Project Inspiration {It Must Be Fall}

Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you've all been having a wonderful weekend! My life has been full of football, football, and more football, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I love watching my boys play! My sophomore-aged son won his game on Thursday, which was such a relief because he's been feeling really down lately!

It's my turn for this weekend's Project Inspiration feature for Papertrey Ink! I can definitely feel autumn in the air; the mornings are crisp and the light has changed just enough to let me know it's on its way! My card for today celebrates all of the beauty of autumn with the wood slices, autumn hues, and changing leaves!

I used a potpourri of products on today's card, but I'll be sharing step-by-step photos and instructions!

Step 1: Cut an A2 panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock. Add the pierced detail around the edges using the Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles Die and blend some Terracotta Tile ink around the four corners. Attach to an A2 card base using liquid glue.

Step 2: Foil a panel of Canyon Clay cardstock with champagne foil using the Filigree Frame Hot Foil Plate. Blend ink around the edges and attached it in the center of the background panel with foam squares.

Step 3: Cut a mat from Rustic White cardstock and attach it in the center of the foiled design with foam squares.

Step 4: Cut and color the wood slices, which are included in the Into the Blooms: Wild Wood Die. Stamp the sentiment, which is from the Larger Than Life: Fall Sentiments Mini Stamp Set. Attach them to the mat using foam squares.

Step 5: Die cut the word "Fall" three times using the Larger Than Life: Fall Die from Scarlet Jewel cardstock and glue them together. Add some Scarlet Jewel ink over the top near the joints of the letters for depth. Add some white acrylic paint splatter. Attach it to the wood slices with thin strips of foam tape.

Step 6: Cut and color all of the flowers and foliage. Give them a generous spritz of fossilized amber distress oxide spray and allow them to dry. The majority of the items are from the Wild Wood set (linked earlier) but I also used leaves and berries from the Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs Die. Tuck them here and there until you're satisfied with the arrangement.

Step 7: Add glitter to the flowers and foliage!

I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you enjoy it as well!

The Greetery {The Autumn Edit} Release Day

Popping in again on this exciting day; today is release day for the beautiful The Autumn Edit Collection from The Greetery! Everything will be available for purchase beginning at 10 am EDT. I've had so much fun creating with this collection and I wanted to share one more card with you today.

I just can't seem to get enough of the new Bigger Autumn Botanicals and especially this cute pumpkin. I decided to let it be the star of the show along with the beautiful sentiment included in the Simple Autumn Mini Sentiments. To begin, I die cut the scalloped background from Pinefeather cardstock using the Capsule Basics Die and then cut the center out with the same die set, but I used the Capsule Basics Stencil to help with proper alignment.

Next, I cut the frame using the Capsule Fixed Borders Large from Coastal Blue cardstock and then embossed it using the Rosemal Reflections Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the green portion with foam squares for dimension.

I cut two wreaths using the Magnolia Wreath Die from white cardstock and then added ink: Coastal Blue, Tropical Teal, Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink, Garden Green (SU!) and then spritzed it with fossilized amber distress oxide spray. I set it aside to dry and got to work on the pumpkin.

I cut it from white and then colored it with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink, a touch of orange left on my blender brush, and the same green as the wreath. I assembled it with liquid glue and spritzed it with the same distress spray. I allowed those to dry while I got to work on the woodgrain layer.

I cut the background capsule shape with the same capsule basics die (linked earlier) from white woodgrain cardstock. I also cut a filigree border from Antique Gold cardstock and glued it around the edge.

The sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto a strip of Pinefeather cardstock and then mounted on a Little Linked Label. I had some of these made from a previous project (haven't shared it yet...wink) so it was the perfect touch. The Greetery {The Autumn Edit} Reveal Day 2

Hello and welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for The Autumn Edit Collection from The Greetery! I'm so glad you're liking this beautiful new collection as much as I am! I have quite a bit to share today, but as always, you'll want to make sure you head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for all of today's featured products! Up first are two cards using the new Hand-picked Harvest suite of products. This first card is the most basic of the two; it combines the Hand-picked Harvest Stencil and coordinating Hand-picked Harvest Embossing Folder. The next card steps it up a bit by adding in the Hand-picked Harvest Die; I wanted you to be able to see the difference between the two styles.

To begin, I stenciled an A7 sized panel of white cardstock using the Hand-picked Harvest Stencil. I chose cool blue tones and greyish green for a different feel.

Once the panel was stenciled, I trimmed it down a bit on each side and then embossed it with the Hand-picked Harvest Embossing Folder. There is a small empty space included on the design for you to add a sentiment. I decided to go a bit larger and use one of the sentiments included in the Simple Autumn Sentiments Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in gold and then cut it using the Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Labels.

I added some gold drip-drops on either end of the label secured with liquid glue. The finishing touch is an Antique Gold bow cut using the Regency Bow No 1 Die secured with a small piece of foam tape. I gave it a spritz of shimmer spray, but made sure to cover up the sentiment because shimmer spray on dark cardstock is hard to photograph. I layered it onto a 5 by 7 panel of blue cardstock and then glued it to a card base using liquid glue.

The next card uses the stencil, but then I cut everything out with the Hand-picked Harvest Die. Once the pieces were cut, I used the Hand-picked Harvest embossing folder to emboss the individual pieces.

Once all of the pieces were prepared, I got to work on the background. The benefit of cutting out the pieces is you can use whatever colored background you'd like. I chose to use Autumn Rose cardstock with Scarlet Jewel ink around the edges and then splattered the same ink and some white acrylic paint over the panel for added detail.

I used the large panel that the pieces were cut from to use as a placement guide to put everything back together. I popped the pieces up with foam squares for added dimension.

You could also use all of the individual pieces on their own for different arrangements or as accents on other projects.

I created the sentiment just like I did on the first card and then added a bow using the Regency Bow No 2 die. This card also got a spritz of shimmer spray and some glitter to the individual pieces for sparkle and shine.

My next card features the lovely new Wildwood Bouquet Die and the new Wildwood Bouquet Embossing Folder. There is a coordinating stencil set, but I didn't end up using it on this project. I DO have a beautiful panel all stenciled that will have to be used soon, though; it's so beautiful!

This card was inspired by THIS card I made back in the spring. I love the colors and the feel, so that is what guided my design choices for this card.

To begin, I die cut the main bouquet portion twice from white cardstock and glued it together with liquid glue. I added the ink using a blender brush and then spritzed it with fossilized amber distress oxide spray and let it dry.

I cut all of the flowers and buds from white cardstock as well and colored them, assembled them, and then added them to the bouquet with foam squares.

For the background, I cut a piece of blue cardstock and embossed it with the Wildwood Embossing Folder and then added white pigment ink over the top for a fun effect. I really like how it allows the details to pop. I foiled a panel of white cardstock using the Capsule Borders Hot Foil and then cut it using the Capsule Basics Die.

I used the same die to cut a smaller capsule mat and then embossed it with the same embossing folder as the background, added the Filigree Border and mounted it over the foiled panel. I layered it all up onto the background and then adhered the entire background to a 5 by 7 panel of woodgrain cardstock. The sentiment, which is from the new Simple Autumn Mini Sentiments, is heat embossed in gold onto Sweet Blush cardstock and adhered with foam squares.

And now...switching gears to something a little more spooky! Eep! How cute are the new additions to the Marketplace series? This new addition is called Eerie Avenue and is just as spooky sweet as can be! I used the Marketplace No 3 Die and the Arch Box Large Die to create the larger box and the Arch Box Small Die paired with the Marketplace Mini Die for the smaller box.

