” I guess the government has finished “saving or creating the three million jobs” in urban areas, they are now moving into rural areas. Here is UN Agenda 21 in action through its Hallmark public-private partnerships, to “fundamentally change” and control the use of water, resources, and agricultural land.

So, Friday night, in an obviously timed event, S&P downgrades the US credit rating from AAA to AA+ with a negative outlook despite the White House crying foul over some bogus math error. This is a move that should have been done long ago as the US’ credit rating in all reality should actually be ‘junk.’ I don’t believe Moody’s and Fitch will follow suit. At least not yet – they are in bed with this administration – bought and paid for. All Moody’s has done is label our credit with a negative outlook. We will just continue as we have with massive debt and with no sane attempt to reduce it – just more and more spending. In fact, our Progressive leaders are revving up the Cloward and Piven model to bring America to her knees once and for all. A Marxist hellish utopia to die for. Enter QE3, spend, repeat. And don’t believe the pundits when they tell you the S&P is non-partisan. The first thing out of their lead speaker was to blame both political parties, but more so the Republicans for not wanting ‘revenue’ hikes, while he did emphasize we needed a plan to reduce our debts. Translation – more taxes. God forbid, we’d actually cut our spending. No – tax, tax, tax!

Meanwhile, in Progressive land, the Left’s pundits are all blaming the Tea Party. Claiming that their interference with the debt ceiling caused all of this. It would be laughable and hysterically funny if I didn’t believe that a certain faction of the American public is buying into this horse poop. Fox News had everyone except Carrot Top chime in and I may have missed his appearance. Socialist Ed Asner was on waxing poetic on a role he has playing Warren Buffet and finances. Cavuto interviewed some big wig – didn’t get his name and don’t really care – who came right out and said we should tax way more to handle the debt; that we weren’t Progressive enough… Then he blurts out proudly that he is a Trotskyite.

Trotskyism is the theory of Marxism as advocated by Leon Trotsky. Trotsky considered himself an orthodox Marxist and Bolshevik-Leninist, arguing for the establishment of a vanguard party of the working-class. His politics differed sharply from those of Stalinism, most prominently in opposing Socialism in One Country, which he argued was a break with proletarian internationalism, and in his belief in what he argued was a more authentic dictatorship of the proletariat based on working-class self-emancipation and mass democracy, rather than the unaccountable bureaucracy he saw as having developed after Lenin’s death.

How very ‘Fair and Balanced’ can you get? Then you have John Kerry (‘I fought in Vietnam you know.’), stating that if the Tea Party just knew their place and hadn’t stood in the way of Congress, this would never have happened. Let me ask Kerry, do you even know how to tell the truth? I very much doubt it.

The usual economists and talking heads all say that the downgrade will have little effect, that it is ‘baked into’ the market. Who knows? I kind of doubt that piece of mass propaganda though. Already this weekend has seen the Middle East’s market drop drastically and Israel’s market the last time I looked was down 7%. Yee haw! Should be a wild ride this week as we serf the downgrade. And I believe this is just the opening salvo. S&P says we could have a further downgrade in 6 months to 2 years.

China is now telling us the days of borrowing money are over and that the US dollar should no longer be the world’s currency. In fact I have seen them aggressively stating this all over the place this weekend. In case you didn’t know, the Chinese are our primary bankers. That’s worse news than the downgrade, but, shhhhh! Don’t tell the markets.

You are seeing the beginning of the death spiral of our economy if we don’t do something and very, very soon. We are entering Weimar Republic territory and hyper-inflation is definitely in the cards is we don’t turn this boat around and fast.

Meanwhile, Geithner is determined to stay and will not resign. Why should he? He’s not done destroying us yet with Bernanke and the Fed’s assistance. An emergency G7 conference has been called. Probably to discuss how a new world government should oversee everything.And Greenspan, well he sees the market falling, falling…

So, while the blame game continues apace, we merrily keep on, keepin’ on with this financially suicidal status quo. The Progressives are sticking to a winning battle plan and either the Progressive Republicans are complicit or they are standing in a classic Homer Simpson pose as our finances go nuclear and we keep serfing the downgrade. Kowabunga, dude!

Lost in all the politics of raising the debt ceiling is a simple understanding of why it is so dangerous to do so.

The government-controlled media is trying to ensure that the public doesn’t have the facts, lacks a clear understanding of the problem and chooses sides based on emotion.

The fact is, at the end of 2008, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported, “At the end of 2008, that debt equaled 40 percent of the nation’s annual economic output (a little above the 40-year average of 37 percent). Since then, the figure has shot upward: By the end of fiscal year 2011, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects federal debt will reach roughly 70 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) — the highest percentage since shortly after World War II.”

The entire US Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2010 was $14.62 Trillion. The US debt ceiling currently stands at $14.294 Trillion, which was exceeded in May of 2011. Obama and Congress will be raising the debt ceiling well above our US GDP. Does this make America economically stronger or weaker?

To clarify what the rating agencies said, “Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s credit rating services issued warnings that United States could be downgraded because of the continued large deficits and increasing debt.”

