In the blame game, the Obama administration isn’t about to stop with Fox News. Instead, it’s moving on to lowly scientists.

Last month, President Obama gave a rather chilling, if somewhat ignored, speech on climate change at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He stated that any scientific debate about the magnitude of global warming is unscrupulous, decrying “those who . . . make cynical claims that contradict the overwhelming scientific evidence when it comes to climate change, whose only purpose is to defeat or delay the change that we know is necessary.”

We'll see what the bill really says once we have time to analyze it, but here's what we know from prior versions, news reports, and Pelosi's talking points. The plan is phony and false political posturing: More benefits for more people with more choice, and it costs nothing and saves money.

Here's the truth: The Democratic proposals will cost more money, raise insurance rates for everyone, cause people who already have insurance to lose coverage, get government intimately involved in our lives, eliminate any hope of introducing cost competition into the system, lead to de facto rationing, and are based on contrived financial assumptions which never will happen.

It's all hot air surrounded by hype wrapped in made-for-TV faux reality. It is the health care version of the balloon-boy hoax.

Fred Maslack has read the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as Vermont ‘s own Constitution very carefully, and ... recently proposed a bill to register “non-gun-owners” and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun

Vermont ‘s constitution states explicitly that “the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the State” and those persons who are “conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms” shall be required to “pay such equivalent.” Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves, so that they are capable of responding to “any situation that may arise.”

There is no reason why gun owners should have to pay taxes to support police protection for people not wanting to own guns. Let them contribute their fair share and pay their own way.

Billy Carter, President Jimmy Carter’s late younger brother, is remembered as a redneck gas station owner, public urinator and one-time registered foreign agent for Libya.

Now, Billy's trademark gas station in Plains, Ga. appears close to earning special recognition as part of a national historic landmark.

The House is considering, under expedited procedures, a bill (HR 1471) that would roughly double the size of a National Park Service site honoring President Carter in part by making the Billy Carter Service Station Museum an extension of the presidential historic site.

The CBO estimates that the proposal to add the Carter gas station to the current Carter presidential site would cost $17 million over five years, including planning and development costs, about $1 million to buy 10 acres and about $2 million in additional staffing and other expenses.

There's no word from congress if it is considering the same action for President Obama's youngest brother Onyango's hut in Nairobi.

lives without seeing... Dave Letterman’s “O” face.

It would appear that Dave " The Pervert " Letterman, wasn’t aware of the locations of the security cameras at his Late Show studio and a few of his own " stupid human tricks" were caught on tape.

Dave now fears that if the studio surveillance tapes, featuring him and a younger female staff member in compromising positions, are released to the public it will destroy his marriage and career.

I'm not sure who would have the stomach to watch Letterman's creepy old man porn, but the idea of seeing the Davester's 62 year old baggy ass doing the horizontal boogie is more than I can fathom. There's just not enough brain bleach out there to make that mental stain go away.

What Part Of "Illegal" Don't They Get ?

A California illegal immigrant rights group has demanded that Target stores stop selling an "illegal alien" Halloween costume it says is offensive to illegals.

Angelica Salas, executive director of the illegal immigrant rights group, says she sent an e-mail to the Minneapolis-based retailer Friday calling the costume "distasteful, mean-spirited, and ignorant of social stigmas faced by illegals in the US."

The Halloween costume, which was posted on Target's web site, featured an orange jumpsuit with "illegal alien" written across the front and a mask of an alien.

A Target spokesman said that "the store never intended to sell the outfit but included it in its online offerings by mistake." He added that "Target has removed the costume from their web site and that they apologize to any illegal immigrants that they may have offended."