I chose to use the "Brooms & Blooms" shop name included in the Eerie Avenue Stamp Set so that is what prompted the accent choices. Since it's a flower shop, I pulled in the cute flowers and baskets from the previously released Marketplace Celebration Street Die, but I gave them a "spooky" vibe with the colors.

This box uses the same flowers and sentiment included in the new Simple Autumn Mini Sentiments embossed in silver.

I used the boarded up window pieces, cobwebs, & the Happy Halloween banner.

I really love cutting the windows out from the box as well so the recipient can add a battery-operated tea light if they like. I usually put one in the bottom (turned off) for the recipient anyway.

I mentioned in THIS post that I always like to make the large and small box so they can be packaged up together. I have a photo (not the best styling, just a quick picture) of two packaged in a flat-bottom cello bag. I can't wait to package these Halloween ones up with some fun ribbon!

My last project just might be my favorite; the Eerie Avenue Stamp Set includes the "Pumpkin Spice Market" shop name and I couldn't resist getting right to work. This box uses the same large arch box (linked on the previous project) and the Marketplace No 1 Die. I cut the box and the main building shape from Honey Nut cardstock and added some shading around the edges and some brown ink splatter for a "pumpkin spice" effect.

The building's accents are all cut from Scarlet Jewel cardstock with the exception of the door. I like to use liquid glue to add all of the window frames so I have a little bit of wiggle room to get them places just right.

I also chose to use a banner cut from the Celebration Street Die (linked on previous project) with bows cut using the Marketplace Holiday Festoons Die. The wreath on the door is also from that same set.

The new Eerie Avenue Die comes with all kinds of pumpkin/jack-o-lantern options, but the trio of stacked pumpkins stole my heart for this project. I also added some of the same flowers from the window boxes. I was toying around with adding some pumpkins to the larger windows/boxes which would also be fun.

When it was all said and done, I want to GO to this shop, or rather own it and live at the top! ha ha! I had so much fun with all of today's projects!

The Greetery {The Autumn Edit Collection} Reveal Day 1

Hello and welcome, friends! It's such a wonderful day; it's day 1 of full reveals for the beautiful new collection from The Greetery called The Autumn Edit! I know you'll love it as much as I do! As always, you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the products being showcased today. My first card for today features the latest addition to the Shortbread Shapes family: Shortbread Shapes: Autumn Embossing Folder. This folder is designed to work with the previously released Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Die. I've also used the beautiful new Simple Autumn Mini Sentiments and these work perfectly with the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels Die.

To begin, I cut a piece of China White cardstock using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Die; I lined the outer die and the inner grid die together on my magnetic shim and then cut it out. I also cut out nine pieces using the smaller die included in the same set from Sweet Blush cardstock and then added some Autumn Rose ink around the edges for depth. Once that was done, I glued them to the grid with an adhesive tape runner. I embossed it using the new Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Autumn embossing folder. I used the same configuration of dies to cut the Autumn Rose border, but used an exacto knife to trim it to be just the frame. I used the same embossing folder and then glued it over the top of the other piece with liquid glue.

I created a wreath by cutting the leaves twice from white cardstock using the previously released Magnolia Wreath Die. I added some yellow, purple, and green ink to give it a realistic autumn look and then spritzed it with fossilized amber distress oxide spray. I layered the two wreaths together and adhered them to the embossed background using foam squares.

The sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto the Ocean Tides label. I used Antique Gold cardstock for the embossed pumpkin in the middle and added it to the label with foam squares.

The finishing touch is a coordinating Antique Gold bow that was cut using the smallest size bow die included in the Regency Bow No. 2 Die. I chose not to make a shaped base for this card, but rather a regular folded base that fits just inside the perimeter of the background taking the curved edges into consideration. I know the width is 4 1/4, but I can't remember what the length is.

My next set of cards uses a few new favorites: Bitty Autumn Botanicals Stamp + Stencil, Simple Autumn Sentiments Stamp Set, Bitty Autumn Botanicals Die, and the new Bigger Autumn Botanicals: Corn Die.

To begin this card, I cut an A2 panel of Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the details using the Bitty Autumn Botanicals Stamp. This is a red rubber cling mount stamp and allows you to quickly stamp all of the details for each of the tiny images. Once that was done, I used the coordinating stencil collection to add the different colors. I cut them out using the Bitty Autumn Botanicals Die and set them aside.

I cut another A2 panel of cream cardstock and stenciled some antique linen ink using one of the stencils included in the Diamond Foliage Stencil. I cut the overlay using the Diamond Foliage Die from Ocean Tides cardstock and glued it over the top of the stenciled panel with liquid glue. I cut two frames from the same Ocean Tides cardstock using the Frosted Frames Die and glued them over the top. Now, the reason why I cut two was because I had an accident with the first one I glued down, but in the end, I really like the depth it gives the background to have two stacked together (I did it again on purpose on the next card because I liked it so well). I added the focal panel, which follows the same steps as my first card, and then popped up the cute bitty botanical images using foam squares. The finishing touch is an Antique Gold bow cut from the Regency Bow No 1 Die.

I had so much fun with the background on the first card, I decided to make a second to showcase this fabulous new Bigger Autumn Botanicals: Corn Die. I cut the pieces for the corn from white cardstock and then colored them with dye inks and blender brushes. I gave everything a spritz of fossilized amber distress oxide spray and then assembled it with liquid glue and foam squares. I noticed that one of the squares on the new Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Autumn embossing folder showed the corn tied up with a bow, so I modified the Regency Bow No. 2 (linked on card 1) to create something that fit the scale of the corn a bit better.

I hot foiled the label the corn is on using the Oblong Octagon Lables Hot Foil using champagne foil and then cut it out using the Oblong Octagon Labels Die. I heat embossed one of the new Simple Autumn Sentiments onto a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock and then cut it with the coordinating labels die (linked on card 1). The frame is cut from Saffron Spice cardstock and I just love this color combination!

Eep! These new Bigger Autumn Botanicals have STOLEN my heart! I'm obsessed; I had so much fun creating this pair! I probably should have mentioned earlier, but before I made any of my projects, I just had a fun crafty session creating all of these fun gourds, squash, pumpkins, mums, corn, etc. I love having all kinds of options when I'm creating so I love doing some prep work ahead of time because you never know what combination you're going to fall in love with!

All of the pieces are cut from white and then colored with dye inks, and this pale gourd is colored with oxide ink. Once they were colored, I spritzed them with fossilized amber distress oxide spray and let them dry. I also added some white acrylic paint, thinned with water, to the gourd and squash for that realistic look; I'm very pleased with the result!

The mums have a stem and foliage, but I just used them individually here as accents. Both background are created using the previously released Checks Out Stencil. I used Old Paper Distress Oxide ink for the stenciled portion and then used the Tile Style Stamp Set for the details. I used Old Paper Distress Oxide ink, Coastal Blue dye ink, Olive Twist dye ink, So Saffron Dye ink, and Simply Chartreuse dye ink. I used another foiled oblong label to use as a grounding anchor for the gourd and squash. I heat embossed the "garden fresh" sentiment using the Tomato Tomato Stamp Set.

I couldn't resist using the "hello, pumpkin" sentiment with the Bigger Autumn Botanicals: Pumpkin 1 Die. I added a few mums here and there for this card as well.

I embossed a small panel using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Autumn embossing folder to use behind the focal image for added texture and dimension.

