The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Release Day

Hello friends! It's release day for the beautiful and inspiring La Dolce Vita Collection from The Greetery! Everything will be available for purchase beginning at 10 am EDT! I have a bonus card to share with you today sneaking in a few products I didn't get a chance to use on my countdown projects. That being said, there are still quite a few I still need to use!

To begin, I used the new Cottage Tile Background; this is a big background that can accommodate all different sizes of cards. You'll want to cut your background to the size you want to use and then place it on the die; it doesn't cut an outside border, if that makes sense.

I glued it onto an A2 card base using liquid glue and set it aside to work on the details of the card. I already had this lemon bunch all ready to go because I ended up not using it on one of my countdown projects. I used the Citrus Fields Die and cut it from white cardstock and colored it with blender brushes and dye inks. I gave it a spritz of fossilized amber distress oxide spray and set it aside to dry.

The "grounding" strip it embossed using the new Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Tiles Embossing Folder. I attached it to the card background using foam squares.

I cut out the villa using the Countryside Villa Mini Die from white, with the exception of the tiled roof and shutters. I cut the roof from Melon Berry cardstock and then added some rust ink with a blender brush. The shutters are cut from the same green as the tile embossed panel.

I used foam squares to mount everything to the card base including the sentiment, which is from the new Rolling Hills Bella Terra Addition Stamp Set. I absolutely adore these sentiments and the font!

The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Day 2

Ciao, Bella! Welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for the La Dolce Vita Collection from The Greetery! I've pulled in a few things from yesterday's featured products (yes, I LOVE the lemons) but there are SO many lovely products being showcased today as well! So many, in fact, that I didn't get a chance to use them all! That will soon be rectified, though! ha ha! My first project features the beautiful new Tile Style Background Stamp; this is a large red rubber stamp that gives a crisp result! I went for the traditional Positano look with the blue tiles and yellow lemons, but the sky is the limit with this beautiful background; it would be perfect to use with the last release as well!

To begin, I created the lemon cluster using the Citrus Fields Die that was showcased yesterday; same creation steps as yesterday as well. I set it aside and got to work on the background. I stamped a 5 by 7 panel of white cardstock using the Tile Style Background Stamp. I cut it using the Shortbread Shapes: Snowflake Die and then mounted it onto a card base cut with the same die.

Next, I cut the woodgrain paper with the same die along with the star portion from the middle. I embossed it using the coordinating Shortbread Shapes: Snowflake Embossing Folder. I ran some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink over the top with a finger dauber for added depth and definition.

I layered the lemon cluster over the top with foam squares and finished it off with the "La Dolce Vita" sentiment, heat embossed in white, using the Bella Terra Stamp Set. There are quite a few Italian sentiments, but there are also the English equivalents included. I was thinking it would be fun to use the Italian version on the front and then the English version on the inside, just in case the recipient doesn't understand Italian!

Next up is fun card bringing in the "Canned" Die from yesterday paired with the fun new Botanicuts Tomato Die and the punny Tomato Tomato Stamps! It took me a minute, along with my daughter's help, to figure out the clever sentiment combinations! ha ha! I guess I'm getting old!

I love making shaped cards and this new Canned Die is the perfect excuse to make some! I mentioned yesterday that there is also a "pull tab" that you can add, rather than the rolled down version I've done here. It allows you to open the "tin" and see a surprise inside. That is still on my to-make list! This collection is so varied and fun, I don't think the ideas will ever run out!

I really wanted to showcase the tomato cluster, so I let it spill over the top and then added the punny sentiment!

The Botanicuts Tomato Die allows you to make the cluster or you can use the tomatoes individually. There is also a sliced tomato, which I didn't end up using.

The Tomato Tomato Stamp Set has quite a few combinations of sentiments, including a few that are pretty generic if you just want to send a seasonal card!

Someone just whisk me away right now please! This card features the adorable new Rolling Hills Suite; this is an addition to the original that made it's debut a few years ago! I absolutely adore these new additions! My husband's mom's side is Italian and the region where they are from has villas just like this! I was telling my daughter how jealous I am, that she, and her siblings, all have Italian blood pumping through their veins! ha ha!

To begin, I stenciled a panel using the Rolling Hills Stencil and then embossed it using the new Bella Terra Embossing Folder. My plates are so warped, I found that all of my embossing for this release got wonky at the bottom! Ugh! I was so frustrated, but I guess it gives them "character"! ha ha! Once the embossing was done, I got to work on the flowers. These are cut and stamped using the Bella Terra Die and Stamp Set. I added some alcohol marker details to the stems and flowers for additional shading. I mounted them to the rolling hills using foam squares.

This card features the new Countryside Villa Die (small) and then I made a shaped card using the large version, which I will share at the bottom of today's post.

Each set comes with the Cyprus trees as well; the larger version has cute window boxes, just like the cute ones for the Marketplace shops! This card features yet another sentiment from the Bella Terra Stamp Set.

Eep! It's so cute....I love this die SO MUCH! As I mentioned earlier, this a shaped card, but this would work on the Rolling Hills as well, and of course, on other projects!

The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Day 1

I'm so excited to be here today sharing a few projects using the beautiful and fun new collection from The Greetery called La Dolce Vita! It's jam-packed with SO many wonderful new products that will make you want to fly off to the Mediterranean! Before I dive into the details of my projects, you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "Meet & Greet" for each of the products being featured today. My first project uses the beautiful and refreshing new Citrus Fields suite of products! I've never made a 5 by 7 card set before, but with the large Citrus Fields Stencil and Citrus Fields Embossing Folder, I couldn't resist! Please note: if you only make A2-sized cards, don't fret; you can cut your cardstock down! Making this larger card set allowed me to challenge myself to create a larger box to hold the cards, which turned out perfectly, thank heavens! ha ha!

To begin, I stenciled four panels using the Citrus Fields Stencil collection. I did each step on each of the four panels rather than stenciling one completely and then moving onto another, if that makes sense. I gave them all a spritz of Shimmer Spray-Sparkle for sparkle and shine and attached them to 5 by 7 white card bases.

For the sentiments, I used the Oblong Octagon Labels Stamp Set along with the coordinating Oblong Octagon Labels Hot Foil and Oblong Octagon Labels Die. I really love how the hot foil elevates the look; it gives a boutique feeling, but with handmade touches.

Two of the sentiments are embossed/foiled on Powder Green cardstock and two on coral cardstock for variation.

I made a belly band to go around the set of cards and envelopes, similar to what you would find on a store bought set.

I found the envelopes on Amazon and they have a gold trim on the edges to elevate the set as well.

Let's talk about the box lid; if you're not into making boxes, you could make this as a card! The corners use a beautiful new set called Ciao Bella Borders, which I will share on another project today. I used the new Citrus Fields Die for the focal point; it's all cut from white and then colored with blender brushes and dye inks.

I framed the lemons with a frame cut using the Capsule Fixed Border Large and then cut using the beautiful Pretty Picado Die. I layered it onto the pinked layer that is cut using the Capsule Star Studded Borders Die and then some additional detail using the Capsule Filigree Borders Die. The lemons are arranged in the middle using foam squares for dimension. As I mentioned earlier, you could just use this portion for a card design, or even add the yellow portion as well.

My next project uses the beautiful new Coastal Cuttings Die paired with the Ciao Bella Borders Stamp/Die set. I couldn't resist using the Citrus Fields Embossing Folder again for added interest and depth.

If you fell in love with the Best Bouquet Die, you'll love this as well. It's the same concept for arranging the cluster!

