What is Azure Machine Learning Studio?

Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio is a collaborative,
drag-and-drop tool you can use to build, test, and deploy predictive
analytics solutions on your data. Machine Learning Studio publishes
models as web services that can easily be consumed by custom apps or BI
tools such as Excel.
Machine Learning Studio is where data science, predictive analytics, cloud resources, and your data meet.

NOTE:
Azure is not converted into Azure Machine Learning, both are different things.

Have you ever copied a Youtube URL, pasted it into an email message or twitter comment, and sent it to someone? If so, have you also found yourself explaining to the recipient that they'll need to skip forward to 2 minutes and 10 seconds for the good bit to start? If so, here's a really handy tip which needs no extra software and which works with all browsers.
Once you've copied the Youtube URL for the video you want, just add the required start time on the end, using the special format. For 2 minutes and 10 seconds you'd add #t=2m10s as shown in the screen shot below. If you don't specify m and s separately, Youtube defaults to seconds. So in the example here, #t=130 would achieve the same effect.
To illustrate, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT_I_GV_oEM#t=2m10s shows one particularly cute puppy within a compilation video.

Setting up Eclipse and Tomcat Page

Setting up Eclipse and Tomcat

NOTE: Please do not download any softwares right now. All softwares are already copied into your desktop.
To create Servlet projects, you need to use a version of Eclipse with
J2EE support built in. The default version of Eclipse which you get
with Ubuntu does NOT include J2EE support, so you have to download a
version of Eclipse with J2EE support. You can get it from the Eclipse
download site: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ (choose according to your hardware configuration and OS)

Version: We are using Eclipse Juno
(4.2) Enterprise Edition in the workshop. We suggest you also use this
version, although an older version should also work fine if you are
already familiar with it and using it currently.
After downloading, extract the compressed archive on your local file
system. Then eclipse can be started by double-clicking on the eclipse
executable file.
Further, to run servlets, you need to use the tomcat server. Even the
Eclipse version with J2EE does not include the tomcat server, so you
have to download and set up tomcat. Details of how to do so are below.

Creating a Tomcat server and Linking from Eclipse

Install Apache Tomcat (version 6 at least), either by

using a package manager on your linux installation,

Download from moodle

or download Apache Tomcat from http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat and extract the compressed file containing Apache Tomcat on your local file system.

DO NOT use the system tomcat
installation which is usually on /usr/share/tomcat, since it is not
writable by you. If you do this you will run into trouble later.

Add the Apache Tomcat runtimes to Eclipse. To do so, open Eclipse and do the following:

Using the Preferences page, you can define the server runtime
environment definitions for the Apache Tomcat server. To define these
definitions, complete the following:

From the Window menu, select Preferences.

In the Preferences window, expand Server and then select Runtime Environments.

On the Server Runtime Environments page, click Add. The New Server Runtime Environment wizard opens.

On the New Server Runtime Environment page, expand Apache.

Select one of the following supported Apache Tomcat servers:

Apache Tomcat v6.0

Apache Tomcat v7.0

When you add a server runtime environment, by default a server is created and added as an entry in the Servers view. The Create a new local server check box is selected by default; do NOT change this setting.

The Tomcat Server page opens when you click Next.

In the Tomcat installation directory field, type or browse to the directory where you extracted the installation files of Apache Tomcat. For example, <var class="varname">x</var>:/apache-tomcat-6.0.13, where <var class="varname">x</var> is the installation directory of the Apache Tomcat server. Use a directory which is writable by you, NOT the /usr/share/tomcat directory.

Click Finish.

Configure and Test the Apache Tomcat server:

Select Servers tab (look at the bottom right of the screen, along
with other tabs such as Markers and Properties). Now right-click and
select New > Server. The Define a New Server wizard opens.

In the Select the server type list, select the Tomcat server defined in the previous step.

Tip: If you did not specify the Tomcat install directory, the Define a New Server wizard will prompt you for this information.

Start the Tomcat server. In the Servers view, right-click the Tomcat server and select Start.

Test your setup of the Tomcat server.

Open a Web browser.

Type the Web address<samp class="codeph">http://localhost:8080/</samp>. If you see the Apache Tomcat start page, you have successfully set up your Tomcat server.

If you see a 404 error message, but at least the
message comes from Tomcat. Reason for this issue is Eclipse forgets to
copy the default apps (ROOT, examples, etc.) when it creates a Tomcat
folder inside the Eclipse workspace. To resolve this follow bellow
steps.