Project Inspiration {Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice}

Hello Friends! It's been awhile, but I'm thrilled to be here today with this weekend's Papertrey Ink Project Inspiration! It's that time of year when I feel caught; caught between looking forward to autumn, but clinging to the last bits of summer! Do you ever feel that way? I decided to embrace both worlds with this floral pumpkin design.

I've combined florals and foil along with the die cut pumpkin to bring this card to life!

This card comes together in six easy steps, including the sentiment on the inside!

Step 1: Foil an A2 panel of Autumn Rose cardstock with Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil-Champagne. Add ink around the edges with a blender brush. Attach it to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue.

Step 2: Attach the mat, cut using the Love to Layer: Whimsy Die, to the center of the background using foam squares.

Step 3: Cut and color the pieces for the pumpkin using the Into the Blooms: Pumpkins Die. Omit the middle piece and stamp the sentiment on the second smallest piece using the Thankful For Fall Sentiments. Cover the sentiment with a small Post-It Note and spritz the pumpkin using Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Spray. Attach it to the mat using foam squares.

Step 4: Cut and color the flowers using the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die. Assemble the flowers with foam squares and liquid glue. Spritz them with distress oxide spray as well. Arrange them around the pumpkin.

Step 5: Add glitter with a 2-way glue pen.

Step 6: Stamp the greeting using the Larger Than Life: Fall Sentiments inside the card!

I always thank myself for stamping an inside greeting when it comes time to send the card! ha ha!

I really like how the leaves from the bouquet layer over the leaves for the pumpkins. It really gives the card some added depth.

Project Inspiration {So Happy For You}

Hello friends! I've been clinging onto the last few bits of summer vacation with my kids so I've been a bit MIA around here lately, but I'm back today with this weekend's Project Inspiration feature for Papertrey Ink! Weddings are never out of season, so I'll be sharing step-by-step photos and steps on how I created this floral wedding design.

I used so many new products from the latest release that worked perfectly for this wedding card.

This card comes together in six easy steps!

Step 1: Cut a panel of Pinefeather cardstock measuring 4 by 5 1/4 inches and add some black ink around the edges for depth.

Step 2: Cut the frame using the Rooted in Love Frame Die three times and glue them together with liquid glue. Attach it to the background and then adhere the panel to a Vintage Cream card base using foam squares.

Step 3: Cut the middle size mat from Sweet Blush cardstock using the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops Die. Attach it to the background using foam squares. Cut the bow and glue it together and add it to the bottom of the frame with additional foam squares.

Step 4: Cut the flowers and foliage from Vintage Cream cardstock with the Into the Blooms: Gardenia Die. Assemble them using liquid glue and foam squares. Attach them to the focal mat.

Step 5: Cut the YOU three times from white cardstock using the This is Big Sentiments: You Die. Stamp one and stack the other three using liquid glue. Heat emboss the "So Happy For" portion with gold powder onto a strip of Sweet Blush cardstock.

Step 6: Add glitter and a trio of sparkling clear sequins for sparkle and shine!

This card could be used for more than just a wedding, but that is how I will be using it with an upcoming wedding next month.

The Greetery {Coastal Summer Tiles}

Hello friends! I'm over on The Greetery blog today, but wanted to share my projects here as well. I’m still having fun using some of the products I didn’t get a chance to use during the release! I have been itching to use the Coastal Cuttings Die in a different colorway, so that was the springboard for today’s projects!

To begin, I die cut 2 of all of the pieces included in the Coastal Cuttings Die; I accidentally ripped one of the main “bouquet” pieces, so I decided to pull it apart the rest of the way and just use some “sprigs” on the second card. I cut all of the pieces from white and then colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I used liquid glue and small foam squares to assemble the flowers/bouquet. I set the flowers aside and got to work on the backgrounds.

The first card uses the full bouquet with a border of tiles created using the Checks Out Stencil and the Tile Style Stamp Set . Confession time: I can’t even begin to tell you how many “experiments” I did with these cute little tiles for my countdown projects and every single one ended up in the garbage. I felt really frustrated, but told myself to just wait to see how Betsy used them so I would know how they SHOULD look! Haha! Of course, she didn’t disappoint and I fell in love with her card using the colorful tiles, so that was the direction I headed with these tiles. I chose to use colors that I used on the flowers for continuity. Both cards use the same border, but I chose different stamps in different colors to add some variety.

I wanted to add a little bit more interest behind the large bouquet, so I cut a piece of white cardstock and then embossed it using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Embossing Folder. I added a bit of the same yellow that I used on the stenciled tiles for some depth. I layered it onto the background using foam squares and then added the bouquet using additional foam squares. The sentiment is from the new Simple Everyday Sentiments and is heat embossed in white and then cut using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels Die. I tucked it near the bottom and is attached with a double layer of foam squares.

My next card uses the same border as I mentioned earlier, but stamped in different tile images. I created a panel of yellow cardstock stamped with the Tile Style Background Stamp and layered that in the middle. Next, I die cut a piece of Canyon Clay cardstock using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels Die and then heat embossed the sentiment using the Simple Everyday Mini Sentiments Stamp Set. My old eyes didn’t realize how much stray powder there was until I edited my photos on my big computer screen (woops!), but I actually like how it looks, otherwise I would have ripped it apart and started over! Haha! Sometimes those “mistakes” can turn out okay! I embossed the tile piece using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Tiles Embossing Folder and then added it using foam squares.

I tucked the flower sprigs here and there until I was satisfied with the arrangement. I layered this card onto an A2 panel of Pure Poppy cardstock for some additional depth and to ground the card a bit more. In the end, the tile borders made me think of a patchwork quilt that has seen its fair share of summer picnics, campouts, beach days, fireworks, etc.

I had so much fun putting these two cards together and I hope it gives you some additional inspiration for all of your new goodies! Thanks for fluttering by!

Project Inspiration {Sweet as Pie}

Hello friends! It's my turn for this weekend's Project Inspiration feature for Papertrey Ink! There's something so wonderful about the sweet summer harvest and celebrating the delights of the season! This card was created with that in mind; juicy raspberries, sweet cream, and the shimmer of foil make this card look good enough to eat!

I've chosen quite a potpourri of products to bring this card to life!

I will be sharing steps and detailed instruction on how I put this card together!

Step 1: Foil an A2 panel of Raspberry Fizz cardstock with champagne foil and the Merry Motifs Hot Foil Plate. Ad some Raspberry Fizz and Scarlet Jewel ink around the corners with a blender brush.

Step 2: Adhere the background to an A2 white card base using liquid glue. Add the Scalloped Ovals to the center with foam squares.

Step 3: Cut and color the pie using the Sweet as Pie Die. Glue it together and add it to the center of the background using foam squares.

Step 4: Cut and color the berries and leaves. The berries are from the Build-a-Teapot Die and the leaves are from the Into the Blooms: Spring Basket Die.

Step 5: Cut and color the flowers. Add the with liquid glue and foam squares.

Step 6: Stamp the sentiment using the Feathered Friends Mini 3 Stamp Set. Cut it using the Just Tags Die and attach it to the card using foam squares.

Step 7: Add glitter to the berries, flowers, and leaves for some sparkle and shine!

I like using three shades of ink on the berries to create realism: Pale Peony, Raspberry Fizz, and Scarlet Jewel.

I like using a 2-Way Glue pen to adhere the glitter, but make sure you clean it off after you swipe anything with red ink, because it will transfer to the other things like leaves and the flowers. Thank goodness it doesn't happen with the other colors.