I love the color combination found on the assembly guide, so that is what I used on both cards.

Everything is cut from white cardstock and then I colored each flower/leaf/ etc. using blender brushes and dye inks.

The two cards use the two different options for borders included in the Ciao Bella Borders along with two of the sentiments.

And now for something FUN! I absolutely adore this new Something Fishy Suite of products; so clever and cute! I've created a shaped birthday card using the Canned Die and the new Something Fishy Stamp/Die set. There is a smaller version of the can called Canned Lite. I didn't get a chance to use it on any projects, but that will soon be remedied!

I used green metallic cardstock for the "rolled down" portion of the can to give it some realism.

There are so many fun different sentiments in the Something Fishy Stamp Set; baby, birthday, celebration, etc.

There is a die so you can create a pull-tab for an interactive card; that's also on my to-make list! So many fun possibilities! Papertrey Ink Project Inspiration {Santa Mail}

Hello and welcome friends! It's my turn for this weekend's Project Inspiration Feature for Papertrey Ink. Since I've been on a Christmas kick, I thought I'd immerse myself more fully in the Christmas in July festivities! When I was making my cards for the June release, I couldn't help but think how fun it would be to use the Through the Forest Die for a Christmas card paired with the Stacked Mail Stencil Collection.

I also pulled in some older favorites to tailor this card to bring my vision to life!

This card comes together in six easy steps and I will explain everything throughout the post!

Step 1: Cut and A2 panel of Vintage Cream cardstock and then cut a smaller panel using one of the dies included in the Stacked Mail Die. Add the stenciling using the Stacked Mail Stencil Collection. Add some Vintage Photo Distress ink around the corners for a worn look. Set the smaller piece aside and glue the larger one to an A2 card base.

Step 2: Hot foil a panel of Pure Poppy cardstock using the Deco Framework Hot Foil Plate. Add some Scarlet Jewel ink around the edges using a sticky note to cover the foiling. Attach it to the stenciled panel using foam squares.

Step 3: Stamp the sentiment onto the smaller stenciled panel from earlier. This sentiment is from the North Pole Mail Stamp Set and I stamped it in black. Attach it to the foiled panel with foam squares.

Step 4: Cut the pieces for the tree portion using the Through the Forest Die. I cut the largest piece from Pinefeather, the middle piece from Simply Chartreuse, and the smallest piece from Green Parakeet. I added black ink to the tops of the Pinefeather trees, Ripe Avocado the Simply Chartreuse trees, and New Leaf on the Green Parakeet trees. I layered it all together with foam squares and then added some white acrylic paint splatter. Attach it to the card with foam squares.

Step 5: Cut the reindeer using the Winter Globes: Believe Die from True Black cardstock and then attach them over the trees using black foam squares.

Step 6: Heat emboss the two postage images that are included in the Deliver By December 25th Stamp Set and attach them to the card. Add glitter for sparkle and shine!

I used the Deliver by December 25th Die to cut them out after I did the embossing. I like to use a 2-way glue pen to attach the glitter.

This was such a fun project to work on and it's given me the drive I need to get started on some Christmas projects, especially tags! I didn't have what I needed last year and I don't want to be in the same predicament this year! I bought a bunch of fun things in January with the hopes of working on it all year, but so far, I haven't done anything with them! I think it might be fun to get some neighborhood friends together to make tags this month! We'll see.....haha! Thanks for fluttering by!

Poshta Design {Christmas in July Collection} Day 3

Hello friends! I'm thrilled to be back for day 3 of the Christmas in July Collection from Poshta Design! I've made three ornaments using the Homespun Holiday: Evergreen Kit paired with the new Vintage Starburst Sequin Mix; a match made in heaven! I had so much fun stitching up these three ornaments and I can't wait to hang them on my Christmas tree this year! I was feeling like I had neglected sequins and beads the first two days so I made up for it today! haha! Everything has beads and the beautiful new Vintage Starburst Sequins that I love so much! The kit comes with three beautiful colors of felt and coordinating floss. I did add a tiny bit of Wintergreen felt that is included in the Ribbon Candy color story.

This is the first ornament I made and is the most labor-intensive of the three. It is really easy to put together, though....just takes a little bit more time.

Here is a closeup of the beads and layers. You can omit the backer on the oval if you just want the green color to show through. I chose to use the Wintergreen behind and on the ornament topper.

I used three strands of floss for everything and then made a looped topper for the top; just don't forget to sandwich it in when you're closing everything up! I made this mistake twice, made some adjustments the first time, but totally forgot on my last one....woops! I will just add an ornament hook directly to the stitching.

My second ornament is the red one with all of the beautiful bead work! It was seriously so fun to make and I just want to bead all the things! ha ha!

Even with the beading, this was the easiest of the three!

This particular style is perfect if you have any word dies or year dies you want to add to the middle. I don't have any of those, so I opted to fill the empty space with some medallions and sequins.

Poshta Design {Christmas in July} Day 2

Hello friends! Welcome back for day 2 of the Poshta Design Christmas in July Collection release! I have quite a bit to share with you today using so many of the fabulous new dies! Just like yesterday, I'm using the Ribbon Candy felt color story for all of my projects with the addition of black from a previously released kit.

Up first are the adorable new Table Top Trees. These come in two sizes, but the two I'm sharing are the smaller size. The larger size is a bit bigger (obviously) so I didn't have enough felt leftover to make the larger one, unfortunately.

The die collection also comes with the star, as shown, and then it has little dies for ornaments. I loved my bare trees, so I didn't use them, but I can't wait to see other samples with the ornaments on the trees.

As you can see, the project consists of two pieces that slide together. The stitching guide also recommends putting a piece of cardstock inside the sandwich for stability, which I did and it's perfect. You simply die cut the tree pieces from heavier cardstock and then trim off the stitching holes and sandwich inbetween.

I used contrasting thread for this tree, but in the end I think I like the tone on tone tree better, but this definitely shows you options for you to decided which you prefer.

I'm not sure if I put the star on correctly, ha ha! It has a place to slide it over the top of the tree, so hopefully I did it right!

My next project is a cut little envelope stitched up "From Santa" using the previously released Love Notes Die but added the new Santa detail.

You can choose to or from Santa and then it has the cute tree stamp included.

Continuing on with that theme, the next project uses the new Candy Cane Express collection. This photo shows the Candy Cane Express: Engine, which included the bow.

This photo shows the Candy Cane Express: Passenger Car. I did add the bows to the window, so please note, they are not included in the passenger die. I also made a cute Railroad Crossing sign using the new North Pole Die. This has quite a few dies to make a North Pole sign, plus the Railroad Crossing sign; I'm going to finish this one with the pole so I can use it as an ornament with these cute train cars!

There are a few different ways to gussy up the car: candy cane stripes, Express, like this photo shows, etc.

There is a third car that I still need to make, which is the cargo car! It's full of fun things in it's open bed! Join me again tomorrow for the final day! Thanks for fluttering by!

Poshta Design {Christmas in July} Day 1

Hello and welcome, friends! I'm so excited to be a guest creator for Poshta Design featuring their new Christmas in July release! Today I'm sharing a few projects using the new Picture Frame Die, Picture Frame Extras Die, & the Ribbon Candy Color Story (felt collection).

My first project uses both the Picture Frame Die and the Picture Frame Extras Die. I used the Spearmint Felt for the main frame and then die cut the leaf portion using a die included in the "extras" collection. I stitched all of that with coordinating floss with three strands.