To say that our government is simply spending more than it takes in is an understatement when it comes to the out-of-control spending we’ve experienced under President Obama; what he’s doing is dangerous. He has spent about $12.2 Trillion in just 3 years; that’s $5.15 Trillion more than the approximate $7.05 Trillion that was given to him by taxpayers.

Obama has made America the largest debtor-nation in the history of the world and fully intends to keep spending.

To put this into perspective, let’s look at it this way… It’s like a person spending $86,500 a year when they only bring home $50,000. How long will creditors keep loaning money to this person… especially if this person says they refuse to meaningfully cut their spending and instead expects to increase it every year?

Let’s look at it another way… It took roughly 220 years for our nation to accumulate $5.181 Trillion in debt which occurred in 1996. From 1996 to the end of 2008 (12 years), another $4.473 Trillion was added to our national debt, which is why we screamed for Bush to stop spending. Obama is adding $5.15 Trillion in just 3 years. What he’s doing is dangerous.

So, if you’re not screaming for Obama to stop spending, why not? Raising the debt ceiling without significant strings attached gives him the blank checks he needs to plunge us even further into debt. He refuses to cut spending and dishonestly threatens our creditors, seniors and others in hopes they’ll support him out of fear. He’s historic alright; no President in the history of our nation has ever threatened its citizens or its creditors in this way.

Obama isn’t spending our money to help improve the lives of America’s poor, seniors, veterans, homeless, minorities or others we care deeply about. Here’s just a taste of his real priorities… where he’s been spending our money and what our kids and grandkids will be expected to repay for decades to come:

OVERSEAS

$63 billion – US Global Health Initiative.

$665.7 million – International Family Planning & Reproductive Health Programs.

$1 billion – to Mexico so that they can drill in the Gulf (while Obama caused 23,000 Americans to lose their jobs because of his ban on US drilling in the Gulf).

$2 billion – to Brazil for OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING!!!!

$147.3 million – US pays Brazil each year in cotton subsidies to keep its mouth shut.

$30 billion – of the $100 billion per year for UN Climate Change Policy; the UN admitted global warming is about wealth redistribution, not climate change policy.

$430 billion from TARP that Timothy Geitner stated will be recovered by January 2011 – of which the Fed spent $350 billion in taxpayer funds to save 35 foreign banks.

$8 billion – US pays to IMF for Greece Bailout.

$1.9 billion – International Agriculture Programs.

$54.1 billion – USAID to other countries for FY 2011 – President Obama already sent $173.5 billion for international/foreign assistance ($90.6 billion in 2010 – a 60% increase compared to FY 2008; $82.9 billion in 2009 – a 47% increase compared to FY 2008).

$5.96 million – U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation 2010 Awards (i.e. mosque restoration overseas). NOTE: Section 205.1(d) of title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations prohibits USAID funds from being used for the rehabilitation of structures to the extent that those structures are used for “inherently religious activities.”

PROPAGANDA ORGANIZATIONS

$80 billion to Apollo Alliance (socialist/communist George Soros group) to expand community agitation; see this video too.

$422 million – Funding for Public Broadcasting/NPR – a private company that doesn’t need taxpayer funds.

$161 million – NEH anti-American group which targets our military.

GROW GOVERNMENT

$44 billion – This represents a 28% pay increase for Fed employees (Fed pay increased 36.9% since 2000 while private worker’s pay increased only 8.8%.)

$148 billion – loaned to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – these are government operated organizations that are taking control of 90%+ of U.S. home mortgages, and these are the organizations who contributed to the housing meltdown.

$1.416 billion – Serve America Act FY 2011 to recruit our children at school and get them into “volunteerism” (i.e. recruit and train community agitators).

$1 billion – Dead people to whom our Federal government sends our money.

$1.4 billion – FDA to take over our food supply and hire 17,000 more taxpayer-funded government employees.

$400 million – Michelle Obama’s Food Deserts to open government food stores that are closer to urban areas to save residents the 5 extra minutes of driving time that it takes to get to their existing, privately owned store.

GLOBAL WARMING

$1.741 billion – INCREASE for “critical efficiency and renewables programs” – this is just the amount of increase to their existing budget.

$2.4 billion – “clean tech” for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, a $2.287 billion increase from $113 million in the previous budget [ID:nN01180827].

$6 billion – clean energy technologies.

$535 million – Global warming money for a politically-connected private company, Solyndra, to lay off workers and build a new plant (see video here).

$611.4 million – Bureau of Labor Statistics to gather data on ‘green jobs.’

$123 million – DoE’s wind program, a $43 million increase over current spending.

$300 million – the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, or ARPA-E.

$880 Billion is being spent on these items alone in 2011. Are these discretionary expenditures worthy of collapsing America’s economy at a time when we need to reign in spending? If Obama continues to refuse to cut spending, that’s just what will happen.

Don’t be fooled by the propaganda coming from Obama and his regime – to include his MoveOn.org pals. They’re doing George Soros’ bidding. If you haven’t heard, Soros wants a ‘managed decline’ of our dollar and an economic collapse is exactly what he wants. Obama’s actions are clearly leading to what Soros wants.

It’s dangerous to raise the debt ceiling without significant cuts and caps on Obama’s spending and a legislative balanced-budget amendment to prevent future Presidents from doing what Obama’s doing to America.
