10 Essential Mindsets For Success As an Entrepreneur

Mindsets are a set of thoughts and beliefs that influence (usually subconsciously) everything we do think and feel. They often have their roots in our childhood and can serve as massive block to success if they are contrary to what we are trying to achieve.

The good news is that, with effort we can gain new thought patterns that support rather than sabotage our success.

1. Life (and especially business) is in constant flux and an entrepreneur needs to be able to accept this and to look for ways to turn this to his or her advantage. A business owner needs to not fear change but look upon adaptation as an interesting challenge.

2. Even a solo entrepreneur needs to take on a leadership role whether it is the leader of their community or a peer group. If leadership is new to the small business owner then they can start small with a little group and gradually build up to leading more extensive communities.

3. Play to your strengths. It is vital that entrepreneurs are cognizant of what they do well. Sometimes our strengths can also be used to bolster weaknesses. For instance if you consider yourself a great teacher but poor at selling, then utilize training as your main method of marketing - done well this can be very effective. Any weaknesses you cannot compensate, I would recommend outsourcing.

4. Solo entrepreneurs need to build a support team and to accept help. Such support can include masterminds, coaches, supportive family and friends, online and offline forums and groups and support personnel such as virtual assistants. Make sure that everyone on your team is a dreambuilder not a dreamkiller though someone who is willing to point out potential pitfalls can be invaluable.

5. Small business professionals need to have a high level of positive energy . Steps to insure this are both physical: getting enough exercise, sleep and healthy eating; and mental - thought filtering to weed out negative thoughts and surrounding yourself with positive people.

6. Entrepreneurs have to be self motivated. Try tapping into what really motivates you, use rewards to trigger dopamine in your brain, set deadlines, get accountability partners. Also find your rhythm i.e. do you work best at night or in the daytime - do you work best in short bursts or long stretches.

7. Be outgoing and friendly. Everyone is shy to some degree or another but it is very important to adopt stratagems that will help you to overcome the anxiety. Find medium you are least shy in, whether it is offline or online, social or more business orientated. Realize that practice will make it easier each time.

8. Always be open to learning - never stop looking for a better way to do things, never assume that you know it all. Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques.

9. Accept that there is no such thing as perfection. Although it is great to have a high bar make sure that it is not impossibly high. Anything can be improved upon later and sometimes good enough really is good enough.

10. Lastly make sure you always have fun. Some people have fixed beliefs that work is supposed to be dull and a chore. Look for the fun and excitement in everything you do and if you are doing too many things that are boring, look at what you can outsource so that you can focus on the fun stuff. This will help you keep up your positive energy and make you more resilient.

Which Rules I Applied From Yanik Silver's 34 Rules Of Maverick Enterpreneurs

Here are the 34 rules of Maverick Enterpreneurs, I red when Yanik first posted it onto his blog.

I bold the ones used ,which led for to more income and more freedom.

For example N.6. I set my speaking fee in my country to one of the famous speakers,who was my benchmark.He "ruled" for me. Than I found out, I deliver more insight, more usefull information and inspired by Yanik, raised my fee with 60%. I ask now 30% more than he does. And it works well. More invitations than before,for a higher fee.

1.It's got to be a BIG idea that you, your team and your customers can "get" in seconds.

2.Strive to create 10x -- 100x in value for any price you charge. Your rewards are always proportionate to the value you provide.

3.You must charge a premium price so you have a large margin to provide an extraordinary value & experience.

4.Provide a 'Reason Why' customers should do business with you and pay you a premium.

5.Get paid before you deliver your product or service. And when possible figure out how to create recurring revenue from transactions.

6.You get to make the rules for your business. Don't let industry norms dictate how you'll work or who you'll work with.

7.Create your business around your life instead of settling for your life around your business.

8.Consistently and constantly force yourself to focus on the 'critically few' proactive activities that produce exponential results. Don't get caught up in minutia & bullshit.

9.Seek to minimize start-up risk but have maximum upside potential.

10.Get your idea out there as fast as possible even if it's not quite ready by setting must-hit deadlines. Let the market tell you if you have a winner or not. If not -- move on and fail forward fast! If it's got potential -- then you can make it better.

11.Find partners and team members who are strong where you are weak and appreciate being paid on results.-now I have an assistant,who does all office work for me and customer care

12.Your reputation always counts. Honor your obligations and agreements.

13.Never, ever get paid based on hours worked.

14.Leverage your marketing activities exponentially by using direct response methods and testing.

15.Measure and track your marketing so you know what's working and what's not.
16.Bootstrap. Having too much capital leads to incredible waste and doing things using conventional means.

17.Your partners and employees actions are their true core -- not what they tell you.-watch out who is your partner

18.Keep asking the right questions to come up with innovative solutions. "How?", "What?", "Where?", "Who Else?" & "Why?" open up possibilities.

19.You'll never have a perfect business and you'll never be totally "done". Deal with it.

20.Focus most of your time on your core strengths and less time working in areas you suck at. - you remember, my assistant Esther, who works virtual, from home...

21.Make it easier for customers to buy by taking away the risk of the transaction by guaranteeing what you do in a meaningful way.

22.Always have something else to sell (via upsell, cross-sell, follow-up offer, etc) whenever a transaction takes place. The hottest buyer in the world is one who just gave you money. - brings in 30% extra income,anytime I do it

23.Always go back to your existing customers with exceptional offers and reasons they should give you more money. It's 5x less expensive to sell to happy customers than go find new ones.