Once the leaves were done, I went ahead and stitched the frame with pink floss (3 strands). Normally I don't like to leave a running stitch, but rather go back to fill in the spaces, but I really like how it looked, so I left it like this. I felt it might be too heavy with the extra stitching. I started doing it and then removed the stitches.

The extras die collection also includes this beautiful poinsettia, so I created two of those with crabapple felt and taffy for the center. I also added some beads to the center for some sparkle and shine.

There are a few different options for how to assemble these frames. There is a die so you can cut a pocket to slip the photos in and out. this makes it easy to swap them out, especially if you're using it as a fridge magnet or something like that.

You can also add loops to the top to create ornaments....the sky is the limit! I couldn't decide if I wanted mine to be ornaments or not, so when I decide, I'll need to do some tweaking!

My second project uses the main frame again, which includes this precious scallop, and then I also added the inner border which is included in the extras!

I cut the frame from taffy felt and then cut the scallop portion. I stitched that with wintergreen floss and then added the crabapple inner border using coordinating floss.

Once again, I really liked the running stitch on the outer edge which is stitched in taffy floss.

Papertrey Ink June Release Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! I have three projects to share with you today; first up is a card using the new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet, but this time, in an actual bouquet! haha!

To begin, I cut a panel of Royal Velvet cardstock and foiled it using the Framed in Flowers Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil. I added some Royal Velvet ink around the edges to give it some definition.

Next, I die cut all of the flowers, leaves, and stems from white cardstock and colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I layered them onto the smallest die included in the new Reflections: John 1:4 Die.

I have tiny little scraps of Aqua Mist cardstock that I am hoarding, but there was enough to cut the bow using the Wrap-It Ribbons Die. I secured it to the bouquet with foam squares.

The cute little pink seal is from the new Stacked Mail Stamp/Die set that I used on the last two projects.

If you love a postal theme like I do, then you're sure to love the new Stacked Mail Stamp/Die set. When I was in high school, I took German and we each got a German pen pal. Whenever an airmail envelope would arrive, I knew it was from her! I love the blue and red airmail look, but the sky is the limit with these new Stacked Mail Stencils.

It comes with two sizes, so I used it for the main border and then the smaller one for the stack of mail.

I used the Deco Framework Hot Foil Plate to add some additional detail.

I switched gears for this next card for a tropical look!

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 3

I'm back today for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! My first card uses the new Reflections: John 1:4 Stamp/Die/Outline Die along with the new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die. I love how easy these flowers are to color and put together!

To begin, I foiled an A2 panel of New Leaf cardstock using the Merry Motifs Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil (of course). I added some Pinefeather ink around the edges for a dramatic effect; it really looks like this card is glowing!

Next, I cut all of the flowers from white and then colored them with Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Lilac Grace, Harvest Gold, and New Leaf ink. I assembled them with foam squares and liquid glue and then spritzed them with Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I cut both of the sizes included in the Reflections: John 1:4 Die from Tropical Teal ink. I added Enchanted Evening ink around the edges of the larger die cut.

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on the same teal cardstock and then cut it out using the Reflections: John 1:4 Outline Die. I layered all of these up in the middle and then arranged the flowers in the two corners using liquid glue and foam squares. The spritz I used on them gave them enough sparkle, otherwise I would have added some glitter.

My next project uses the new VIP Ticket Die along with the new VIP Ticket Collection Stamp Set and the new VIP Ticket Collection: On The Cover Stamp Set. I also snuck in the new Always a Winner Stamp/Die set and the new Love to Layer: Ticket that was showcased on day one and yesterday! They just all work so well together I just couldn't resist!

This is a project I created to gift to a new mom who has just had a baby. I know how hard it can be to get dinner on the table with a newborn AND if you have other kids to deal with, it can be REALLY hard! I created a matchbox using these fun new products and then a coupon book to go inside.

So, this is the matchbox; it is made using simple score lines and a few cuts. I might have a tutorial for a matchbox....let me go look! ha ha! So, it turns out I do have one from a million years ago....the dimensions aren't the same as this one, but it will give you an idea of how to construct one, if you are interested. You can find it HERE.

The VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set comes with images for Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, Drinks, and a Home-Cooked Meal. For this particular coupon/ticket book, I just used the Home-Cooked Meal since it's going to be for a new mom.

I chose three shades of pink cardstock: Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, and Hibiscus Burst.

There is a stamp set to make the cover called VIP Ticket Collection: On the Cover. I did some gold embossing and added the flowers.

I used the dimensions of the coupon book to now how big to make the box. I think I'm going to add some paper shred or a different filler to place in the bottom and then add the book on top.

I did a simply knot of Hibiscus Burst Saddle Stitch Ribbon to keep the book together. I had a lot of fun creating this gift!

I thought it would be fun to make a card with the VIP Ticket rather than using it with a coupon book. I pulled in some of the products that were featured yesterday as well. To begin, I trimmed a piece of Limeade Ice cardstock to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and stenciled it with the So Radiant Stencil Collection. Before I removed the stencil, I spritzed with with Shimmer Spray-Sparkle to give the rays some sparkle and shine!

Next, I die cut the next layer from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and heat embossed the "Admit One" image using gold powder. I layered it onto the stenciled panel using foam squares. I also heat embossed the "VIP" and "I Love You" sentiments, which are both from the VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set, onto the smallest ticket included in the Love to Layer: Ticket Die. I layered that with foam squares as well.

I can't stop with the Always a Winner Stamp/Die set so I cut a strip of tickets from Harvest Gold cardstock and stamped the images using Harvest Gold ink. The 15 is heat embossed with the same gold powder.

I added some glitter stars here and there that are die cut using the Framed in Success Die. I also added some sparkling clear sequins as well.

My last project for today is another coupon/ticket book, but this time I used ALL of the dining options included in the VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set. I decided to make this for my daughter's birthday, so I chose some bright, fun colors!

I know some people don't actually "cash in" coupons, so I thought I would present an alternative, but with the fun theme in mind! I bought gift cards to some of her favorite places to eat that correspond to the title of the coupon: Breakfast-I Hop, Brunch-Denny's, Lunch-Chick-Fil-A, Dinner-Olive Garden, and of course, the last one is Home-Cooked Meal, which she can choose when to cash that one in!

I tied the book up with silver cord to match the stars.

I used one of the tickets from the Love to Layer: Ticket Die to give the cover some variety.

I love how pretty it looks stacked in rainbow order!

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! I have two projects to share with you using one of my unexpected favorite die sets: Through the Forest! My first card also features the new Inspired Expressions. It is a collection of beautiful famous and inspiring quotes along with some generic sentiments, like I've used here.

To begin, I cut a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock using the In Frames: Big and Tall Rectangles Die. I foiled the middle portion using the Cascading Dots Hot Foil Plate; another fun alternative would be the Cascading Stars Hot Foil Plate. I used champagne foil; it's usually my first choice! Once the foiling was done, I used Enchanted Evening ink around the edges and on the frame portion.

The Through the Forest Die consists of three layers of trees, the leaf portion, and a sun/moon and crescent moon die I cut the trees from Pinefeather, Simply Chartreuse, and Green Parakeet cardstock and then added some shading with ink and blender brushes. The leaf is cut from Enchanted Evening and then I gave the pieces a spritz or two of Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Spray.

The sentiment is heat embossed onto Enchanted Evening cardstock with gold powder. I was on the struggle bus when I was making the sentiment, so it got some stray powder, but in the end I really like how it gives the same feeling as the sky portion!

Everything is layered up onto a Vintage Cream 5 by 7 card base using liquid glue and foam squares.