I mentioned in one of my countdown posts that I didn’t get a chance to use the Canned Lite Die and that I would soon be remedying that! Well, today is the day! These little sardine cans are just the cutest thing and I’m so thrilled I was able to use two on a standard A2 card, with room to spare for other fun details!

To begin, I cut a panel of China White cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse) measuring 4 by 5 ¼ inches and embossed it using the beautiful Citrus Fields Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a top-folding A2 Vintage Cream card base using foam squares for dimension. I set that aside and got to work on the “olives”; this was achieved by using the Rosemary & Berry Die.

I cut all of the sprigs from white cardstock and then colored them with Mellow Moss (SU!) and Ripe Avocado ink. I used some Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide ink to color a scrap of white cardstock and then cut the "olives” from that. I glued them onto the sprigs using liquid glue.

Next, I had so much fun creating the little sardine cans using the Canned Lite Die, Ciao Bella Borders Stamp Set, and the Something Fishy Stamp Set and Die. The sardines are cut from white and then I added the color and shading using dye inks and blender brushes. The base of the closed can is cut from Antique Gold cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse) and the open can is cut from silver specialty cardstock. I love using metallic cardstock for the cans and the aluminum details.

I used the Citrus Fields Die for the lemons and additional foliage. I cut everything from white and then added the color with dye inks and blender brushes. I had a few daisies leftover from my release projects, which are cut using the Coastal Cuttings Die, so I added the pair for additional details. The finishing touch is the La Dolce Vita sentiment from the Rolling Hills Bella Terra Additions Stamp Set. I had a lot of fun with this project and I hope it gives you some additional inspiration for those of you who may be diving into the new release! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 4

And just like that, we're at the 4th and final day of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown! I have three projects to share today; up first are two cards using the new Framed in Flowers Stamp/Die/Stencil set.

There are two different flower images included: Peony and Sunflower with coordinating stencils to color the flowers and leaves. To begin, I stamped the image using Vintage Photo distress ink making sure to leave the stamp in the MISTI. I used the coordinating stencils to add the color and then stamped it again with Versamark and embossed it in gold.

Once that was done, I set it aside to work on the background and details. I cut a panel of Tropical Teal cardstock measuring 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I then cut the new Rooted in Love Frame three times from the same cardstock and then glued them together. I left the opening at the bottom and glued it to the background panel with liquid glue.

I cut the flower from white cardstock using the Freshly Picked Die that was showcased yesterday. I only used the smallest peony flowers and the leaves are from the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet; I felt they matched the shape of the leaves of the focal image.

I arranged them with liquid glue and foam squares. The sentiment is from the new This is Big Sentiments: You stamp set that was featured on day 1.

This card uses the other image in the Framed in Flowers set. For this one, I stamped it in the same Vintage Photo distress ink and then did the stenciling. Once that was done, I added some details with alcohol markers for added depth. I also added some Crystal Stickles glitter glue. These images remind me of stained glass windows so I wanted to add some sparkle.

The background is cut from Saffron Spice and then I added the pierced detail using the Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles Die. Next, I foiled the Ripe Avocado panel using the Regal Flourish Frame Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil.

The sentiment is from the Just Sentimetns: Wish You Were Here Mini Stamp Set and is embossed in gold. I cut it using the Hold That Thought Die and then added it to the focal point using foam squares. I added a trio of sparkling clear sequins for additional sparkle and shine!

My final project uses a few of my favorites from the release: This is Big Sentiments: You and the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops. To begin, I die cut the cut scallop box using the Scalloped Treat Box Die from Pure Poppy cardstock. I also cut a piece of Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper. I glued it to the box along with the middle sized mat included in the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops Die. Don't forget to stamp the sentiment before attaching.

I cut the flowers from white using the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet die (linked in first project). I just can't stop with this beautiful set. I added the flowers and leaves using foam squares and liquid glue.

The YOU sentiment is stamped and stacked three times for a sturdy piece.

I added glitter to the flowers and leaves.

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 3

It's day 3 of the July release countdown for Papertrey Ink! I have two projects to share with you today using some gorgeous new products! My first card features the beautiful new Freshly Picked Die set along with the previously showcased Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops Die.

To begin, I foiled a panel of Coastal Blue cardstock using the Regal Flourish Frame Hot Foil Plate with silver foil. I trimmed it down just slightly larger than the foiled design and then added some silver metallic ink around the edges with the direct-t0-paper technique.

I layered the middle sized mat included in the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallop Die using foam squares. I cut and colored all of the flowers and foliage included in the Freshly Picked Die set. I arranged them on the mat using foam squares and liquid glue.

I forgot to mention, but I did spritz them with Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz before I added them to the card.

The sentiment is heat embossed in silver using the Just Sentiments: Friendship Mini Stamp Set and then cut it using the Just Tags Die. I added it under the flower arrangement using foam squares. I layered the foiled panel on an A2 panel of Mint Julep cardstock (same ink around the edges) and then glued it to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue.

My next card features this month's Reflections stamp/die set. To begin, I used the beautiful new Leaf Garden Stencil Collection. I only used the first step, but added some ink splatter in two colors of green ink before I removed the stencil.

I cut the panel using the Reflections: Matthew 6 Die, keeping both pieces. I mounted the outer portion onto a top-folding A2 white card base using liquid glue. The middle portion is adhered using foam squares.

I cut another mat from the smaller die from New Leaf cardstock and then added it with foam squares. The scripture verse is heat embossed in gold embossing powder and then cut with the outline die. I layered that slightly below the center of the green piece to show off the detail at the top.

I cut the flowers from white cardstock using the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet and then colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I glued them together with liquid glue and small foam squares and then arranged them around the focal points.

I added a trio of sparkling clear sequins for additional sparkle and shine! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown! Today the team is showcasing the new Quilt It: Wedding Ring Stamp/Die/Stencil and a new set called Meadow View.

This card was a lot of fun to create; let me dive into the details! First, I stamped the quilt design using the Quilt It: Wedding Ring Stamp Set in Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. Once that was done, I cut it using the Quilt It: Wedding Ring Die.

Next, I used the coordinating stencils to add the color and pattern. There are a variety of different options to create a truly unique pattern.

Once the stenciling was complete, I used the sandwich suggested with my machine to do dry embossing with a die. I wanted to really give this a quilted look and this technique really helped me to achieve it.

Once the "quilt" was finished, I set it aside and got to work on the background, frame, and floral details. The frame is cut from a beautiful new color that is being introduced this month: Coastal Blue! I'm obsessed! I used the Border Bling: Scalloped Frame Die and glued it to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I die cut a panel of Berry Sorbet cardstock with the Rounded Rectangles: Pierced Die. I glued it inside the frame with foam squares for dimension.

I turned the quilt on the diagonal and mounted it with additional foam squares. The flowers are cut with the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die; you'll notice the blue flower is shaded with the new Coastal Blue ink. I finished it up with a thoughtful sentiment included in the Inspired Expressions Stamp set.

My next card features the new Meadow Vies Stamp/Die set paired with the new This is Big Sentiments: You Stamp/Die set that was showcased yesterday along with the new Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops Die.

And yes....more Coastal Blue! Move aside Aqua Mist, there's a new contender in town! ha ha!

To begin, I foiled the background panel using the Fresh Greens Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil. I cut the largest mat from the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops Die and then added some interest using the Watercolor Wonderful Stencil Collection.