This is not mandatory
(Ref to bellow steps: http://www.coreservlets.com/Apache-Tomcat-Tutorial/tomcat-7-with-eclipse.html)

Using Eclipse: an Introduction

STARTING ECLIPSE

Start eclipse by directly Biologydouble clicking the file "eclipse"
inside the extracted folder (Eg.
/home/<username>/Desktop/software/eclipse. This could be different
and depends on where you have extracted the eclipse archive).</username>

Select the working directory to save your current project. The default directory will be /home/<username>/workspace</username>

Start A New Project

Click File->New

Choose "Dynamic Web Project"

Provide a name for the project

Choose the option "New Runtime" and a New runtime window opens

Choose "Apache Tomcat v7.0" and say Next.

In the "Tomcat installation directory", browse and select "/home/<username>/Desktop/software/apache-tomcat-7.0.2"</username>

Click Finish

Click Finish

Running a Hello world program in eclipse

Click File-> New -> Java project -> give project name -> finish

Right click on project name -> new -> class

Select "Class" and say Next.

Give a class name, say "HelloWorld" and say Finish.

Write a main method inside the class as follows:

public static void main(String[] args){
System.out.println("Hello world");
}

Save the file(Ctrl+S) and Right-click anywhere in the editor window and select Run As > Run as Java Application

It runs and prints Hello world in the Console window.

Including the JDBC - PostgreSQL driver in the project build path

Make sure you have the postgresql JDBC jar file. It can be downloaded from here. After downloading, copy it (Right-click, select copy).

For normal Java project(simple JDBC) follow these
instructions: right click on project name -> Build Path ->
configure build path-> libraries (tab) -> Add external Jars ->
browse postgresql JDBC jar file-> OK

For Dynamic Web project (Servlets) follow these
instructions: In Eclipse, open Project Explorer, select the current
project and browse to WebContent > WEB-INF > lib, and
paste(Right-click, select paste) the copied postgresql JDBC jar file
'lib' folder.

Now, create a new class and copy the contents of the sample JDBC program from here.

Start your postgresql server before running this program.

Update the source code with the database name, username, password etc. as described in comments in the sample program.

Run as Java application(Right-Click, select Run As > Java
Application). The sample program takes in a department name and prints
out all its student details. Enter a valid dept_name and hit enter. It
should print the output successfully.

How to draw ER models

ER
Models can be drawn using any of several tools. Among these Dia is a
very convenient open source tool which runs on multiple platforms
including Linux, Windows and MacOS.
Dia has a number of "sheets" each of which includes diagram objects
for different modeling tools, such as UML, ER diagrams, flowcharts, etc.
The ER tool has objects for entities, relationships, attributes
(using the oval notation), edges, and so on. The properties boxes for
each of these elements allows you to specify cardinality constraints,
total participation, identifying relationship, etc.
To create the ER notation used in the Database System Concepts 6th Ed
book, we use the UML class objects instead of ER entity objects in Dia.
Open the properties of the class object and give it a name (entity set
name), and add attributes. Select Visibility Implementation to remove
the + before the attribute name, and select Class Scope to underline an
attribute.
Diagrams drawn using Dia can be
embedded in other documents by exporting to other formats such as .eps
(for Latex) or .jpg (for Word or Open/Libre Office), and including the
exported format in the document.

Tips for running queries on Oracle

We
encourage the use of PostgreSQL for the labs, to expose students to an
excellent open source database. However, if your syllabus forces you to
use Oracle (and all participants at your remote centre are also from
universities where they are forced to use Oracle), you can do
assignments on Oracle. Our model solutions will often give syntax
errors on Oracle due to non-support for some SQL features in Oracle.
Below are some tips on how you can rewrite the queries to work on
Oracle.
Oracle SQL Tips: non-standard features, and limitations
The following issues are for Oracle 10, and may or may not apply to later versions of Oracle.

Oracle does not support the as clause, except as
part of the "with" statement. In all other cases, just use the same
syntax without the "as" keyword, and things should work.

To use a single quote in a string, use two consecutive single
quotes, e.g. 'D''Souza', the usual backslash escape (e.g. 'D'Souza')
does not work.