Another fun set being released this month is a ticket set called Always a Winner. Back in May I used the original ticket set from clear back in the day for a Teacher Appreciation poster, so I was thrilled to see a new, updated ticket set! I made this card for my youngest son who will be turning 13 in September.

I couldn't resist using the Through the Forest Die again, so he's getting a nature-inspired birthday card, which he will love (I hope!). This card also features the new Wild Arrows Press Plate which I used to add the champagne foiled border detail.

The Always a Winner Die includes three ticket options: the long strip, a single ticket with a jagged/torn edge look, and a clean ticket. I chose to cut the strip from Honey Nut cardstock, but then used Vintage Cream and Pinefeather cardstock for the other two tickets for additional color.

It's easier to tell in this photo how I placed the tickets; I wanted them to be slightly bent at the perforations. I strategically place foam squares to keep them bent. This won't go in an envelope so it won't get smashed.

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 1

Welcome to day one of the June release countdown for Papertrey Ink! This month's release is jam-packed with so many lovely and seasonal products to kick your summer cardmaking into high-gear! My first project for today features a pair of card using the new Air Mail Stencil Collection, Destination Sentiments, and the ADORABLE new Build-a-Luggage Tag Die! The line-up also includes the beautiful new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet and a sneak peek (shhhhh) of the new Stacked Mail Stencil collection being showcased later on.

When I'm using stencils, I oftentimes make two or more of one design because once the stencil is dirty, I may as well use it a few times before cleaning it off. I prepared two panels with the airmail border using the new Stacked Mail Stencil Collection (the traditional airmail border) on Vintage Cream cardstock. I used Pure Poppy and Enchanted Evening ink for the border and then dirtied up the edges using a sponge and Vintage Photo Distress ink for a worn/aged look.

This is the feminine version of the pair with the addition of the flowers. The luggage tag is cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and the buckle is cut from Kraft with Vintage Photo shading. The Bon Voyage sentiment is from the new Destination Stamp Set; I also included some light stenciling on the tag using the new Build-a-Luggage Tag Stencil Collection.

I cut the ticket shape using the new Love to Layer: Ticket Die and then did the Air Mail logo using the new Air Mail Stencil Collection.

This one is more simple and masculine. I ended up messing up on part of the border stencil, so I trimmed the panel down and redid the stenciling on another panel and then just layered them together.

The cute little airplane seal image is from the previously released Going Places Stamp Set and I simply cut it using a 1 inch circle punch. I added the "handle with care" sentiment to the bottom corner of each of the two cards.

My second project is perfect for summer; I can almost taste the cool refreshing drink inside this darling pineapple. I was tempted to make it a Disney Dole Whip, but opted for something a little more bright and pink to balance out the rest of the yellow! This card features the new Build-a-Pineapple Die along with the previously released Pleasing Pineapple Hot Foil Plate.

This is one of those must-have die sets in my opinion; there are so many fun pieces that can be used on their own as well!

I die cut the pineapple from Lemon Tart cardstock and the detail piece from Kraft. I glued the two together and then went over it with a blender brush and Vintage Photo Distress ink to give it realistic shading.

I cut all of the accent pieces from white and then colored them with blender brushes and dye ink. The sentiment is from the new This is Big Sentiments: Hello and is heat embossed in gold ink onto Raspberry Fizz cardstock.

I added some glitter and Crystal Stickles for some sparkle and shine. The cherry is coated with Ranger Glossy Accents. I did use an acrylic paint pen for the white "shine" on the right-hand side and then added the glossy accents; this small detail really makes it look realistic!

Project Inspiration [Live Life in Full Bloom}

Wow! It's been awhile! Thanks for joining me today for this weekend's Papertrey Ink Project Inspiration! I normally create with a lot of layers, but I wanted the stenciling and pot of flowers to take center stage!

The grasshoppers are eating all of my flowers from my pots and flowerbeds so I guess the paper variety will have to bloom this year! ha ha!

This card comes together in six easy steps and I'll guide you through each step!

Step 1: Foil an A2 panel of Pale Peony cardstock using the beautiful Fall Harvest Hot Foil Plate and champagne foil. I like champagne more than regular gold because it isn't as yellow.

Step 2: Use bright colors of ink on an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Baby's Breath Stencil Collection. Cut it using the largest die included in the Rounded Rectangles: Pierced Die and add it to the foiled panel using foam squares.

Step 3: Cut the pot from white cardstock using the Perfectly Potted Die. Add the ink using blender brushes; my perfect recipe for a realistic terracotta pot is Berry Sorbet ink, Canyon Clay, and Terracotta Tile. Stamp the sentiment in black using the Just Sentiments: Welcome Spring onto the pot. Adhere it to the background using foam squares.

Step 4: Cut and color the foliage; it is included with the pot die. Tuck it into the pot and secure with foam squares.

Step 5: Cut the flowers and additional leaves from white cardstock using the Into the Blooms: Fall Boot Die. Color the pieces using the same colors as the stenciled background. Arrange them in and around the pot using additional foam squares.

Step 6: Add glitter to the flowers and foliage.

This would also make a fun interactive card; you could have a sliding mechanism behind the pot so the recipient could pull something out.

I always like to shape my flowers with a stylus and a foam mat.

Project Inspiration {Make Your Own Waves}

Welcome, friends! It's my turn for the Project Inspiration feature from Papertrey Ink! It's been awhile since I created an ink blended background, so that is what inspired my project today! I love using flowers for summer, but sometimes it's fun to switch to other delights of the season and the beach and water are definitely on the list!

To begin, I die cut two A2 panels from white cardstock. I added some masking/washi tape to the bottom to allow some white space for either a sentiment, and to keep the yellow (it will serve as the sunset) a little higher on the panel. I didn't want the yellow to get lost under the waves. Hopefully that makes sense! I used distress oxide inks with blender brushes to add the color.

I repeated the same steps for the second panel.

I added some white acrylic paint splatters, trying to concentrate them at the top. It's hard to see stars against a lowering sun, so that was the method to my madness!

I must have gone a little wild on this panel because they are definitely lower down! woops!

Once that was done, I added some shimmer spray over the top of the two panels. I love how it reacts with the oxide ink.

Next, I die cut all of the pieces I would need for both boats from black cardstock, including the seagulls using the Build-a-Sailboat Die.

I die cut the waves, moon, and clouds from white cardstock; grey ink for the moon and clouds and hues of blue for the waves.

I added some black ink splatter on the moon.

I stamped the sentiments, which are from the Floating By Sentiments Mini Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment for the other card on the white space left from masking it off while I was adding the ink blending.

I added the waves using foam squares as well as the boat pieces. The seagulls are attached using liquid glue.

The waves for this card are attached using 1/8 inch Scor Tape at the bottom; this allowed me to tuck the boat underneath to make it look like it's submerged. I attached the clouds and moon using foam squares and then cut off the excess from the clouds using my paper trimmer.

I attached both panels to top-folding A2 card bases using liquid glue.

I added a trio of sparkling clear sequins to each of the cards using liquid glue! I had a lot of fun creating these two cards. I really miss creating ink blended backgrounds....I'm going to need to remember to try them more often for different types of cards! Thanks for fluttering by!

The Greetery {Cap and Gown Millinery}

Hello and welcome, friends! I'm over on The Greetery Blog sharing a pair of Market Place arch boxes all done up for graduation and wanted to share them here, too! I have been having so much fun creating these for recent graduates filled with some of their favorite things! I always love adding a battery-operated tea light (turned off) at the bottom so they can use the box as a luminary after they take out the gift/treat. They look so adorable flickering inside the tiny shop once the gift has been removed and it allows the recipient to enjoy the box for a little bit longer and keep the celebration going!