I cut each of the three trees and stamped them in Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, and Coastal Blue. I added them with foam squares and then added the heat embossed sentiments! Join me tomorrow for day 3 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 1

It's day one of the Papertrey Ink July release countdown! My first card for today features quite a few new products: This is Big Sentiments: You, Rooted in Love Press Plate and Frame, Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops, and Build-a-Flower Garden Die!

To begin, I foiled the heart/leaf design at the top of a Hawaiian Shores panel. I die cut the Rooted in Love Frame three times from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and then glued them together. Once they were stacked, I glued the frame onto the Hawaiian Shores panel. I trimmed it down to measure 4 by 5 1/4 inches.

I die cut the middle sized mat from the Love to Layer: Sweet Scallops from white cardstock and then layered the cut flowers from the Build-a-Flower Garden.

The main "YOU" sentiment is stamped in black and then I heat embossed the companion sentiment in white onto a strip of Raspberry Fizz cardstock. The Hawaiian Shores panel is layered onto an A2 panel of Raspberry Fizz cardstock with foam squares and then I mounted onto an A2 card base using liquid glue.

My next project features the In Stitches: Hearts Die paired with the Build-a-Flower Garden Die cut from felt.

This heart is cut from Blueberry Sky felt and stitched with coordinating DMC floss. I stuffed both hearts with polyfiberfill and then glued the flowers on.

This heart is cut from Winter Wisteria Felt and stitched with coordinating DMC floss (3 strands).

I love how whimsical these cute flowers are!

Project Inspiration {You are my Happy Place}

Hello friends! It's my turn for this week's Project Inspiration feature for Papertrey Ink! I've been making a concerted effort to get out of my color comfort zone and try new combinations! When this particular palette presented itself, I knew I wanted to try it out! I love the warmth of the Terracotta Tile plays against the coolness of Ocean Tides!

I used a few of my favorite dies, hot foil, and flowers to bring this card to life!

Follow along as I explain my process with step-by-step photos and intructions!

Step 1: cut an A2 panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock and add the pierced detailing around the edge. Add the same color ink around the edges and attach it to the card base using liquid glue.

Step 2: Foil a panel of Ocean Tides cardstock using the Filigree Frame Hot Foil Plate using champagne foil. Add some Ocean Tides ink around the edges and attach it to the background using foam squares.

Step 3: Cut two mats using the Love to Layer: Top Notch Die from Saffron Spice cardstock and white cardstock. Stamp the sentiment, which is from the Just Sentiments: You're On My Mind Stamp Set, in black on the smaller mat. Attach them to background using foam squares.

Step 4: Die cut the flowers from white cardstock using the Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die. Color them with dye inks and blender brushes and then spritz them all with fossilized amber distress oxide spray.

Step 5: Add glitter to the flowers and foliage.

Step 6: Add a trio of sparkling clear sequins with liquid glue.

I chose to color the leaves with Ocean Tides and Smokey Shadow ink to bring in the coolness of the paper. The larger flowers are colored with Canyon Clay and Terracotta Tile ink and the others are colored with Harvest Gold ink with green and orange centers.

I always add glitter with a Zig 2-Way glue pen; it's clear, and dries quickly, but holds the glitter well.

I love adding distress spritzes and sprays to my flowers and foliage to add instant interest with minimal effort and no expertise required! ha ha!

I particularly love this Love to Layer set with this foil plate because they match the curves so well! I've been struggling with my creativity lately, so this was a fun card to make using a new color combination to help get me out of my rut! What helps you to pull yourself out of a creative rut?

The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Release Day

Hello friends! It's release day for the beautiful and inspiring La Dolce Vita Collection from The Greetery! Everything will be available for purchase beginning at 10 am EDT! I have a bonus card to share with you today sneaking in a few products I didn't get a chance to use on my countdown projects. That being said, there are still quite a few I still need to use!

To begin, I used the new Cottage Tile Background; this is a big background that can accommodate all different sizes of cards. You'll want to cut your background to the size you want to use and then place it on the die; it doesn't cut an outside border, if that makes sense.

I glued it onto an A2 card base using liquid glue and set it aside to work on the details of the card. I already had this lemon bunch all ready to go because I ended up not using it on one of my countdown projects. I used the Citrus Fields Die and cut it from white cardstock and colored it with blender brushes and dye inks. I gave it a spritz of fossilized amber distress oxide spray and set it aside to dry.

The "grounding" strip it embossed using the new Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Tiles Embossing Folder. I attached it to the card background using foam squares.

I cut out the villa using the Countryside Villa Mini Die from white, with the exception of the tiled roof and shutters. I cut the roof from Melon Berry cardstock and then added some rust ink with a blender brush. The shutters are cut from the same green as the tile embossed panel.

I used foam squares to mount everything to the card base including the sentiment, which is from the new Rolling Hills Bella Terra Addition Stamp Set. I absolutely adore these sentiments and the font!

The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Day 2

Ciao, Bella! Welcome back for day 2 of full reveals for the La Dolce Vita Collection from The Greetery! I've pulled in a few things from yesterday's featured products (yes, I LOVE the lemons) but there are SO many lovely products being showcased today as well! So many, in fact, that I didn't get a chance to use them all! That will soon be rectified, though! ha ha! Make sure to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for all of today's featured products! Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, for a chance to win one of two $100 gift cards to the shop!

My first project features the beautiful new Tile Style Background Stamp; this is a large red rubber stamp that gives a crisp result! I went for the traditional Positano look with the blue tiles and yellow lemons, but the sky is the limit with this beautiful background; it would be perfect to use with the last release as well!

To begin, I created the lemon cluster using the Citrus Fields Die that was showcased yesterday; same creation steps as yesterday as well. I set it aside and got to work on the background. I stamped a 5 by 7 panel of white cardstock using the Tile Style Background Stamp. I cut it using the Shortbread Shapes: Snowflake Die and then mounted it onto a card base cut with the same die.

Next, I cut the woodgrain paper with the same die along with the star portion from the middle. I embossed it using the coordinating Shortbread Shapes: Snowflake Embossing Folder. I ran some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink over the top with a finger dauber for added depth and definition.

I layered the lemon cluster over the top with foam squares and finished it off with the "La Dolce Vita" sentiment, heat embossed in white, using the Bella Terra Stamp Set. There are quite a few Italian sentiments, but there are also the English equivalents included. I was thinking it would be fun to use the Italian version on the front and then the English version on the inside, just in case the recipient doesn't understand Italian!

Next up is fun card bringing in the "Canned" Die from yesterday paired with the fun new Botanicuts Tomato Die and the punny Tomato Tomato Stamps! It took me a minute, along with my daughter's help, to figure out the clever sentiment combinations! ha ha! I guess I'm getting old!

I love making shaped cards and this new Canned Die is the perfect excuse to make some! I mentioned yesterday that there is also a "pull tab" that you can add, rather than the rolled down version I've done here. It allows you to open the "tin" and see a surprise inside. That is still on my to-make list! This collection is so varied and fun, I don't think the ideas will ever run out!

I really wanted to showcase the tomato cluster, so I let it spill over the top and then added the punny sentiment!

The Botanicuts Tomato Die allows you to make the cluster or you can use the tomatoes individually. There is also a sliced tomato, which I didn't end up using.

The Tomato Tomato Stamp Set has quite a few combinations of sentiments, including a few that are pretty generic if you just want to send a seasonal card!

