Good Morning Everyone! It's a fabulous Sunday morning here at Creative Scrappers! I am still trying to adjust to the time change here but overall I am excited that I have an extra hour to scrapbook today! Hubby is at work, and I have all day to play!!!

It is with great pleasure that I showcase our next sketch from our new sketch team member Irene Groneng. You'll notice our new sketches will have some form of color and a few new designs for you! The one Irene created for us today is fabulous for a little paint, glimmer mist or shapped papers. Also today we have our very first MALE guest designer!!! Yes, we do! I have been a fan of Peter's work for a few months now and I think you'll enjoy his layout and blog as well. So, let's get this party started shall we?

Our Guest Designer

Peter van Tilburg

I’m Peter van Tilburg and live in the Netherlands in Werkendam. I am a 21 year old boy.

At this moment I’m still busy with studying. This is my last year of the PABO, a special school for getting my teaching-degree for primary and elementary education. Just another while and than I really can be teaching the kids at school myself.

I have been scrapbooking for about 5 years. I have been published in the Dutch magazines Cards Only and Scrapbook Magazine. You can find my work at my blog. www.scrapsfromaboy.blogspot.com

I’m very Young and also beeing a guy, something you don’t often see in the scrapworld. Until 5 years ago I didn’t have any hobby, but I got rather bored. So I started searching to find something I would like to do. At the library I did see a book about scrapping. I started to read this book and I did get very enthusiastic about scrapping. I started very simple, after that I did find the scrapworld at internet. The different forums, the galeries and many other sites. I just did get more and more enthusiastic, now I’m completely addicted!

I’ve been a member of two Dutch scrapbookstores with their Design Teams. Afterwards I’ve been a Designer by Card Patterns. And today I have been published publishing in the Dutch magazines Cards Only and Scrapbook Magazine.

Too bad nowadays very few guys are busy in the world of scrapping. It would be great to see more male scrappers. It is so much fun and for real it isn’t just for women. I’m not sure if I do have a different look at my subjects or my way of scrapping. I don’t suppose there is so much difference at all. But yes, I’m rather a very quick scrapper. I do glue it all just rightaway on to my work and I’m finished with my layouts mostly within an hour. But there are also female scrappers who do work this way. So before starting I don’t know how my layout will be showing afterwards. Sometimes I do have something in my mind, but while beeing busy scrapping the results are mostly different and most time it is a surprise again.

But I do agree, beeing a male scrapper they always notice me for sure.

My name is Camilla and I live in southern Sweden. I work as a Montessori teacher at a school in my hometown and I really enjoy working with children. I’m married and have two children, Julia and Filip. They are my main scrapping subject.

I started scrapping two and a half years ago, after I got a beautiful scrapped match box from one of my friends. My addictions are patterned papers, flowers, bling and lace. Some say I scrap shabby chic and romantic. I scrap memories for my children, but also to keep sane. I really need to work with my hands and use my creativity. And through my hobby I’ve made a lot of new friends all over the world.

Currently I’m designing for My Scrapbook Nook, Magdas Scrapbooking (a Swedish store) and two inspirational Swedish sites. I also have been guest designing for the manufacturer Rose Moka. I’m honoured to guest design for Creative Scrappers.

My name is Delaina Burns and I live in the small town of Roanoke, Alabama with my husband of 24 years and our two children. Simon is 18 years old and began his first year of college this fall. Anna is 16 years old and is in the 11th grade. I am surrounded by a large extended family, and you will see many of their faces featured on my pages and projects.

I have enjoyed making things with my hands for as long as I can remember. I am a self taught seamstress and have operated a successful custom drapery and bedding business from home for more than 12 years. This job has enabled me to be home for my family, while working and helping provide for them.

I began scrapping 3 years ago, after receiving an assignment from my daughter's cheer coach to make a scrapbook of the season's events. Though very unhappy with the assignment, I persevered and made a few pages. The bug bit and I have never looked back. My love for the craft and the crafters I have met along the way has changed my life. I encourage everyone I know and/or meet to give scrapbooking a try.

I design for, and teach at my local scrapbook store, Sweet Memories in Carrollton, Georgia. In the past year I have been on staff with Scrapbook News and Reviews, My Scrapbook Nook. At the present I am guest designer for My Creative Scrapbook. I have been published in SNR and will have my first paper pub in Scrapbook Trends Magazine in January 2010.

