How To ROOT Samsung Galaxy S I9070 Advance

In this article we will show you how to root Samsung Galaxy S I9070 Advance. I found this root method from XDA forum. Thx to qzem for make this possible. This root method tested/works on XXLD1 firmware (european) and brazilian firmware VJLD1. this can only be done in Windows.

Ok this is the Method:

1. Download GT-I9070-root.rar, and extract it (download link available at the end of article)

2. From downloaded rar you just extracted run program Odin3 v1.83.exe

3. Then open Settings in your phone, go to Aplications -> Development and check USB Debugging and Allow mock locations. Both needs to be Checked (Selected).

4. Turn off phone and turn it back on into Download mode, like this press Volume Down + Home button + Power button, wait untill some "strange" screen appers, put in usb cable and choose continue.

5. Now wait until Odin recognize your phone. It can take a while first time, if you have problems search for samsung drivers on the internet,

6. Under PIT file browse for GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G_20111220_KL6.pit, you have extracted this file before.

7. Under PDA choose rootkernel.tar.md5.

8. Then check what options are checked (Selected), be sure to UNCHECK (remove selction) Re-Partition, Flash Lock, Phone EFS Clear, Phone Bootloader Update! Only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time should be checked (Selected)

9. When this is set just press Start and wait for phone to reboot.

10. Now repeat steps from 4 to 9, with one exception at step 7 now choose xxld1.tar.md5.

11. Download and install Superuser or SuperSU aplication from market and enjoy the rooted phone! And you must also download Busybox to install busyboxbinary. Or you can use Superoneclick, this tools push the Superuser aplication to /system/app and it installs busybox binary. Just search this tools on XDA.

now your phone is rooted.

The Verge has make video comparison between siri and s-voice, this video show a comparison between Apple and Samsung voice assistant. S-voice from samsung galaxy S3, and Siri from iphone 4S.

We have to noticed that both of two voice assistant isn't perfect, indeed, both have many limitations: Siri is faster in responding to S-Voice, on the other hand it can do more things, and is available in more languages ?? than its opponent. If you are looking at various alternative of Astro File manager. this app is worth for your android. Total commander file manager that have many functions: the inevitable cut, copy, paste, rename, delete (no trash), always useful to zip / unzip, very useful view of the two panels side by side, although it is less usable on small screens, while very welcome is the text editor included and the fact that the search function you can also find pieces of text in files.

plugins also available for access to FTP servers, shared folders in Windows and list of our installed app.

Total Commander supports root permissions for common tasks. From the point of view, perhaps lacking a little bit of customization, but to make lovers of custom ROMs will really get their teeth.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Finally Rooted!!!

Chainfire the member of XDA-Developers claims able to root samsung galaxy s3. He repacking the stock kernel and added modified adbd binary that thinks ro.secure=0 (even if ro.secure=1). this will gives access to all adb root commands. then superSU was installed manually. Unfortunately, Chainfire not able to share modified kernel until galaxy s3 spread widely to global market (waiting for final firmware). In his words:

    Unfortunately, I am not able to share the “insecure” kernel with you at the moment, because of fears it is traceable to the leaker (this is said to be the last traceable firmware revision).

    This root is, as expected, trivial. It was a simple matter of repacking the stock kernel, with a modified adbd binary that thinks ro.secure=0 (even if ro.secure=1). This gives access to all adb root commands (see screenshots). Then SuperSU was installed manually.

    Kernel - The modification was trivial, because this time around, Samsung is using the standard boot.img format, instead of the zImage format used for SGS1, SGS2, SGNote, etc, that is much harder to repackage.

    Recovery - The recovery partition is also being used this time around. And thus we can flash recoveries separately from the kernel.

    Bootloaders - There was no warning triangle at boot-up after flashing the modified kernel, but download mode did show a custom kernel flash counter which increased. Whether or not flashing a custom recovery also triggers this counter is as of yet unknown.

    Final note - This was all tested on a current (release candidate) SGS3 firmware. There may be a newer firmware on true retail/production devices. Though some things may change, it is unlikely to changemuch. Let’s hope nothing

    Also, Triangle Away did not work. They have hidden the boot partitions again as on the latest SGNote firmwares.

Zanr Zij a member of XDA-developers forum reported that samsung galaxy s3 have some display problem (defective screen) on his first hands-on. he confirm that he got the final product because the product has IMEI. The image below shows that SGS3's screen become pink set at max brightness (pink tint) comparing to SGS2, Note and One X:

Intel Merrifield and 6331: 22 nm chip for smartphone

Today Nvidia announced the financial results for first quarter which showed a turnover of 924 million U.S. dollars 60 million dollars in profits.

Although forecasts for the next quarter are quite good, talking about the future, was not exactly encouraging to date news regarding the new processor with support for 4G LTE networks. In fact, the much anticipated Tegra processor code-named "Gray" would not come until 2013. Prior to the launch had been set for the end of 2012.