Someone just whisk me away right now please! This card features the adorable new Rolling Hills Suite; this is an addition to the original that made it's debut a few years ago! I absolutely adore these new additions! My husband's mom's side is Italian and the region where they are from has villas just like this! I was telling my daughter how jealous I am, that she, and her siblings, all have Italian blood pumping through their veins! ha ha!

To begin, I stenciled a panel using the Rolling Hills Stencil and then embossed it using the new Bella Terra Embossing Folder. My plates are so warped, I found that all of my embossing for this release got wonky at the bottom! Ugh! I was so frustrated, but I guess it gives them "character"! ha ha! Once the embossing was done, I got to work on the flowers. These are cut and stamped using the Bella Terra Die and Stamp Set. I added some alcohol marker details to the stems and flowers for additional shading. I mounted them to the rolling hills using foam squares.

This card features the new Countryside Villa Die (small) and then I made a shaped card using the large version, which I will share at the bottom of today's post.

Each set comes with the Cyprus trees as well; the larger version has cute window boxes, just like the cute ones for the Marketplace shops! This card features yet another sentiment from the Bella Terra Stamp Set.

Eep! It's so cute....I love this die SO MUCH! As I mentioned earlier, this a shaped card, but this would work on the Rolling Hills as well, and of course, on other projects!

The Greetery {La Dolce Vita Collection} Day 1

I'm so excited to be here today sharing a few projects using the beautiful and fun new collection from The Greetery called La Dolce Vita! It's jam-packed with SO many wonderful new products that will make you want to fly off to the Mediterranean! Before I dive into the details of my projects, you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "Meet & Greet" for each of the products being featured today. My first project uses the beautiful and refreshing new Citrus Fields suite of products! I've never made a 5 by 7 card set before, but with the large Citrus Fields Stencil and Citrus Fields Embossing Folder, I couldn't resist! Please note: if you only make A2-sized cards, don't fret; you can cut your cardstock down! Making this larger card set allowed me to challenge myself to create a larger box to hold the cards, which turned out perfectly, thank heavens! ha ha!

To begin, I stenciled four panels using the Citrus Fields Stencil collection. I did each step on each of the four panels rather than stenciling one completely and then moving onto another, if that makes sense. I gave them all a spritz of Shimmer Spray-Sparkle for sparkle and shine and attached them to 5 by 7 white card bases.

For the sentiments, I used the Oblong Octagon Labels Stamp Set along with the coordinating Oblong Octagon Labels Hot Foil and Oblong Octagon Labels Die. I really love how the hot foil elevates the look; it gives a boutique feeling, but with handmade touches.

Two of the sentiments are embossed/foiled on Powder Green cardstock and two on coral cardstock for variation.

I made a belly band to go around the set of cards and envelopes, similar to what you would find on a store bought set.

I found the envelopes on Amazon and they have a gold trim on the edges to elevate the set as well.

Let's talk about the box lid; if you're not into making boxes, you could make this as a card! The corners use a beautiful new set called Ciao Bella Borders, which I will share on another project today. I used the new Citrus Fields Die for the focal point; it's all cut from white and then colored with blender brushes and dye inks.

I framed the lemons with a frame cut using the Capsule Fixed Border Large and then cut using the beautiful Pretty Picado Die. I layered it onto the pinked layer that is cut using the Capsule Star Studded Borders Die and then some additional detail using the Capsule Filigree Borders Die. The lemons are arranged in the middle using foam squares for dimension. As I mentioned earlier, you could just use this portion for a card design, or even add the yellow portion as well.

My next project uses the beautiful new Coastal Cuttings Die paired with the Ciao Bella Borders Stamp/Die set. I couldn't resist using the Citrus Fields Embossing Folder again for added interest and depth.

If you fell in love with the Best Bouquet Die, you'll love this as well. It's the same concept for arranging the cluster!

I love the color combination found on the assembly guide, so that is what I used on both cards.

Everything is cut from white cardstock and then I colored each flower/leaf/ etc. using blender brushes and dye inks.

The two cards use the two different options for borders included in the Ciao Bella Borders along with two of the sentiments.

And now for something FUN! I absolutely adore this new Something Fishy Suite of products; so clever and cute! I've created a shaped birthday card using the Canned Die and the new Something Fishy Stamp/Die set. There is a smaller version of the can called Canned Lite. I didn't get a chance to use it on any projects, but that will soon be remedied!

I used green metallic cardstock for the "rolled down" portion of the can to give it some realism.

There are so many fun different sentiments in the Something Fishy Stamp Set; baby, birthday, celebration, etc.

There is a die so you can create a pull-tab for an interactive card; that's also on my to-make list! So many fun possibilities! Papertrey Ink Project Inspiration {Santa Mail}

Hello and welcome friends! It's my turn for this weekend's Project Inspiration Feature for Papertrey Ink. Since I've been on a Christmas kick, I thought I'd immerse myself more fully in the Christmas in July festivities! When I was making my cards for the June release, I couldn't help but think how fun it would be to use the Through the Forest Die for a Christmas card paired with the Stacked Mail Stencil Collection.

I also pulled in some older favorites to tailor this card to bring my vision to life!

This card comes together in six easy steps and I will explain everything throughout the post!

Step 1: Cut and A2 panel of Vintage Cream cardstock and then cut a smaller panel using one of the dies included in the Stacked Mail Die. Add the stenciling using the Stacked Mail Stencil Collection. Add some Vintage Photo Distress ink around the corners for a worn look. Set the smaller piece aside and glue the larger one to an A2 card base.

Step 2: Hot foil a panel of Pure Poppy cardstock using the Deco Framework Hot Foil Plate. Add some Scarlet Jewel ink around the edges using a sticky note to cover the foiling. Attach it to the stenciled panel using foam squares.

Step 3: Stamp the sentiment onto the smaller stenciled panel from earlier. This sentiment is from the North Pole Mail Stamp Set and I stamped it in black. Attach it to the foiled panel with foam squares.

Step 4: Cut the pieces for the tree portion using the Through the Forest Die. I cut the largest piece from Pinefeather, the middle piece from Simply Chartreuse, and the smallest piece from Green Parakeet. I added black ink to the tops of the Pinefeather trees, Ripe Avocado the Simply Chartreuse trees, and New Leaf on the Green Parakeet trees. I layered it all together with foam squares and then added some white acrylic paint splatter. Attach it to the card with foam squares.

Step 5: Cut the reindeer using the Winter Globes: Believe Die from True Black cardstock and then attach them over the trees using black foam squares.

Step 6: Heat emboss the two postage images that are included in the Deliver By December 25th Stamp Set and attach them to the card. Add glitter for sparkle and shine!

I used the Deliver by December 25th Die to cut them out after I did the embossing. I like to use a 2-way glue pen to attach the glitter.

This was such a fun project to work on and it's given me the drive I need to get started on some Christmas projects, especially tags! I didn't have what I needed last year and I don't want to be in the same predicament this year! I bought a bunch of fun things in January with the hopes of working on it all year, but so far, I haven't done anything with them! I think it might be fun to get some neighborhood friends together to make tags this month! We'll see.....haha! Thanks for fluttering by!

Poshta Design {Christmas in July Collection} Day 3

Hello friends! I'm thrilled to be back for day 3 of the Christmas in July Collection from Poshta Design! I've made three ornaments using the Homespun Holiday: Evergreen Kit paired with the new Vintage Starburst Sequin Mix; a match made in heaven! I had so much fun stitching up these three ornaments and I can't wait to hang them on my Christmas tree this year! I was feeling like I had neglected sequins and beads the first two days so I made up for it today! haha! Everything has beads and the beautiful new Vintage Starburst Sequins that I love so much! The kit comes with three beautiful colors of felt and coordinating floss. I did add a tiny bit of Wintergreen felt that is included in the Ribbon Candy color story.