I am Issa Virtucio-Lucido from Laguna, Philippines. I am a full time Mom to two energetic boys, Luigi is 16 and Lorenzo is 5 1/2 years old. I am married for 17 years to my hubby Dodo Lucido.

I started creating pages for my eldest son when he was born in 1993, not knowing that what I was doing was called scrapbooking. Until I met a dear friend Timi in 2003. Since then, I got seriously hooked with this craft. I don't really know my exact style but I love sewing, paper tearing and painting. As of now, I am so eager to try new and different styles and learn more about this wonderful hobby. And since I have two sons to scrap, I fell in love with masculine yet dainty layouts.

I'm July Gaceta from Manila, Philippines. I have been married for 8 years. I have two angels named Kyle and Jean Marie. They helped me open my eyes into new chapter of our lives. That’s when I decided to start scrapbooking to document our journey with my husband, my sisters and myself too, I thought Life is too short to enjoy in every moment.

I just started traditional scrapbooking last January 2009. I have been a digital scrapbooker. I so love this craft that I thought to dabble on how traditional techniques used to create beautiful pages. Then, I started to realize that the creative process for this hobby is so much best for me to escape from my hectic corporate schedule. I love that it gives me new perspective to see things farther than the usual one. This craft is a passion. It gives me so much patience not to give up until I finished what I started.

My style in scrapbooking is experimental. I love to try new things based from previous hobbies I used to enjoy; those are sewing, paper tole, digital art and most especially photography. I thought scrapbooking is perfect to bring together different interests into one beautiful page. I was used to make double-page layout and mini books in digital scrapbooking. With traditional scrapbooking I mostly do 12x12 layouts because it gives me enough space to work on. I always start my page with a sketch. It jump starts my mojo. Since photography is my first-love hobby I can't get enough inspiration from it; I have lots of photos to scrap I'm not even half of it.

My name is Stephanie, I started scrapbooking in Feb '08, attempting a wedding album for my Sister (2 years late, ahem, but who's counting?). I really enjoyed the process and wanted to learn more, so I signed up for an altered album classes and was hooked!

I love getting lost in the process, hands full of paint and ink, and how one creative thought builds on another so naturally. I tell my family, its like Arts and Crafts in my basement EVERY night! Eventually, I began making my own buttons and embellishments out of polymer clay and My Little Bit of Whimsy was born. It began with a mushroom button to coordinate with some Sassafras Lass papers, and evolved from there.

My name is Chantal Anderson and I am from New Brunswick Canada. I was a French teacher for 8th graders for 10 years. I stopped teaching 2 years ago to stay home with my 4 year old son. I have been happily married for 5½ beautiful years.

I was introduced to scrapbooking in the summer of 2003 when I was visiting a few friends and have not stopped since. Scrapbooking and Photography are my passions. I truly love taking pictures of my beautiful son and husband, especially when they play together. Scrapbooking is a lot more than a great hobby for me. It enables me to capture and preserve all of our precious memories together.

I live together with my darling Daniel and our crazy and cute rottie Argos.
I've been scrapbooking for 1,5years now and it’s totally a way of life for me! I've always been very creative, sawing, painting, making jewellery etc and I'm working as an architect since 3 years. So colour, shape and form is my everyday life and I can get inspired from almost anything!

Hi, I am Patti and I am from Alberta, and am married to Glenn. We have two handsome young men who are the centre of my photography world.
I’ve been told by others that there IS a life outside of scrapbooking? With that being said, my other ‘loves’ are my Labrador Retrievers, Rowan and Bentley, reading, watching movies, camping and enjoying the outdoors.

Hi! I’m Helga Payawal-Vergara and I’m a scrapaholic. I’ve been a scrapaholic since 2003. I am married to Gilfred and he very much supports my addiction to this craft. According to him “Scrapbooking is actually the only craft that I have really sustained.” I can’t blame him for saying that because I have invested in other crafts that I didn’t really continue. I’ve been into sewing, painting, cross stitching, ribbon embroidery, crocheting, name it I’ve done it! But it is only scrapbooking that I really continued.

Thanks to my scrapaholic friends who have continued to inspire and encourage me to continue with this craft. This craft may be expensive, but who cares it is worth every penny. It is my creative outlet. It also serves as a stress buster after a day of working as a preschool teacher and Preschool coordinator.