Oracle supports the with clause, but there are some
syntax differences: the query defining a temporary view should be
enclosed in parenthesis, and if there are multiple views, separate them
by commas, instead of repeating the with keyword. Also column renaming
is not supported, you can only give a name for the temporary view. The
following example illustrates the Oracle with clause syntax:

with foo as (select * from bar),
baz as (select * from zap, zit where P)
select *
from foo, baz
where P

The with clause cannot be used in update queries

Oracle does not support tuple comparisons; thus, (r.A,r.B) <
(s.A, s.B) will not work in Oracle; instead you have to use ((r.A <
s.A) OR (r.A=s.A and r.B < s.B))

Oracle does not allow giving an alias to (renaming) a join
expression such as (r natural join s), using FROM (r natural join s) T
does not work. You can use from (select * from r natural join s) T, or even define T using a with clause.

If you use the expression "r join s using
(A, B)", you cannot refer to r.A or r.B, you have to refer to them as
just A and B; however, if you have another common attribute C, you can
use r.C and s.C. For the case of "r natural join s", all attributes can
be accessed using only their name, you cannot prefix them with "r." or
"s."

Oracle allows correlation variables (table aliases)
to be used in an immediate subquery, but not in a subquery of a
subquery. This caused a lot of grief in some queries, where the obvious
formulation required the variable to be used two levels down.

Instead of the keyword lateral, use the keyword table

Oracle supports a weird non-standard SQL syntax which you should NOT use:
select max(count(*)) from student group by dept_name

Here’s how:

Select the table, and then press ALT+F3 to open the Create New Building Block dialog box. Type a name for your table, click the Gallery drop-down arrow, and then choose Tables from the list. You can set other options as well, such as choosing or creating a category for your table, which affects where in the Quick Tables gallery it is stored. By clicking the Save in drop-down arrow, you can indicate the template in which you want to store the table. However, if you leave the default Building Blocks.dotx as the Save in location, your table will be available to you for use in any document.

To access your saved table, on the Insert tab, click Table, and then point to Quick Tables.

online information provided by rushi

Recruitment:: unionbankofindia.co.in

<marquee width="100%" behavior="SCROLL">r-onlineinformation.blogspot.com</marquee>

CAREER

Union Bank Recruitment project 2010- CLERK

On-line application for Recruitment of CLERK

MESSAGE FOR Union Bank Recruitment Project 2009 Recruitment for Specialist Officers

The Bank has advertised for Recruitment of Probationary and Specialised Officers under Union Bank Recruitment Project 2010-A for the following

posts

Asst. Follow them at the best. Good Luck.

Writing skills matter a lot in the CSIR UGC NET Examination. Most of the candidates appearing for the CSIR UGC NET examination have a lot of knowledge, but lack writing skills.

You should be able to present all the information/knowledge in a coherent and logical manner, as expected by the examiner.

For example: Quoting with facts and substantiating your answer with related concepts and emphasizing your point of view.

Preparations for CSIR UGC NET examination should be done intensively.

After deciding the questions one should sort out the CSIR UGC NET question papers according to the syllabus topics.

If one analyses these questions, after sometime the questions are repeated in one form or the other.

Prepare a standard answer to the question papers of the previous years. This will also make your task easy at the CSIR UGC NET examination.

Do Not miss the concepts. Questions asked are of the Masters level examination.

Sometimes the questions are ‘conceptual’ in nature, aimed at testing the comprehension levels of the basic concepts.

Get a list of standard textbooks from the successful candidates, or other sources and also selective good notes.

The right choice of reading material is important and crucial. You should not read all types of books as told by others.

Always target for writing section even while preparing for objective questions. As there is much in common for study and there is little time for preparation for the wriiten part II examination.

While studying for the subjects, keep in mind that there is no scope for selective studies in CSIR UGC NET.

The whole syllabus must be covered thoroughly. Equal stress and weight should be given all the sections of the syllabus.

Note that in the ultimate analysis both subjects carry exactly the same amount of maximum marks.

For subjects like Mathematics and Statistics and Geography maps etc, practice is very important.

One should also practice other subjects and should not treat the same examination, as an “experience gathering” exercise to get a chance for writing mains is a great thing, which you may not get again.

Go through the unsolved papers of the previous papers and solve them to stimulate the atmosphere of the examination.

Stick to the time frame. Speed is the very essence of this examination. Hence, time management assumes crucial importance.

For developing the writing skills, keep writing model answers while preparing for the CSIR UGC NET examination. This helps get into the habit of writing under time pressure in the Mains examination.

Never be over confident with your writing skills. It is too subjective and behavioral.

Develop and follow your own style of writing. Try not to be repetitive and maintain a flow in the style of your writing.

Never try to imitate others in the style of writing.

Sequential and systematic style of answering comes after a lot of practice and analysis of standard answers.

Try to stimulate the actual examination hours to judge the performance and to plug any loopholes.