I’ve also found that I love pairing a regular Market Place arch box with the mini–Market Place box together and then packaging them up in a gusseted cellophane bag with a white sturdy paperboard base. They sit perfectly flat and then I tie them up with specialty ribbon in a big, beautiful bow! It makes gifting them so much easier and so adorable!

To begin, I started on the large box and settled on a mint green for the base! I know I say it all the time, but I have a tendency of getting stuck in color ruts, so I purposely tried something new for the base. I was on a quest for new and exciting green cardstock and ordered three different colors, all of which ended up looking almost identical to each other AND matched some I already own! Haha! Oh well….I tried!

I used the Arch Box Large Die and cut the two pieces for the actual box, making sure to cut the windows from one of the pieces. This is totally optional, but if you don’t do this step, it won’t be able to be used as a luminary. I cut the base of the building, along with the windows, using the Market Place No. 2 Die. I like assembling the box and then setting it aside while I work on all of the details for the shop.

I cut the shutters from Aqua Mist cardstock and the window frames from Ocean Tides. The shop sign and the top of the building are cut using Hibiscus Burst cardstock. Once I had all of the main pieces cut, I got to work gluing everything in place. I like to use liquid glue for all of the pieces, but I used foam squares for the shop sign to give it some dimension. Once the main parts of the building were secured, I got to work on the accents.

The flower boxes, greenery, flowers, and banner are all cut using the Celebration Street Die and the shop name is from the Celebration Street Mini Stamp Set and is heat embossed in white detail powder. I left the window boxes white this time to give the market some crisp detailing, but colored the greenery with a blender brush and dye ink and then colored the individual blooms with markers. I glued them to the building using liquid glue. The “congratulations” banner is cut from gold cardstock along with the two bows, which are included in the Holiday Festoons Die.

I added the store front to the assembled box using liquid glue. You can place your hand inside the box to press everything in place. Once that was done, I added some Stickles to the flowers for some sparkle and shine! I also placed a tiny gem on the center of each bow as well.

I used the Arch Box Mini Die for the accent building along with the Market Place Mini Die. I chose a building that would have different architecture than the first to give some variety and visual interest. I took some of the colors from the flowers on the first box to use on this box. Of course, I just HAD to add the bicycle as well, which is also included in the Celebration Street Die. It is cut from the same gold as the banner with black wheels and gold brads to secure it together!

I like to use mini clothespins to secure the boxes, especially when I’m putting them in the cello bags so I don’t have competing ribbons at the top; does that make sense? I had so much fun working on this pair and I’ve already carved out some time to make a few bakery-themed shop boxes to give as gifts this week as well! I can’t wait and I hope to use even more different color combinations to stretch my brain! haha! Thanks for fluttering by!

The Greetery {Hey Honey, It's Summer!} Release Day

Hello friends! It's release day for the darling new Hey Honey, It's Summer Collection from The Greetery! As soon as I saw this sweet Hey Honeycomb Crab Die, I knew I wanted to make a Nantucket/Cape Cod feeling card! Betsy's cute tunnel card yesterday just about did me in with all of it's amazingness, so the Nantucket card just couldn't wait! ha ha!

To begin, I cut all of the pieces for the main portion of the crab and got to work assembling it with liquid glue and foam squares. I used the new Hey Honeycomb Summer Sentiments paired with the Hey Honeycomb Basics Die along with the new Honeycomb Heat Wave mix that is being released today as well. I glued all of this together and then attached it to the crab.

Once the crab was done, it was easier for me to grab cardstock and dies to see what I liked best! I chose to do the stenciling and embossing using the Making Waves Stencil and Making Waves Embossing Folder on one of the capsule shapes that is cut using the Capsule Basics Die. I also used this same die set to cut the larger Pure Poppy portion. the gold/blue frame is embossed using the Sweetest Frames Capsule Stamp Set and then cut using the coordinating Sweetest Frames Capsule Edition Die.

I layered the embossed frame on the red portion along with the cute star border included in the Capsule Star Studded Border Die. It is cut from Antique Gold cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse and is such a beautiful color and weight.

The base is cut using the largest die included in the Star Studded collection (linked above).

Here you can see the cute crab and his honeycomb tummy. I mentioned earlier this particular color honeycomb ball is included in the Heat Wave mix that will be released today as well. Everything will be available for purchase at 10 AM EDT! Thanks for fluttering by!

I'm happy to begin the season with such a fun set of products to work with; each one is a joy and I can't wait to use them all season long! My first card for today features the Hey Honeycomb Seahorse Die paired with the new Making Waves Die, Embossing Folder, and Stencil. To begin this card, I took a larger piece of watercolor paper and secured it to a cardboard backer with washi tape. I spritzed it with water and then added the blue watercolor paint over the top. Once I liked the color and saturation level, I quickly dried it with my heat tool, but you could definitely let it air dry if you'd like.

Once the panel was dry, I cut it using the Making Waves Die and the largest capsule shaped die included in the Capsule Basics Die. Once that was done, I embossed it with the coordinating folder. I chose to use the more detailed stencil to add a bit of teal ink to give it more interest. I realize this is more of a "backward" way of stenciling, etc. but with the watercolor panel, I didn't want to detract from that. That being said, when it was all said and done, I ended up covering most of it up, so on my next card, I did the same thing, but left it more open so you could see it better! haha!

I used the Capsule Fixed Border Large Die for the frame and then cut it using the Pretty Picado Die. I used watercolor paper for this as well so it would have the same pretty texture as the waves. I love watercolor paper and the inexpensive variety you can buy usually has the best texture! I did add a hint of the same teal ink over portions of the frame and then adhered it over the top of the waves. I love the Mediterranean feeling it gives the card! I layered it onto a teal card base and then got to work on the seahorse.

Here you can see the seahorse with it's tummy all inflated with the tricolor tropics honeycomb ball. I cut the base of the seahorse from Sweet Blush cardstock and then added the details with Melon Berry cardstock. Both the body and the details have ink shading as well with touches of glitter!

I used the Garden Tub Filler Die to create the underwater foliage! I just love the contrast between the blues, greens, and coral colors! I added Stickles to the greenery for a more luminescent look!

I used the Hey Honeycomb Basics cut from Melon Berry cardstock with white embossing powder using the new Hey Honeycomb Summer Sentiments Stamp Set. I love all of the cute seasonal sentiments that are included in the set, along with the essentials to let the recipient know to "peel open and stick".

As promised, you can see the beautiful Making Waves suite of products a little bit better on this card AND I made the card with the honeycomb already incorporated so you can see another variety in the tricolor tropics assortment. I created this panel exactly like I did for the first card, but this time I added green, which is included in the paint set I linked earlier.

This is a 5 by 7 card so you can see how large the beautiful waves are, BUT you could definitelyl cut the top portion of the waves and use it on A2 cards as well. There is a perfect break in the design that would allow you to do this very easily. I love this pearlescent paint for underwater/sea themed cards and with the addition of the Stickles, it looks so pretty in the light.

The fish was cut from Harvest Gold cardstock, including the fins, but I added heavy handed ink to give it dimension. The honeycomb ball is secured with the adhesive tab that it comes equipped with, and some additional liquid glue for an added measure of security.

I kept this card quite simple so you could really see the waves, but I did add two sentiment from the Laid Back Basics Stamp Set which I just love!

Papertrey Ink May Release Countdown Day 4

Welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! My first card for today features the new Big Blooms: Elegant Rose Die. I'm also using the new Frame Worthy Die along with the new This is Big Sentiments: Welcome Stamp/Die set.