I love to scrap photos of my family especially our son Ike. He is so lucky that I got into this hobby even before he was conceived. I was able to document his growth and milestones.

As a scrapbooker, I love to layer papers and different elements. I usually hand cut paper designs to use as embellishment. I like to use multi-photos on my pages. I am known to have lots of texture and dimension on my designs. Since I usually scrap photos of my son I usually use bright colors. I love to combine red and blue or yellow, orange and brown simply because they are colors that would complement boy layouts. I also love to experiment and combine different technique just so I won’t get bored with my designs. This has made me become a better scrapbooker.

Hiya, I am Jennifer from Southwest Michigan. I live here with my perfect daughter, Natalie. We also live with our 3 lazy dogs,
2 wonderful cats and a bunny named Rockstar. I am a guest teacher at the school district that I attended and the one my daughter attends Kindergarten. She is actually a fourth generation student at this school. I am praying for my own classroom someday! We live in a beautiful area, close to Lake Michigan and Kalamazoo/Portage. We have four very distinct seasons which gives for some great photo opportunities. We love doing everything this state has to offer....whether it's the beach in the summer, sledding in the winter, Tulips in the spring or the lovely colors of the Fall...we are enjoying life!.

I believe that scrapbooking has always been in me. I can remember placing photos in my albums and jotting down a little something in the margin. I started scrapbooking back in 2005 to document my daughter's first July 4th Parade! I have been hooked ever since! The online world of scrapbooking forums and galleries only fueled my obsession. Hi! I'm Jill Sarginson from Ottawa, ON, Canada. I've been married to my husband Dean for 12 years and am mom to my 3 year old daughter Abigail, who is the subject of most of my scrapbook pages! I have been scrapbooking seriously for about 2 years now, mostly creating 12x12 layouts but am venturing into the world of cardmaking (and loving it!) and altered items. My Name is Kim Arledge. My family and I live in the big ole state of Texas but my roots are in Louisiana so I sort of have to claim both. I have 3 beautiful children and a husband who can be pretty awesome too!!! He puts up with me and my endless amounts of scrapbook purchases so he must be a good man!!!!

In 2006, I began to dabble with scrapbooking and quickly became obsessed. Over the past few years I have tapped into a part of myself that I did not even know I had and I am so thankful that I have found something that I am so passionate about. Hi! My name is Mazlina, but most of my friends call me Maz. I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with my wonderful husband and 2 lovely kids; a 4 year-old boy and an almost 2 year-old girl. I am a geologist by profession, but a scrapper at heart. I am relatively new in this hobby, I only started scrapbooking in January 2009; but I'm loving every part of it. It is therapeutic and keeps my creative juices flowing, while making new friends at the same time. Although the job and the kids keep me extremely busy, I always find time to scrap, usually until wee hours in weekend mornings. My kids and family are my source of inspiration, and scrapbooking is the perfect way to preserve the precious memories.

I usually create 12X12 layouts, but I do mini books too. I love bright colors and feminine layouts, perfect for layouts of my boy and girl. I can't seem to get enough of patterned papers! I love to cut and layer them up. I also like to distress and use lots of flowers, bling and stickers. Currently, I am part of the design team for Scrap-It-Lah blog challenge. I am greatly inspired by other scrappers' beautiful creations and Creative Scrappers have tons of marvelous inspirations.

Getting to know ... Jamie

It is with pleasure that i introduce you to our designer, Jamie Harder.

Hi! My name is Jamie and I love to scrapbook! I started scrapbooking after my daughter was born five years ago, but it wasn't until my second daughter was born, almost three years ago, that I really got hooked.

Scrapbooking is a passion for me for so many reasons: I love being able to document my daughter's lives as they grow and learn about themselves and our magnificent world; I love that it makes me take more pictures and that it motivates me to keep learning how to take better pictures; I love my creativity time, where I can "play" and just see what I come up with; and finally, I love the online community of fellow scrapbookers to share in this wonderful hobby with!

I have just recently left my full time position as an environmental educator, so I can be at home with my girls. I feel so blessed to be able to spend so much time with them but if I am missing the work atmosphere, I am lucky enough to still be able to pick up shifts! Being at home has also freed up so much time for me to pursue my love of scrapbooking and I feel so honored to be part of the team here at Creative Scrappers!

A Must Have Scrapbook Supply?

I am a cardstock girl...it is a must have for me!

Funniest thing you've ever scrapbooked?

