Egypt Football Association is to complain to world soccer governing body FIFA over a new date proposed by Algeria for their 2010 World Cup (WC) qualifying match as it comes too close to another tie against Rwanda.

Algeria have informed Egypt that their long-awaited World Cup showdown will now be played on June 7 and not June 6 as earlier agreed.

This change in date means that African champions Egypt will only have less than three days to prepare for the next World Cup game against Rwanda slated for June 10.

"Following a meeting with the first team's technical staff, the Egyptian Football Association decided to inform FIFA that it would be difficult to play the World Cup qualifier with Rwanda on June 10 after playing in Algeria on June 7, just 72 hours earlier," a statement on the EFA's official site stated.

Egypt, who will kickoff their World Cup qualifying campaign against Zambia on March 29 at the Cairo International Stadium, will also feature in this year's FIFA Confederations Cup.
The African champions will face Brazil, Italy and USA in Group B in South Africa, who will host the competition from June 15.