My daughter just used my last wedding card the other day, so that means I need to build up my stash again. I chose to use the "Welcome to Your Happily Ever After" sentiment along with these beautiful roses. This card only uses the smaller roses, but my next card uses the nice big bloom, hence the name Big Blooms....ha ha!

To begin, I cut the pieces I would need for the three roses, the leaves, and the accent flowers. These are from the Into the Blooms: Pressed Flowers set that I can't seem to put down. I colored them with dye ink and blender brushes and then adhered the roses using foam squares for maximum dimension. I created the frame using the new Frame Worthy Die; I cut the frame portion three times from Sweet Blush cardstock and the base from white. I added some Aqua ink and ink splatter to the center and then glued the frame down.

I foiled a panel of Hibiscus Burst cardstock using the beautiful Merry Motifs Hot Foil Plate and then put the frame in the middle and surrounded it with the flowers and foliage. The sentiment is stamped in black and then the accent portion is heat embossed in gold and attached using foam squares. A good dusting of glitter and a few sequins finish off this design!

Here you can see the large rose in comparison to the small roses. This size is nice for a bold focal point!

I decided to use another accent sentiment that could work for a wedding or any type of "new beginning".

I looked up images of real roses to get the idea for this rose; yellow with the coral edges.

These roses are really easy to put together, which I love!

My final project for today, and for the release, uses the new In Stitches Starry Sky dies. As soon as I saw these new stitching dies, I had so many ideas in mind. It was hard for me just to stick to one, but rest assured, I will be pulling them out shortly to get to work on these other projects! My project for today is a pair of ribbon fairy/princess wands for two sweet girls in the neighborhood!

The stars are cut from one of the most traditional 5-point stars included in the set; there are some other sizes and star shapes along with different clouds as well. I cut them from Lavender Moon and Sweet Blush Felt; twice for each star and then stitched using DMC floss. I left a hole at the bottom of each star so the dowel could be added along with the polyfiber fill.

These are 1/4 inch dowels and are the perfect size for the scale of the stars....and for little hands to grasp. I added ribbon with long tails for added whimsy and charm!

I added a jingle bell to each want and this lavender wand also got a crown charm from my stash.

I made a tag for each wand using the new Handmade With Love Stamp/Die set and the smallest die included in the Love to Layer: Whimsy Die. These were so fun to make! Thanks for fluttering by!

Project Inspiration {Always Remember}

With Memorial Day tomorrow, I wanted to make something fitting and appropriate for the day! I will be showing you how I created this card for this weekend's Project Inspiration feature for Papertrey Ink.

This card came together in 7 steps, but six fit on the grid much better! ha ha! I will share the 7th step in the post!

I brought in some older favorites paired with a few new things to bring this card to life!

step 1: Blend Spring Rain ink around the edges of an A2 panel of Spring Rain cardstock.

Step 2: Glue the Cover Plate: Ornate diecut to the panel using liquid glue.

Step 3: Cut two Oval Frames from white cardstock and glue them together. Attach them to the background using foam squares.

Step 4: Cut the pieces for the poppies from white cardstock. Add the color using dye ink and blender brushes. Glue them together with foam squares and liquid glue and then attach them to the frame.

Step 5: cut the foliage and accent flowers and color them the same as the poppies. Arrange them on the frame using liquid glue and foam squares.

Step 6: Heat emboss the sentiment using gold powder. Cut it out and then attach it inside the frame using foam squares. Add a trio of gold drops using liquid glue.

Step 7: Apply glitter to the flowers and foliage using a two-way glue pen.

I always like to use foam squares with these large flowers to give them realistic dimension.

I toyed around with heat embossing the sentiment on Pure Poppy cardstock which could be a bold alternative.

I have been loving adding light blue and pink to my patriotic cards!

Papertrey Ink May Release Countdown Day 2

Hello and welcome, friends! It's the 3rd day of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! I'm back with more patriotic inspiration using the darling new Sweet Americana Die/Stencil set. I chose to use the cute popsicle dies to create this fun and whimsical 4th of July card!

To begin, I cut the scalloped frame using the Fantastic Front: Scalloped Frame Die from white cardstock and adhere it to an A2 panel of Pure Poppy cardstock. I also used one of the star dies that is included in the new set to create the fun star border. It cuts twelve stars at one time so it was easy to get these cut quickly. I used my gem picker and liquid glue to make quick work and I just love how it turned out!

Next, I cut the striped frame using the In Frames: Rectangle Die and again from white and glued them together for a sturdy piece. I added it to the scalloped frame using foam squares. Once that was done, I used the middle-size mat included in the new Love to Layer: Whimsy Die and cut it from Sweet Blush cardstock. I placed it in the middle of the frame for a landing spot for the popsicle.

I cut the popsicle stick three times from Fine Linen cardstock and glued them together. I added some Vintage Photo ink around the edges. The base of the popsicle is cut from white and then the top is cut from Pure Poppy and the bottom is cut from Blueberry Sky. I have a bad habit with not planning out my sentiment ahead of time, but in this case, the white portion was the perfect spot for this sentiment, which is from the Celebrate Freedom Stamp Set. I didn't plan this ahead of time so I added it after the card was assembled, which I would NOT recommend. Stamp it before the popsicle is added to the card... ha ha!

The stars at the top of the popsicle are meant to be for the pie, but they look so cute at the top of this popsicle, so I went with it! I'm currently obsessed with the Into the Blooms: Pressed Flowers Die so I added some flowers from that set as well!

I forgot to mention earlier, but I did spritz the popsicle with shimmer spray before I added it to the card and then I added glitter to the flowers, leaves, and popsicle.

My next card features the new Reflections: Psalm 46 Stamp/Die set and the new So Radiant Stencil Collection. I was in the mood for something warm and sunshine-y so I opted for Canyon Clay, Harvest Gold, and Lemon Tart cardstock.

To begin, I foiled a panel of Canyon Clay cardstock using the Filigree Frame Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil. I trimmed it down and added some Canyon Clay ink around the edges and then mounted it onto a top-folding A2 card base using foam squares.

I cut the largest mat included in the new Love to Layer: Whimsy Die and added the sunrays using the So Radiant Stencil Collection with Harvest Gold ink. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold and then cut using the Reflections: Psalm 46 Outline Die.

I had a few flowers and leaves leftover from my quilt card yesterday along with a lone bee, so I added them to this card for a simply look. I also added a trio of sparkling clear sequins for sparkle and shine!

Papertrey Ink May Release Countdown Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! I have some fun, summery cards to share with you today using products you're sure to fall in love with! My first card for today uses the new Build-a-Bear Die set and I've paired it with the new Land That I Love Sentiments that were showcased yesterday.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it before, but all of my boys have the same initials with RL being the first and last. Of course, the famous American designer Ralph Lauren also boasts these initials on many of his designs, so my kids have worn quite a bit of Ralph Lauren during their growing up years, including the Ralph Lauren Bear or Polo Bear, whichever you prefer!

I decided to head in that direction for this card, but the bear ended up being a girl bear in the end because the bow is just too cute! ha ha!

To begin, I cut all of the main pieces for the bear from Fine Linen cardstock and then added some Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges with a blender brush. I also darkened the foot pads and ears to completely change the color using the same ink. The sweater is cut from Dark Indigo cardstock and then the flag is cut from white, Pure Poppy, and Enchanted Evening. I popped it up using foam squares for a bit of dimension.