Hmmm...there are lots of funny things to scrap about with my rambunctious girls! The most recent "funny" layout I did was when my three year old and her little buddy dumped ashes from a campsite fire all over each other. They were soooo dirty!

Who or what inspires you?

I get inspiration from everywhere whether it is looking at other people's creations or seeing a color combo I am drawn to on some bedding in a store or something...everything can relate back to a page! Mainly though, I get my inspiration from the photos I am scrapping.

Do you Snack while you Scrap?

Of course!! I have just discovered chocolate covered pretzels...YUM! I also love to have a glass of red wine.

When do you feel most creative?

During the day and into the early evening.

Do you have a scrapbook confession?

Sometimes I can't sleep because I keep planning pages in my head. I really wish I had more time!

Favorite TV Shows?

Brothers and Sisters, Grey' Anatomy, Entourage, and Rescue Me

What's on your scrap wish list?

I want to buy a Silhouette when they come up with one that is compatible with a MAC.

Hello there.....

I am Loes de Groot, I have been married to Bert for almost 20 years now, and together we have 3 kids .

We live in the north of Holland in a small village called Appingedam. My husband and I run a cattle farm here.

I started scrapbooking in 2006, and i love scrapbooking because it' so much fun!

The colors, the photographing, the sketches,
the different kinds of paper,

and of course the smell of the paper : ) i know it's a little bit crazy....

I also love to crop with my friends, we have a lot of fun together!

Lets meet our Design Team Member Patti McCarthy today!

Hi, I am Patti and I am from Alberta, and am married to Glenn. We have two handsome young men who are the centre of my photography world.
I’ve been told by others that there IS a life outside of scrapbooking? With that being said, my other ‘loves’ are my Labrador Retrievers, Rowan and Bentley, reading, watching movies, camping and enjoying the outdoors.

I have been scrapping for about 10 years and have just begun to dabble in digital scrapbooking. This hobby has brought so much 'richness' to my life. It has landed me many friends, memories, joy and fulfillment. I couldn't imagine being without it.

I am so excited to be part of the Design Team at Creative Scrappers.

A Must Have Scrapbook Supply?

Colorbox Fluid Chalk- Chestnut Roan and Charcoal. They are by far my ‘staples’ o the art.

Funniest thing you've ever scrapbooked?

Hands down, my two boys, Joshua and Jared. You never know what you might get when you pick up the camera and start snapping pictures. I love it though, it creates laughter, memories and ‘fresh’ subject matter for my layouts.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by an amazing photos I may be blessed to have captured of the people and things I love most.

Do you Snack while you Scrap?

No, I try not to snack while I am scrapbooking. I worry too much about spills/messes.

When do you feel most creative?

I feel most creative in the evening while everyone is content and quiet OR first thing in the morning when I am well rested.

Do you have a scrapbook confession?

I really dislike using the THREE “P”s on my layouts ~ pink, purple and pastels. I will go to great lengths to avoid using these colours and like embellishments.

Favorite TV Shows?

Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Survivor, Big Brother, CSI, Criminal Minds

What's on your scrap wish list?

Passionate about art, life and her family, scrapbooking has become truly a passion for her. To capture the memories, she and her family (husband Jim of 9 years, 3 children Riley 5, Jager 3, Ireland 1) ,love to live life to the fullest and they all share in the smiles of the scrapbooks. Leica (pronounced Lisa) graduated from University with an education degree, and has turned this love into teaching scrapbook classes internationally.

Leica currently is the contributing editor for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, nicknamed the "Creative Goddess" by her publisher for her ability to push the limits with what simple products can become.

She has been scrapbooking for 12 years, published hundreds of times in many medias, enjoyed all the different design teams she has been on & currently on, as they always challenge her creatively.

She enjoys trying all different styles and techniques, always having the desire to learn new things. Definitely has the motto that you will complete her classes...she leaves no man standing, but has a sense of humour that you may spend lot's of time giggling in her classes.

Hello there! I'm Michelle, I have been married for 12 years and have two little boys. I also have 2 princess puppy girlies. Before I knew what scrapbooking was, I added journaling and memorabilia to our photo albums. I was introduced to scrapbooking in 2002, and quickly became "obsessed". I started out mostly scrapbooking our vacations. About 3 years ago I realized I was missing the best part of our everyday lives in our scrapbooks. This helped me shift my focus to scrapbooking who we are, not just the places we vacationed and holidays we celebrated.