Try not to exceed the word limit, as far as possible. Sticking to the word limit that will save time. Besides, the number of marks you achieve are not going to increase even if you exceed the word limit. It’s the quality that matters not the quantity.

Revision of subjects is very important. The reason is that you have been preparing for months or years together.

It is a human tendency to forget something after some time.

Donot bother yourselves if you are unable to revise everything before examination.

Write it legibly as it will simplify the evaluator’s task and he can read the answers easily.

Highlight the important points which are important.

Follow paragraph writing rather than essay form. A new point should start with a new paragraph.

If the question needs answer in point format give it a bullet format.

Keep sufficient space between two lines.

Try to maintain uniformity in your writing throughout the paper.

Under time pressure, the script should not go from bad to worse in the later stages of the answer sheets. This may irritate the evaluator.

Don’t count words after every answer. If you have practiced well you should reflexively know the approximate limit you made. Give space and divide it by a dividing line between two questions.

Above all be patient and believe in God.

online information provided by rushi

વંદે ગુજરાત મેગા ઈવેન્ટનું જીવંત પ્રસારણ કરાશે

<marquee behavior="SCROLL" width="100%">r-onlineinformation.blogspot.com

<marquee behavior="SCROLL" width="100%">
</marquee>

online information provided by rushi

Manmohan, Tendulkar among world's most influential: Time

<marquee behavior="SCROLL" width="100%">r-onlineinformation.blogspot.com

</marquee>
Washington, April 30 (IANS) Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen are among nine Indians who figure in Time magazine's annual list of 100 most influential people, while Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan tops its 100 Alumnae list.

Manmohan Singh finds himself in the 19th spot in the Leaders list headed by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva with US president Barack Obama in the fourth place.

As India's finance minister from 1991 to 1996, Manmohan Singh 'released India's potential for the benefit of its people. It simply serves as a virtual diary! For whatever it may be – memos, to-do notes, lists, anything, use windows notepad as diary.

With this trick, the notepad automatically adds the current time and date to next line on opening it. This means, a direct journal or diary to keep reminders of the day. Follow these simple steps to convert your notepad into magic diary.

1. Open a notepad and type .LOG (case sensitive) as the first line.

2. Save with any name and close the file.

3. Now, Double-click the file to open it and notice that Notepad appends the current date
and time and places the cursor on the next line.

4. Type your notes and then save and close the file.

Each time you open the file, Notepad repeats the process, Appending the time and date and placing the cursor below it.

online information provided by rushi

How Chrome OS will Work and the Latest Official Screen Images

<marquee behavior="SCROLL" width="100%">r-onlineinformation.blogspot.com
</marquee>

Google has recently released screenshots of its upcoming operating system – the chrome OS. Along with these images, Google has also revealed some technical information regarding the project.

Google has also announced Chrome OS to be open source, which is the by far best thing about it. By open sourcing the OS, the code will be available to everyone. The developer community can add useful functions or software engineers can build utilities and tools around it.

The following video talks about how Chrome OS will work and difference between Chrome browser and Chrome Operating system:

According to this video:

• Chrome OS will take only 5 to 15 seconds for booting.

• It will not have regular operating system files, which degrades with time. It will be a browser interlinked with hardware.

• All your daily computer tasks (mails, videos, docs, songs, images) will be done from the browser.

• No software installations, updates, BSOD, fix, hot patches with Chrome OS.

• Everything will be cloud operated. That means nothing (images, songs, docs etc) will be stored on your computer.

You can know more about Chrome OS user interface concept from this video :

online information provided by rushi

For Windows Vista

<marquee behavior="SCROLL" width="100%">r-onlineinformation.blogspot.com
</marquee>

Welcome Center
The first time you use Windows Vista, you see Welcome Center, which offers a wealth of introductory information to help you with Windows Vista. Information content in WWW is growing at a rate of 200% annually. The sheer volume of information available makes searching for specific information quite a daunting task. Search engines are efficient tools used for finding relevant information in the rapidly growing and highly dynamic web. There are quite a number of search engines available today. Every search engine consists of three major components: crawler, indexed repository and search software. The web crawler fetches web pages (documents) in a recursive manner according to a predefined importance metric for web pages. Some example metrics are back link count of the page, forward link count, location, page rank etc. The Indexer parses these pages to build an inverted index that is then used by the search s oftware to return relevant documents for a user query.

Even though search engine is a very useful tool, the technology is young and has quite a number of problems, which become worse as the web grows rapidly. Searching in the web today is like dragging a net on....

online information provided by rushi