Rather than cutting the whites of the eyes with the included dies, I simply added white with a white paint pen. The stars and bows are also included in the die set and I cut them from Pure Poppy to bring in a bit more red! The background was created by cutting an A2 panel of Bitty Big: Blueberry Sky Color Collection pattern paper. I glued it to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue and then layered the Reflections: John 1 Die frame over the top.

My second card for today uses the new Quilt-It: Baby Die. There is also a coordinating stamp set to stamp the patterns on the quilt pieces, but I opted to use pattern paper for my card today. I found some old papers from My Mind's Eye that are the right scale and look "quilt-y". I cut them using the Quilt-It: Baby Die and then adhered them to a white star base from the same die set. I let that dry and got to work on the background.

I love this Reflections: John 1 Die and I felt it would be perfect to frame the quilt star. I used the same pattern papers as the quilt pieces to place behind the frame. I used foam squares to pop the frame and then glued the other pieces in place.

I took my color cues for the flowers from the pattern paper. I cut the flowers and leaves using the Into the Blooms: Wild Wood Die from white cardstock and then colored them with Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, Ocean Tides, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado ink. I added them around the frame using liquid glue and foam squares.

I had originally started this card to be for a baby boy, but I felt it really needed some flowers, so I switched gears and added the summer sentiment using the new This is Big Sentiments: Welcome Stamp/Die set. I really love how this card turned out, even though I desperately need baby boy cards! ha ha! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink May Release Countdown Day 1

Hello friends! I hope you're all surviving "Maycember"! ha ha! With three kids in three different schools this year, things have been BUSY! Lots of fun things to celebrate and attend, but sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming, am I right?

It's always a good time when I'm here to share projects made for a countdown and here we are for day 1 of the Papertrey Ink May release countdown! My first card for today uses the new So Radiant Stencil Collection paired with the new Amazing Grace Background Stamp. There is also an Amazing Grace Press Plate, but I don't have the Letter Press system, so I just opted to use the stamp today.

This card also uses the new Love to Layer: Whimsy Die...I chose to use the largest in the set to cut out the heat embossed Amazing Grace background. I heat embossed it on Raspberry Fizz cardstock using gold powder and then mounted it onto the stenciled panel. The stencil set has three stencils; you can use two together to have two different colored "rays" or you can use the stencil with all of the "rays" and just use one color. I opted to use the two stencils for two different colors of yellow.

I left the stencil over the top on the first step and added some darker yellow ink splatter and then removed the stencil.

The card I'm sharing for the Project Inspiration feature this weekend uses the poppies, so I thought I would try them in pink! I love how they turned out. I cut them using the Into the Blooms: Poppies Die and the Into the Blooms: Pressed Flowers Die from white cardstock and then colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I arranged them over the background using foam squares and liquid glue and then added some glitter!

I'm always a sucker for patriotic themed products and even more so this year, with the 250th birthday coming up! This is the new Freedom in Bloom stamp set paired with the new Cover Plate: Gathering Florals Die.

I also used the fabulous new Land That I Love Sentiments heat embossed in gold.

I added some flowers from the same Into the Blooms: Pressed Flowers and from Into the Blooms: Wild Wood.

Pinkfresh Studio {Missing Our Talks}

Hello and welcome, friends! I'm popping in today to share a couple of cards using some fun newish products from Pinkfresh Studio! I was 100 percent inspired by some mini slimline cards that Yana Smakula made back in April. I watched her video, placed my order, and waited patiently until my order arrived. One of the reasons why I fell in love with her cards is because of the washi tape accents. I have rolls and rolls of gorgeous washi tape leftover from my days on the Pinkfresh Studio design team and this is such a fun way to use it!

I don't have the variety of tape that she used, so I just went through my stash to find one that I liked and then I pulled ink to match the flowers. This was the inspiration for how I colored my buildings.

To begin, I stamped the buildings in black using the Darling District Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Both buildings are on one stamp, so it makes it easy to make the two very easily. The Darling District Stencil Collection also colors both buildings at once so it's so easy and time saving!

Once the stamping and stenciling was done, I used the coordinating Darling District Die to cut both buildings. I cut them again and glued the two together for a sturdy piece. I really just followed Yana's tutorial to a T....ha ha! I chose the same sentiment that she did as well because it fits so nicely on the card, but there are quite a few other sentiments and the die includes the coordinating dies for each sentiment, except the little shop names.

I arranged the washi flowers around the buildings and secured them with foam squares. It's been awhile since I used Shimmer Spray, so I gave each panel a spritz or two for sparkle and shine and then added some gems using liquid glue and then mounted the panels onto white mini slimline card bases using foam squares.

I love how these came out and it was just the perfect personal creative project I needed before I dive into design team projects! Thanks for fluttering by!

My cute nephew is getting married in July and my daughter and I have been invited to his fiancé‘s bridal shower later this month. The invitation is so cute; citrus-themed with orange, soft pink, and fuchsia! This new collection is just perfect to coordinate with the theme AND I curated her gift to match the theme as well, incorporating some of my favorites along with things from her registry!

To begin this card, I cut the base and the outer die cut portion using the Capsule Basics Die from Summer Sunrise cardstock. I then used the new Pretty Picado Die to cut the beautiful pattern. I rubbed a white pigment inkpad over the top to give it a soft look. I layered it onto the scalloped piece using foam squares.

Next, I cut the middle piece using the same capsule basics and then used the Pretty Picado Cutaway Sentiments Die to cut the HAPPY word. Once that was done, I used the Pretty Picado Embossing Folder to add the design. From there, I knew where to stamp the "FOR YOU" portion of the sentiment; you can see there is a place where there isn't any embossing. You can place this either at the top or bottom of your card depending on which configuration of a sentiment you are using.

Next, I cut a FRAME of Sweet Blush cardstock and used the same embossing folder and then glued it over the top of the Summer Sunrise panel using liquid glue. I added the sentiment portion using foam squares. I decided to add a few clusters of Hawthorn flowers to the top and bottom for additional feminine charm! A bit of glitter and a few sequins finish off this card! I love how it looks so intricate, but it really didn't take much time at all, which feels weird for me! ha ha! With that in mind, I feel like I might want to make her a coordinating set of notecards to add to her gift using these same supplies!

The Greetery {Fête and Fiesta Collection} Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for the Fête and Fiesta Collection from The Greetery! I had so much fun working on all of the projects I'll be sharing today! My first card for today features the new For the Ages suite of products paired with some of my favorites from the Pretty Picado suite that was showcased yesterday! I'm calling this my "Encanto" card! ha ha! A few butterflies would have made it perfect!

To create the candles, I cut the base from Rasperry Fizz cardstock using the For the Ages Die. Once that was done, I embossed them using the For the Ages Embossing Folder. I just stuck them in one at a time for accuracy. There is a coordinating stencil, but I chose to add the color to the raised dots by using a gold metallic marker. I cut the outline using the For the Ages Detail Die from white cardstock. I glued them over the top of each "candle" and then used the same gold marker to add the color. These look exactly like the big number candles you can buy at the store, and I love it!

I added the candle flames using glue and then set them aside. This card features the beautiful and festive new Capsule Star Studded Borders Die. This is what I used for the teal base layer. I will also be sharing more of this die set later on in this post. For the sentiment, I chose to use the Pretty Picado Cut-Away Sentiments die. This is the perfect choice to really give the banner that true papel picado look that I love! I stamped the "birthday" portion of the sentiment in black using the Pretty Picado Sentiment Stamp Set. I also added some of the cute floral designs using coordinating ink on the banner.