Scrapbooking gives me the creative outlet I need to help me escape from my left-brained "day" job in finance. I am mostly a simple scrapper, but I do like to roll up my sleeves and get messy sometimes too.

When I am not scrapbooking, crafting, or looking at scrapbooking goodies for future kits, I enjoy trying new recipes, hanging out with my family, and reading the numerous magazines that I get every month. I am really excited about creating new kits each month and working with our inaugural Daisy Girls Design Team.

Good Morning Scrappers!

Don't you love Sunday Mornings? I hope you get tons of inspiration after viewing our sketch and Designer Layouts. I love reveal days! I could spend an hour or so just looking at all the layouts and details created by these fabulous ladies. I must admit we have some serious talent in this little scrapbook world.

Our Guest Designer Romy Veul

Hi! I'm Romy, 16 years old. I live in Holland in a small village near to Amsterdam, together with my parents, two little brothers and our pets. I was introduced to scrapbooking about 4 years ago. I've always been busy with all kinds of creativity: cardmaking, flower-arranging, making bracelets... But all these 'hobbies' were, apparently, not really something for me. About two years after being introduced to scrapbooking, I started making pages myself. I do really love the whole scrap process: photographing, editing pictures, searching for papers in my paper stash... I'm a very passionate scrapper: when all my homework is done, scrapbooking works very restful for me. I don't think there's something like a definition for my style. Sometimes my work is an explosion of color, sometimes it's more like shabby chic or even vintage.

Most of my layouts are about my family. I've got ten little nieces and nephews and two lovely brothers. They are all a perfect subject for my layouts. I'm even addicted to making scrap cards. When I'm not scrapbooking or busy with school, I love to visit blogs, galleries and message boards about scrapbooking. These bring me so much inspiration all the time. I also love playing badminton or doing fun things with friends and family. In the future I would love to be a reporter and/ or a writer and a mom. But I'm only 16, so time enough to think about what I wanna do in the future.

And then, I want to thank Kristine for this great opportunity to be a guest designer for Creative Scrappers. I really love this blog full of inspiring sketches and layouts. You all do an awesome job, girls!

Hello fellow readers! It is with great pleasure for me to introduce you to one of our designers today ~ Amy. Read what Amy has to say about her love of scrapbooking and please give her a warm welcome to our team!

My name is Amy, I live in a small town deep in the heart of Texas. I've been married to the love of my life, Brad, for 15 years. He is an amazing man who supports {or endures, rather} my scrapbooking obsession! I have two daughters, Bethany is 13 & Ally is 10. I am also proud aunt to 3 beautiful little girls, so needless to say, my pages are full of girliness & pink! My family is everything to me, they are my pride and joy and bring me tons of inspiration!

My scrappy style is clean, but whimsical. I love playing with patterned paper and embellishments and enjoy looking for random non-scrappy items that I can use on my pages. I normally scrap 12x12 LOs, but I also love creating cards and altered projects. I love interior design, and often use various scrapbook products to create home decor.

I love using sketches for inspiration, and I'm so excited to be a part of the Creative-Scrappers Team!

There are always funny things to scrap around this family, but I guess one of my favorites was from Thanksgiving 2008 when my oldest daughter and my Dad had a race to see who got the turkey leg!!

I would first like to say THANK YOU to all of you who sent in your application for the DT Call that was posted last week. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the entries and interest in this part time position. The scrapbooker I have chosen to fill my spot is Jennifer French.

Jennifer was previously a member of our design team. I felt this was the best option since I wanted a quick turn around for the team. Jennifer will be part of Creative Scrappers until October 31st with a possibility of extension.

My name is Jennifer French (JenniferF) and I live in SW Michigan with my four year old daughter, Natalie. I recently graduated from Western Michigan University with my Elementary Education degree and Early Childhood endorsement. I am thrilled that I have accomplished my goal of graduation and can't wait to have my own classroom someday. Until that time comes, I will substitute in the school district I went to and the one my daughter will attend next year.

I started scrapping about 4 years ago but become completely obsessed about 2 years ago. I think scrapping was always in me..I can remember putting photos and brochures in albums and jotting a little something in the margin about the picture or event. I love that scrapbooking gives me a creative outlet and lets me explain what the picture(s) mean to me and why I took them. My daughter is my main subject; although, I have been known to pull over and take pictures of anything because something inspired me for a layout.