24.However the flip side is - fire your most annoying customers. They'll be replaced with the right ones.

25.The marketplace and competitors are always trying to beat you down to a commodity. Don't let that happen.

26.Develop and build your business's personality that stands out. People want to buy from people.

27.Create your own category so you can be first in the consumer's mind. -it was before I red this -I founded my own event the Network Marketing Mastermind Day which is the largest generic NM training day in Central_Eastern Europe

28.Go the opposite direction competitors are headed -- you'll stand out.

29.Mastermind and collaborate with other smart entrepreneurs if they have futures that are even bigger than their present.

30.Celebrate your victories. It's too easy to simply move on to your next goal without acknowledging and appreciating the 'win'.

31.Make your business AND doing business with you FUN!

32.Do the unexpected before and after anything goes wrong so customers are compelled to 'share your story'.

33.Get a life! Business and making money are important but your life is the sum total of your experiences. Go out and create experiences & adventures so you can come back renewed and inspired for your next big thing.

34.Give back! Commit to taking a % of your company's sales and make a difference. If this becomes a habit like brushing your teeth pretty soon the big checks with lots of zeros won't be scary to write. Here is a step by step instruction to ways you can tackle the expenditure above.

Joining fee and auto-ship:

Instead of going out to start looking for people to join your opportunity, one of the fastest ways to ensure cash flow is to LIQUIDATE your products!
See that stash of products lying around your house? (Your health supplements, skin care or water filters, etc) A lot of people leave their stocks lying around the house while going on a recruitment spree forgetting that once you sell off all your stocks, you will break even on your investment!
If you are wondering whether to keep those products so you can try them yourself, don’t worry. There is more where that came from. If you work hard to eliminate your investment costs, you can always purchase more products from the company later on and those products will most likely contribute to your sales volume as well.
The key is to get your WARM MARKET started on the products, and not pitch the opportunity to them straight away! If you try a good product at the supermarket, I am sure you will tell them all about it. Why should you treat your network marketing products any different? Are you afraid to talk to your uncle bob because your products are from a network marketing company?
Once you get your family and friends started on the products (It doesn’t cost you that much considering that those are money set aside for your business whether you sell or give them away), once they see results from it, they will start promoting the products to the people around them!
Don’t you see how by using your inventory when you first started off, you can potentially create runaway word of mouth giving you free warm leads offline? The best thing of all, you can choose from those groups of product users who can be a good business builder because of their trust in the product, you can get them in easily.
Doing so will also eliminate your costs when it comes to auto-ship. When people are actively consuming the product, all your downline will be on auto-ship and you will not be afraid of them canceling their auto-ship because it is taken care off by their warm market demand.

Training Materials

If you want to be successful in network marketing, your must invest in yourself. No I don’t mean investing in stuff that goes below your neck because there is a tendency for network marketers to eat a lot during group gatherings (and grow sideways!):
It is investing in what’s above your neck which is your mind!
Serious network marketers will always invest their hard-earned money in two things.

Leads

Training Materials to upgrade themselves like books and tapes
Since we know that people will be spending money on the second category, why not make a profit from it to fund your business?
One of the ways is to obtain training materials is to join free membership sites that provide free e-books or training material to help you expand your knowledge. These low cost, methods will help you tremendously instead of spending your much needed funds for surviving in your business on expensive hard-cover books that will cost $50-$300.

Phone Bills

As soon as your network begins to grow, you must consider switching to a phone plan that provides low-cost or unlimited access to all sub-lines. This is a great way to save on phone bills when calling your downline. Some telephone companies offer unique phone plans that give you a referral fee or even an overriding percentage over your referee’s or your network’s bill.
Other ways to cut down on phone bills is to go online to coordinate team meetings over the internet. VOIP /Voice Over Internet Protokoll/ tools like Skype and Hotconference are useful to do long distance opportunity meetings and counseling sessions with your upline and prospects. I made very good experience with Hotconfernce and we keep using it in business building very successful. People like the webconferences.

Debt Free Network Marketing

Chapter 5.

Downline: An Asset or Liability?

What is the income you are expecting from your business? Do you know that you have to invest time and money in your downlines? Yes, it is true that you make money when your downline joins you or makes a sale, but most of the time, to build a long term business; you have to invest heavily in their education.

Network Marketing is a business of duplication and although many people will pay the price to build their network, you must be very selective of whom you spend your time with. You can’t possible be everything to everyone and you must select who are the people that you are going places with!

It makes sense because they time you spend with one means time where you could either be developing another or recruiting a new distributor. Furthermore, you have to drive out of your house to see them or accompany them in training and counseling sessions.
Are you prepared to pay the price for ‘this guy’?

Most of the time many people quit network marketing is not because they can’t recruit, but because they spend too much time with a recruit thinking they can change a duck into an eagle. You quack with ducks but soar with eagles, if I am not mistaken. So if you spend too much time with a duck that quacks a lot but doesn’t do anything else, you have no choice but to leave him behind if you need to soar with the eagles (or else you will be like the ‘duck’ as well).

The key point to remember is this:

If you are doing 99% of the work in your network while the rest is doing 1%: START FINDING NEW DOWNLINES,.

They will spend less of your money (and free up your time to make more).

In the next few chapters, I will show you how by erasing some of the expenditures on Network Marketing, you and all your downlines can save time and money (so your downlines will not quit easily due to lack of cash flow and your business will survive better in the earlier stages).