I tucked a few floral clusters here and there that were created using the Winter Medley Die. This card is for my sweet daughter who will be celebrating her 23rd birthday in July!

Switching gears a little bit to share a graduation card using the new Capsule Party Scene Die. I wanted to use school colors, so it's not as festive as my first card, but I do love a good "school colors" grad card! As promised, this card also uses more of the dies included in the new Star Studded Borders! To begin, I foiled a panel of Pinefeather cardstock using the Capsule Borders 1 Hot Foil with champagne foil. I cut it using the Capsule Basics Die and mounted it on the black panel that is cut using the star studded borders. I feel like I have been making quite a few shaped cards ever since the capsule collection was released last year and it's going to be nice to have a few more options to switch things up a bit!

For the party scene, I cut a piece of gold cardstock using the medium sized "pinked" edge star-studded border. Once that was done, I cut the balloon portion using the Capsule Party Scene Die from gold cardstock in the center of that first piece. Please note: this die just cuts the scene; there are no edge cuts or a border of any kind.

I used the star border to glue over the top of the balloon portion for an added festive measure! I also used a few of the streamers and "celebrate" banner included in the Market Place Celebration Street Die that was showcased yesterday. I glued them to the edges with liquid glue.

The sentiments are both from the new Capsule Basics Celebration Borders Stamp Set. I nestled them so they could be seen around the balloons and balloon strings. I added a few sequins and gems for sparkle and shine. The Party Scene Die would be perfect for shaker cards as well!

When I was making my arch boxes that I shared yesterday, I mused to myself that I had never actually made a card using the main market place buildings or with the accent of the smaller building. I made THIS card, but it only used the smaller buildings. So, when I saw the sentiments that are included in the new Laid Back Basics Stamp Set, I knew the "Welcome to the Neighborhood" combination would be the winner AND I would be making a market place card! ha ha!

For the pink building, I cut it using the Market Place No. 1 Die. The main building is Pale Peony cardstock and the door and top detailing are cut from Raspberry Fizz cardstock. The window frames are cut from Spring Moss and the banner is cut from Ocean Tides. Rather than add a shop name, it made more sense to omit that detail and just add the "to the neighborhood" heat embossed on Olive Twist cardstock. I also omitted the detail at the top of the building so I could add the welcome portion of the sentiment.

The little building is cut using the and I used the exact same colors as my mini box from yesterday. It complemented the main building so well, I just recreated it!

I stenciled an A2 panel of white cardstock with a cloud stencil and then I added the buildings using foam squares. I didn't add brads to the center of the bike on this one, but I think I like it better with the brads.

I added stickles to the balloons and flowers for sparkle and shine!

The Greetery {Fête and Fiesta Collection} Day 1

Hello and welcome! I'm thrilled and honored to be here today sharing projects made with the new collection from The Greetery and helping to celebrate the SEVENTH birthday!!! How could it possibly be the 7th birthday? Time flies when you're creating with beautiful and inspired products! My first project for today is an A2 Arch Box all decked out with the new Market Place Celebration Street Die and coordinating stamp set! I'm in love with all of the new shop names and can't wait to use more of them! I chose to make the Good Thymes Garden Center and pack it with some herb seed packets to give as a gift!

On the side here, you will see one of the smaller buildings that feature the new Arch Box Mini Die. This die is perfect for the small building from the Market Place Mini Die and of course, for all sorts of other things!

I cut this building from Lilac Grace cardstock using the Market Place No. 3 Die. The side pieces, window frames, and top portion are cut from Spring Moss cardstock and glued using liquid glue. I cut the arch box from the same Lilac cardstock. I always like to cut the window openings as well, so I made sure to do that before assembling.

As I mentioned earlier, the shop name is from the new Market Place Celebration Street Stamp Set and is heat embossed in detail white powder on Olive Twist cardstock and then popped up with pieces of foam tape.

The bunting, flower boxes, flowers, foliage and bike are all from the new Market Place Celebration Street Die....I can't get over the bike! So cute! I cut it from gold cardstock and black and then used mini brads to put it together. The smallest window basket/box is the perfect size to use as a basket on the bike!

The gold under the half circle detail on the windows is cut from the same gold cardstock along with the bows holding the bunting up at the top. I added stickles to the flowers for some extra sparkle and shine!

All of the pieces for the baskets, flowers, leaves are cut from white and then I just colored them with blender brushes and dye ink. The flowers are colored with markers so I could add a variety of colors. This mini building is cut from Ocean Tides cardstock, Pale Peony window shutters, and cream colored window frames. I added a coordinating sentiment using the Simple Spring Mini Sentiment Stamp Set. It's heat embossed with gold powder onto a strip of Pale Peony cardstock and then added with foam squares.

If you know me, there was no way I could just stop with one, so I got to work making the "Sprinkles Bakeshop"! I absolutely adore all of the shop names and can't wait to try doing the same thing I did with my Valentine's Day Boxes; I had fun creating coordinating gifts or things to tuck inside depending on the shop name!

For this shop, I bought a few bottles of cute sprinkles to tuck inside. It would be so cute to add with a cake mix or something like that for any type of celebration!

This box is cut from Hibiscus Burst cardstock with Melon Berry window frames and Aqua Sky (C&9th) shutters. The bunting and shop name are cut from Pale Peony cardstock. The balloon strings are cut from gold cardstock and then the balloons are cut from white and then colored with blender brushes and dye ink. I added stickles to the balloons for festive shine!

I kept this building free of anything that would place is solely in the birthday category, but rather just celebratory!

It would be cute to add a gift card to a local bakery as well! The possibilities are endless with these cute shops!

My next project uses the AMAZING and FABULOUS new Pretty Picado suite of products! I kept telling myself it would take a lifetime to exhaust all of the creative possibilities with all of the beautiful new products! That being said, I did my best to try and showcase each (almost) of the new products.

To begin, I used the beautiful new Pretty Picado Stencil Collection to create a colorful panel. I ended up cutting it so I could use it on two different cards, which I will share next! I used the center portion that was cut using the Capsule Basics Die as the focal point for this card. Please note, there is a spot for you to add the accent sentiment, like I did here with "For You". I stamped it black using the new Pretty Picado Sentiment Stamp Set. I used the Pretty Picado Sentiments Die and then stamped the "HAPPY" with an ombre look. I added it using bits of foam tape for dimension.

I used the Pretty Picado Die to cut the teal layer that the stenciled portion is inside. As I'm typing this, I realize I forgot to pop out one of the tiny holes (woops!). I cut it first using the Capsule Fixed Borders Small and then added the detail with the Pretty Picado Die. I layered it over another capsule shape cut from white to showcase the pretty detail.

The next layer is two of the new Pretty Picado Banners Die and then placed straight edge to straight edge. There are two different banners included in the set and I will be showcasing the other one on my next card.

I cut the coral frame using the Capsule Fixed Borders Large Die and then embossed it with the new Pretty Picado Embossing Folder. I rubbed a white pigment ink pad over the top to add the white to the raised portions.

The base is the same Aqua Sky color I used on the bakeshop and is cut with the Capsule Basics Die (linked above) and then embossed with the Capsule Basics Embossing Folder.

This card uses the outer portion of the stenciled panel with some of the other products I didn't use on the first card. To begin, I stamped a large panel using the new Pretty Picado Background Stamp. You can see it in the center of the card and on the corners.

As I mentioned before, this card also showcases the second banner included in the set. It also uses the flowers that are included in the sentiment set and are cut using the Pretty Picado Blooms Die. This is one die I didn't get a chance to explore as much as I hoped, but I can't wait to experiment with it!