This is the first ornament I made and is the most labor-intensive of the three. It is really easy to put together, though....just takes a little bit more time.

Here is a closeup of the beads and layers. You can omit the backer on the oval if you just want the green color to show through. I chose to use the Wintergreen behind and on the ornament topper.

I used three strands of floss for everything and then made a looped topper for the top; just don't forget to sandwich it in when you're closing everything up! I made this mistake twice, made some adjustments the first time, but totally forgot on my last one....woops! I will just add an ornament hook directly to the stitching.

My second ornament is the red one with all of the beautiful bead work! It was seriously so fun to make and I just want to bead all the things! ha ha!

Even with the beading, this was the easiest of the three!

This particular style is perfect if you have any word dies or year dies you want to add to the middle. I don't have any of those, so I opted to fill the empty space with some medallions and sequins.

Poshta Design {Christmas in July} Day 2

Hello friends! Welcome back for day 2 of the Poshta Design Christmas in July Collection release! I have quite a bit to share with you today using so many of the fabulous new dies! Just like yesterday, I'm using the Ribbon Candy felt color story for all of my projects with the addition of black from a previously released kit.

Up first are the adorable new Table Top Trees. These come in two sizes, but the two I'm sharing are the smaller size. The larger size is a bit bigger (obviously) so I didn't have enough felt leftover to make the larger one, unfortunately.

The die collection also comes with the star, as shown, and then it has little dies for ornaments. I loved my bare trees, so I didn't use them, but I can't wait to see other samples with the ornaments on the trees.

As you can see, the project consists of two pieces that slide together. The stitching guide also recommends putting a piece of cardstock inside the sandwich for stability, which I did and it's perfect. You simply die cut the tree pieces from heavier cardstock and then trim off the stitching holes and sandwich inbetween.

I used contrasting thread for this tree, but in the end I think I like the tone on tone tree better, but this definitely shows you options for you to decided which you prefer.

I'm not sure if I put the star on correctly, ha ha! It has a place to slide it over the top of the tree, so hopefully I did it right!

My next project is a cut little envelope stitched up "From Santa" using the previously released Love Notes Die but added the new Santa detail.

You can choose to or from Santa and then it has the cute tree stamp included.

Continuing on with that theme, the next project uses the new Candy Cane Express collection. This photo shows the Candy Cane Express: Engine, which included the bow.

This photo shows the Candy Cane Express: Passenger Car. I did add the bows to the window, so please note, they are not included in the passenger die. I also made a cute Railroad Crossing sign using the new North Pole Die. This has quite a few dies to make a North Pole sign, plus the Railroad Crossing sign; I'm going to finish this one with the pole so I can use it as an ornament with these cute train cars!

There are a few different ways to gussy up the car: candy cane stripes, Express, like this photo shows, etc.

Poshta Design {Christmas in July} Day 1

Hello and welcome, friends! I'm so excited to be a guest creator for Poshta Design featuring their new Christmas in July release! Today I'm sharing a few projects using the new Picture Frame Die, Picture Frame Extras Die, & the Ribbon Candy Color Story (felt collection).

My first project uses both the Picture Frame Die and the Picture Frame Extras Die. I used the Spearmint Felt for the main frame and then die cut the leaf portion using a die included in the "extras" collection. I stitched all of that with coordinating floss with three strands.

Once the leaves were done, I went ahead and stitched the frame with pink floss (3 strands). Normally I don't like to leave a running stitch, but rather go back to fill in the spaces, but I really like how it looked, so I left it like this. I felt it might be too heavy with the extra stitching. I started doing it and then removed the stitches.

The extras die collection also includes this beautiful poinsettia, so I created two of those with crabapple felt and taffy for the center. I also added some beads to the center for some sparkle and shine.

There are a few different options for how to assemble these frames. There is a die so you can cut a pocket to slip the photos in and out. this makes it easy to swap them out, especially if you're using it as a fridge magnet or something like that.

You can also add loops to the top to create ornaments....the sky is the limit! I couldn't decide if I wanted mine to be ornaments or not, so when I decide, I'll need to do some tweaking!

My second project uses the main frame again, which includes this precious scallop, and then I also added the inner border which is included in the extras!

I cut the frame from taffy felt and then cut the scallop portion. I stitched that with wintergreen floss and then added the crabapple inner border using coordinating floss.

Once again, I really liked the running stitch on the outer edge which is stitched in taffy floss.

Papertrey Ink June Release Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! I have three projects to share with you today; first up is a card using the new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet, but this time, in an actual bouquet! haha!

To begin, I cut a panel of Royal Velvet cardstock and foiled it using the Framed in Flowers Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil. I added some Royal Velvet ink around the edges to give it some definition.

Next, I die cut all of the flowers, leaves, and stems from white cardstock and colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I layered them onto the smallest die included in the new Reflections: John 1:4 Die.

I have tiny little scraps of Aqua Mist cardstock that I am hoarding, but there was enough to cut the bow using the Wrap-It Ribbons Die. I secured it to the bouquet with foam squares.

The cute little pink seal is from the new Stacked Mail Stamp/Die set that I used on the last two projects.

If you love a postal theme like I do, then you're sure to love the new Stacked Mail Stamp/Die set. When I was in high school, I took German and we each got a German pen pal. Whenever an airmail envelope would arrive, I knew it was from her! I love the blue and red airmail look, but the sky is the limit with these new Stacked Mail Stencils.

It comes with two sizes, so I used it for the main border and then the smaller one for the stack of mail.

I used the Deco Framework Hot Foil Plate to add some additional detail.

I switched gears for this next card for a tropical look!

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 3

I'm back today for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! My first card uses the new Reflections: John 1:4 Stamp/Die/Outline Die along with the new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Die. I love how easy these flowers are to color and put together!

To begin, I foiled an A2 panel of New Leaf cardstock using the Merry Motifs Hot Foil Plate with champagne foil (of course). I added some Pinefeather ink around the edges for a dramatic effect; it really looks like this card is glowing!

Next, I cut all of the flowers from white and then colored them with Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Lilac Grace, Harvest Gold, and New Leaf ink. I assembled them with foam squares and liquid glue and then spritzed them with Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz. I cut both of the sizes included in the Reflections: John 1:4 Die from Tropical Teal ink. I added Enchanted Evening ink around the edges of the larger die cut.

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on the same teal cardstock and then cut it out using the Reflections: John 1:4 Outline Die. I layered all of these up in the middle and then arranged the flowers in the two corners using liquid glue and foam squares. The spritz I used on them gave them enough sparkle, otherwise I would have added some glitter.

My next project uses the new VIP Ticket Die along with the new VIP Ticket Collection Stamp Set and the new VIP Ticket Collection: On The Cover Stamp Set. I also snuck in the new Always a Winner Stamp/Die set and the new Love to Layer: Ticket that was showcased on day one and yesterday! They just all work so well together I just couldn't resist!

This is a project I created to gift to a new mom who has just had a baby. I know how hard it can be to get dinner on the table with a newborn AND if you have other kids to deal with, it can be REALLY hard! I created a matchbox using these fun new products and then a coupon book to go inside.

So, this is the matchbox; it is made using simple score lines and a few cuts. I might have a tutorial for a matchbox....let me go look! ha ha! So, it turns out I do have one from a million years ago....the dimensions aren't the same as this one, but it will give you an idea of how to construct one, if you are interested. You can find it HERE.

The VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set comes with images for Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Dinner, Drinks, and a Home-Cooked Meal. For this particular coupon/ticket book, I just used the Home-Cooked Meal since it's going to be for a new mom.

I chose three shades of pink cardstock: Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, and Hibiscus Burst.

There is a stamp set to make the cover called VIP Ticket Collection: On the Cover. I did some gold embossing and added the flowers.

I used the dimensions of the coupon book to now how big to make the box. I think I'm going to add some paper shred or a different filler to place in the bottom and then add the book on top.

I did a simply knot of Hibiscus Burst Saddle Stitch Ribbon to keep the book together. I had a lot of fun creating this gift!

I thought it would be fun to make a card with the VIP Ticket rather than using it with a coupon book. I pulled in some of the products that were featured yesterday as well. To begin, I trimmed a piece of Limeade Ice cardstock to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and stenciled it with the So Radiant Stencil Collection. Before I removed the stencil, I spritzed with with Shimmer Spray-Sparkle to give the rays some sparkle and shine!

Next, I die cut the next layer from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and heat embossed the "Admit One" image using gold powder. I layered it onto the stenciled panel using foam squares. I also heat embossed the "VIP" and "I Love You" sentiments, which are both from the VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set, onto the smallest ticket included in the Love to Layer: Ticket Die. I layered that with foam squares as well.

I can't stop with the Always a Winner Stamp/Die set so I cut a strip of tickets from Harvest Gold cardstock and stamped the images using Harvest Gold ink. The 15 is heat embossed with the same gold powder.

I added some glitter stars here and there that are die cut using the Framed in Success Die. I also added some sparkling clear sequins as well.

My last project for today is another coupon/ticket book, but this time I used ALL of the dining options included in the VIP Ticket Collection: Dining Stamp Set. I decided to make this for my daughter's birthday, so I chose some bright, fun colors!

I know some people don't actually "cash in" coupons, so I thought I would present an alternative, but with the fun theme in mind! I bought gift cards to some of her favorite places to eat that correspond to the title of the coupon: Breakfast-I Hop, Brunch-Denny's, Lunch-Chick-Fil-A, Dinner-Olive Garden, and of course, the last one is Home-Cooked Meal, which she can choose when to cash that one in!

I tied the book up with silver cord to match the stars.

I used one of the tickets from the Love to Layer: Ticket Die to give the cover some variety.

I love how pretty it looks stacked in rainbow order!

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of the Papertrey Ink June release countdown! I have two projects to share with you using one of my unexpected favorite die sets: Through the Forest! My first card also features the new Inspired Expressions. It is a collection of beautiful famous and inspiring quotes along with some generic sentiments, like I've used here.

To begin, I cut a piece of Ocean Tides cardstock using the In Frames: Big and Tall Rectangles Die. I foiled the middle portion using the Cascading Dots Hot Foil Plate; another fun alternative would be the Cascading Stars Hot Foil Plate. I used champagne foil; it's usually my first choice! Once the foiling was done, I used Enchanted Evening ink around the edges and on the frame portion.

The Through the Forest Die consists of three layers of trees, the leaf portion, and a sun/moon and crescent moon die I cut the trees from Pinefeather, Simply Chartreuse, and Green Parakeet cardstock and then added some shading with ink and blender brushes. The leaf is cut from Enchanted Evening and then I gave the pieces a spritz or two of Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Spray.

The sentiment is heat embossed onto Enchanted Evening cardstock with gold powder. I was on the struggle bus when I was making the sentiment, so it got some stray powder, but in the end I really like how it gives the same feeling as the sky portion!

Everything is layered up onto a Vintage Cream 5 by 7 card base using liquid glue and foam squares.

Another fun set being released this month is a ticket set called Always a Winner. Back in May I used the original ticket set from clear back in the day for a Teacher Appreciation poster, so I was thrilled to see a new, updated ticket set! I made this card for my youngest son who will be turning 13 in September.

I couldn't resist using the Through the Forest Die again, so he's getting a nature-inspired birthday card, which he will love (I hope!). This card also features the new Wild Arrows Press Plate which I used to add the champagne foiled border detail.

The Always a Winner Die includes three ticket options: the long strip, a single ticket with a jagged/torn edge look, and a clean ticket. I chose to cut the strip from Honey Nut cardstock, but then used Vintage Cream and Pinefeather cardstock for the other two tickets for additional color.

It's easier to tell in this photo how I placed the tickets; I wanted them to be slightly bent at the perforations. I strategically place foam squares to keep them bent. This won't go in an envelope so it won't get smashed.

Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 1

Welcome to day one of the June release countdown for Papertrey Ink! This month's release is jam-packed with so many lovely and seasonal products to kick your summer cardmaking into high-gear! My first project for today features a pair of card using the new Air Mail Stencil Collection, Destination Sentiments, and the ADORABLE new Build-a-Luggage Tag Die! The line-up also includes the beautiful new Into the Blooms: Mixed Bouquet and a sneak peek (shhhhh) of the new Stacked Mail Stencil collection being showcased later on.

When I'm using stencils, I oftentimes make two or more of one design because once the stencil is dirty, I may as well use it a few times before cleaning it off. I prepared two panels with the airmail border using the new Stacked Mail Stencil Collection (the traditional airmail border) on Vintage Cream cardstock. I used Pure Poppy and Enchanted Evening ink for the border and then dirtied up the edges using a sponge and Vintage Photo Distress ink for a worn/aged look.

This is the feminine version of the pair with the addition of the flowers. The luggage tag is cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and the buckle is cut from Kraft with Vintage Photo shading. The Bon Voyage sentiment is from the new Destination Stamp Set; I also included some light stenciling on the tag using the new Build-a-Luggage Tag Stencil Collection.

I cut the ticket shape using the new Love to Layer: Ticket Die and then did the Air Mail logo using the new Air Mail Stencil Collection.

This one is more simple and masculine. I ended up messing up on part of the border stencil, so I trimmed the panel down and redid the stenciling on another panel and then just layered them together.

The cute little airplane seal image is from the previously released Going Places Stamp Set and I simply cut it using a 1 inch circle punch. I added the "handle with care" sentiment to the bottom corner of each of the two cards.

My second project is perfect for summer; I can almost taste the cool refreshing drink inside this darling pineapple. I was tempted to make it a Disney Dole Whip, but opted for something a little more bright and pink to balance out the rest of the yellow! This card features the new Build-a-Pineapple Die along with the previously released Pleasing Pineapple Hot Foil Plate.

This is one of those must-have die sets in my opinion; there are so many fun pieces that can be used on their own as well!

I die cut the pineapple from Lemon Tart cardstock and the detail piece from Kraft. I glued the two together and then went over it with a blender brush and Vintage Photo Distress ink to give it realistic shading.

I cut all of the accent pieces from white and then colored them with blender brushes and dye ink. The sentiment is from the new This is Big Sentiments: Hello and is heat embossed in gold ink onto Raspberry Fizz cardstock.

I added some glitter and Crystal Stickles for some sparkle and shine. The cherry is coated with Ranger Glossy Accents. I did use an acrylic paint pen for the white "shine" on the right-hand side and then added the glossy accents; this small detail really makes it look realistic!
